[00:00:00] A kind deed and the power of the internet to come up with a response. Tune in for more. Hello and welcome to MoMo634, The Daily Podcast Chopful, a Faithful Inspiration and Motivation. Please Like, Share and Subscribe. MoMo634, Motivational Moments Just for today.
[00:00:41] Since the inception of this podcast I've mentioned that as a young kid, I grew up on 60s and 70s pop radio. Our title today is taken from a song by Dion Warwick, called What The World Needs Now Is Love. Younger listeners made it a famous relative, Whitney Houston.
[00:01:02] I mentioned this song because of something that happened today. Though the heat is intense right now in Texas, our neighbor was out in the noon day sun, Moing his lawn. Eventually it became background noise as I focused on my work.
[00:01:21] The next thing I know, my doorbell camera is alerting me. I opened the app as I was in the back of the house and saw that he had activated the door cam because he was Moing our lawn too. Now I'm thinking, had that been me.
[00:01:38] I'd have been counting down the seconds before I was done and could get back inside to an air condition tone. But he's taking extra time to be a neighbor. It's sad to say, but so often we don't even know our neighbors anymore.
[00:01:55] But here's a young guy that did a kind thing. I popped my head out to thank him for few sleep for his kind deed, but I'd like to do more. Sure, Luke 6 and the Bible talks about doing things for others. Even our enemies while expecting nothing in return.
[00:02:16] I get that. There's also the story in Luke 11 about a neighbor coming to Barrow when he's in need and though the person is all tucked up in bed, it's encouraged to be a good neighbor. The idea is we are to love one another.
[00:02:35] We are to show each other preferential treatment as discussed in Philippians 2-3. So with that said, I need the collective wisdom of the internet to answer the question, how can I thank this young man? I could offer him money. The money I'd have paid are long guy.
[00:02:55] But he didn't ask for it. And I don't want to seem like I'm cheapening the gift that came from his heart. At the same time, it has value. So I want to show appreciation. I could make a dish or dessert, but what about food allergies?
[00:03:16] Is a thank you card enough or a gift card? If so, what kind? Someone raised this young man right and I am deeply appreciative. I'd love for you to chime in with your ideas. Our meme for today says,
