[00:01:25] Last night at our midweek service we sang one of my absolute favorite hymns, sing to me

[00:01:32] of heaven.

[00:01:34] What I love most about this song is that it talks about how focusing on our real goal

[00:01:40] a life in heaven with God can help us transcend our sorrows and trials here.

[00:01:46] One to verses one and three.

[00:01:49] Sing to me of heaven, sing that song of peace from the toils that bind me it will bring release.

[00:02:00] Burdens will be lifted that are pressing so showers of great blessing or my heart will

[00:02:07] flow.

[00:02:09] Sing to me of heaven, tenderly and low till the shadows or me rise and swiftly go when

[00:02:18] my heart is weary, when the day is long.

[00:02:23] Sing to me of heaven, sing that old sweet song.

[00:02:29] James 513 says, Is any among you suffering?

[00:02:34] Let him pray.

[00:02:35] Is anyone cheerful?

[00:02:37] Let him sing praise.

[00:02:41] Throughout my Christian life, during some of the hardest times and during some of the

[00:02:45] most joyful moments, songs of praise have played a part in helping me move through them.

[00:02:53] Look at the book of Psalms.

[00:02:55] It did the same for King David and others in that period of time and we have them recorded

[00:03:02] for our benefit today.

[00:03:04] In fact, many of our hymns are built on the Psalms.

[00:03:09] Our meme for today says, Like books, music can transport us to world's unknown.
