[00:00:44] [SPEAKER_00]: If you've listened for very long, you know I'm a product of 60s and 70s pop culture.

[00:00:50] [SPEAKER_00]: My very first concert was the Brady Bunch Kids at the San Francisco Civic Auditorium.

[00:00:57] [SPEAKER_00]: We were right next to the left hand speaker, and my mom swore up and down.

[00:01:03] [SPEAKER_00]: She'd never go to another rock concert again.

[00:01:08] [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know it then, but my mom had severe anxiety also, and crowds were her a kille seal.

[00:01:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, one of the songs was one of my favorites from the show, Sunshine Day.

[00:01:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Another one of my favorite songs from another of my favorite shows was Let The Sunshine In from The Flintstones.

[00:01:32] [SPEAKER_00]: I also loved the song, Sunshine On My Shoulders by John Denver.

[00:01:40] [SPEAKER_00]: With all this love for all things Sunshiney, one might think I have a sunny disposition.

[00:01:48] [SPEAKER_00]: I do not.

[00:01:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Not by a long shot.

[00:01:52] [SPEAKER_00]: However, being self-aware is half the battle, right?

[00:01:58] [SPEAKER_00]: You can't fix what you don't know you don't know.

[00:02:03] [SPEAKER_00]: I've made strides in not making an initial outburst like Yosemite Sam in from hair to air, when presented with something I don't like.

[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_00]: If you weren't familiar with the episode, you'll just have to look at the link and watch it.

[00:02:22] [SPEAKER_00]: As I've mentioned before, the thrust of this podcast is to help us get through the 24 hours in a day.

[00:02:29] [SPEAKER_00]: We can make a number of microcourse corrections to get back on track.

[00:02:36] [SPEAKER_00]: So, if I do go full Yosemite Sam, I can dial it back before it has consequences like in the cartoon short.

[00:02:46] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure that anyone will ever label me Sunshiney due to that knee-jerk negativity that I've mentioned in previous episodes inherent in OCD

[00:02:57] [SPEAKER_00]: because our fighter flight switch is faulty.

[00:03:02] [SPEAKER_00]: It's like new information or a new scenario, jump scares the amygdala and anxiety is the Yosemite Sam that goes tumbling down the stairs with his salty and completely faking made up vocabulary.

[00:03:18] [SPEAKER_00]: But I can't let that be an excuse not to make the effort to make that change as I discussed in the episode of the same name and talking about the person in the mirror.

[00:03:31] [SPEAKER_00]: I do count my blessings every day, even during some of the lowest points of the last couple of years that spiritual optimism Paul talks about still comes to the fore.

[00:03:44] [SPEAKER_00]: As he says in Philippians 4, 12 and 13, I know how to live humbly and I know how to abound.

[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm accustomed to any and every situation to being filled and being hungry, to having plenty and having need.

[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_00]: I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength and in 2 Corinthians 417 for our light and momentary affliction is producing for us an eternal glory that is far beyond comparison.

[00:04:21] [SPEAKER_00]: Our meme for today says, even if there is no sunshine today we will always have sun shine S-O-N.
