[00:00:16] to have one of my dear sisters in Christ, Kendra Scott. And today we're going to be talking
[00:00:22] about what happens when your water is about to break. So I know that you sense that God
[00:00:28] is moving. There are so many things on the horizon and I just want you to be
[00:00:32] encouraged. So before we jump right in, I just want to welcome you, Kendra and thank
[00:00:38] you for joining. I believe this is your first time on the podcast. So tell us a little
[00:00:43] bit about yourself.
[00:00:45] Hi, thank you for having me. I'm excited to be here. Alright, so a little about me. I am
[00:00:51] a wife. I am a mother of six beautiful kids and I am in love with God and his kingdom.
[00:00:57] And I am happy to be here with you today. Hey, man. Awesome, awesome, awesome. And I'll
[00:01:02] have you share a little bit more about, um, I know that you're a serial entrepreneur
[00:01:06] and I'll have you share some of your links here at the end. But let's jump right into
[00:01:11] this topic of your water is about to break. And this was a recent message that you just
[00:01:17] shared and it blessed me so much. And I wanted us to talk about that. Talk about when
[00:01:23] you feel pressure, how you know that your water is about to break and the things that
[00:01:28] God is doing in the earth. So tell us a little bit about that.
[00:01:32] Yes, yes, yes, thank you. So when your water is about to break. So again, like I said,
[00:01:40] I'm a mother of six. I know a lot about your water is breaking. Okay? So when your water
[00:01:45] is breaking, how do you know your water is about to break? You know there's pressure coming
[00:01:48] behind it. Okay? And so I was sharing this word about your water is about to break because
[00:01:54] I was going through some trials and tribulations and I felt, I felt like in this picture room
[00:02:00] that my water was breaking. And when your water is breaking, it's a lot of pressure down
[00:02:05] there. So during my trials and tribulation, I was born, I was ill with a lot of pressure
[00:02:09] during that time. And so you know, when your water is breaking, that means the contraction
[00:02:13] will start soon. So when contractions come, that means what pain. So the pain is
[00:02:17] going to come right after the contractions. And so as I was going through life, as I
[00:02:22] was building with certain things, I felt like my water was breaking in this picture room.
[00:02:26] Do that, do that make sense to you? Absolutely, absolutely. And so I think that sometimes
[00:02:32] when we feel pressure and we feel things happening, one of the things that you mentioned
[00:02:37] was God, why me or why am I going through this? And you know, I think that's so good because
[00:02:42] it's easy to question why I feel this pain, why I feel this pressure. And sometimes
[00:02:48] God will cause us to feel that pain or feel that pressure so that we get to a place
[00:02:52] where we are no longer comfortable and we're willing to move and we're willing to shift.
[00:02:59] So
[00:03:00] Right. So doing that pressure as well because you think about guys put this through that
[00:03:06] pressure right? And like you say, he don't want to stay there. So you have to be willing
[00:03:10] to go through that pressure because when you go through that pressure, it's going to
[00:03:13] be something on the other side. Once the pressure stops. Okay. So while I was going through
[00:03:18] this stuff and going through, I'm just going through my water breaking, he gave me these
[00:03:24] people to read on in the Bible which was Joe David and Moses. And while I was reading
[00:03:30] about it, I was like, well, God, what do you want me to take from this? And it was like
[00:03:33] the water was breaking like they each felt that the water was breaking. And now when you
[00:03:37] hear the water is breaking, I want you to think it's just for females. It's just a metaphor.
[00:03:41] Okay. So the water in the term, the water is breaking. It's just a metaphor but it can
[00:03:46] pertain to male or female. So when he had me reading these stories in the Bible, I was like,
[00:03:51] so what do you want me to take from this? And so I read each one and I can literally see
[00:03:57] like the water was breaking in the spiritual realm. So as I read about David, as I read
[00:04:01] about Moses, as I read about Job, I was like, wow. And I was like, it kind of, I can relate
[00:04:06] to it more my time of going through that pressure.
[00:04:10] Awesome. And Moses is definitely one of my favorite people in the Bible for many reasons.
[00:04:17] I think he's a fan favorite if you want to say that. Most people's favorite. But tell
[00:04:22] us which part of his life really stood out to you or really ministered to you? I know
[00:04:27] he went through a lot, but is there any particular timeframe that you wanted to reference
[00:04:34] that really stood out to our topic of the Lord applying pressure?
[00:04:39] His whole story. The whole story was just pressure from him having to go. First of all,
[00:04:47] Moses didn't feel like he was adequate to go and deliver and speak to the people. So
[00:04:52] he just felt pressure and he had sky since somebody else but then he allowed him to go
[00:04:57] and be his not peaceful. He went there, you know, Pharaoh's heart was hard and it's so,
[00:05:02] it went through all this stuff trying to get the people. But like the whole thing resonated
[00:05:06] with me. And when he finally got on, so you getting through, you getting through, you
[00:05:10] going through the pressure. When he finally got on, what Pharaoh finally let him go after
[00:05:15] like 10 plays, he finally got through and then he was in a wilderness before. So you just
[00:05:22] say, just imagine you're going through this pressure, you're going through this walk
[00:05:25] and like, okay, each step, you feel like you're getting out of ending this more. It's more
[00:05:29] there's something. It's child intibrillations coming. So the pressure was getting heavy
[00:05:33] and heavy. I just felt like Moses just had a whole bunch of pressure on him. And then
[00:05:37] he hadn't hit all the people and then people were being hardheaded and it went a little
[00:05:41] less than, and then he started having his own doubts. Well, he was already having doubts
[00:05:44] and so he was just like, God, why? It was always wild or he always was questioning. He
[00:05:49] went through all that hard work to get them to the promised land and he didn't even get
[00:05:53] to see the promise land because of his unbelief and his rebelliousness. So I feel like
[00:05:58] his whole story was just about just being under pressure. Yeah, absolutely because he
[00:06:04] was definitely under pressure and I think too, you know, there's a part where he struck
[00:06:09] the rock twice. And so that was part of his punishment not going into the promise. But
[00:06:13] I think when God, when God used Moses, he especially the time where Pharaoh would not
[00:06:20] let the people go. Pharaoh was hardened like you said in his heart but at the same time
[00:06:27] God was preparing them and God was doing something supernatural to let the people go, you
[00:06:33] know, in the midst of it all. It really makes me think about this part in Exodus chapter
[00:06:38] 5 and this just always stands out to me because sometimes, you know, we hear like you're
[00:06:44] on the verge of your breakthrough or it's just around the corner or you have one more
[00:06:49] push, right? But you know, things get really hard right before then. And so I think
[00:06:55] about this even with the children of Israel because in Exodus chapter 5 verse 1 it says
[00:07:00] afterward Moses and Aaron went into in told Pharaoh, thus says the Lord God of Israel let
[00:07:05] my people go that they may hold a feast to me in the wilderness. And Pharaoh said who
[00:07:11] is the Lord that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I do not know the Lord nor
[00:07:16] what I let Israel go. So they said the God of the Hebrews has met with us. Please let us
[00:07:21] go three days journey into the desert and sacrifice to the Lord our God. Let's he fall upon
[00:07:27] us with pestilence or with the sword. Then the king of Egypt said to them Moses and
[00:07:32] Aaron, why do you take the people from their work? Get back to your labor. And Pharaoh said
[00:07:38] look the people of the land are many now and you make them rest from their labor. So
[00:07:43] the same day Pharaoh commanded the task masters of the people and their officers saying you
[00:07:49] shall no longer give the people straw to make brick as before. Let them go and gather
[00:07:55] straw for themselves. So Pharaoh literally made things twice as hard just because he was
[00:08:02] upset that they were asking about leaving. And then verse 8 says and you shall lay on
[00:08:07] them the quota of bricks which they made before you shall not reduce it for they are idle.
[00:08:14] Therefore they cry out saying let us go and sacrifice to our God. Let more work be
[00:08:19] later on the men that they may labor in it and let them not regard false words. And this
[00:08:25] to me this passage always speaks to what you were saying since about when your word is
[00:08:31] about to break because sometimes you feel that pressure, you feel that resistance. And
[00:08:36] even with the children of Israel, even though they were about to be delivered and they
[00:08:40] would no longer have to deal with Pharaoh and Egypt, things got twice as hard just because
[00:08:47] they were so close to the breakthrough. They had more pressure, they had more work. And
[00:08:52] now Pharaoh was saying do not even give them the straw like they have to go collect their
[00:08:57] own straw and still produce the same amount of work that they did as before. So that
[00:09:03] was just an intense aggressive form of just labor and work that they had to do but they
[00:09:09] were so very close to their breakthrough. So I wanted to ask you also what gets you into
[00:09:16] the mindset of pressing through the pressure like how do you focus your mind to keep going
[00:09:23] and to keep pressing even though it's hard.
[00:09:27] I just focus on God's promise, like his promise to me. So during this time of pressure,
[00:09:31] during this time of pain, I just remember things that God promised. So although I may not
[00:09:36] see it in the natural, I know it's coming and I know because my father spoke and God's
[00:09:40] words never go void. So I always just pull on that even during my time of when the pressure
[00:09:45] is hard, when the pressure is on me. So during this time, I just go into my word, I read
[00:09:50] more, I pray, pray a sense of reach, pray not stop and just spend time with God and allow
[00:09:57] him to walk me through this because with him, I can get, I know I can get through the
[00:10:02] pressure and on the other end, I know after the pressure is gone, that it's going to be
[00:10:07] something that isn't on the other side. So that's how I get through through prayer
[00:10:11] and reading my word, spending my time with my father. And remember all the things that
[00:10:16] he said, that kind of gives me hope during that time because I know and I also remember
[00:10:21] that sometimes life happens and it's just a season and I can't just, it's not going
[00:10:26] to be forever. So when I have that that thought in my mind, then I continue to just push
[00:10:31] into pressure, like the pressure is there. But I know it's just a temporary feeling because
[00:10:36] I know something amazing is going to be on the other side. So good, because I think there's
[00:10:41] times where you feel like you're going to break, like that's the thing about the pressure,
[00:10:47] you feel like you're going to break. And so I love what you said about it's just a season
[00:10:51] because the enemy will have you thinking that this is your life, this is the rest of your
[00:10:55] life. But in our reality, it's just a season. And so I love even two with the children
[00:11:00] of Israel, they get to a place where the scripture says the enemies that you see today,
[00:11:07] you'll see no more. And so God has the ability to deliver us and fully cause that breakthrough
[00:11:14] to happen even when it seems like so far away, right? So, right, right. You have to say
[00:11:21] focus because like you said, it's the breakthrough. That's your water is breaking. And once I
[00:11:26] always, I love this because when your water breaks, what happened when you have the baby?
[00:11:30] When you have the baby and your water breaks, what's that after you want to break the
[00:11:33] contractions come right? Your contractions come to pain. That's when you're in the most
[00:11:37] pain. So as you're going through this, you're in the most pain which you know that you are
[00:11:41] about to meet your beautiful baby. So all that pressure, all that pain you will do is something
[00:11:46] that's going to be beautiful on the other end, you're about to burst something beautiful.
[00:11:50] So I always have to keep that in mind. So for those that's going through something right now,
[00:11:54] if you're going through that pressure, you feel like you're going to break. Don't break,
[00:11:58] don't get up doing this time because while you are at why the pressure is on,
[00:12:02] there's something happening on the other end. And so just keep that in mind.
[00:12:07] Absolutely. I love that. That's so good to me. And I want to share this verse because
[00:12:12] this verse is really powerful and everything that you just said. And so let me just
[00:12:18] share this because it's so good. I'm getting excited. But Isaiah 66 verse nine,
[00:12:23] it says, shall I bring to the time of birth and not cause delivery says the Lord?
[00:12:29] Shall I who calls delivery shut up the womb says your God.
[00:12:34] And so right. And so God will not bring you so close only to stop there.
[00:12:40] Like God is going to finish what he starts. And a lot of times when we're under pressure,
[00:12:45] we don't know what we're carrying. We don't know what's on the inside of us.
[00:12:48] We don't know that God is causing that baby to come forth.
[00:12:52] We don't know that when God is causing us, allowing us to come up out of our comfort zone,
[00:12:58] that there's something that he wants to birth on the inside of us.
[00:13:02] And we also do not know how close we are to the breakthrough.
[00:13:07] And one of the things that I love about your recent birth story is that by the time
[00:13:13] you got to the hospital, you were already about what seven centimeters, right?
[00:13:17] And so sometimes we don't even think like how close we are to the actual breakthrough.
[00:13:25] And we don't really know. I didn't even realize that I didn't know you didn't know.
[00:13:28] So I didn't know. I thought on the end, that's great. That is great.
[00:13:32] So you bring it up because I didn't know how close I was.
[00:13:35] I didn't know. I thought I had normally if I go into labor when I go to the high school
[00:13:40] for my previous, it's I got a while. I'm going to be there.
[00:13:43] But no, I've been in the pressure. I was at home and pay.
[00:13:46] The pressure was home was on me.
[00:13:48] So I didn't know I didn't know how close.
[00:13:50] So I went to the doctor and they said it was seven.
[00:13:53] I was seven centimeters. I was like, oh, but right there, I'm right there at the end.
[00:13:57] All the pain that I was born through is right there at the end.
[00:13:59] So my brain, you don't know about to experience my breakthrough.
[00:14:01] I'm brought to experience my breakthrough and you don't know.
[00:14:03] So if you stop prematurely, you won't get to the end of the family.
[00:14:07] And you won't see what God has for you.
[00:14:09] So that's when you got to keep going. You have to keep going.
[00:14:13] Right. That is so good because I think sometimes we just don't have the ability
[00:14:18] to see how close we are.
[00:14:21] And I think that if we knew how close we were, we would not stop pushing.
[00:14:26] We would still be pushing and pressing through.
[00:14:29] And so just some practical things that help too with that is really making sure
[00:14:35] that you are holding on to your faith, that you are not allowing doubt.
[00:14:39] You're not allowing unbelief to come in one of my favorite verses two is in Psalm 27.
[00:14:45] I believe and David says I would have lost heart unless I had believed.
[00:14:50] And so when you feel that pressure, when you feel that pain,
[00:14:53] you have to believe that God is who he says he is and that God is going to bring to full term
[00:14:59] everything that he's spoken, everything that he's promised
[00:15:02] and that even though you feel the pressure and the pain,
[00:15:05] it's not necessarily a punishment.
[00:15:07] It's not necessarily that, you know, the enemy is defeating you.
[00:15:12] Sometimes you really are just in that birthing process
[00:15:15] and you have to have that mindset and know that God is with you
[00:15:19] and know that something beautiful is coming out of this.
[00:15:22] And one thing too that you mentioned since was about Job
[00:15:26] and I just, you know, there's so much we could say about him.
[00:15:29] But I love his mindset because he says something.
[00:15:33] He says when I go through the fire, I'm going to come out as pure gold.
[00:15:39] Yes, yes, yes, he did.
[00:15:42] Yes, he did.
[00:15:43] And so he had that mindset of yeah, I'm having contractions, but there's a baby coming through.
[00:15:48] There's going to be beauty at the end of this story.
[00:15:51] You know, there's going to be joy and we really and truly have to believe that God
[00:15:55] gives us beauty for ashes and that nothing that we go through in life is in vain
[00:16:01] because all things work together for the good of those that love the Lord,
[00:16:05] those that are called according to his purpose.
[00:16:08] And we get to a place especially in 2024 where we can no longer just quote the word.
[00:16:14] Like we have to believe the word with our whole heart, with our soul,
[00:16:18] with our whole mind, with our whole strength.
[00:16:20] We have to believe that we know and we believe that God didn't bring us this far
[00:16:25] to only bring us this far and that God is always going to finish what he started.
[00:16:31] That he started.
[00:16:32] Yes, and I agree and that's that's what it was.
[00:16:35] I do on my trials and tribulations.
[00:16:38] I just stayed in the word and a scripture that I love there was two which was looking for
[00:16:44] lipping is but they are just read.
[00:16:46] Like you said, we have to believe it.
[00:16:48] I read it until I believe it like for with God nothing is impossible.
[00:16:52] That's the one God is seven.
[00:16:54] I just kept saying that each day no matter what I'm going through,
[00:16:57] I can do this because I'm seeking God.
[00:16:59] I'm spending time with God.
[00:17:01] He has my bed with same thing with Philippians.
[00:17:03] I can do all these do Christ who strength is me.
[00:17:06] So my strength come coming from him each day.
[00:17:09] I will not break.
[00:17:10] I kept just listening and listening, meditating to these things.
[00:17:14] I went to sleep playing some of Luke.
[00:17:17] I went to sleep playing some scriptures.
[00:17:19] I just went to sleep.
[00:17:20] I woke up.
[00:17:21] I was just in this time of pain.
[00:17:23] I made sure I just stayed with my father and he got he got me through it.
[00:17:28] And I was like God and now I'm seeing the fruit of it.
[00:17:32] You know what I'm saying?
[00:17:32] I'm seeing whatever the pain that I was going through.
[00:17:34] I'm seeing the fruit of it.
[00:17:35] And I'm like, God, nobody but you nobody but you listening to him and just letting
[00:17:41] him walk me through it.
[00:17:42] And if I were to do anything out of obedience,
[00:17:44] it could have been a different story, but I stayed with him.
[00:17:46] So when you're in your pain,
[00:17:49] when you feel like you're about to break just seek God and pray.
[00:17:52] I promise you he will pull you through it.
[00:17:54] He will get you through it.
[00:17:56] Amen.
[00:17:57] Amen.
[00:17:58] Amen.
[00:17:59] So we're going to just take some time to pray and I'm going to ask you
[00:18:04] if you would like to just kind of close this out and pray and pray for those
[00:18:08] that may feel like they feel like they are on the verge of breaking.
[00:18:13] But they also know in the spirit that they're on the verge of their breakthrough.
[00:18:19] So if you can just pray, just pray briefly for those that are listening that are in that space.
[00:18:26] Yes, yes, yes.
[00:18:27] They're Heavenly Father God.
[00:18:28] First of all, we just say thank you Lord Heavenly Father God and I just want to pray
[00:18:32] with you Father God for your sons and daughters.
[00:18:34] Lord Heavenly Father God,
[00:18:35] who will listen to this podcast?
[00:18:37] Anybody that's dealing with pain and pressure going on his time.
[00:18:41] Lord Heavenly Father God, first that you give them peace that you give them strength
[00:18:45] through this time will help me father God.
[00:18:46] That they would hear and seek.
[00:18:48] Lord Heavenly Father God we just pray that everything that they are dealing with will help
[00:18:52] him father God.
[00:18:53] That too, that too was show them that you will need them will help me father God.
[00:18:58] That you will heal them doing this time will help me father God that they will pull
[00:19:02] on you Lord Heavenly Father God, that they will know with you
[00:19:06] they can do all things or have me father God and we just say thank you God.
[00:19:10] Thank you for who you are Lord, Heavenly Father God.
[00:19:12] Thank you for everything that you are going to do
[00:19:14] in their lives Lord, Heavenly Father God.
[00:19:16] And we just pray for the pressure to be relieved
[00:19:20] with Heavenly Father God in the name of Jesus God
[00:19:23] that your people know that you are with them.
[00:19:26] They will not break Lord, Heavenly Father God.
[00:19:28] And we just speak life, life God.
[00:19:31] Peace over their hearts, over their minds
[00:19:33] when there's time Lord, Heavenly Father God
[00:19:34] that they know that you are with them God.
[00:19:37] And we just say thank you God
[00:19:38] because the breakthrough is here.
[00:19:40] The breakthrough is here Lord, Heavenly Father God.
[00:19:42] So we just pull on you.
[00:19:44] Pull on you right down this time
[00:19:45] and need Lord, Heavenly Father God
[00:19:47] that you are with them God.
[00:19:49] And we just say thank you
[00:19:50] because we know it's already done.
[00:19:52] Even though we may not see it in the natural realm
[00:19:54] that we know that you are doing the thing
[00:19:56] Lord, Heavenly Father God.
[00:19:57] So I pray for increased faith and increased hope
[00:20:00] for those who are feeling heavy hearted right now
[00:20:02] Lord, Heavenly Father God.
[00:20:03] We pray that you speak to their hearts,
[00:20:05] speak to their minds Lord,
[00:20:07] everything that the enemy try to send their way God.
[00:20:09] We find it right now in the name of Jesus God.
[00:20:11] And we just pray for a wall of protection
[00:20:13] around them Lord, Heavenly Father God.
[00:20:15] The oppressions here, the oppressions here
[00:20:17] but you were not great in the name of Jesus.
[00:20:20] And so we just thank you God for the newness,
[00:20:23] the new beginning God as they go through this pressure.
[00:20:25] The new beginning says on the other end
[00:20:27] we say thank you God.
[00:20:29] We say thank you God.
[00:20:31] And in your name, Heavenly Father God, we pray.
[00:20:34] Amen.
[00:20:35] Amen, amen, amen.
[00:20:37] Thank you Jesus.
