This week our theme is Embracing Adversity and building your character. As Christians we know our identity is in Christ and we want our character to resemble Jesus. When Jesus faced adversity...He stood in truth...and spoke in love. His desire was for everyone to be with Him in the Kingdom of Heaven. Sports has been the avenue for us to grow in these areas. Point Guards, Quarter Backs, Team Captains...all face massive amounts of adversity throughout an entire game. The most successful players are the ones that are able to respond and embrace the adversity, which becomes contagious for the rest of the team. The first half of our show is mostly about what is going on in the NBA and NFL today and the second half (our favourite part) is how sports has made us better people in terms of our faith, character, and our everyday lives.
