[00:00:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Putting others first is selfless. But only failed to care for self. We set ourselves up to crash and burn.
[00:00:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Tune in for more.
[00:00:15] [SPEAKER_00]: Hello, and welcome to MoMo634. A daily podcast, chalkful of Facebook inspiration and motivation. Please like, share and subscribe.
[00:00:27] [SPEAKER_00]: MoMo634, motivational moments, just for today. In the episodes I know you are, but what am I?
[00:00:49] [SPEAKER_00]: And top tip to recharging your spiritual batteries.
[00:00:54] [SPEAKER_00]: I discuss that I'm an ambervert, having traits of both introverts and extroverts.
[00:01:01] [SPEAKER_00]: I've also mentioned a number of mental, mood, and temperament shifts that come with aging.
[00:01:09] [SPEAKER_00]: So, too, has age amplified, no pun intended. The need for more quiet. Hence the episode on noise filtering earbuds recently.
[00:01:22] [SPEAKER_00]: And maybe it's because of my lifelong tendency to run Pal-Mell at 120 miles per hour, also discussed in a recent episode.
[00:01:32] [SPEAKER_00]: But I have found myself being very protective lately of my evenings and weekends.
[00:01:40] [SPEAKER_00]: As I've noted in a number of episodes on filters and boundaries,
[00:01:46] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm trying to break the habit of responding to everyone immediately in my panic that I will forget something.
[00:01:55] [SPEAKER_00]: When I actually follow that intention, I am better able to compartmentalize and focus on me time.
[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_00]: I am using scheduled sense more in email so as not to give the appearance that I am working during non-working hours.
[00:02:15] [SPEAKER_00]: I need to be firmer in my intentionality to prioritize self, no just popping into check emails, texts and social media.
[00:02:26] [SPEAKER_00]: I need to give myself permission to have an off button.
[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_00]: When I deviate, it has to be for a true emergency and ignore the thinking about it right now, so would you mind doing XYZ requests that are not time-to-date?
[00:02:45] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm also putting together other time and project management tools in place, like Trello, Assana is also good to keep me on task with teammates.
[00:03:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Setting up systems and refining them takes time, but I am worth it.
[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_00]: So are you.
[00:03:09] [SPEAKER_00]: God in his wisdom modeled downtime in his creation week by setting aside time for rest. He knows what we need.
[00:03:21] [SPEAKER_00]: Our meme today echoes this.
[00:03:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Rest to be at your best.
[00:03:28] [SPEAKER_00]: We all want to give our best and a well-rested person can do that.
[00:03:36] [SPEAKER_00]: What's the hardest part for you in prioritizing self?
[00:03:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Comment below so that we may brainstorm.
