[00:01:23] Feeling stuck in your singleness or wondering what God has planned for your life?
[00:01:28] Don't turn away.
[00:01:29] In this episode, we're diving into five powerful Bible verses that every single Christian woman should know.
[00:01:37] Verses that will inspire you to find joy, purpose, and peace right where you are.
[00:01:43] Let's discover how God's Word speaks directly to your heart in this journey.
[00:01:48] I'm going to tell you right now that this episode is very different from other episodes that offer advice to single Christian women.
[00:01:57] For starters, I'm 42 years old.
[00:02:00] By choice, I've spent my entire life as a single, child-free Christian woman simply due to my desire to not settle for less than God's best.
[00:02:11] Please note that I am not bashing those who are married or wish to be married.
[00:02:17] This episode is simply celebrating and embracing another route to living an extraordinary life that many don't talk about.
[00:02:27] Singlehood.
[00:02:28] God knows my main desire in life has and will forever be to live a joyful, victorious, extraordinary life.
[00:02:35] I know that living an extraordinary life is not contingent on my marital status, which is why I wrote my book,
[00:02:44] How to Live an Extraordinary Life with or Without Mr. Right,
[00:02:48] as a way to encourage women to stop living in anticipation as to whether marriage is in the cards for their life.
[00:02:56] So I said all that to say this.
[00:02:58] You're not talking to someone who cannot empathize with your situation.
[00:03:03] All right, let's go.
[00:03:04] Verse number one.
[00:03:07] Psalm chapter 139, verse 16.
[00:03:11] Your eyes saw my substance being yet unformed, and in your book they were all written.
[00:03:19] The days fashioned for me when as yet there were none of them.
[00:03:23] This verse inspires confidence and eliminates the need to compare our journey to someone else's.
[00:03:30] This verse reminds single women that God is in complete control and has a plan for our lives.
[00:03:36] I take comfort in the fact, especially during challenging times, that my struggles aren't a mystery to God.
[00:03:43] He knows what's best for me.
[00:03:46] Those challenges are stepping stones that will lead me to my ultimate destination.
[00:03:55] Proverbs chapter 3, verses 5 through 6.
[00:04:09] Delighting in the Lord leads to contentment that doesn't depend on external situations.
[00:04:15] Trusting God with our future brings peace and allows singles to walk confidently in his timing and purpose.
[00:04:24] We must prioritize a relationship with God because this is the only way to find and experience true joy.
[00:04:32] When we focus on cultivating a heart for God, we can experience a profound sense of purpose, peace, and satisfaction, even if our circumstances don't immediately change.
[00:04:45] When we pursue a life aligned with God's will, he will faithfully guide our steps and provide in his perfect timing.
[00:04:52] When women focus on God and delight in him, he often reshapes our desires to align with his.
[00:05:00] They may find new dreams, callings, or paths we hadn't previously considered, leading us to experience God's goodness in ways they didn't anticipate.
[00:05:10] And speaking from personal experience, once again, the thing that I can attest to with this verse is by me being single, I had no idea that he would send me down the path to doing voiceover work, to starting this podcast, which has placed me in a position to meet such amazing people and work on very, very interesting projects.
[00:05:34] And quite frankly, I can't wait to see what the future holds.
[00:05:38] So just had to, you know, include that.
[00:05:41] Verse number three, 1 Corinthians chapter seven, verses 32 through 35.
[00:05:48] I would like you to be free from concern.
[00:05:50] An unmarried man is concerned about the Lord's affairs, how he can please the Lord.
[00:05:55] But a married man is concerned about the affairs of this world, how he can please his wife and his interests are divided.
[00:06:04] An unmarried woman or virgin is concerned about the Lord's affairs.
[00:06:08] Her aim is to be devoted to the Lord in both body and spirit.
[00:06:12] But a married woman is concerned about the affairs of this world, how she can please her husband.
[00:06:18] I am saying this for your own good, not to restrict you, but that you may live in a right way in undivided devotion to the Lord.
[00:06:28] This passage does not state that marriage is wrong.
[00:06:32] But have you ever considered that if you desire to deepen and grow your relationship with God, you being single could be him answering your prayers?
[00:06:43] When single, it's much easier to serve God without being distracted.
[00:06:49] This verse serves as a reminder that single women don't need a relationship or marriage to live an extraordinary life filled with joy, peace and happiness.
[00:06:58] Your purpose is not defined by your marital status, but by your relationship with God.
[00:07:06] Verse number four, Psalm chapter 37, verse four.
[00:07:09] Delight yourself also in the Lord and he shall give you the desires of your heart.
[00:07:15] By delighting in God first, single Christian women are encouraged to trust that he knows their desires and has plans that are aligned with his purpose.
[00:07:25] This reassurance should bring joy to single women so they can trust their dreams, whether to be married or to remain as a satisfied single are not overlooked.
[00:07:37] God deeply cares for us and has our best interests at heart.
[00:07:42] Last but not least, verse number five, Isaiah chapter 54, verse five.
[00:07:48] For your maker is your husband.
[00:07:50] The Lord of hosts is his name and your redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.
[00:07:55] He is called the God of the whole earth.
[00:07:58] God is our ultimate source of love and security and fulfillment comes from God himself.
[00:08:03] He is the only one who can fill that void or loneliness that single Christian women often believe will only go away once they get married.
[00:08:14] Spoiler alert, this is simply not true.
[00:08:17] Even if you find Mr. Right, God's love and assurance will always surpass our earthly relationships.
[00:08:24] As you continue your journey, what I refer to in my book as Single Avenue, remember that God's word is your source of strength, joy and purpose.
[00:08:36] These verses are just the beginning.
[00:08:39] Keep seeking his guidance, embracing his promises and finding peace in his plan for your life.
[00:08:45] You are exactly where God wants you to be.
[00:08:55] Thanks so much for listening to this episode.

[00:09:13] See you in the next episode.
