[00:00:49] Somebody really, really hurt me recently. Just deep down at the cellular level.

[00:00:58] I had to talk to them about a situation, and it did not go well. Not at all.

[00:01:08] It had been a recurring problem, and every effort, every attempt, just stalled out.

[00:01:16] It would go away for a while, and then just rear its ugly head again.

[00:01:23] So a couple of us tried, and outwardly, seemingly failed.

[00:01:29] The Bible talks about mourning over sin. And I've just been eaten up by this person's behavior.

[00:01:39] Not understanding just the dug-in persistence. While I was mulling this over today, for the nth time, it struck me like David talking to Nathan.

[00:01:54] I am the guy.

[00:01:59] How often in the mm-mm-mm two years that I've worn the name Christian have I sinned.

[00:02:08] Big sin, little sin, it's all sin.

[00:02:13] And it all separates us from God.

[00:02:18] As in the episode, The Cycle, the Israelites rebelled time and time again, only to get their back against a wall and cry out,

[00:02:29] We get it! We'll behave!

[00:02:32] Only to have God deliver them so they could do it all over again after a short breather.

[00:02:39] You are like that.

[00:02:43] I am like that.

[00:02:47] My sins may not be your sins.

[00:02:50] Your sins may not be my sins.

[00:02:54] You may think one person's sins are major, soul-threatening sins.

[00:03:01] But they all have the power to separate us from God eternally, if we don't repent.

[00:03:10] We aren't hurting each other the most.

[00:03:13] No, it's like Jesus said in Luke 10 16 and John 12 48.

[00:03:20] Those who reject His word are rejecting Him, not us.

[00:03:28] Whether the person who committed a wrong repents or not has no bearing on my soul's eternal home, provided I try to reach out as I have true opportunities to do so in love, according to Galatians 6 1.

[00:03:47] So like in the episode, Nothing Else Matters, I need to keep working for the kingdom.

[00:03:55] Whether people listen or don't, I'm judged only when I fail to speak up for right.

[00:04:04] When I fail to impart the word to a soul still capable of receiving it.

[00:04:11] A conscience not fully seared over.

[00:04:15] 1 Timothy 4 2

[00:04:17] Keep at it, because James 5 20 points out how vital this is.

[00:04:25] Consider this.

[00:04:28] Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and cover over a multitude of sins.

[00:04:42] Our meme for today says, God hasn't given up on us.

[00:04:47] So likewise, we must persevere with others.

[00:04:53] The golden rule applies here too in that I know I would want someone to pursue me doggedly if I were lost.

[00:05:02] Just like the parable of the shepherd who goes after the one stray sheep.

[00:05:08] What gives me hope is knowing the word is in there.

[00:05:13] Remember, sometimes you don't immediately see the fruit.

[00:05:16] But that doesn't mean it won't reap a harvest someday, provided God grants us the grace of more time.

[00:05:26] Like that song, The Rose.

[00:05:29] Remember, in the winter, far beneath the bitter snows,

[00:05:35] lies the seed that with the sun's love in the spring becomes the rose.
