[00:00:11] Hello and welcome to MoMo634, the daily podcast chock full of faith-filled inspiration and motivation.

[00:00:42] Years ago, I was shopping at the supermarket when my oldest was just a toddler. He told
[00:00:49] me the name of two products that he wanted. To my knowledge, he had never consumed either
[00:00:55] one. So, I questioned him a bit, wondering how he knew he would like it. He told me,
[00:01:03] because the man on the TV said so. Fast forward to today. Marketing is eerily accurate. You've
[00:01:14] probably experienced it. We mention a product behind closed doors with our family. The next
[00:01:21] day, we see ads for that very thing popping up on our phones. I've been helping with a
[00:01:28] social media campaign for an event. Someone told me that companies now know so much about you that
[00:01:36] they can put a geofence around your work and or home and target ads based on where you live,
[00:01:45] your income, what music you like, what hobbies you have, where you like to vacation. Very big brother,
[00:01:54] and very creepy. Well, guess what? Satan is that creepy guy. He knows what sins you like,
[00:02:04] and he knows just how to market them to make you buy. He's like that guy on the TV who tells you it's
[00:02:13] good for you or that you'll like it or any number of things just to get you to plunk down your hard-earned
[00:02:21] cash or your soul. By the way, my son outright rejected one of the two items he asked for. The
[00:02:32] other he tried but didn't stick with. And that's really the way of it. Look at the Garden of Eden.
[00:02:41] Buyer's remorse is a thing, y'all. No, we may not die instantly on the spot, but at some point,
[00:02:50] Satan's smooth lies sit in our bellies like that product my kid wanted, roiling with remorse.
[00:03:02] As pointed out in yesterday's episode, the devil likes to keep us busy. That's one of his tricky
[00:03:10] methods. The other is to geofence us. When he starts his little sales pitch, pitchfork more like,
[00:03:20] remember these words from John 8 44. You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out his
[00:03:31] desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, refusing to uphold the truth because there is no truth in him.
[00:03:40] When he lies, he speaks his native language because he is a liar and the father of lies.
[00:03:49] That's the salesman you're dealing with. He will say anything, just like the episodes
[00:03:56] Satan and the Solicitor and What Does Satan Look Like? As we discussed in a recent episode,
[00:04:04] in contrast, we can trust God because of his impeccable record of truth with us.
[00:04:13] Satan might package it up prettily, but hell is no luxury vacation. Trust God and you will have an
[00:04:21] eternity of appreciation for his truth, care, concern, and love for us.
[00:04:29] Our meme for today says, chuck Satan's marketing sales pitchfork out of the window and instead trust
[00:04:38] God's insurance policy. How have you been able to steer clear of Satan's sales pitchfork?
[00:04:46] Give us some examples below.
