Let's Be Clear

If influence plays a big part in how you perceive , then what you perceive will determine how you understand.

We can't execute purpose without focus and clarity. For many of us we can’t move forward until we are clear about the relationships that surround us.

If you don’t see the relationships around you with clarity and Focus what you see about that relationship becomes uncertain. What’s suppose to be consistent will become inconsistent .

[00:00:50] Help me get into how we're going to do.

[00:00:52] Subscribe to the podcast.

[00:00:55] And if you love it and find any value, I need you to go ahead and share it.

[00:01:00] Invite two people with you.

[00:01:03] Tell them perspective is on.

[00:01:05] There's some great stuff going on.

[00:01:07] Listen last week or last week but episode three we ended talking about influence

[00:01:17] and how influence plays a big role

[00:01:19] and how we see and we perceive not just our life but the purpose that we are

[00:01:25] looking to fulfill in life.

[00:01:30] And with that being said, I want to make this statement right?

[00:01:35] That if influence plays a big part in how we perceive

[00:01:41] then what we perceive will determine how we understand.

[00:01:47] Say that again, if influence plays a big part in how we perceive

[00:01:54] then what we perceive will determine how we understand.

[00:02:01] For many of us this year as we are in pursuit of purpose

[00:02:07] we cannot execute that purpose without focus and clarity in our vision.

[00:02:17] For many of us we can't move forward until we are clear about some things.

[00:02:27] For many of us, one of the main things we can't move forward with without clarity

[00:02:34] are the relationships around us.

[00:02:40] Again last week I made this statement that for many of us it's not our enemies

[00:02:48] who play a part in influencing us.

[00:02:50] But that enemy can play a big part in influencing the ones who we love

[00:02:57] that we allowed to influence us.

[00:03:00] What do our closest friends and family members those who we loved nearly?

[00:03:08] Do we know what they guard their ears from?

[00:03:12] Again not just do they guard their ears from gossip about us,

[00:03:16] from talks about us, but do they guard their ear enough to make sure that nothing enters them

[00:03:21] that will cause them to become insecure.

[00:03:25] That will cause them to lose focus on their path to finding purpose.

[00:03:35] Vision is a really big thing when it comes to purpose.

[00:03:42] We can only go as far as we can see.

[00:03:51] And sometimes what we see has to be adjusted so that we can make proper steps forward

[00:04:03] to where we're going.

[00:04:08] For many of us, if our perception and perspective is tainted

[00:04:21] if it's soiled, if it's infected, we can't move any further

[00:04:31] until we rid ourselves of the infection.

[00:04:37] Because what good is it to go into purpose in pain with excess baggage,

[00:04:48] with feelings and hurt that if we just take the time to find the solution for,

[00:05:01] we can move into these areas.

[00:05:03] Clearly, we can move into them with an open mind and move into the knowing that this is

[00:05:14] really where I'm supposed to be.

[00:05:16] This is really what I'm supposed to be doing.

[00:05:20] So for many of you while you're writing your vision boards or you're finishing your vision board,

[00:05:25] I hope you put on there that this year you are going to make some things clear.

[00:05:35] Set some boundaries in certain areas.

[00:05:39] Have specific goals, right?

[00:05:42] Not just unobtainable targets.

[00:05:46] But really set down and think and plan.

[00:05:51] Based off of what I see right now when I'm understanding right now,

[00:05:57] do I have the solution to clear my vision to know exactly where I'm going?

[00:06:08] What you don't want to do is move into certain areas of your life without clarity and

[00:06:14] focus because if you do certain things that should be consistent and constant for you,

[00:06:24] would become uncertain.

[00:06:30] So in that we land in the particular city by the name of Beth Sayida,

[00:06:38] end of Episode 3, we was on a boat with Jesus, ended disciples.

[00:06:44] He was kind of given them a little lecture on infection and influence.

[00:06:50] In telling them pretty much in the nutshell,

[00:06:54] based off of you was perception of me so far and what you've allowed to influence you,

[00:07:00] you really don't understand me and who I am and the magnitude of what I am.

[00:07:09] I'm supposed to pause right there and say this.

[00:07:14] Whatever you do this year, make sure that your perception on God is really, really clear.

[00:07:23] Alright, whatever that means. If that means you get away from negative focus,

[00:07:28] if that means you get away from people who don't believe in God themselves.

[00:07:34] If I'm on this spiritual path of connecting with God this year,

[00:07:41] I need to see him clearly. I need a clear perception and view on him above anything else.

[00:07:54] But after we get off the boat with Jesus, we land in Mark 8 verse 22.

[00:08:01] We're in a town called Beth Sayida, right?

[00:08:05] And it says that as Jesus is getting off the ship, him is disciples

[00:08:10] that I met by a group of people who bring this blind man to Jesus and they act Jesus.

[00:08:19] Can they heal him? Here's something that's really simple, really elementary.

[00:08:33] But it blew my mind right? Jesus does not have any dialogue with this group.

[00:08:40] He doesn't say much else to this group. The very first thing he does is he takes the man by the hand

[00:08:48] and leads him out of the village that he got him from. When the very first things, we have to be okay with

[00:09:00] and we're going to receive clarity and focus, right? We have to be okay with Jesus taking us out of

[00:09:08] environments that had become our normal. Certain things have just become normal for us.

[00:09:21] For some of you insecurity has become normal. For some of you lack poverty, depression,

[00:09:32] anxiety, it's become normal. This almost as if you live there and because you've lived there

[00:09:41] so long, you know where everything is. You know how to maneuver in it, not knowing that being

[00:09:53] just in that state alone will cause you not to move forward. The very first thing Jesus does

[00:10:01] above nothing else is he takes this man out of an environment. I looked up something

[00:10:10] where it came to sight and vision and clarity and I found something in an article written by the

[00:10:19] Cleveland Clinic, right? It says, I'm that vision loss in blindness can be caused by number

[00:10:27] of factors. But some of the main factors are this. You ready? You can go blind or be blind due to genetics,

[00:10:41] due to an environment by an accident or by a disease. I say it again, you can go blind

[00:10:57] through genetics, through an environment by accident or by sickness, some type of disease.

[00:11:15] Here's the funny thing, in Mark 8 we don't know that this man is born blind.

[00:11:24] The Bible doesn't say he's born blind. So genetically we can't really say he was born blind.

[00:11:32] But it raises an eyebrow to me as to why Jesus will take him out of a normal environment.

[00:11:41] You ready? Check this out. What about your environment that does Jesus see that you don't see?

[00:12:01] Why are you on the state there? Why let's come to Buddha? Why are you like the people there? What about

[00:12:09] your environment does God see? You can't stay in. Some of our environments have made us blind.

[00:12:31] Blindness is nothing but a lack of clarity and focus. So some of our environments

[00:12:40] have caused us to lose clarity on our purpose. Some of our environments

[00:12:51] have made the focus that we need to obtain and to be,

[00:12:59] and to discover, have made our focus blurry. And sometimes those environments are enhanced by people.

[00:13:16] So we're around people who are negative. We're around people who don't desire any more out of life.

[00:13:28] We're around people who don't hold us accountable to staying focused.

[00:13:37] We can become blind that there's a bigger picture for our life. So I'll ask this question to you.

[00:13:49] What does Jesus see about the people around you and their influence on you? That he would

[00:13:59] rather heal you alone than around them. Wow, what does Jesus see about your family?

[00:14:09] That he will allow you to feel like you're ostracized in that your body or so.

[00:14:13] And that nobody wants to kick it with you. Nobody wants to talk to you. They really don't want

[00:14:23] you around. So God will let you feel isolation because sometimes the influence of our environment

[00:14:35] will cause us to stay blind longer than we need to be. So do some inventory. What about my environment?

[00:14:44] What about what about the people that are in that environment? Does God want to isolate me from

[00:14:54] so he can heal me? What about certain environments that keep my heart from being open and my eyes

[00:15:07] from being open? Does God see that he doesn't like? That he would rather heal me by myself.

[00:15:18] Then they heal me in their presence. Jesus takes me by the head that come out of the city.

[00:15:32] And here's the next thing Jesus does. Bible says that Jesus spits in this man's eye. For many of us,

[00:15:59] the second step for us to start seeing things clearly is we need a divine solution.

[00:16:10] Here's a crazy thing growing up I've never had to wear like glasses or contacts or anything

[00:16:16] like that. But I do have friends and things that nature who do wear contacts.

[00:16:24] And one thing they have to do in order to maintain those contacts every night,

[00:16:29] they take those contacts and put them in contact solution. Or some people who find themselves with

[00:16:37] allergies a lot and they irritate their eyes. They have to keep like vising in or different

[00:16:43] eye drops and eye solutions for the eyes. Get note that the purpose of those solutions,

[00:16:53] especially if you're using eye drops, one is to relieve pain.

[00:16:58] Treat infection. ease the redness or irritation in your eye or to treat a condition.

[00:17:12] So because of the environment that this man is in,

[00:17:17] Jesus has to add divine solution to his eyes. Because in that environment,

[00:17:32] he suffered pain to his vision. And ultimately because of influence could have

[00:17:39] called an infection that could cause a condition that caused him not to see.

[00:17:55] He's blind because of pain. He's blind because

[00:18:00] while in the midst of travels, he finds himself in a place

[00:18:06] that their influence is so high that things start to infect the way he sees. The next thing

[00:18:20] Jesus does is take spit divine solution and he rubs it in the man's eyes. Can I tell you

[00:18:39] possibly one of the main reasons why he had to take a minor develops before he spit on

[00:18:45] and gave him divine solution? It's because he didn't want his environment to stop his process.

[00:18:57] Let me end the first thing I'm going to do if I see one of my homeboys being spit on his

[00:19:02] A.o. They bite the spit on you or I'm checking the person that's getting ready to spit on them.

[00:19:17] Not knowing that that spit is going to be needed to give him a site back because some of our

[00:19:28] environments are not smarter enough than though. That what God may be trying to do to us,

[00:19:36] may be looking nasty. May look in you main. Doesn't look normal. They don't know that what looks

[00:19:49] nasty to them is actually going to be your divine solution. They don't know that the pain that you're

[00:20:00] going through is not for them to rescue you out of it but it's going to be your divine solution

[00:20:06] to sing your purpose clearly. So again, what about your environment? But he rather pull

[00:20:18] you out of so he can hear you alone. Didn't around them after this disgusting moment of spit.

[00:20:35] Jesus not asking me. Hey bro, what you see? Man looks around his eyes.

[00:20:47] Yeah, I see. I can only see two things. What you see? I see people but

[00:21:16] but they look like trees. They're walking. I see like trees walking. Now here's my problem with

[00:21:45] you're ready? I'm just glass on them. I've got to say that. He sees people no more one. It's the

[00:21:58] first thing, right? But the characteristic people he sees is not normal. They look like trees.

[00:22:19] They look great. They look grand. They look big. But they're inconsistent. She made danger. They're inconsistent.

[00:22:31] Tree's ain't supposed to move. It's not in the nature of a tree to move. But uh

[00:22:41] why? Because they have roots that are deep in the ground and keep them rooted.

[00:22:49] Unable to move but yet he sees people

[00:22:58] watch this and their inconsistency. Okay, so he glasses off. I pull them off. Put it back

[00:23:11] on. Really? He sees what's supposed to be consistent acting inconsistently. Take a

[00:23:31] guy to put them back on. Your best friend ain't supposed to move. They're supposed to

[00:23:49] be by your side and not be inconsistent. But yet right now you see their characteristic

[00:24:02] of being inconsistent. For some of you, you feel like my job is supposed to not move. It's supposed

[00:24:13] to be consistent. I'm supposed to cock in every day, go in every day, leave every day, take a

[00:24:19] lunch break every day, go home every day. But all of a sudden you now see that even what you call

[00:24:31] consistent has the potential of being inconsistent. Here's another thing that amazing me and

[00:24:43] we can ready to go because I got a little bit of work just like me. Ready?

[00:24:47] So only things that are around him during this miracle, watch this are trees and the disciples.

[00:25:04] These are the same people that Jesus told, you're not consistent in knowing me. You're not

[00:25:19] consistent in your learning about me. You're not consistent in your trusting me. So what this

[00:25:31] blind man really is, it's just affirming some of the same things. He just told his disciples on the boat

[00:25:39] about themselves. We got to go back and ask you another question. Are you insisting?

[00:25:53] While we talk about and talk around everybody else and everybody in your life being consistent

[00:25:58] how has be them to be consistent for you and show up for you? What is your ability

[00:26:05] like to be consistent? If I'm supposed to be the rooted friend, if I'm supposed to be the best

[00:26:12] friend of I'm supposed to be the confinant, do I show my ability to be consistent for other people?

[00:26:20] Because relationships always work both ways. Did never one sided.

[00:26:33] You ready? Pursue glasses on again. Bible says Jesus wipes his May his eyes for a second time.

[00:26:43] I said okay, but do you see he says okay I see everything clear now. I'm getting my focus back.

[00:26:56] I'm saying things with clarity again. Here's what Jesus tells them. Go back home. Don't go to the village

[00:27:14] that you just came from. Go back home. Once you have come to certain realizations

[00:27:34] and your mind is healed, your vision is healed, your heart is healed. It's not wise for you

[00:27:46] to not maintain your miracle. Don't go back to the village. Go where? Home. Something

[00:28:01] about home where you can be who you're supposed to be. Because obviously when you've got to this

[00:28:15] village, you already had certain things about you that that environment took away. This environment

[00:28:26] caused pain, caused infection which in return gave you a condition. So don't go back there.

[00:28:44] Back to go. Remember I told you about the Cleveland Clinic? They make this statement about vision.

[00:28:53] Let's say that vision makes a big difference in your life's well-being and quality.

[00:29:05] They say to safeguard your vision. Make sure that you don't put yourself in environments.

[00:29:16] Make sure that you stay away from certain things people end or objects that will cause accidents.

[00:29:25] Make sure that you live a healthy life so that where you don't inherit any conditions.

[00:29:33] That occurs when you go blind. The well-being of who you are and the relationships around you

[00:29:51] hinge on your ability to have a clear view of all of it. So as we go, stay clear

[00:30:09] because you'll have to pin some. Before you go, you already know what to do.

[00:30:18] Share this with two people. I love you. See you Wednesday. Peace.
