[00:00:00] Maybe you've heard the expression, choose your heart, but you've never heard it like this, stay tuned
[00:00:07] Hello and welcome to MoMo634, the Daily Podcast Chalk Full of Faithful Inspiration and Motivation
[00:00:18] MoMo634, Motivational Moments, just for today
[00:00:41] Welcome to a new episode, please be sure to like, follow, share, subscribe and or review on whatever platform you
[00:00:49] use to tune in. With a title like this one, you know it's going to be a wild ride, but bear with
[00:00:57] me and you'll see where I'm going. You know I'm a meme queen and there's one that's making
[00:01:03] the rounds saying choose your heart. It compares two things that are hard, one positive and one negative.
[00:01:12] The positive one means it's hard because you have to roll up your sleeves and dig in, putting in the
[00:01:17] effort to fix it. The negative is the hard that says, this is too hard, give up and it stays hard
[00:01:26] because it never gets fixed. I've been thinking about what I and a number of close friends and
[00:01:33] family have gone through lately. It seems like a lot. In our Monday night family Bible study,
[00:01:41] we've been reading through the book of James. He tells us through the inspired word that
[00:01:46] trials bring about patience and growth. Pair that with Philippians 413, I can do all things through
[00:01:54] Christ who strengthens me. I often say that I trust God to do the heavy lifting because it's for
[00:02:02] certain that I cannot do it on my own. Just thinking about me trying to lift things on my own,
[00:02:10] gave me the craziest mental image. Many years ago there was an episode of SpongeBob
[00:02:17] where he felt kind of puny because well if you've ever watched the show, you know, he just is.
[00:02:25] In this episode he's kind of tired of being like the 98 pound weakling on the back of the old
[00:02:31] comic books so he gets a pair of inflatable arms, making himself look muscular to impress people during
[00:02:40] a lifting competition. Being that the arms are fake plastic, the odds that he's truly going to lift
[00:02:48] anything are virtually no. That's me and well anyone trying to lift troubles without God's strength
[00:02:58] backing us. If you were going through struggles let God do the heavy lifting but we must do like
[00:03:07] the old expression says, let go and let God. Too often we either ask God to take it away
[00:03:16] which doesn't allow for the patience and growth that trials give us. Or we grab it back like
[00:03:23] toddlers with a big knee do it which isn't truly giving it to God to do the heavy lifting or strengthening
[00:03:30] us. Our meme for today says, you don't have to fake it till you make it you only need rely on God's
[00:03:39] strength, timing and provision. Thanks for listening to Momo 634 motivational moments just for
