4 Ways to Walk

[00:00:30] There are four ways one can walk through this life. Walk this way with a hat tip to Aerosmith

[00:00:48] and run DMC. Walk like an Egyptian with a nod to the bangles or the ones that concern us

[00:00:56] most for this episode, Walking by Faith or by Site. With recent events in our household I'm going to confess

[00:01:05] I've been walking by site. I had such a difficult day today, mired in my own fog. But God is faithful. His word shows us how

[00:01:18] walking by faith is such a better way. For we walk by faith, not by site, second Corinthians 5.7.

[00:01:29] Then Jesus said to Thomas, put your finger here and look at my hands. Reach out your hand

[00:01:35] and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe. Thomas replied, My Lord and my God,

[00:01:45] Jesus said to him, Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen

[00:01:53] yet have believed. John 20, 27 through 29. Come said Jesus, then Peter got down out of the boat,

[00:02:04] walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the strength of the wind,

[00:02:10] he was afraid and beginning to sink cried out, Lord save me. Immediately Jesus reached out his hand

[00:02:18] and took hold of Peter. You of little faith he said, Why did you doubt? Matthew 14, 29 through 31.

[00:02:30] Peter could have made good use of this passage. Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God

[00:02:39] who gives generously to all without finding fault and it will be given to him. But he must ask in faith

[00:02:47] without doubting because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

[00:02:55] That man should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. He is a double-minded man, unstable

[00:03:02] in all his ways. James 1, 5 through 8. For this very reason make every effort to add to your faith

[00:03:12] virtue and to virtue knowledge and to knowledge self-control and to self-control perseverance

[00:03:21] and to perseverance godliness and to godliness brotherly kindness and to brotherly kindness love

[00:03:29] for if you possess these qualities and continue to grow in them, they will keep you from being

[00:03:34] ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But whoever lacks these

[00:03:41] traits is near-sighted to the point of blindness having forgotten that he has been cleansed

[00:03:48] from his past sins. Second Peter 1, 5 through 9.

[00:03:54] Half faith in god Jesus said to them, truly I tell you that if anyone says to this mountain

[00:04:00] be lifted up and thrown into the sea and has no doubt in his heart but believes that it will happen

[00:04:07] it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you whatever you ask in prayer believe that you have

[00:04:15] received it and it will be yours. Mark 11, 22 through 24. Ask and it will be given to you

[00:04:24] seek and you will find knock and the door will be open to you. Matthew 7, 7. Our meme for today says
