[00:00:00] Today we focus on finding beauty in the bleak. Stay tuned.

[00:00:05] Hello and welcome to MoMo634, the Daily Podcast Chalk Full of Faithful Inspiration

[00:00:15] and Motivation. MoMo634, Motivational Moments, just for today.

[00:00:22] Welcome to a new episode. If you like what we do here, would you please take a moment to hit like or share?

[00:00:45] Thank you.

[00:00:48] I'm sure just about everyone has heard the expression, everything is bigger in Texas.

[00:00:54] Well, over the last few weeks we've had a number of very big storms.

[00:01:01] Many of which have resulted in devastating tornadoes.

[00:01:06] Through our three-plus years here, a few have come close but we've been blessed to escape any damage.

[00:01:14] Our hearts go out to those who have.

[00:01:18] What's also bigger in Texas are our closets.

[00:01:23] Very early this morning, a severe thunderstorm warning came through,

[00:01:28] citing the potential for tornadoes, damaging hail and flooding.

[00:01:33] And encouraging sheltering in place away from glass.

[00:01:38] Many veteran Texans tease the silly Californians about their reliance on these warnings,

[00:01:43] but as newbie Texans, we headed for the master closet as we have done before.

[00:01:50] This was around 3am. Generally folks are pretty grumpy and tired in the middle of the night.

[00:01:58] But as I sat there with my grown daughter snugged up with her head on my lap

[00:02:03] and looking around at my family, I felt blessed.

[00:02:08] Having all three of my children still with us is a true blessing.

[00:02:13] And laughing and being silly together while writing out the storm,

[00:02:18] created a snapshot in my heart to pull out when these house-y and days are gone

[00:02:23] or for them to look back on when I am gone.

[00:02:28] Today marks the one year anniversary of the death of a beloved aunt.

[00:02:33] We would visit her and my grandparents in St. Louis.

[00:02:37] I remembered when I was just a tiny kid during one of our visits,

[00:02:41] there was a tornado warning.

[00:02:44] I remember my granddad carrying me down to the stormseller.

[00:02:48] It's a crystal clear memory even after all these years.

[00:02:55] These precious memories connect one generation to another.

[00:03:00] The Bible often speaks of passing down oral traditions and instructions

[00:03:05] to keep his word alive in our hearts.

[00:03:09] It's such a beautiful way to connect with each other

[00:03:13] and the memories it creates are priceless.

[00:03:16] Our meme for today says,

[00:03:19] Fond memories are the connective tissue between one generation and the next.

[00:03:25] Cherish them.

[00:03:27] Drop a comment below and let me know how you are preserving your precious memories.
