[00:00:00] We want forgiveness instantly when we are at fault, but when someone wrongs us, we find forgiving hard.

[00:00:10] Tune in for three things to consider.

[00:00:30] After the scenario I shared in our weekend bonus episode called Weathering Trials, I've

[00:00:54] been struggling with anger and bitterness while also trying to put the person who wronged me at the

[00:01:02] foot of God's throne in prayer. No one is worth my soul, so while I can mourn about the wrong

[00:01:12] done to me, I can't wallow there nor let my understandable anger cross the line into sin as cautioned by

[00:01:22] Ephesians 4, 26 and 27. Here are three things to keep in mind about anger, bitterness, and lack of

[00:01:33] forgiveness towards others. One, these negative and ungodly emotions are a poison you inject

[00:01:42] into your own veins. It does nothing to the person who wronged you, it only hurts and kills you.

[00:01:52] Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, outcry and slander along with every form of malice,

[00:02:02] Ephesians 4, 31. Colossians 3, 8 says this, but now you must put aside all such things

[00:02:11] as these, anger, rage, malice, slander and filthy language from your lips.

[00:02:21] Two, there are consequences at the solular level. When you refuse to forgive, you put your soul

[00:02:30] in danger. Mark 1125 says, and when you stand to pray, if you hold anything against another,

[00:02:40] forgive it so that your Father in heaven will forgive your trespasses as well.

[00:02:47] Matthew 6, 14 and 15 continues this thought,

[00:02:53] for if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you,

[00:03:00] but if you do not forgive men their trespasses neither will your Father forgive yours.

[00:03:06] Matthew 18 offers us a glimpse of the unmerciful servant and his ultimate destruction.

[00:03:17] Further, hatred and rage are listed as works of the flesh in Galatians 5,

[00:03:24] and it states those who practice such cannot inherit the kingdom of God.

[00:03:32] 3, when you refuse to forgive, you are the antithesis of love found in 1 Corinthians 13, 4 through 8.

[00:03:45] And God is love. 1 John 4, 8 says whoever does not love does not know God because God is love.

[00:03:58] Here's a bonus thought. Romans 12 tells us not to repay evil for evil and that vengeance belongs

[00:04:10] to our Father God. Our meme for today says, forgiving others is an act of obedience that will

[00:04:20] please God and freeze us. Forgive and live. How do you handle forgiving others? Comment below.
