[00:00:00] Plata Toots, a Bound, but when given a real opportunity to walk the talk, take it.

[00:00:07] Tune in for more.

[00:00:12] Hello and welcome to MoMo634, the Daily Podcast Chalk Full of Faithfield Inspiration

[00:00:18] and Motivation. Please Like, Share and Subscribe.

[00:00:24] MoMo634, Motivational Moments, just for today.

[00:00:43] I've freely confessed that this podcast is my space to explore the intersect of faith, mental wellness

[00:00:51] and motivational encouragement.

[00:00:54] I try to authentically process and talk about life with neurodivergence and mood disorders.

[00:01:03] Yesterday, the rubber meth the road.

[00:01:06] I have a friend who is currently walking the hardest path in their life yet.

[00:01:13] I'm using the plural to off-use-gate details as it's not my path or story to tell.

[00:01:19] Other than in Rosenkrans and Gildens' turn are dead-assides.

[00:01:24] If you weren't familiar with the reference, it's a play by Tom Stopperd in which the titular characters

[00:01:29] retail Shakespeare's Hamlet as minor characters with a limited view of the full scope of the play.

[00:01:36] Though I have mentioned many times that I'm not a clinician,

[00:01:40] I have discussed the importance of tribe and to extend our play analogy a supportive cast of characters.

[00:01:48] In fact, both episodes this week thus far have discussed influence and reaching out to others.

[00:01:55] So yesterday, when my friend reached out to me in a very dark moment,

[00:02:00] I found myself relating some of the nuggets we've unearthed together here in this space.

[00:02:07] My friend had a severe ant infestation, automatic negative thoughts,

[00:02:13] so we challenged those thoughts and tried to replace them with truth.

[00:02:18] We flipped the script and looked at the positive side of the negative statements

[00:02:23] to see if those might more align with the truth.

[00:02:27] And of course, having just discussed my love of all things meme-e, I sent some memes and funny videos.

[00:02:36] I was told the conversations and memes helped, but I know my friend has a very long road ahead

[00:02:43] given the unique complexities in this particular situation.

[00:02:48] I wanted to share this for a few reasons.

[00:02:52] First, to explain my conspicuous absence,

[00:02:56] I had limited time and had to choose what was most urgent.

[00:03:00] Loving a friend, particularly in moments of need, meets that definition.

[00:03:07] My husband often says that when we have opportunities to show God we mean it,

[00:03:12] when we say we love him, we need to follow through.

[00:03:17] I think it's the same with friendship, investing in love and helping someone to feel that they

[00:03:22] matter to us and to God is worthy work.

[00:03:27] Galatians 6 2 says, carry one another's burdens and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

[00:03:36] Secondly, I'm trying to communicate that, though certainly not perfect, only Christ is,

[00:03:41] flawed humans such as we are, can put the ideas here into practice to affect change.

[00:03:49] Thirdly, it's to bear witness to the fact that actions speak louder than words.

[00:03:55] Whereas we meet almost daily, these could all just be platitudes from some faceless lady on the internet.

[00:04:02] Much like the stereotype of the sweaty undershirt-clad guy in his mom's basement,

[00:04:07] pretending to be the beautiful women stalking your profile on social media and hitting you up for

[00:04:13] a friend request. Now, I'm a real person trying to live out a life of faith authentically.

[00:04:22] I believe in the things I tell you here and had an opportunity to share that with you.

[00:04:28] Our meme for today says, Speak Love, Be Love.

[00:04:33] Has someone been love and action for you? Share your story below.
