Black History Month and Ted Williams 1619 The Journey of a People

February is Black History Month. We wanted to use our platform to celebrate this month, reflect on the history of black people in America, and promote our good friend Ted Williams the third and his production 1619: The Journey of a People, which is being performed at the Green House Theater in Chicago on February 27 and 28.
He’s a professor, actor, author, writer, dancer, singer, minister, husband, and father. He is Chicago’s own Ted Williams III, purveyor of 3rd Dimension Performance Group, author of “The Way Out: Christianity, Politics, and the Future of the African-American Community,” and the writer of the hit production “Torn.” We get to connect over phone to catch up and to learn a little about his upcoming production “1619: The Journey of a People.”
