God's Timing

[00:01:02] an upheaval due to a number of factors. Yes, the kitten discussed in the last episode is a contributing factor, but also the ramp up of a new work contract, the anticipation of some home repairs

[00:01:16] and the work arounds in the interim. Preparation from my husband's retirement and of course, some father's day celebration prep. Yes, we have an ambitious agenda to get through, but the end of

[00:01:31] the tunnel after a prolonged rough patch is on the horizon. Psalm 130, 5 says, I wait for the Lord. My soul does wait and in his word, I put my hope. What are my favorite verses about waiting for God's timing? His Proverbs 1312 which says, Hope deferred makes the heart sick,

[00:01:58] but desire fulfilled is a tree of life. In 2 Peter 3-8, God tells us, beloved, do not let this one thing escape your notice. With the Lord, a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years

[00:02:16] are like a day. And in Isaiah 559 we find these words. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways, higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. I've lived long enough

[00:02:35] and through numerous setbacks that seem detrimental at the time, but as God promises in Romans 828, everything worked out for my good. I am confident this time will be no different. As he tells us in Exodus 14, the Lord will fight for you. You need only to be still.
