[00:00:01] A sentimental day and a head filled with lessons from my mom. And of course, my Heavenly Father. Stay tuned. Hello and welcome to MoMo634. [00:00:45] Though my oldest son's birthday is technically tomorrow, we celebrated today as it was his sister's day off. We went to a restaurant new to us but that we've been wanting to try. We ran into our preacher from church in his wife and ran a few errands.

[00:01:03] My first newsletter for the new job went out today and was a smashing success. Not that I haven't created them before I have. But to have people I didn't know right to me to tell me how much they enjoyed it. Really touched me.

[00:01:21] I suppose after the last two toxic work environments, I wasn't expecting the feedback. That coupled with my boss and her boss both telling me how much they appreciated my work. Well, I didn't realize how big a hit my self-esteem had taken.

[00:01:41] I knew on one level that I was very hurt and traumatized. But now I just feel like a plant that is opening up in the sun and it's a marvelous feeling. I think it's why I've mentioned kindness so much of late and pouring ourselves into other people.

[00:02:01] Though I have an IQ in the gifted range and did fairly well in school, considering I didn't really apply myself as I could have. My mom always told me my citizenship grades were more important than my academic performance.

[00:02:19] That being a decent human being was far more important than a grade. Given that my son's birthday is tomorrow and that he shared a birthday with our cat that passed away last year, I'm a little more sentimental than usual today.

[00:02:37] Though I've already shared with you, I cry at commercials. He was my mom's first grandson and for many years until we adopted his siblings, her only grandchild given that I'm an only child.

[00:02:53] On the eve of a very special day, I'm thinking about my mom who taught me a lot of things that I've tried hard not to emulate, but also taught me many that I have.

[00:03:06] My middle cat who would have been the big two-oh and my oldest son who is my hero in so many, many ways. I'm just letting myself feel all the feelings and it's okay.

[00:03:25] As I learned from my mom, so I teach my son and to him I say these words found in Proverbs 410. Listen my son and receive my words and the years of your life will be many. Our meme for today says, Good generational cycle, praise God!

[00:03:52] Poor generational cycle, be the cycle breaker with God's help. The day ended with my husband and I thanking God for his blessings as we emerge through the complex lessons and growth of the past few months. Yes, even when life tilts a little sideways,

[00:04:14] God is good. Thanks for listening to Momo 634. motivational moments just for today. Please subscribe, give it a like or review, follow along on social media or your favorite podcast platform and tell a friend to have episodes in the
