[00:00:00] You are now tuned in to the Prayer Is Breathing podcast. My name is Latoya and I want to thank you for listening and for subscribing.

[00:00:08] Ladies, every Monday night at 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, I host a Bible study called The Equipping via Zoom.

[00:00:16] So it is completely virtual at 8 p.m. every Monday night Eastern Standard Time.

[00:00:27] And it'll pop right up with the link for you to register and then you'll get all the notifications to connect to the Bible study.

[00:00:35] So be sure to join us.

[00:00:37] Alright, today's topic is In Every Season because God is with us in every season.

[00:00:44] And so even as we see seasons change, it's September now, even as the leaves in the fall and all these different things,

[00:00:53] understand that God does not change, that He's with us summer, winter, spring, fall. He is in every season.

[00:01:01] And I love that about the Lord because he promised that He will never leave us nor forsake us.

[00:01:07] And so whether you're on the mountaintop or whether you're in the valley, I just want you to understand that God is with you in every season.

[00:01:17] So we're going to jump right into a few passages here.

[00:01:20] And the first one is Psalm 113 verse 3 and it reads from the rising of the sun to its going down.

[00:01:29] The Lord's name is to be praised.

[00:01:31] Hallelujah. I just want to read that again. It's so good.

[00:01:33] From the rising of the sun to its going down, the Lord's name is to be praised.

[00:01:40] So from the sunrise to the sunset, God is worthy to be praised.

[00:01:45] Isaiah 45 verse 6 says that they may know from the rising of the sun to its setting that there is none beside me.

[00:01:53] I am the Lord and there is no other.

[00:01:56] Okay? And so when we have this understanding of who God is, it doesn't matter what season we are in,

[00:02:03] we understand that God is able to bring us through.

[00:02:06] God is able to walk with us in that season.

[00:02:10] And if you live a little bit of life, you understand that not everybody can walk with you in every season, right?

[00:02:17] People change, things change, things happen, but God is consistent and he's faithful and he will be with us in every season.

[00:02:25] So we simply have to put our trust in him.

[00:02:29] And we see this even in Hebrews where the Lord says, I will never leave you nor forsake you.

[00:02:35] And so we have this promise from God that he will be with us.

[00:02:40] And so I just want to look at Isaiah chapter 43.

[00:02:45] This is also a very powerful chapter because sometimes we go through things in life.

[00:02:50] And when we go through certain things, it may feel like God is not present,

[00:02:53] but we have to live not based on our feelings, but based on our faith.

[00:02:59] And so faith has to always override how we feel because as believers, we walk by faith and not by sight.

[00:03:07] And so sometimes we have to put our feelings in check and stand on the word of the Lord.

[00:03:12] And so you have to be encouraged and know that God is with you.

[00:03:16] So Isaiah 43 verse one,

[00:03:18] but now the says the Lord who created you, oh Jacob and he who formed you, oh Israel fear not for I have redeemed you.

[00:03:27] I have called you by your name.

[00:03:30] You are mine.

[00:03:31] Verse two,

[00:03:32] when you pass through the waters, I will be with you and through the rivers they shall not overflow you.

[00:03:38] When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned nor shall the flame scorch you.

[00:03:44] And listen, I love this part because it says when you pass through the waters and it says when you walk through the fire.

[00:03:52] And so wherever you are understand that you're passing through your walking through it.

[00:03:56] And I know that for me in the toughest times of my life, the enemy would try to lie and say, oh, this is going to be forever.

[00:04:03] But guess what?

[00:04:04] It's only for a season.

[00:04:06] Okay.

[00:04:07] So weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

[00:04:11] So you have to know that as a believer, all things work together for your good.

[00:04:16] For those that love the Lord, for those that are called according to his purpose.

[00:04:21] And if God has spoken a word to you, he's going to fulfill that which he has promised.

[00:04:26] And you have to have what the older saints will call blessed assurance that Jesus is yours.

[00:04:33] Blessed assurance that Jesus does not change, but blessed assurance Jesus is mine.

[00:04:39] Oh, what a fortace of glory divine.

[00:04:43] And so glory be unto God that we serve a God who is faithful.

[00:04:47] We serve a God who is consistent.

[00:04:49] We serve a God who sees every detail in every area of our life and we can rest in that because he is the God who sees Elroy, right?

[00:05:00] He is the Lord who sees.

[00:05:02] And so because of that, when we're at a very, very high place where everything is going great in our lives on the mountain top, God is there.

[00:05:12] He's there in seasons of fruitfulness.

[00:05:15] He's there in seasons of prosperity and blessing.

[00:05:17] And then even in the valley, God is there in the valley as well.

[00:05:22] And so sometimes in life there's highs, there's lows, but even in that we always have the victory in Christ Jesus.

[00:05:30] And so whether we feel victorious or not, we always have the victory.

[00:05:36] Now I also want to take a look at Psalm 23.

[00:05:42] And I know we often have this scripture in different connotations, you know, mainly gatherings or sometimes even funerals.

[00:05:50] But I want you to just really hear this passage because it's so good and it talks about just the seasons and walking through.

[00:05:56] So it says, the Lord is my shepherd.

[00:05:59] I shall not want.

[00:06:00] He makes me to lie down in green pastures.

[00:06:03] He leads me besides the still waters.

[00:06:06] He restores my soul.

[00:06:08] He leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

[00:06:12] And remember we talked about seasons and mountains and valleys.

[00:06:16] And it says in verse four,

[00:06:18] Yay, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.

[00:06:23] Why?

[00:06:24] He says, for you are with me.

[00:06:26] Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

[00:06:29] You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.

[00:06:33] You anoint my head with oil.

[00:06:34] My cup runs over.

[00:06:36] Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.

[00:06:41] And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

[00:06:46] And so when you think about life as a journey, when you think about walking through the valley,

[00:06:51] when you think about walking through the green pastures,

[00:06:56] God will lead you beside the still waters.

[00:06:59] And so even certain times in your life where things may happen,

[00:07:03] the peace of God is still there.

[00:07:05] The presence of God is still there.

[00:07:08] So I love in this verse where it says,

[00:07:10] He leads me besides the still waters.

[00:07:13] He restores my soul.

[00:07:16] And so no matter where you are, allow God to restore your soul.

[00:07:20] The Lord said that in this life, things will not always be perfect.

[00:07:26] Things will not always be easy.

[00:07:28] And even in the word Jesus goes so much further to tell us,

[00:07:32] in the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer.

[00:07:36] I have overcome the world.

[00:07:38] And so we overcome because Christ overcame.

[00:07:42] And we know that life is not always a bed of roses.

[00:07:45] But as long as the Lord is on our side,

[00:07:49] as long as God is with us, everything will be well.

[00:07:55] And that's John 16 verse 33.

[00:07:58] These things I have spoken to you that in me you may have peace.

[00:08:03] In the world you will have tribulation,

[00:08:06] but be of good cheer.

[00:08:08] I have overcome the world.

[00:08:10] And so we have peace in Christ regardless of our circumstances

[00:08:14] or situations.

[00:08:16] But I want you just to see the Lord as someone who is with you

[00:08:21] in every season, that he doesn't change.

[00:08:23] He doesn't leave.

[00:08:24] He doesn't just say, okay, I'll come back and see you next fall.

[00:08:28] No God is there through it all.

[00:08:30] He's Alpha and Omega.

[00:08:32] So he's the beginning.

[00:08:33] He's the end.

[00:08:34] But he's also everywhere in between.

[00:08:36] And so this is when we talk about walking with the Lord

[00:08:40] and just really being in communion with the Lord

[00:08:43] through Jesus Christ.

[00:08:45] And so I just want this to encourage you.

[00:08:47] Maybe you're passing through the waters

[00:08:49] or you're walking through the valley,

[00:08:51] but just know you're walking through

[00:08:53] and you are not going to stay there

[00:08:55] and that even in that God is with you,

[00:08:58] even when you can't see his hand,

[00:09:00] even when you can't trace him,

[00:09:02] my late apostle would say, trust God

[00:09:04] even when you can't trace him.

[00:09:06] And so even in that,

[00:09:08] you have to understand that the Lord is with you

[00:09:11] according to the Bible,

[00:09:13] according to the word of God,

[00:09:15] that the Lord is with us.

[00:09:18] And so we can rejoice in that.

[00:09:20] There's a song that recently came to my heart

[00:09:23] and I believe it's called Desert Song by Hillsong maybe,

[00:09:26] I'm not sure.

[00:09:27] But there's one or two lines in that song

[00:09:29] and it says,

[00:09:30] In all of my life,

[00:09:31] in every season,

[00:09:33] you are still God.

[00:09:34] I have a reason to worship.

[00:09:36] I have a reason to praise.

[00:09:38] And so when you think about the seasons of life,

[00:09:41] you look back on your life and you think about

[00:09:43] the different seasons,

[00:09:45] it's like in all of my life,

[00:09:47] in every season,

[00:09:49] you are still God.

[00:09:51] And I have a reason to worship.

[00:09:54] And so praise be unto the Lord.

[00:09:57] And so I just want to say a prayer for you

[00:09:59] that God will strengthen you,

[00:10:01] that you would have this reminder,

[00:10:02] that you would have this peace

[00:10:04] that surpasses all understanding

[00:10:06] that the Lord will just guard your heart

[00:10:08] in your mind and that you will just

[00:10:11] walk fully embracing him

[00:10:13] and his will and his plan

[00:10:15] for your life.

[00:10:16] So God, I just thank you for every person

[00:10:18] listening to this podcast.

[00:10:20] I thank you Lord that you are the same

[00:10:22] yesterday, today and forever

[00:10:24] that nothing is too hard for you

[00:10:27] and that you promise that you would

[00:10:29] be with us, that you will never leave us,

[00:10:31] you will never forsake us,

[00:10:32] but you would be with us in the valley.

[00:10:34] Even David talks about his rising up

[00:10:37] and his sitting down.

[00:10:38] And Lord, you are with us in every

[00:10:40] single thing, in every detail

[00:10:43] of our life. And Lord, we thank

[00:10:44] you for being God in every

[00:10:46] season. We thank you for being Lord

[00:10:48] in every season. We thank you

[00:10:50] for being healer and friend

[00:10:52] in every season, God.

[00:10:54] And I pray that you will be glorified

[00:10:56] and exalted in the mighty name

[00:10:59] of Jesus, that your name

[00:11:00] would be praised, oh God, and that

[00:11:02] even in the darkest season,

[00:11:04] we will find a reason

[00:11:06] to give you praise, God.

[00:11:08] We will command our soul to bless the

[00:11:10] Lord with all our might, with all

[00:11:12] our strength because you are worthy,

[00:11:14] God, and we love you and we

[00:11:16] glorify you in Jesus mighty name.

[00:11:18] We pray amen, amen, amen.

[00:11:21] If you are

[00:11:22] not born again, I want to

[00:11:24] encourage you to give your life to Jesus Christ.

[00:11:27] Jesus died on the cross

[00:11:28] for our sins, all the things that

[00:11:30] we've done, the guilt, the shame,

[00:11:32] all those things were nailed to the cross

[00:11:34] through a relationship with

[00:11:36] Jesus Christ. And so I want to encourage

[00:11:38] you to invite him into your heart.

[00:11:40] He came as God in the flesh

[00:11:42] and he died on the cross for our sins

[00:11:44] and in three days he rose

[00:11:46] again, hallelujah, and he seated

[00:11:48] at the right hand of God. And so

[00:11:50] the Bible says that all have sinned and fall short

[00:11:52] of the glory of God, but

[00:11:54] we can be reconciled to God

[00:11:56] through Jesus Christ. And so

[00:11:58] everything that you're looking for, you're searching

[00:12:00] for, you will only find that

[00:12:02] peace in the Lord. And so

[00:12:04] I pray that you would just pray and

[00:12:06] invite Jesus into your heart

[00:12:08] and allow him to wash you

[00:12:10] and cleanse you from every part of

[00:12:12] your past. And when you

[00:12:14] repent, your sins are forgiven

[00:12:16] and the Bible says that the Lord

[00:12:18] makes all things new

[00:12:20] so you are new in Christ

[00:12:22] and so amen, hallelujah.

[00:12:25] I want to thank you so much

[00:12:26] for listening to today's episode.

[00:12:28] Also, I own a Christian

[00:12:52] life to the glory of his name

[00:12:54] and for his kingdom. Amen. God bless you.
