[00:00:29] I often talk about seasons.
[00:00:46] A patch of this, time with that, seasons of life, mental health, all the things, as in
[00:00:55] Ecclesiastes chapter 3.
[00:00:58] Longtime listeners know insomnia is one of my crucibles.
[00:01:03] I had a pretty decent grip on it, but it's back again.
[00:01:08] If I've fallen asleep before 3 or 3.30 in the last several days, I certainly can't recall
[00:01:16] it.
[00:01:17] Add in some morning meetings, deadlines, and events, plus some sort of low-grade malaise
[00:01:25] the family seems to be feeling, whether illness or allergies, and there you have it.
[00:01:31] Which, of course, exacerbates the OCD.
[00:01:35] Mood.
[00:01:37] And now, many panic attacks.
[00:01:40] Hence our title, taken from the Smith's iconic 80s song.
[00:01:47] So now, everything is all jumbled into a horrible catch-22 cycle.
[00:01:53] I'm doing my breath work, plying on the lavender and bergamot, as I mentioned in our last episode.
[00:02:00] But, my sleep cycle is shot, and I'm working on re-establishing hardline sleep hygiene rules
[00:02:09] about screen time and the like, using my supplements, etc.
[00:02:15] It feels like I'm starting from scratch, and that it will take some time to regroup and
[00:02:22] see the fix come to fruition.
[00:02:25] So, bear with me.
[00:02:27] I'm trying to crank things out as best I can, but I feel like a zombie going through the motions.
[00:02:36] Psalm 3.5 says,
[00:02:38] I lie down and sleep.
[00:02:40] I wake again, for the Lord sustains me.
[00:02:45] Our meme for today says,
[00:02:47] Instead of counting sheep, count on the shepherd.
