[00:00:42] A dear friend of mine recently posted on social media that her toddler is in the throes of the terrible twos, and posted a humorous meme while raising the SOS. I somewhat jokingly replied that she would long for these days in the face of hormonal teenage drama.
[00:01:01] And it's true. Where you are at any given season of life can reframe your perspective. For example, in times past when I worked crazy hours, I might have been tempted to complain or get frazzled. Now I welcome the blessing after the recent contract woes. Perspective.
[00:01:24] It's been close to triple digit heat this week. I might have complained about that as I did to you last summer. But after a month without air conditioning? Nope. I'm blessed to have a home with a working way to cool down. Perspective.
[00:01:44] Philippians 214 says, do everything without complaining or arguing. Sometimes I think that verse needs a comma and then my name after it. But yeah, perspective matters. As with the episode flip the script about automatic negative thoughts, ants. No 2 it is with perspective. Refrain the complaints and appreciate the blessings.
[00:02:11] Our meme for today says, just like changing one's location to enjoy a different view gives new meaning to perspective. Looking at problems from a new angle provides a new perspective about blessings. Remember, it's all about location, location, location on the journey.
