[00:00:59] I'd love to be one of those people who poots out a block of episodes at a time, all calendared
[00:01:06] up pretty, with topic and socials all graphed out.
[00:01:11] But that's not how my muse works.
[00:01:14] This podcast is like the tagline ripped from the headlines – of my life.
[00:01:21] So we are still dealing with my daughter's medical crisis.
[00:01:25] She's still very weak and woozy and not able to be on her own because of the dizziness, etc.
[00:01:33] Since my hubby was preaching at church today, and my oldest was leading the song service,
[00:01:39] and my youngest gave the Lord's Supper talk, I remained at home.
[00:01:45] While my daughter snuggled next to me and dozed, I watched our neighboring congregation's
[00:01:51] service online.
[00:01:54] In case you're wondering why I didn't watch my guys, we post services after the fact.
[00:02:00] During communion, it struck me.
[00:02:04] I get very emotional thinking about Christ's suffering and all of the verses about the
[00:02:10] old sacrifices requiring so much blood.
[00:02:13] And with the lack of sleep and this crisis so fresh in my mind, today really hit me.
[00:02:22] It dawned on me that one of the realities of my daughter's condition is that if her numbers
[00:02:30] hit a certain level, it necessitates a transfusion.
[00:02:35] People donate their blood so someone can live.
[00:02:42] Christ willingly donated his blood so that we might live.
[00:02:51] Hebrews 9.14 says, How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered
[00:03:00] himself unblemished to God, purify our consciences from works of death so that we may serve the
[00:03:09] living God.
[00:03:12] John 15.13 tells us, Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his
[00:03:20] friends.
[00:03:23] Our meme for today says, There is power in the blood.
