[00:00:00] In 80 Song and a Social Media Celebrity, service the bases for today's analogy.

[00:00:06] Stay tuned!

[00:00:08] Hello and welcome to MoMo634, the Daily Podcast Chalk Full of Faithful, Inspiration

[00:00:18] and Motivation.

[00:00:20] MoMo634, Motivational Moments, just for today.

[00:00:42] Welcome to a new episode.

[00:00:44] Please be sure to like, follow, share, subscribe and or review on whatever platform you

[00:00:49] use to tune in.

[00:00:52] Me and my dated references I know, but I grew up a huge fan of the Jackson 5, later

[00:00:59] known as the Jackson's and their baby sister Janet.

[00:01:04] One of my favorite songs by Ms. Jackson was what have you done for me lately, about

[00:01:09] a guy that pursued a lady further in the initial phases of their relationship, but

[00:01:14] now just lasers about putting no effort into their relationship.

[00:01:20] This prompts the best friend to ask the ironic question that serves as today's episode

[00:01:26] title.

[00:01:28] I've mentioned several times that my day job is in social media.

[00:01:33] One of my clients has millions of followers online and has a pretty robust media schedule.

[00:01:41] Because of this person's fame, I get tons of requests from people wanting my client

[00:01:46] to mention them or pitch their product.

[00:01:49] It all certainly benefits them, but rarely does it go the other way.

[00:01:55] Why mention these two seemingly disparate stories?

[00:02:00] Because we are like that.

[00:02:02] When we first commit ourselves to Christ, we're like the person initially excited to

[00:02:07] be in the relationship.

[00:02:10] But when we realize it's work and we actually have to show up and do stuff, well,

[00:02:16] as Janet says, we just want to put our feet up on the couch.

[00:02:21] In the second example, it's like the celestial bellhop experience episode.

[00:02:27] We are the ones always wanting stuff from God.

[00:02:30] Yet many of us find it difficult to carve out an hour or two to go to worship, which

[00:02:35] is commanded by the way in Hebrews 1025.

[00:02:39] Or read his love letter to us, the Bible.

[00:02:43] Also something required of us according to 2 Timothy 215.

[00:02:48] We benefit from his stature, so we don't think we need to do anything.

[00:02:53] Certainly we can't, in any real sense, as Acts 1725 says.

[00:02:59] However, because we are the ones with no power in the relationship, one would think

[00:03:05] that we would be appreciative and do every single thing we could to show that.

[00:03:11] Yet too often we don't.

[00:03:15] Our meme for today says, we can never outdo God in love.

[00:03:21] But we could certainly give it a try.

[00:03:26] Thanks for listening to Momo 634.
