[00:00:00] Do you sometimes feel that you don't measure up to others? Roughly 7 out of 10 do.

[00:00:06] Tune in as we explore more on this topic.

[00:00:12] Hello and welcome to MoMo634, the Daily Podcast Chalk Full of Faithful, Inspiration, and Motivation.

[00:00:21] MoMo634, Motivational Moments, just for today.

[00:00:43] Welcome to a new episode. Please be sure to like, follow, share, subscribe and or review on whatever platform you use to tune in.

[00:00:52] Most of us doubt ourselves sometimes or our abilities.

[00:00:57] But those of us with Moode disorders or neurodivergence seem to take this to the level of an extreme sport.

[00:01:03] Thoughts like, if people really knew me, they wouldn't like me.

[00:01:08] Or, why did I ever think I could do insert skill or ability here?

[00:01:14] Or, I'm going to get fired because I don't belong with people here who can do so much more than I can.

[00:01:21] What's pernicious about this thought pattern is that it can become paralyzing and thus a self-fulfilling prophecy.

[00:01:30] In a number of episodes, we've discussed automatic negative thoughts or ants and how to combat them by deconstructing them and also by flipping the script.

[00:01:41] A theme in these episodes has to do with evaluating these thoughts.

[00:01:45] Is there any factual basis for them or just your completely subjective feelings?

[00:01:52] Have you received disciplinary warnings?

[00:01:55] Or is anyone expressed concerns about the quality of your work?

[00:01:59] Flupying the script has to do with providing yourself with an internal response to these negative thoughts.

[00:02:06] For example, I submitted a resume and went through three rounds of interviews.

[00:02:12] I've earned my spot on this team.

[00:02:15] One of the difficulties with Moode issues is that these thought patterns aren't rational.

[00:02:21] It seems that way in our own mixed up neurons and wonky brain chemistry, but it's a bit like the movie Harvey.

[00:02:28] Only L would pee doubt sees the poooka.

[00:02:32] God has blessed us each with differing talents and abilities.

[00:02:37] The whole metaphor of the body used in 1 Corinthians 12 bears this out.

[00:02:43] Each person contributes different gifts to the team.

[00:02:47] So making an apples to apples comparison won't work.

[00:02:51] If there are kernels of truth uncovered as you challenge these thoughts, try to address them without the all or nothing framework attached.

[00:03:01] Why do I always?

[00:03:04] How come I can never those types of thoughts?

[00:03:09] Our meme for today says,

[00:03:11] God made each of us unique. There is no one like you.

[00:03:16] Comparison is the thief of joy.

[00:03:19] How do you combat imposter syndrome?
