[00:00:48] [SPEAKER_00]: The Lord will fight for you.

[00:00:51] [SPEAKER_00]: You need only to be still.

[00:00:54] [SPEAKER_00]: But the context of that verse adds some texture to its beauty.

[00:01:00] [SPEAKER_00]: The Lord delivered the children of Israel from their bondage.

[00:01:05] [SPEAKER_00]: They had been slaves for a little over 400 years,

[00:01:09] [SPEAKER_00]: and God enacted his plan to bring it to an end.

[00:01:14] [SPEAKER_00]: They were barely under way when they started the first of their litany of complaints.

[00:01:21] [SPEAKER_00]: God was going to abolish their enemies,

[00:01:24] [SPEAKER_00]: but they wanted to armchair Quarterback,

[00:01:29] [SPEAKER_00]: much like we do today.

[00:01:32] [SPEAKER_00]: An armchair Quarterback is just like a backseat driver.

[00:01:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Not the one doing the actual heavy lifting,

[00:01:40] [SPEAKER_00]: but always with lots of commentary and plenty to say in the way of critiques.

[00:01:49] [SPEAKER_00]: As a parent with a child, sometimes the child will bring a broken toy for the parent to fix,

[00:01:56] [SPEAKER_00]: but lacks the patience to wait it out.

[00:02:01] [SPEAKER_00]: The Bible is full of examples of this.

[00:02:05] [SPEAKER_00]: Sarah and Hagar,

[00:02:06] [SPEAKER_00]: ESA and Jacob, and yes,

[00:02:11] [SPEAKER_00]: God's children over and over.

[00:02:15] [SPEAKER_00]: Then and now.

[00:02:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Since God is omniscient, all knowing,

[00:02:22] [SPEAKER_00]: omnipotent, all powerful,

[00:02:25] [SPEAKER_00]: and omnipresent everywhere all at once,

[00:02:29] [SPEAKER_00]: he has the wisdom, knowledge, and aerial view to handle everything,

[00:02:35] [SPEAKER_00]: just fine without us hovering.

[00:02:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Whatever situation you are currently having difficulty waiting out,

[00:02:47] [SPEAKER_00]: trust God.

[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_00]: He will fight for his children.

[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Our meme for today says,

[00:02:55] [SPEAKER_00]: God's vision is perfect.

[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_00]: His timing impeccable,

[00:03:00] [SPEAKER_00]: his wisdom unfailing,

[00:03:04] [SPEAKER_00]: his love unmatched,

[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_00]: and his power limitless.

[00:03:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Romans 8 tells us that if God is for us,

[00:03:14] [SPEAKER_00]: who can be against us?

[00:03:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Just wait on him.

[00:03:20] [SPEAKER_00]: He's got you covered.

[00:03:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Is there something you keep giving to him,

[00:03:25] [SPEAKER_00]: only to take it back?
