[00:00:00] What's up, you guys? We are back with another episode of The Man Up Club Presents. Today, I am your host, Selina Lina, aka Sis of Sis and Low Bro, but I am also the Youth and Program Director of The Man Up Club.

[00:00:12] We are located in the Twin Cities. We're a nonprofit organization for young black males between the ages of 13 and 24. And today we're having a very interesting topic about God, okay?

[00:00:22] We have a lot of different perspectives and things that we can explore about God, just in general, you know?

[00:00:30] So I have two guests here. I just want them to say hello. They are definitely affiliated with The Man Up Club very, very heavily.

[00:00:38] Chrome is a Man Up Club member and DJ, his mentor is Mr. Dean, okay? He is the founder and executive director of The Man Up Club. Y'all say what's up?

[00:00:46] What's the word? What's the word? It's your boy, DJ. I'm back again. I think they used to me, man. Are they used to me, man?

[00:00:54] Yes.

[00:00:55] Going on, it's Chrome, man. Back on the scene. Second time.

[00:00:59] Yep. Just say a little snippet about yourself real quick. Age, your belief, your spiritual belief and what you claim as far as like religion.

[00:01:08] I'm 24. For sure, I identify as a Christian. I'm just the coolest kid on your block, the coolest kid you know.

[00:01:14] Okay. Period.

[00:01:16] I don't know if I can follow that. Okay.

[00:01:18] I'm 25. I actually also run a nonprofit on the other side of the water, the St. Paul called World Youth Connect.

[00:01:26] That's how I got connected with Mr. Dean, working with young people in the community, just working on leadership skills, workforce development, stuff like that.

[00:01:35] And then near peer mentorship, so just helping each other through whatever. So as far as my faith, I'm new-ish to the kingdom, if that makes sense.

[00:01:46] So what kingdom? What kingdom?

[00:01:47] The kingdom of God. The kingdom of God.

[00:01:50] Right.

[00:01:52] There's lots of kingdoms of gods.

[00:01:55] Yeah.

[00:01:56] So you said are you a Christian?

[00:01:56] No, no, no.

[00:01:57] So I'm a Christian.

[00:01:58] I'm a Christian for sure, yeah.

[00:02:00] All right.

[00:02:00] Okay.

[00:02:01] And me personally, I am also a Christian.

[00:02:04] We just happen to be Christians.

[00:02:05] Christians.

[00:02:05] So, but here's the thing, guys.

[00:02:08] Even when it comes to discussions about God, being Christians, you can still come from different perspectives and think different things, believe it or not.

[00:02:17] Because we do share the commonality of being human.

[00:02:22] Okay.

[00:02:23] So let's get into it.

[00:02:25] First things first.

[00:02:28] How do y'all feel about people using the word universe instead of God?

[00:02:35] Because there's a lot of people who, you know, they, especially in our generation today, our culture, so accepting, you know, of everything.

[00:02:43] And so what I notice is that people be like, you know, they'll say, whatever the universe like is telling me right now, like this bad thing happened to me.

[00:02:53] So I know I'm not supposed to mess with this dude.

[00:02:55] And like, so that just means like the universe is pushing me towards being single, you know, or like they'll just, they'll talk about the universe, the universe, the universe.

[00:03:04] I have my own thoughts about that.

[00:03:06] But first I want to get y'all's take.

[00:03:07] What y'all think about that?

[00:03:09] You want to take that off?

[00:03:11] Nah, honestly, I don't hear it as much as I used to.

[00:03:17] I don't know.

[00:03:18] I might not be listening for it as much neither.

[00:03:21] Okay.

[00:03:21] But I don't hear it as much as I used to.

[00:03:23] Noun is more like a spiritual thing.

[00:03:27] Like they, I don't, I don't not the spiritual journeys.

[00:03:32] I, I, the people who do like the crystals and stuff like that.

[00:03:37] Right.

[00:03:37] I just don't all the way understand it.

[00:03:39] Like I believe in energy too.

[00:03:41] I do.

[00:03:42] But at the same time, I don't see how the universe can command you to do something.

[00:03:47] If that makes sense.

[00:03:49] Yeah.

[00:03:50] I know a lot of people use universe.

[00:03:52] I think they just use that just cause they don't want to say God.

[00:03:56] They don't like, or it's Jesus or whatever.

[00:03:58] They don't want to be connected to any of that.

[00:04:00] So it's just universes, whatever, you know what I'm saying?

[00:04:02] It's the air, birds, the bees, you know, whatever.

[00:04:05] I don't know.

[00:04:06] I don't know.

[00:04:06] I don't really have like, I'm not mad at it.

[00:04:08] I mean, if that's what you want to say.

[00:04:10] I mean, to me, you're really just saying Satan.

[00:04:12] So.

[00:04:13] Yeah.

[00:04:14] So for me, like when people say it, my first thought is like, okay, the universe is what God created.

[00:04:24] That's my personal perspective and belief is when you use the term universe, it's the thing that God created.

[00:04:31] The universe to me is this world, the earth, everything, space, everything beyond it, life, everything that exists.

[00:04:40] Right.

[00:04:42] And God is the one who created that.

[00:04:44] So God is the umbrella above the universe.

[00:04:47] So to be honest, I be thinking it's silly when people say like the universe pulled me to do this.

[00:04:52] It's like, okay, but who created the universe though?

[00:04:54] I mean, but they, they just using it as an excuse.

[00:04:58] I mean, like if I didn't make it to the show today and texted you like the universe just was against me.

[00:05:05] I don't think I was meant to be there.

[00:05:08] It's just an excuse.

[00:05:09] That's one of those things that I, I, that's why I don't hear it as much no more.

[00:05:13] It's not, it's not a, a real excuse.

[00:05:17] You know, it's not something, but talk about manifestation.

[00:05:21] People going to do and believe what they believe and come up with.

[00:05:25] DJ, you're saying a lot of things.

[00:05:27] So for one, you're saying people be using it as an excuse.

[00:05:30] So here's the other thing.

[00:05:32] There's people that think that you can still use God's name as an excuse.

[00:05:37] Like for example, the example you just gave.

[00:05:38] Like if, you know, let's just say you called Uber here two times and it, and both of the drivers canceled on you.

[00:05:47] And then it's like, you know, some people would be like, oh, if that was me, it's just like, well, that means God, you know, God didn't want me to do this podcast for some reason.

[00:05:55] Or like, for example, my dad, you know, he was going out, he was, he was trying to make it to a flight. He was running late and trying to make it, you know, speed in to get to the airport.

[00:06:08] Literally, he could have made it in five minutes, but as soon as he ran up to the boarding gate door, the door closed.

[00:06:14] And then like the thought that went through his head was, well, maybe I wasn't supposed to get on that flight for a safety reason.

[00:06:20] I mean, you know, thank God that nothing happened to the people who did make that flight.

[00:06:24] But people, we do tend to think like that.

[00:06:26] Like if, oh, these things don't happen, it's God.

[00:06:29] So whether it's the universe or God, people can also see people using God's name, quote unquote, as an excuse.

[00:06:36] And I, I just feel like God gave people free will to do whatever they want to do.

[00:06:42] I mean, like for real.

[00:06:44] So like if you do something wrong and you blame it on God, because historically speaking, like they talk about slavery.

[00:06:50] They talk about doing a lot of bad, like genocide, like killing people, like, and then put it in God's name saying that God wanted them to do this.

[00:06:57] Right.

[00:06:58] And that's where I think people are a little bit too.

[00:07:01] That was, that was my scare with religion in the beginning.

[00:07:05] Like, I don't want to, I don't want to use God's name in vain, you know, or use him as a bad excuse.

[00:07:12] Yeah, exactly.

[00:07:13] That's like me being like, oh, it's Chrome fault that I put on this shirt today.

[00:07:17] Like.

[00:07:18] Could have been.

[00:07:19] It could have been, but realistically speaking, I don't think that that type of influence is even possible.

[00:07:25] Like, I don't think you could.

[00:07:26] So you're saying that, you're saying that God, people use God as a, or an excuse, but free will, what you said, free will.

[00:07:35] Yeah.

[00:07:36] That you can do whatever you want and it's not all God all the time.

[00:07:39] He's probably letting it happen, but.

[00:07:41] Oh man, I had to, I had to come to the realization that there's a, there's a devil.

[00:07:47] Right.

[00:07:48] Right.

[00:07:48] There's a, there's a, another entity that works towards distracting us, towards getting us to do the wrong thing, towards encouraging the wrong thing.

[00:07:56] And it's not always God.

[00:07:58] It's not always God fault that something happens.

[00:08:01] Sometimes God just let it happen.

[00:08:04] God knows.

[00:08:05] According to the Bible and what I understand, God knows it's going to happen.

[00:08:09] Right.

[00:08:09] But it's not always God's job to interfere in a path that you're on.

[00:08:14] This is, that's where it gets complicated a little bit because it's like, God knows.

[00:08:19] And he allows.

[00:08:20] He allows.

[00:08:21] Of course.

[00:08:21] You got to look back to the great floods, like a rainbow.

[00:08:25] A rainbow represent God not flooding the earth again.

[00:08:27] You know, like he, in certain aspects, people saw it as a bad thing.

[00:08:32] Right.

[00:08:32] Some people see it as a new beginning, but it's really how you take it.

[00:08:35] And that's where I say free will come into play because you can willingly let God guide you.

[00:08:41] Like wholeheartedly.

[00:08:42] You could take your leap of faith and let God guide you either way.

[00:08:45] Right.

[00:08:45] But you got to understand that there are other things in the universe that can stop you or hurt you or harm you or put you in those situations.

[00:08:56] Exactly.

[00:08:56] Other than God, like you can't.

[00:08:58] Yeah.

[00:08:58] I like how Chrome was emphasizing this whole idea that you have brought up of free will.

[00:09:03] Because sometimes, you know, for me, it's not only the devil, what is it called, initiating something.

[00:09:12] Sometimes it's just us.

[00:09:14] You know what I'm saying?

[00:09:14] Like, for example, procrastination.

[00:09:17] Like if I'm in school and I get an F or whatever and then, or even beyond that, let's just say I'm just doing poorly in school.

[00:09:26] And it's not just an F on my paper, but I'm just like showing up late to class, things like that.

[00:09:29] Having a bad experience overall with college.

[00:09:32] It's like, and I've been praying, you know, I've been praying really hard, but I'm not really putting in the work.

[00:09:37] It's like, okay, but that was simply me.

[00:09:39] And it wasn't even the devil.

[00:09:41] You know what I'm saying?

[00:09:41] It wasn't the devil.

[00:09:42] It wasn't God.

[00:09:43] It was me.

[00:09:44] Yeah.

[00:09:45] Right.

[00:09:46] So, yeah.

[00:09:47] Accountability.

[00:09:48] Accountability is a big word, you know?

[00:09:50] Some people don't want to take accountability for their actions.

[00:09:53] So they do that.

[00:10:02] Louis V.

[00:10:03] You know, like, it'd be some BS sometimes.

[00:10:08] It'd be some BS.

[00:10:09] And DJ, I also want to bring back what you mentioned earlier of believing in energies, right?

[00:10:16] Because that goes along with talking about God and the universe and things like that.

[00:10:19] So, like you said, there's people use crystals to, and see, I'm inaccurate because I'm not somebody who does crystals or does special rituals with crystals.

[00:10:29] But I do.

[00:10:30] My sister does some things with crystals.

[00:10:32] And there's other people who do believe in, you know, earthly substances that bring about vibes or emotion.

[00:10:40] For example, it could be as little as the scent of lavender, right?

[00:10:44] Like, people use lavender to calm your mind.

[00:10:48] Here's what I believe when it comes to using earthly substances to initiate certain vibes and things, right?

[00:10:55] I believe that God created those things and he put everything on this earth for us to, like, we have what we need.

[00:11:05] So I do believe that, yes, lavender brings about a calming sense.

[00:11:09] Yes, incense, like, it's a vibe, you know what I'm saying?

[00:11:13] And you can be intentional with those things.

[00:11:16] Like, and I just think that people make a mistake when they start to idolize the earthly substances, like the actual stone and crystals.

[00:11:29] What is a stone going to do for you?

[00:11:30] Why are you going to pray to a stone?

[00:11:31] I mean, I had to look at stuff a little bit differently, too.

[00:11:36] Because when my dad passed away, I was less religious.

[00:11:40] I ain't going to church, praying, stuff like that was a turnoff.

[00:11:45] You know, it was one of those things I kind of pushed away, pushed to the side.

[00:11:49] But what I did lean into was understanding, like, energy can't be created or destroyed.

[00:11:54] It could be channeled, right?

[00:11:56] You could channel energy into something.

[00:11:58] You could channel energy a certain way.

[00:11:59] Or you could push energy.

[00:12:02] You could move energy.

[00:12:02] But you can't create it.

[00:12:04] You can't destroy it.

[00:12:05] So when people take these objects, right, and they say there's energy in them, I can believe that.

[00:12:11] I can look at it.

[00:12:12] If you believe it, I can believe it, you know?

[00:12:15] And then there's a lot of science behind a lot of that stuff.

[00:12:18] And we're going to dive into that, too.

[00:12:19] We're going to dive into that.

[00:12:21] We're going to dive into the science.

[00:12:22] Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da, you know?

[00:12:25] But it's definitely like that.

[00:12:26] But I don't think that people fully understand, like, even if you talk about your soul, like, your soul can't be destroyed.

[00:12:35] You know?

[00:12:36] I believe that, too.

[00:12:37] I don't think that, like, spiritually you could be broken like that, you know?

[00:12:42] So, yeah, I'm going to leave it there.

[00:12:45] How do you feel, Chrome?

[00:12:46] How do you feel, man?

[00:12:48] Yeah, a lot of these things, you know, God works because we believe in him.

[00:12:52] These crystals and things, they work because you believe in it.

[00:12:54] You don't ever believe in it.

[00:12:56] I don't think they would work.

[00:12:57] You know what I mean?

[00:12:57] It just matters how much belief you put into it.

[00:13:00] Yeah, yeah.

[00:13:01] Wait, run that back.

[00:13:03] Manifestation.

[00:13:04] You've got to believe.

[00:13:05] You've got to believe.

[00:13:05] Wait, wait, wait.

[00:13:06] Believe is the key.

[00:13:07] Okay.

[00:13:08] You've got to be, what is it called, on top of your words.

[00:13:11] So, are you saying that in order for God to work, you have to believe in him?

[00:13:18] For sure.

[00:13:19] I mean, he's always helping us out.

[00:13:21] We've got to get into that.

[00:13:22] We've got to get into that, y'all.

[00:13:23] We've got to get into that.

[00:13:24] Come on, come on, come on.

[00:13:24] We can go.

[00:13:24] We are back on the Man Up Club Presents podcast today.

[00:13:27] We're talking about God.

[00:13:28] We got into some really interesting conversation.

[00:13:31] Chrome said something kind of off the wall, the last segment.

[00:13:34] He said, what'd you say about us believing that God worked?

[00:13:39] What'd you say?

[00:13:40] Just repeat what you said.

[00:13:40] So, in order for God to work in your life, you've got to be able to believe in him.

[00:13:44] That's controversial.

[00:13:46] What you think about it?

[00:13:49] That's with anything.

[00:13:51] Like I said, that manifestation, that free will,

[00:13:54] that God gave us plays a big part into things happening around us.

[00:13:59] Okay.

[00:14:00] But here, okay.

[00:14:02] What you, like, I feel like I understand what you, where you're going, but what you're saying,

[00:14:08] it's almost like a, what is it called?

[00:14:11] Like a heresy or like a taboo thing.

[00:14:13] Because, because you're saying in order for God to work, then, you know, we have to, we have to believe in him.

[00:14:22] It's like, yes, faith.

[00:14:23] Okay.

[00:14:24] Faith as a Christian, I believe faith without works is dead.

[00:14:27] Right.

[00:14:28] But God also does not need us.

[00:14:31] Right.

[00:14:31] He don't need us.

[00:14:33] Right.

[00:14:33] You know what I'm saying?

[00:14:34] He created us.

[00:14:35] He is the creator of everything.

[00:14:37] Right.

[00:14:37] And so it's like, whether I believe God or not, God is doing things.

[00:14:45] He making things happen in my sleep.

[00:14:47] You know?

[00:14:47] Sure.

[00:14:48] God, he's not stopping for nobody.

[00:14:49] But I mean, if you want to tap into that power, you have to be able to believe.

[00:14:53] Okay.

[00:14:53] Not for God.

[00:14:55] God can take you out tomorrow.

[00:14:56] You ever heard people compare God and religion to politics?

[00:15:01] I have.

[00:15:01] I have.

[00:15:02] Where they like, if you want to keep a friend, don't talk about God or politics?

[00:15:08] Yep.

[00:15:09] I've heard that.

[00:15:09] I've heard that before.

[00:15:10] That comparison just in itself or comparing God to anything as far as like political or,

[00:15:19] you know, humanly is dumb in my head.

[00:15:24] I ain't going to lie.

[00:15:25] Just because.

[00:15:25] So compare God to politics is dumb?

[00:15:27] Yeah.

[00:15:28] Because why?

[00:15:29] How so?

[00:15:29] How so?

[00:15:29] I made more friends talking about God and connecting with.

[00:15:33] It's a way to connect.

[00:15:34] Politics is a way to divide.

[00:15:36] You talk about Republicans.

[00:15:37] And these are two polar opposite things that don't go together.

[00:15:40] You think God plays a part in politics?

[00:15:42] Does God play a part in politics?

[00:15:44] In order?

[00:15:45] God.

[00:15:46] Look on the back of your money.

[00:15:49] That's easy.

[00:15:50] Yeah.

[00:15:51] You understand that.

[00:15:51] You know, that's easy, bro.

[00:15:53] But you got to understand, like, people can take that out of context, you know?

[00:15:59] They sure can.

[00:15:59] And they use, like I said, in the beginning, they use God as an excuse.

[00:16:04] In my head, God should never be a way to divide people.

[00:16:08] Right.

[00:16:08] Right.

[00:16:08] There's no way that you could use God to divide if he is.

[00:16:13] I want to say, I want to say that is so dope that you can say, oh, most people think that, you know, you shouldn't be talking about God because it's obviously going to bring about division and controversy and make people feel uncomfortable.

[00:16:27] But you have that perspective for a reason.

[00:16:30] And you have to understand that, well, probably the reason why those conversations that you have with people about God has brought you closer to people is because the people that you're talking to and yourself are mature enough to maybe agree to disagree.

[00:16:43] Or, you know what I'm saying?

[00:16:44] It's like, you're right.

[00:16:45] The way that you talk about God, it makes all the difference.

[00:16:50] Yeah.

[00:16:50] You know what I'm saying?

[00:16:51] But if you're combative with it, that's why a lot of people, they don't like talking about God and things like that because their experience with Christians or even other people who believe in certain faiths, unfortunately, has been negative.

[00:17:06] And as Christians, the type of Christian that I want to be, I want to be the person that somebody can think about, well, dang, like that's one of the Christians that actually like, even though I don't believe what she believes, like she actually makes me feel safe.

[00:17:18] Or she makes me feel like I can talk about what I believe and then also maybe even hear a little bit about what she believes and it's not threatening.

[00:17:26] Right.

[00:17:27] So, so I like that.

[00:17:31] So how do you guys know that God is real?

[00:17:37] Okay.

[00:17:37] How do y'all know that God is real?

[00:17:42] How do I know God?

[00:17:43] I mean, you see the trees, you see the birds, you see the bees.

[00:17:45] Who put it there?

[00:17:46] I know Big Bang can't do it.

[00:17:47] I know, you know, there's a lot of things.

[00:17:50] Even look at the body.

[00:17:51] The body repairs itself.

[00:17:53] You know, things happen that you see dreams.

[00:17:57] There's something else.

[00:17:58] There's some controlling.

[00:17:59] There's some controlling everything.

[00:18:00] You can't, the ecosystem.

[00:18:02] Everybody got food.

[00:18:03] Birds got food.

[00:18:04] We got food.

[00:18:06] You know what I'm saying?

[00:18:07] The bees got food.

[00:18:08] Everybody eats.

[00:18:10] The smallest parasite in your body has food.

[00:18:12] Who's giving these, who's giving these guys food, man?

[00:18:14] Somebody's controlling this.

[00:18:15] That's how I know.

[00:18:16] Hmm.

[00:18:17] There, okay, so there are people who are atheists.

[00:18:21] They see the birds.

[00:18:22] They see the trees.

[00:18:23] They know their body work.

[00:18:25] But they're, what I understand is that their belief is that, like you said, you brought up

[00:18:33] the Big Bang.

[00:18:34] You know, they could believe in that.

[00:18:36] They could believe that it's nature.

[00:18:39] It's science.

[00:18:40] Right.

[00:18:41] Evolution.

[00:18:42] You know what I'm saying?

[00:18:43] There's, people still believe, and I don't know if you guys believe that either, but

[00:18:47] yeah, that humans started off as apes and things like that.

[00:18:50] Come on.

[00:18:50] There's still monkeys at the zoo.

[00:18:51] You said, you said in the beginning, God is the umbrella.

[00:18:54] He's the creator.

[00:18:55] Right.

[00:18:56] That's what I believe.

[00:18:56] Right.

[00:18:57] Right.

[00:18:57] So he created and then let us create.

[00:19:00] He created and made creators.

[00:19:02] But I'm saying.

[00:19:04] I'm like that.

[00:19:05] So this is where people get real critical.

[00:19:11] Right.

[00:19:11] Because even I seen an atheist in jail cry and pray to God after he got sentenced.

[00:19:18] So when people are in their worst position, they still look for something to lean on.

[00:19:23] It could be, it could be a person.

[00:19:25] It could be, but they look for that attribute in everybody, that godly sense in everybody.

[00:19:29] So it's, they don't have to necessarily believe in God.

[00:19:33] And this is why I don't really argue with people about religion.

[00:19:36] If you believe in you, if you believe in your parents, if you believe in anything, then I

[00:19:43] can, I can work with you.

[00:19:44] You know, we can have a conversation about faith.

[00:19:47] If you believe in love, is that what you're saying?

[00:19:50] If you believe in anything, if you believe in yourself, we can start having a conversation

[00:19:55] about God.

[00:19:56] Okay.

[00:19:57] But you're saying if somebody's hopeless, that's when you can't have a conversation.

[00:19:59] Yeah.

[00:19:59] When people are just a hundred percent against believing in anything, when they, when they

[00:20:04] wholeheartedly have given up belief.

[00:20:07] Well, okay.

[00:20:08] See, the thing is here.

[00:20:09] That's when it gets complicated.

[00:20:12] Atheist, atheism is the, is the rejection of deities.

[00:20:17] It is the rejection that any God exists.

[00:20:21] So yes, they believe in their parents.

[00:20:23] Yes.

[00:20:23] There, there's atheists that literally love as hard as I do.

[00:20:27] You know what I'm saying?

[00:20:28] In a, in a sense, like, but it's like, they just believe it's a different philosophy or

[00:20:33] line of thinking.

[00:20:34] It's like, okay.

[00:20:35] Okay.

[00:20:36] I like what you said, or you brought up a good point when you had said, you know, you,

[00:20:39] you saw this, you know, this atheist who went, got sentenced and you ended up seeing him

[00:20:44] pray to God.

[00:20:45] But there are atheists who claim that because they cannot, they don't understand one of

[00:20:52] the issues.

[00:20:53] They don't understand why if, okay.

[00:20:55] If there's a God, why is, why is everybody getting shot up in school?

[00:20:58] Why are these babies, these innocent babies getting shot up in school?

[00:21:02] Why are people just dropping dead like flies?

[00:21:05] You know what I'm saying?

[00:21:06] And I mean, in certain communities, people just dying every day, you know, you got, you

[00:21:11] got, uh, starving kids in other areas of the world.

[00:21:16] You know what I'm saying?

[00:21:17] All this suffering, cancer constantly.

[00:21:19] Life is not fair.

[00:21:20] And then people look at, okay, why do the good people, why do they die?

[00:21:25] That's what, that's a problem.

[00:21:27] A lot of people have.

[00:21:27] Why do the good people die so young or why do they die so quick or why do they die in

[00:21:31] the most horrible ways?

[00:21:32] And then you see bad people succeeding, getting up there, getting the money, getting the fame

[00:21:36] or, you know, just coming up because they using people.

[00:21:40] They cannot, that don't make, if there's a God, if there's a good God, why is this stuff

[00:21:44] happening?

[00:21:45] I said it, I said it before.

[00:21:47] Comparison is going to be the downfall of, of most men.

[00:21:51] That's, that's the easiest way to put it.

[00:21:54] Look, there's certain things that we can control.

[00:21:57] And then there's certain things that we can't.

[00:21:59] Unfortunately, we can't control other people.

[00:22:01] We could try to, we could use technology.

[00:22:04] We could hypnotize, I saw some hypnotist stuff and some other stuff.

[00:22:07] We could try to control other people.

[00:22:09] We can't, but unfortunately the only person that you can really control is you.

[00:22:15] So when people sit there and they, they dissect or they question God and then they're like,

[00:22:20] why is this happening?

[00:22:21] Or what's going on over here?

[00:22:23] Why is that?

[00:22:25] I just got to let that be.

[00:22:27] That's not that.

[00:22:28] I'm not going to say that's not my problem.

[00:22:30] It's not my, cause I still feel some type of way.

[00:22:33] If something happens, I feel it.

[00:22:34] You know, I feel it.

[00:22:35] But at the same time, I believe that God has a plan.

[00:22:39] And unfortunately I've seen the, the holiest people go.

[00:22:43] I've seen the people who believe in God the most and live the best life and don't value

[00:22:48] the money.

[00:22:48] They really value like the people in their relationships and that I've seen them pass

[00:22:52] away.

[00:22:53] And in my head, if you really believe in God, then you know, the spirit is eternal.

[00:22:57] It didn't go nowhere.

[00:22:59] That's why I said in the beginning, energy can't be created nor destroyed.

[00:23:02] But so if you believe that people are getting destroyed because of these bad incidents and

[00:23:07] their souls are gone or they just don't exist no more, then I can't agree with you.

[00:23:13] What you think, Chrome?

[00:23:15] Just, just talking about all this.

[00:23:16] I know you got some thoughts in your head.

[00:23:18] Just like, I mean, it's just like, it starts in a home in America.

[00:23:23] A lot of people are dead in America, but they still living, living dead.

[00:23:26] You know what I mean?

[00:23:27] The walking dead.

[00:23:27] Yeah.

[00:23:28] The walking dead.

[00:23:28] That's a lot of what's going on.

[00:23:30] You know what I mean?

[00:23:31] I mean, other countries, I don't know.

[00:23:33] I don't know why people are dying and stuff like that.

[00:23:35] Nobody knows the mind of God, but for sure he told us somewhere in the Bible.

[00:23:38] I just don't know where it's at, but for sure he had to tell, he had to let us know,

[00:23:42] you know what I'm saying?

[00:23:42] This is happening because it is human nature.

[00:23:45] You know, people want to be God.

[00:23:47] People want to cause control.

[00:23:48] A lot of people are under control.

[00:23:52] I don't know.

[00:23:53] Yeah.

[00:23:54] I don't see, I don't see death as a punishment.

[00:23:56] It's not, yeah, it's just, it just is.

[00:23:58] I don't think death is the punishment.

[00:24:00] No, death's not the punishment, no.

[00:24:02] I think living, living was the punishment.

[00:24:04] No, no, living was the gift, bro.

[00:24:06] No, living was the gift.

[00:24:07] Living is a gift, bro.

[00:24:09] Living is.

[00:24:09] Even demons want to live, bro.

[00:24:11] Living is a gift.

[00:24:13] Living is a gift.

[00:24:14] The gift of life, bro.

[00:24:16] The gift of life, right?

[00:24:17] I agree with Chrome.

[00:24:19] I agree.

[00:24:20] But I know what you're saying, but I know what you're saying though.

[00:24:22] The struggle is the punishment, if that makes sense.

[00:24:25] Yes.

[00:24:26] Okay, thank you for clearing that up.

[00:24:27] The, it's not living that is, because you're right.

[00:24:30] You're wholeheartedly right.

[00:24:31] Like I completely, 110% agree with you, Chrome.

[00:24:34] But the struggle of life.

[00:24:37] It's beautiful.

[00:24:38] You just said that.

[00:24:39] What are you talking about?

[00:24:40] You just said that.

[00:24:42] You just, bro.

[00:24:43] It's a beautiful struggle.

[00:24:44] It's a, it's a, it's a curse and a gift.

[00:24:47] Life is, life is exactly what you make it.

[00:24:51] To a T.

[00:24:52] See, he's speaking from wisdom.

[00:24:54] But you gotta be clear though, because me and Chrome did catch that.

[00:24:57] See what you mean.

[00:24:58] You got that.

[00:24:58] I mean what you say.

[00:24:59] Man up lesson.

[00:25:00] Mr. D. Shout out Mr. D.

[00:25:01] Shout out Mr. D.

[00:25:03] Shout out Crossman.

[00:25:04] Look, all I'ma, all I'ma say is, life is what you make it.

[00:25:08] If you focus on all the negative stuff in life, then your life is gonna be negative.

[00:25:13] If you focus on the positive and the good of life, then you gonna notice there are so many good things going on.

[00:25:19] We just highlight the bad.

[00:25:21] Like if you watch the news, I could call 10 people doing something positive right now.

[00:25:26] Right.

[00:25:27] Out of 10 phone calls, I could call 10 people doing something positive right now because that's what they focus on.

[00:25:35] That's what they're doing.

[00:25:36] That's, that's what I see from them.

[00:25:38] Now I know 10 people might have their flaws, but at the same time, I'm not calling them to talk about their flaws.

[00:25:44] I'm not calling them to criticize what they're doing or how they dress or how they walk.

[00:25:48] That's not what I'm here for.

[00:25:49] And let me just say, it's not about us ignoring the bad things, okay?

[00:25:53] Because that's not, we're not supposed to do that.

[00:25:55] But I would just say that a lot of bad things happen, it's not God.

[00:26:01] It's the nature of people.

[00:26:04] Okay.

[00:26:05] So, oof.

[00:26:07] I feel you, you know, there's principalities and.

[00:26:10] And all that stuff.

[00:26:11] Principalities, I'm going to keep going.

[00:26:13] Principalities in the higher places, bro.

[00:26:14] You know what I'm saying?

[00:26:15] Just like you said, there's more things that are in control.

[00:26:18] You know what I'm saying?

[00:26:18] Yeah, it's not.

[00:26:19] Let's get into the next segment.

[00:26:21] What's up, you guys?

[00:26:21] We are back with Chrome and DJ, okay?

[00:26:24] We are talking about God getting in a real juicy conversation, y'all.

[00:26:29] Juicy conversation.

[00:26:30] So let's get back into it.

[00:26:31] Chrome had talked about demons.

[00:26:33] And we were just talking about, you know, why do people not believe in God?

[00:26:40] And why do you personally believe in God?

[00:26:43] And Chrome says something about, you know, demons and things like that.

[00:26:46] So expand on your thoughts right now.

[00:26:48] So we ended up talking about why bad things happen to people.

[00:26:54] I ended up with demons and principalities in higher places that we can't see that are controlling things.

[00:27:00] And you had said something about, you know, people see people having cars and money and status or just living good on the outside, but never know what's going on the inside.

[00:27:11] People are really dead on the inside.

[00:27:12] People, you know, the devil's going to make it look good, but he's not going to tell you what's going on in the back end.

[00:27:17] Yeah.

[00:27:18] And see, that's a whole nother conversation because the temptations of this world.

[00:27:27] A lot of people see, you know, it's the sex.

[00:27:32] It's money, like filthy rich money because it's the idea of being in love with the fact that I can get whatever I want at my fingertips.

[00:27:42] If I can, if I got the money for it.

[00:27:44] Oh, nine times out of 10 people going to fall for money.

[00:27:47] Yeah.

[00:27:47] You know, and that's why people say, oh, the root of what the roots.

[00:27:52] Why am I blanking on the most common statement?

[00:27:53] The root of all evil is money.

[00:27:55] Okay.

[00:27:55] It's really the love of money.

[00:27:57] The love of money.

[00:27:59] The money.

[00:27:59] Money in the Bible.

[00:28:01] Money is in the Bible.

[00:28:02] Currency.

[00:28:02] We should be rich.

[00:28:03] Exactly.

[00:28:04] In the Bible.

[00:28:05] It's the way you use it.

[00:28:06] It's an object.

[00:28:07] It's the love.

[00:28:08] It's the love.

[00:28:08] It's the love.

[00:28:09] It's the love.

[00:28:10] That's wisdom right there.

[00:28:11] It's the love.

[00:28:12] When you start to make money, you're a God.

[00:28:14] Okay.

[00:28:15] And you start compromising on your morals and things like that.

[00:28:17] That's when everything's going to go left for you internally.

[00:28:20] And that's what I think about when you say people be dead on the inside.

[00:28:24] Yeah.

[00:28:25] Wait, pause.

[00:28:26] I love money.

[00:28:27] Hey, I love money too.

[00:28:29] Well, I don't worship money.

[00:28:31] I love money.

[00:28:32] I don't worship money.

[00:28:34] I love money though.

[00:28:35] I love money though.

[00:28:37] Yeah.

[00:28:37] But I don't worship money.

[00:28:38] I love the clothes I got on.

[00:28:40] Right.

[00:28:40] But I'll burn them if it came down to, you know, but that's where I think it's a big

[00:28:49] divide where people think if you love something too much, then you worship it.

[00:28:56] Right.

[00:28:56] No, I don't worship money.

[00:28:58] I love money.

[00:28:59] I love money more than I love some other stuff for sure.

[00:29:03] Talk about rain and weather and other stuff on the earth.

[00:29:08] There's certain things on earth I don't like as much as money.

[00:29:11] Right.

[00:29:11] But that doesn't mean that I worship money.

[00:29:14] Exactly.

[00:29:14] I like that and I agree with you because, you know, I love being able to, let's just say,

[00:29:20] you know, take a flight and see my family whenever I want.

[00:29:23] Money creates opportunity.

[00:29:25] You know what I'm saying?

[00:29:25] But like you said, don't make it your, like you said, don't worship it.

[00:29:29] Don't make it your God.

[00:29:30] Yeah.

[00:29:30] And God, what I believe as a Christian, God is a jealous God.

[00:29:34] For sure.

[00:29:35] You know.

[00:29:36] But, you know, we kind of talked on atheism and things like that.

[00:29:40] And I, this is what I think about it.

[00:29:44] Like, one of the biggest reasons why I believe in God is because the alternative thought that

[00:29:53] there's nothing after death, it doesn't make any sense to me.

[00:30:00] It does not make any sense to me.

[00:30:02] Like, okay, let's just say that I believed that there was nothing, you know, after this life.

[00:30:08] Like, if that's true, that means that the love that I shared between me and my grandmother,

[00:30:16] you know, the woman that taught me how to read, the woman that taught me how to write,

[00:30:20] the woman that loved me more than, she made me feel loved more than any other human did.

[00:30:27] And it's like, okay, the bond that I have with her, she's passed away now.

[00:30:30] But just because she's passed away, oh, that just meant nothing?

[00:30:35] Like, what was the point?

[00:30:37] What is the point of all of this?

[00:30:39] Like, what's the point of, you know, protecting your loved ones?

[00:30:44] What's the point of getting riled up if somebody, like, disrespects your cousin or something like that?

[00:30:50] Like, what's the point of, like, marrying somebody and then, like, literally loving their soul?

[00:30:55] You know what I'm saying?

[00:30:56] Like, literally loving their soul.

[00:30:58] And then when they die, oh, we just go to dirt.

[00:31:02] Like, if that's the case, this is kind of a morbid perspective.

[00:31:06] But it's like, with that perspective, I see how people can just kill people.

[00:31:12] Because, oh, it doesn't matter.

[00:31:14] Like, why?

[00:31:14] It don't matter.

[00:31:15] Like, why try to be good in this world if it doesn't even matter?

[00:31:19] And then, like, you know, I understand the other perspective as well.

[00:31:23] Yeah, I believe that there's nothing after this.

[00:31:26] Like, you know, there's no God or whatever.

[00:31:27] We are our own gods.

[00:31:28] But, like, this is the life.

[00:31:31] This is the only life.

[00:31:33] And see, I cannot wrap my head around it.

[00:31:35] It's like, okay, this is the only life?

[00:31:37] Well, dang.

[00:31:38] Like, that's messed up, too.

[00:31:40] Because it's like, okay, well, there's so much suffering in this life.

[00:31:43] You know, I was having a conversation with Uncle Dave.

[00:31:49] Shout out David Hahn, the CEO from Urban Ventures.

[00:31:51] Like, literally yesterday about this exact topic.

[00:31:53] And he was like, when you die, how are you going to get into heaven?

[00:31:58] Like, you get to the gates and God comes to you and he says, like, why should I let you in?

[00:32:04] Y'all know the answer to the question?

[00:32:08] Because I love you.

[00:32:09] Bible study 101.

[00:32:10] Bible study 101 from DJ himself.

[00:32:14] John 3.16.

[00:32:18] For God so loved the world that he.

[00:32:20] Yeah, for God so loved the world that he gave his.

[00:32:23] He gave only a begotten son.

[00:32:25] Yeah.

[00:32:25] Right?

[00:32:25] Yes.

[00:32:26] That whoever believed in him should not perish but have eternal life.

[00:32:32] So, when you talk about eternal life, not physical eternal life.

[00:32:37] Like, not physically living.

[00:32:40] Like, but spiritually living forever.

[00:32:42] They say if you want to live forever, you have to believe that God sent his only son to die for us.

[00:32:51] For our sins.

[00:32:52] To give us eternal life.

[00:32:53] So, to relieve us.

[00:32:55] And that's why I said before, life isn't a, it's a blessing.

[00:32:59] For one, it is.

[00:33:00] Death.

[00:33:00] But it's also one of our curses.

[00:33:02] It's one of those things that we, we worship.

[00:33:05] We worship life.

[00:33:06] To a, to an extent that when we die, we, we hate it.

[00:33:10] We hate death.

[00:33:12] But death isn't the say all be all.

[00:33:14] It's not, it's not the end.

[00:33:16] It's just a physical death.

[00:33:18] It's not a spiritual death.

[00:33:20] Yeah.

[00:33:20] Yeah.

[00:33:20] Yeah.

[00:33:20] Like you said that, bro.

[00:33:21] I created a whole brand.

[00:33:22] The brand name is death.

[00:33:24] Just the meaning of that is exactly what you said.

[00:33:28] John 3, 16.

[00:33:29] You know what I'm saying?

[00:33:30] But it's focusing more, not more on life, but the death.

[00:33:35] The death of yourself on the inside.

[00:33:38] You know what I'm saying?

[00:33:39] Killing the person on the inside so you can live life actually.

[00:33:42] You know what I mean?

[00:33:43] Not, you don't got to die, die.

[00:33:45] But you got to die from the ego.

[00:33:46] You got to die your ego so you can really live in this life.

[00:33:50] Like you can be, you can live in hell physically right now.

[00:33:54] A lot of people are in hell, but you got to really, you got to know how to die from within.

[00:33:59] To live in heaven physically.

[00:34:01] To have peace.

[00:34:02] You know what I'm saying?

[00:34:02] To have peace.

[00:34:03] Like peace is good.

[00:34:04] Like I was living in hell not too long ago.

[00:34:06] I'm just starting to grab a little piece of peace.

[00:34:09] And I'm saying, I'm understanding like, God, this is what you mean.

[00:34:13] Anything you can go through, anything you go through.

[00:34:15] Somebody can die.

[00:34:16] Somebody can blow up your house.

[00:34:17] But you're going to be good because you got that peace.

[00:34:20] Right.

[00:34:21] That's real, Chrome.

[00:34:22] That is, y'all need to play him back, okay?

[00:34:25] Hey, I'm just, if you're listening to this episode, you need to play him back because that was, it was just, first of all, it's heartfelt.

[00:34:33] I can tell it was heartfelt.

[00:34:34] But two, it's, it's, it's wisdom because it's like, okay, you said that's your clothing brand or that's the clothing brand you want to start?

[00:34:40] Clothing brand.

[00:34:40] Yeah.

[00:34:41] Yeah.

[00:34:41] And so it's like the, the word for it is death.

[00:34:44] So you would think like you're repping death, but if it's like a deeper meaning.

[00:34:48] You got to understand, you know, when you see death, it just catches your eye.

[00:34:52] So it's just catching your eye.

[00:34:53] But if you want to go deeper, you want to know the story about it.

[00:34:55] Yeah.

[00:34:56] Come over.

[00:34:56] I'll tell you.

[00:34:57] I like that.

[00:34:58] I like that.

[00:34:58] You know, guys talking about death.

[00:35:00] Okay.

[00:35:02] As, as a person of faith, I'm, I'm growing with the idea, you know, like as of right now.

[00:35:10] Okay.

[00:35:10] Actually, let me, let me back up before recent times.

[00:35:16] I very, I was very uncomfortable with death.

[00:35:19] I still am uncomfortable with death.

[00:35:21] I, but my relationship with it, with it is I hate it.

[00:35:26] You know, I, I'm not one of those people that, you know, think like, okay, yeah,

[00:35:30] death is a passage to life.

[00:35:32] It's like, yes, I know that, you know, eventually I would like to get to that perspective, but

[00:35:36] like, it's just, when I think about death, I associate it so much with just being ruthless

[00:35:42] and it's a thief.

[00:35:44] You know what I'm saying?

[00:35:44] Like even in the Bible talks about death, death comes like, like a thief in the night.

[00:35:48] You know what I'm saying?

[00:35:49] And it's true.

[00:35:50] Like death don't care about race.

[00:35:52] Death don't care about age.

[00:35:53] Death don't care about what you did.

[00:35:54] It don't care about how much you love your grandma.

[00:35:56] I don't care about none of that.

[00:35:57] Right.

[00:35:58] It's, it's nature and it's time and it's going, and you just going to get snatched up

[00:36:03] and it's like, dang, death took my grandmother away.

[00:36:08] And for a lot of people, they feel that death took my mama away.

[00:36:10] Death took my brother away.

[00:36:12] You know what I'm saying?

[00:36:14] But yeah, it's so, I don't know.

[00:36:16] Like I'm.

[00:36:16] I mean, Jesus died.

[00:36:18] He died.

[00:36:19] That's what we believe.

[00:36:20] We do communion.

[00:36:21] We drink the blood because he died.

[00:36:23] We did this because he died.

[00:36:24] You know what I mean?

[00:36:26] Just because you died don't mean you dead.

[00:36:27] You dead.

[00:36:28] You still here or you still, you're alive, but you just not alive here.

[00:36:32] Yeah.

[00:36:32] And, and Mr. Dean lesson 101, Mr. Dean, shout out, shout out Mr. Dean in the back of my

[00:36:39] head right now.

[00:36:41] Emotions and feelings are temporary.

[00:36:43] Right.

[00:36:44] So when you attach death to an emotion, to a temporary emotion, you actually make it longer.

[00:36:51] Like you, you drag it out.

[00:36:53] You know, you, you take that emotion and every time it's a trigger, you know, and that's not

[00:36:57] a bad thing.

[00:36:58] We emotional beings.

[00:36:59] We supposed to feel, but when you take away the emotion from death, it's a, it's a celebration.

[00:37:06] That's why, that's why what you saying with church, we celebrate.

[00:37:09] Yeah.

[00:37:10] We celebrate.

[00:37:10] Celebration of life.

[00:37:11] Yeah.

[00:37:12] Celebration of the life that they have, not the life that they had.

[00:37:16] There's a, there's a clear line that people cross sometimes and be like, they not living

[00:37:19] no more.

[00:37:20] You know, point.

[00:37:20] Right.

[00:37:21] It's the life that they have because eternally they're not dead.

[00:37:26] They're not, they didn't go anywhere.

[00:37:28] And that was my peace.

[00:37:30] That's how I found my peace with my dad passing away.

[00:37:32] That's how I find my peace with my friends and my family members passing away.

[00:37:35] Because in my, in my belief, I have to understand that this is a celebration of them moving on

[00:37:42] to another chapter of life.

[00:37:44] And I might not be there yet.

[00:37:46] I'm not there yet, but everybody got to get there.

[00:37:49] There's not, there's not a person on earth who's not going to have to die.

[00:37:53] Right.

[00:37:54] You know, and just went to a funeral Friday and we were talking about just how they come

[00:37:59] back.

[00:38:00] How do we, how do we keep them alive in memory?

[00:38:03] How do we celebrate them on a daily basis?

[00:38:05] How do we do the things that they can't do for them?

[00:38:09] You know?

[00:38:09] So to your point, I don't think nobody, I don't think people die spiritually.

[00:38:17] You could be spiritually dead, but I don't think, I don't think you die spiritually.

[00:38:23] I don't think you die like that.

[00:38:26] Yeah.

[00:38:26] I want to counter what you just said.

[00:38:27] You said that we should find ways to celebrate them still while they're not here.

[00:38:33] You know, I go against that just a little bit.

[00:38:34] Cause it's like they're gone.

[00:38:36] You know what I'm saying?

[00:38:36] And they ain't never coming back.

[00:38:37] You know what I'm saying?

[00:38:37] We had a funeral.

[00:38:38] Boom.

[00:38:39] Eat some food.

[00:38:40] Everybody go home and that should just be it.

[00:38:42] You know what I mean?

[00:38:42] No, no.

[00:38:43] It really should, a funeral really should be a celebration.

[00:38:45] Cause it's like, dude, if we really know how you live, you live for God for real.

[00:38:48] Dude, we should be celebrating.

[00:38:49] Like bro, he's gone.

[00:38:51] You know what I'm saying?

[00:38:51] He's kicking it with God or about to be.

[00:38:54] You know what I mean?

[00:38:54] Right.

[00:38:55] But you know, it's just gotta be, they hear the funeral.

[00:38:59] Boom.

[00:38:59] You know what I mean?

[00:39:00] We celebrate them.

[00:39:01] We know that they're in our memories, but it's like, then you kind of worship in the dead.

[00:39:05] I feel like at that point.

[00:39:05] No, not even.

[00:39:07] Not even.

[00:39:07] Not worshiping, but I love my dead.

[00:39:11] I love my dead.

[00:39:12] Like I said, I love them.

[00:39:14] I don't, I love them to another level, especially after I can't pick up the phone and call them.

[00:39:19] Right.

[00:39:19] I don't worship them.

[00:39:20] I'm not praying to my dead.

[00:39:22] I'm not asking them for a blessing.

[00:39:24] True, true, true, true.

[00:39:26] Worshiping and loving are two different things.

[00:39:29] And that's why I said it's a.

[00:39:30] Yeah.

[00:39:30] He threw the thumb up.

[00:39:32] Hey, but we gonna get back into it.

[00:39:34] We gonna get back into it.

[00:39:35] Man, what's the difference between love and worshiping?

[00:39:38] Welcome to the Man Up Club Presents.

[00:39:39] We are having a very interesting conversation on God and we're going to close it out with the last segment, guys.

[00:39:45] This is a conversation that continues on for ages and generations.

[00:39:49] Okay.

[00:39:50] How was that?

[00:39:51] It was good?

[00:39:51] Yeah.

[00:39:51] Okay.

[00:39:52] Okay.

[00:39:52] So here's the thing about this.

[00:39:56] We're talking about the afterlife.

[00:39:57] Yeah.

[00:39:58] Okay.

[00:39:59] Speaking of the afterlife, do you guys believe that after we die our first physical death, the one that everybody knows, are we gonna come back with new bodies?

[00:40:14] Or are we just gonna be spirits?

[00:40:16] That is very, that's a very thought about question.

[00:40:19] So reincarnation, right?

[00:40:23] I wanna be a frog.

[00:40:24] Okay.

[00:40:25] A frog is a freak.

[00:40:28] That's just, okay.

[00:40:29] I'm gonna go through all the way.

[00:40:30] Why a frog now?

[00:40:31] I would wanna be a lion.

[00:40:33] We not, we not gonna, we not gonna go that way.

[00:40:36] All right.

[00:40:36] So look, I believe in spiritual attachments.

[00:40:41] Okay.

[00:40:41] So you talked about your grandma.

[00:40:43] I talked about my dad.

[00:40:45] Spiritually, I'm attached to these people.

[00:40:48] Now they say when you reincarnated, you tend to do the same things.

[00:40:52] You meet the same person, the love of your life, the person that you're supposed to be with.

[00:40:57] You go find those people because of your spiritual attachments.

[00:41:00] I believe it's the same way in death.

[00:41:02] When you pass away, you go and find those spirits that you're attached to.

[00:41:06] Right?

[00:41:07] So, and that's why when you attach to God, you go find God.

[00:41:11] God is there.

[00:41:13] Yeah, because it's of his spirit.

[00:41:14] That's why, that's why as Christians, we say we are of the same spirit.

[00:41:18] You know what I'm saying?

[00:41:19] So when we proclaim, okay, that God is the father, you know, Jesus Christ is our personal Lord and Savior.

[00:41:25] We share that faith.

[00:41:26] That's what sharing the faith is.

[00:41:28] It's let's all go back.

[00:41:29] Let's be in the family of that spirit.

[00:41:32] So all the souls who are part of that family, that's how we're able to connect with each other in the afterlife.

[00:41:39] Yeah.

[00:41:40] And I think when people pass away, a piece of them stay and a piece of us goes.

[00:41:45] So, like, I invested so much time and was around people so much that I honestly feel like they was a part of me.

[00:41:53] So then when you talk about us not being sad, I can't help but cry, you know.

[00:41:58] But at the same time, I'm a father.

[00:42:00] When my kids was born, I almost cried, bro, because it was a piece of me that came to life, you know.

[00:42:05] So there's this understanding, like, for one, tears don't make you weak.

[00:42:12] Tears don't mean that you sad all the time.

[00:42:14] There's happy tears.

[00:42:16] There's happy tears.

[00:42:17] But at the same time, understanding, like, those emotions, they can be temporary.

[00:42:24] But that feeling sometimes is, like, everlasting.

[00:42:27] Like, the way that I felt when my dad cracked a joke, I still be feeling that sometimes.

[00:42:33] Like, certain times, like, certain things happen and you still just feel it.

[00:42:36] You deja vu earlier.

[00:42:38] You know, it's just certain feelings that you have or certain instances where you could really emphasize that person.

[00:42:44] Okay, so do you believe that after we die, it's just a spiritual life?

[00:42:54] Nah, I don't think so.

[00:42:56] Do you think that you'll be physically reborn again?

[00:43:00] Like, yeah.

[00:43:02] I believe in mirroring when, like, you can or, like, when the dead actually show themselves again through something.

[00:43:11] You ever heard of, like, those signs, like, the wind blow a certain way and you hear somebody, like, speaking in your conscience?

[00:43:19] So, like, subconsciously living with us through our memories, I believe is another way of, like, reincarnation.

[00:43:26] Because if I fall asleep right now, I dream about my dad or I dream about my friends, I don't think.

[00:43:32] Like, you got to be careful with that for sure because pretty sure in the Bible, I don't know where you can find it.

[00:43:39] You know, once you're dead, you're dead.

[00:43:40] You have no connection to the physical life until the second, like, until it's all over.

[00:43:47] You know what I mean?

[00:43:49] You can listen to the spirits, you know what I'm saying?

[00:43:50] Like you said, a dream.

[00:43:51] I'm saying people can come back in your dreams, but who are they?

[00:43:54] You know what I'm saying?

[00:43:56] Subconsciously.

[00:43:56] That's why I said not.

[00:43:57] It's subconsciously, but they're gone, though.

[00:43:58] You know what I'm saying?

[00:43:59] A demon can transform into anybody.

[00:44:02] A demon can transform into angel of light.

[00:44:04] Why can't he be your dad or your cousin or your brother or, you know what I mean?

[00:44:07] They never said we couldn't get influenced by demons after being baptized.

[00:44:11] They said that they can no longer possess you, if that makes sense.

[00:44:16] So when I went and got, when I leaned into my faith more and I started looking into, like, why even get baptized?

[00:44:22] Like, what was the point?

[00:44:24] They say once you honor God and Jesus Christ, then no evil entity can take over your body, right?

[00:44:31] Take over doesn't mean it can't be in your mind, can't be around you.

[00:44:34] I mean, if you were my mind, I feel like you're taking over my body.

[00:44:38] So subconsciously, I'm basing those images and those visions off of something that I've already experienced.

[00:44:46] So I don't think it's, like, something new.

[00:44:48] It's not like my dad coming in telling me, like, oh, yeah, DJ, go do something crazy.

[00:44:52] Guys, as you can see, it is obviously a tough question because...

[00:44:58] You said we need more time.

[00:44:59] I know, I know.

[00:45:01] It's obviously a tough question because both of y'all are answering in affirmative.

[00:45:06] About what?

[00:45:07] What's the question?

[00:45:09] Reincarnation.

[00:45:10] Well, actually, DJ, you did.

[00:45:11] I don't believe in reincarnation.

[00:45:12] Not reincarnation, but, like, do you think that you'll physically have a body, like, for eternity?

[00:45:18] No, we're just going to be in the, like, spirit, our soul.

[00:45:22] That's it.

[00:45:23] Okay, so y'all both believe in your soul.

[00:45:23] You think I'll get another body?

[00:45:25] Or have the same body, but it'd be perfect.

[00:45:27] God could send you back to earth.

[00:45:28] No, no, because think about it.

[00:45:29] He said, I want my body.

[00:45:30] I feel like God could send you back to earth.

[00:45:32] Think about it.

[00:45:32] Think about, like, why would he send you back to earth, though?

[00:45:34] He only did that for Jesus for a reason.

[00:45:37] But like I said in the beginning, energy cannot be created nor destroyed.

[00:45:42] Exactly.

[00:45:42] So our soul was created, right?

[00:45:45] Or it's always been, right?

[00:45:46] God knew us before the womb.

[00:45:47] Yep.

[00:45:47] So it's not going to die.

[00:45:49] We just, our physical body's going to die.

[00:45:51] You know what I'm saying?

[00:45:51] We can touch.

[00:45:52] Right.

[00:45:52] Our spirit's not going to die.

[00:45:54] Okay.

[00:45:55] So we just going to be a spirit.

[00:45:57] No.

[00:45:58] You just said, God.

[00:45:58] You can agree to disagree, though.

[00:45:59] Okay, look, look.

[00:46:00] I know.

[00:46:00] We need to pull the verse up.

[00:46:02] Because when Jesus died and he came back, nobody didn't know he looked different, right?

[00:46:08] Yeah, sure.

[00:46:09] So that was his elevated body.

[00:46:11] It didn't look the same as his physical body.

[00:46:13] But how could...

[00:46:14] So that's why we shouldn't pay attention to the physical body.

[00:46:17] I look good.

[00:46:18] But on a different note...

[00:46:20] Hold the mic.

[00:46:21] Hold the mic.

[00:46:22] On a different note, how could God know us before our physical...

[00:46:27] What?

[00:46:27] Dude, how you going...

[00:46:28] How you going...

[00:46:28] Wait, wait, hold on.

[00:46:29] Pause, pause, pause, pause.

[00:46:29] He said God knew us before the womb.

[00:46:31] Of course.

[00:46:32] Of course God knew us before the womb.

[00:46:34] Okay, so is there a possibility that we come back together?

[00:46:37] We've always been.

[00:46:38] Yeah.

[00:46:39] That we come back.

[00:46:39] I think we've always been.

[00:46:40] Or we've been here before?

[00:46:42] Is there a possibility since he already knew us?

[00:46:45] Yes.

[00:46:45] Yes.

[00:46:45] We already was there.

[00:46:47] Right.

[00:46:47] Because how do you...

[00:46:48] It's like the chicken and egg question.

[00:46:50] Was I a spirit or was I...

[00:46:52] Was I physically here first?

[00:46:54] Okay, that's a wonderful point.

[00:46:55] That's a wonderful point.

[00:46:56] Let me...

[00:46:56] Go ahead.

[00:46:57] Let me say this real quick.

[00:46:58] Go ahead.

[00:46:59] Let me say this real quick.

[00:47:00] That is a wonderful point.

[00:47:02] So, yes.

[00:47:03] Since we believe that God knew us before we were physically born, yes, we were alive then.

[00:47:09] But we...

[00:47:10] But so...

[00:47:11] Wow.

[00:47:11] That's actually crazy.

[00:47:12] I never thought about it.

[00:47:14] But we were alive.

[00:47:15] Pull up the Bible verse.

[00:47:16] But see, I think he knew us before we were physically born because God has always been.

[00:47:24] Right.

[00:47:24] He's always been.

[00:47:26] The Lord has always been here.

[00:47:29] Right.

[00:47:30] Yeah.

[00:47:30] Like time is irrelevant to God.

[00:47:32] Exactly.

[00:47:33] You know what I'm saying?

[00:47:34] So, it's like God knew at the beginning of himself that we would be here.

[00:47:41] We just didn't know we were here.

[00:47:43] When we didn't exist, we didn't know.

[00:47:45] What's up?

[00:47:46] Think about this.

[00:47:47] All right.

[00:47:48] What if we did...

[00:47:48] What if we...

[00:47:49] Like you said, our souls been here and God knew us we was kicking in heaven with God.

[00:47:53] But made a choice to come to the physical since life is a gift.

[00:47:59] What if you just came here with a choice but you forgot?

[00:48:02] So, we got to repent.

[00:48:04] I don't think...

[00:48:05] I don't believe that.

[00:48:06] I don't feel that because God is the one that gave us life.

[00:48:09] Right.

[00:48:11] Physical life.

[00:48:12] Spiritual life.

[00:48:13] It all starts with God.

[00:48:14] We can't exist without God.

[00:48:16] That's the point.

[00:48:16] Right.

[00:48:17] But, I mean...

[00:48:18] Apparently we did though.

[00:48:18] We didn't have a choice before God is what I'm saying.

[00:48:21] We don't have a choice.

[00:48:22] We didn't have a choice before God.

[00:48:23] Right.

[00:48:23] What do you mean by that?

[00:48:24] Because you just asked.

[00:48:25] You said, do you think that...

[00:48:28] Since we existed before we physically were here, you know, did...

[00:48:35] Do you think that we chose to be in this life?

[00:48:37] No, I don't think that we chose.

[00:48:38] That was all God's doing.

[00:48:39] We didn't choose to be here.

[00:48:40] I don't think you could be born in hell neither.

[00:48:43] I don't believe that either.

[00:48:44] No.

[00:48:44] You have to be sent.

[00:48:45] No.

[00:48:46] Yeah, you got to be sent.

[00:48:47] Hell.

[00:48:47] Exactly.

[00:48:48] That's what I believe.

[00:48:48] If all spirits are created in heaven.

[00:48:50] Let's just start there.

[00:48:51] If all life is created in heaven, right?

[00:48:54] Then you have to go...

[00:48:56] There's a middle ground, right?

[00:48:57] And I think life is the middle ground.

[00:48:59] Life, the way that you live determines whether or not you're allowed back into the heaven gate.

[00:49:05] Guys, oh, there are so many things.

[00:49:06] Let's go back to what you said earlier where...

[00:49:10] Okay, you obviously...

[00:49:11] You read John 3.16.

[00:49:14] 3.16.

[00:49:14] You know, if you believe in God, then, you know, you'll have eternal life.

[00:49:18] What about the people who never know about Jesus Christ?

[00:49:23] Do you think that there are people who will never know in this lifetime?

[00:49:28] There's another saying.

[00:49:29] You said what, Chrome?

[00:49:30] For sure.

[00:49:30] I mean, God tells our hearts.

[00:49:32] If you want to call him Jesus, call him Jesus.

[00:49:34] You want to call him God, Yahweh, whatever.

[00:49:35] He knows your heart.

[00:49:36] He can tell what's in your heart.

[00:49:38] So, I mean, we can't know if God's going to sell somebody to heaven or hell.

[00:49:41] They can live the best Christian life to us with our eyes that we see, but their heart is weak.

[00:49:45] No, I'm talking about even past Christians.

[00:49:48] I'm talking about, like, let's just say you have a Buddhist or whatever.

[00:49:50] But they never hear about, oh, Jesus.

[00:49:54] Do you think that all people eventually come to know who Jesus or hear about Jesus to have an opportunity to say yes to Jesus?

[00:50:00] So when you talk about, like, being famous or, like, you talk about, like, being successful,

[00:50:04] there's this guy who told me it's not about who you know, it's about who knows you.

[00:50:11] I think if God knows you, to your point, if God knows your heart and he sees you and he understands why you're not accepting or what you're going through,

[00:50:21] then I think God is the most forgiving.

[00:50:24] I don't think that he's going to just send you somewhere because you don't understand.

[00:50:28] He's going to try to help you understand.

[00:50:30] And that's why I said before that he'll watch you go through something.

[00:50:34] I really do.

[00:50:35] Like, I believe God knows.

[00:50:37] Like, he watches us go through this pain sometimes because he needs us to understand that he's there for us.

[00:50:43] So, okay.

[00:50:44] So do you think, do y'all think that, well, there's obviously souls that go to hell.

[00:50:50] I mean, as a Christian, that's what I believe.

[00:50:51] Yeah.

[00:50:54] So do you believe that, um, huh?

[00:51:03] Hades?

[00:51:04] I mean, there's hell, there's a lake of fire, you know what I'm saying?

[00:51:06] They said hell's going to be cast into a lake of fire, which is called the second death.

[00:51:09] But, DJ, you have said, it's like on the tip of my tongue, but you have said that, or my memory, that God knows your heart, right?

[00:51:18] Okay, but what about the people who, that's what I'm saying, do you, like, do you think people get bad because of their own decisions?

[00:51:26] No, I mean, I could have died before I got baptized.

[00:51:29] Guy, we talking about some existential.

[00:51:31] Like, I'm just saying, like, I could have never started my journey with God.

[00:51:36] I just started this year.

[00:51:37] I don't think that God would have been like, oh, because you didn't start your journey, I'm not going to work with you now.

[00:51:44] Like, on a different level, like, after I die.

[00:51:47] I don't think he did.

[00:51:49] With my understanding with God, I don't think he just going to close the door and be like, oh, you had your time on earth and you were supposed to listen to all those people that were telling you to believe in me and you didn't.

[00:51:59] I don't think he's going to.

[00:52:01] With that being said, y'all, with that being said, you know, I believe that, yes, God will, he'll make sure that everything ends up where it's supposed to be.

[00:52:15] Okay?

[00:52:16] Like, everything will end up where it's supposed to be.

[00:52:20] God doesn't make mistakes.

[00:52:22] Okay, guys, I know we have to wrap this up, but, you know, we will continue this conversation about God because we can just keep going with this.

[00:52:28] We can do that.
