[00:00:00] The stories, the journeys, the testimonies, and the spiritual detox. We have a great conversation with the one and only Mr. 2-17. What's going on, sir? What's up, man? How y'all doing? Wonderful. Listen, man. Thanks for stopping by the show. Come on now.

[00:00:40] No problem. Listen, man. We appreciate you, man. A fire's manager, a little bit of your favorite journey with the people, man. Maybe how you developed your own personal relationship with Christ.

[00:00:49] All right. You know, so, um, God was instilled in me as a child, you know, to pray, to read the Bible and stuff.

[00:00:57] But we wasn't on real church doors. We was, you know, the thanksgiving Christmas Easter family. You know what I'm saying? That's when you're going to catch us.

[00:01:04] But I did, when I did go, I did grasp onto what they were saying. And I did believe that God was real. I did believe that Jesus was real. But nobody ever disciple me. Now then I'm wrong.

[00:01:15] I can look back. I can see okay, the Spicing Airs Okay. That's what that's what was really going on. I believe I had no discipleship. So I was just, you know, saying age 14 is when I came to my own.

[00:01:27] When I came to Manhood for real for real because that's when I began making my own life decisions for some music. Doing what I wanted to do. You know, I'm saying so from 14 to 21.

[00:01:39] I was just living my own life. I was following my own way. My relationship with God was, I know I'm sitting in bed. I'm praying at the end of the day. And he's going to forgive me and wipe the sick clean.

[00:01:51] And I can do it all over again tomorrow. And as long as I asked what forgiveness before I died, I'm good. That was my mindset until at the peak of my career. Right before I was going to do the biggest deal of my life.

[00:02:04] God himself spoke to me. You know what I'm saying? He himself hurt his voice. And he opened my eyes about the music industry, about my life, about what really means to follow him. And that was 2015 and here we are, 2020 photos. So that's long story short. 2015. Yeah.

[00:02:31] Listen, I appreciate you sharing that with us. And I know for a fact that that story, it would take you probably a few days. It really tells us like the truth story. But that was good enough.

[00:02:41] I just one thing really stood out to me and it's something that we rarely hear is you mentioned discipleship. And when did that part happen? Because obviously, that made a huge difference in the journey that you're on right now.

[00:02:57] You know, for sure. They happen. They happen. Not too long after I got saved. You know what I'm saying? When I did give him a life to God, my dad really walked me through the discipleship. He told me about baptism.

[00:03:09] He started taking the church and then I started going in church. Like I wanted to go to church for the first time on life. I wanted to go.

[00:03:16] I understood the Bible. You know what I'm saying? So my dad was really the first one to disciple me and then throughout the years, I picked up different people to guide me along the way. But that's not too long after I got saved. I started getting the disciple.

[00:03:32] That's good. So what did that bonus come for you to start the disciple in the hood? Like, I get that you know, you build your faith.

[00:03:39] You build your relationship. So where did that bonus come to say, you know what? I want to make sure the same thing that I was getting in the me that I get back to the community

[00:03:48] because I'm the answer to a lot of people are selfish and they're just, you know, wrong with the only relationship. Not looking to pour back in. So where did that come from? Man, just seeing my people lost, man. I see my people lost. Seeing my people died.

[00:04:02] Seeing my people stuck in struggling. When I meet my people, there's a particular type of people that I come from. You know, I'm a little polished now. You know what I'm saying? I don't got my speech in. You know, my look is together.

[00:04:13] But I'm from a very dirty place. You're going to stand like the people when I say my people. Sexy raised is my people. You feel me, that's what I'm from.

[00:04:23] You know, I'm saying it. And I used to be just like that. You know, and I'm trying to see my people having candlelight visuals. You know, I don't know what's coming after the afterlife. I'm trying to see them pray to the universe.

[00:04:36] I'm trying to see people that look in at me or how I used to act and where I come from just lost. And what really did it was when I was at church one day, they were singing out.

[00:04:48] They was raising like a quarter million dollars to seeing, I don't quote me on the amount. But it was a very large amount of money to send people out of the country to go witness. You know, and nothing wrong with that.

[00:05:03] But I was like, bro, it's people here. Like down the street, bro. And we don't, you know, we don't even got a strong presence like that in the community.

[00:05:11] And we raised the money to send people to Asia and China, which is biblical, which is what we supposed to do. But I don't think that's supposed to proceed our community first.

[00:05:22] You know what I'm saying? So I said, bro, I'm gonna do it. You family, I'm gonna do it. And that's where that came from. Wow. Have you gotten any kickback? You know, like the people who saw the change in you, especially being so young.

[00:05:37] Like, was where people on your team and they were like, no, this is a good thing for you or whatever they like, right here in my shirt mine. No, first and first and first initially because when I got saved, this is my peak of my career.

[00:05:49] I feel here by I'm quitting producing. You know, I'm saying, yeah, they thought lots of my mind because I had everything that you want in life. I worked so hard, me and my manager worked. I'm talking about real deal of blood, sweat and tears.

[00:06:00] No exaggeration is blood and sweat and tears behind my career. You know what I was in the world. So overnight say that you're not gonna do it no more.

[00:06:09] Yeah, you know what I said? I had people on top of my head when I hurt me. You feel me because they think I'm playing games. Okay, I'm trying to finance. They think I'm trying to sign somebody else. No, I've really didn't.

[00:06:20] Guys, both of me, I can't do this no more. You know what I'm saying? So it was very rough man. Yeah, I had three. I had all type of stuff on me. You know what I'm saying?

[00:06:28] It was rough the first couple months but when people see me like really doing it, that was like dang, he must be too good. When they see the fruit of it. And me doing it year after year after year, that's when they okay for show.

[00:06:42] And far as my friends you know, they was always like, all my friends with celebrities. You feel like there's any bangs before he really grew up. Like he's a before she blew up.

[00:06:52] You know what I'm saying? Like all these people, those are like people who are called my real deal of friends. And you know, there was always down for me but eventually our paths just start to slowly just go different ways.

[00:07:05] So that's what happened. You know, nothing will bad blood amongst my friends. No, I'm saying, but just as I progress with my guidance, our paths just slowly don't intersect normal. So yeah, that's what really happened.

[00:07:17] Was that a challenge for you though? Since you were so close to them. Yeah, I know you mentioned Desi Banks and I can't keep like was that a challenge for you?

[00:07:24] Because to your point, you grew up with them and in the circle with them, did you kind of feel like, you know, a responsibility to kind of take them with you? Um, not really. You know what I'm saying?

[00:07:37] I share my heart to them and what I was doing. And after that, you know what I'm saying? I just did my thing. I mean Desi, we was really good at cool and first he was actually, you know what I'm saying?

[00:07:48] Further along in the faith, then I was. He was really my first friend in the faith. You know, he was telling me about God and this and that. You know, I'm saying that you're going to say it. But um, no, I didn't feel any responsibility.

[00:08:01] My only responsibility I feel, I'm not so my peers, it's a witness to them. But every person I interact with, I witness to them. I witness to two things. I witness to little punk. I witness to bankroll flash.

[00:08:12] I've written it to every person in my village. Every person I come across. I have that one obligation to witness to them. That's my obligation, whether they come or not. That's not me, but I can watch my hands and say,

[00:08:24] I told them. And that's how I treat everybody. Just to give God put them on heart to tell them. I mean, through trans, have an hour long conversation about why I can't be his, why I can't produce this music alone. And he was, he didn't understand.

[00:08:36] And I had to break it down, bro. You know, I can't do this because the Bible says this, this and that. And we had an hour long debate, you know what I'm saying? And we just agreed to disagree on certain things.

[00:08:46] Yeah. You know, so I'm not obligated if they come now by him, I obligated to tell them in these ones. That's how I feel. That's good. I was going to be like, I said that type of a model is once.

[00:09:00] Yeah. Like standing on business, you know, if you change your life and they don't want to make the music that fits your beats. Yeah. And if you know, I imagine you're saying DJ focused on his gamble.

[00:09:12] So come on, sir. Talk about how you got into production in the first place. I mean, what? 14, 15 years old starting to produce, starting to be artists. Like talk about that, what inspired you to even do production. Being artists, you know, talk about that a little bit.

[00:09:27] And in 14, I hop in the street. Start producing though in 12. It's 12 years old. That's when I started producing. And what got me into that was being the marching band. You know, I was playing music instruments ever since I was 90 years old.

[00:09:42] So my step brother played through FL studio. That's a production software. My computer when I was 12 and it's summer 2006. And once I found out there was something because I used to just seeing your home different little stuff.

[00:09:55] And once I found out that I could put what's in my head on the computer, That's when I started making beats like, oh man, I can actually put what's in my head into real life. So I was man, that's when I started man.

[00:10:08] And I used to remake soldier boy beats like soldier boy, little John. That was my biggest influence is when I first started. You feel me? So that's where I real. Defa whale. Crime on the whole sound is when I start producing.

[00:10:22] And that's why people like my sound because it's still sound like that, you know? Okay, okay, Mr. 2017. I have some questions for you bro. Like, it's been an honor having you on here hearing about your ministry. Like I said, shout out to all things.

[00:10:37] ATL. I'm very biased of it. Lanna on the show. Where I started my ministry. So I know the need is there. You know what I mean? And you, I'm glad you called that out too.

[00:10:48] You know what I mean? Like we should definitely be in our own community first. I think really sharing that gospel. But I want to talk about the music like, what is this new project that you have? All right. So I just dropped something.

[00:11:02] I just, I just dropped the single, you know, I said, real fast thing called Jesus loves me, remakes other, you know, the nursery rhyme. We really don't be everybody like that on social media. And then I just dropped the instrument on the album called Stock Sounds Only.

[00:11:15] Basically, showcasing what I can do with the default sounds on FL Studio. And it's got social media going up right now. You know, so I started putting out instruments only because you know, I didn't want any rappers. You know, messing up the beat or whatever.

[00:11:32] So I started putting out instruments out by themselves. And me and God have been blessing them like, I'm an instrumental. They're like 100 million views on TikTok. And they pay me very nicely for that. You know, I'm saying so,

[00:11:44] to all the young people out there produces whatever you don't have to go to the traditional route of getting rappers through rapping and stuff, man, with social media, instrumental can make income for you and your family.

[00:11:56] You know, you just got to promote your right. So that's when I'm on right now. Man, yes, Jesus does love us. First of all, shout out to you for doing the instrumental thing. One of the things we're talking about right now is quality.

[00:12:11] And so I really appreciate that you know about quality and what that looks like. Like, had you ever gotten any like kick back from your music kind of sounding not like the world, but you know what I'm saying? Sounded to street or anything like that. Nothing.

[00:12:29] If anything, I would be my own creator. You know what I mean? You know what I mean? Sometimes I feel like, okay, maybe man. Maybe this song is a little too term though. Maybe you know what I mean? I'm not being discreet.

[00:12:42] No one has ever come up with anything. Yeah, no one has ever came to me and said, man, your music sound like this. Because one thing about the literal content is going to be there. Yeah.

[00:12:52] And but far as it sounds, you know, sometimes I just look, I reflect on some of my shows and stuff. And you know, sometimes I'm critical of myself, okay, dang.

[00:13:03] I'm bringing even though that young people, you know, but sometimes I'm like, dang, I'm bringing in these dancers from the, and they doing dances that you know, trendy current dances and I'm bringing it into the church.

[00:13:15] Sometimes I'd be questioning myself about that, okay, was that the best thing to do to bring a dance crew and they doing these dances out, they're going to be out and street bringing it to the church. So I'm very critical about my own art.

[00:13:27] And you know, I do make adjustments as I go. But as far as, you know, as anybody told me anything, no, you know, seeing, I critique myself before anybody else can, you know, so. No, I love that.

[00:13:38] Where do you think the state of Christian hip hop is right now? You know, as far as C.A. takes the genre like D. field, like we are at that spot where we can be heard, like,

[00:13:50] like, like, sonically or like across the board are we sounding good, you know, art of bars there, you know what I'm saying? Like, what do you think or what has been your feedback? Like from your community.

[00:14:02] My feedback is man that young people running in now, you know what I'm saying? Far as 100 Brown scene, far as social media these new songs, like all these new artists, like, you know, young people is running in, you know, of course you got people like the crazy stuff,

[00:14:14] but they solidified, you know, and you know, but, um, I'm really not really too much in tune, you know what I'm saying with the C.A.Trade scene.

[00:14:23] Yes, um, yeah, I'm really not too much in tune but far as what I see is young people running in now. Um, but the music is good, man. I like people like Hover, he makes some good music. One case he was my personal friend.

[00:14:36] They make some good music, man. We all make some good music, you know, and they got audiences, you know, a trend is on, so definitely in the place where we being seen her, you know. That's good. That's good.

[00:14:49] Now listen, I know, you can get a chance to share all of your backstory with this. Um, but I do know that you have gone through some things that have, you know, challenged you mentally,

[00:14:59] and you've had to fight to stay strong and to stay focused on your ministry and the call that God has on your life. Um, do you have any tips for a person who, um, needs to stay on the path? Like they know they should be doing it.

[00:15:17] But, you know, you know, how it is like, it's very easy to fall out of it or maybe guests that you're doing the wrong thing. Um, but do you, yeah, you got anything you speak to?

[00:15:26] Because like concerned in that, anyway, they encourage people out there who were there like, I think I should go this way, but I don't know. Um, the big thing to help me is to stay around people stronger than me and more matured and take for me.

[00:15:39] You know, I'm saying, um, I got a man and I've been like this, I was in the street. It was in the street and I'll be 20 years old hanging around with 30 year old people.

[00:15:48] You know I'm saying, uh, I used to, you know, that's just how I always was. I hung around all the crowd. So even in the streets, I'm the one, you know, I'm saying that, you know,

[00:15:59] they, the dope was pouring into me because I see, okay, he knows something. Now like these other kids, I've always had a mental, at least 15 years old me. Ever since I remember and when I was doing that, I gave him a lot to kind of the same thing.

[00:16:14] I have many mentors. So stay around people that are stronger than even the faith. If you go through something, be, um, be open to tell people your problems and just trusting God, man. And just know that, um, you know, I used to work for cripple dollars.

[00:16:30] You run a social media page. One thing, a cripple dollar, he used to say, all the time, we're on the journey. Um, and everybody, you know, you're going to run out of gas on the journey. You might get a flat tire. You might need your battery change.

[00:16:41] You know what I'm saying? We're on the journey. There's no need. You know, just have a great swing of stuff like there's going to be time periods where you fall, get stuck, and get lost. Just know that guy is even doing it and guys got your back.

[00:16:51] So yeah, that's why I came to somebody. That's good. That's good. Okay, one more question for I get you out of here. If you could pick three producers, dead or alive, who would you work with? Who would they be? Peryl, uh,

[00:17:07] type of the creator, um, and let's see, um, and Kanye West. Woo hoo hoo hoo hoo. That's what's up, listen, uh, we got to grab her. Listen, we've been killing it here today. Hopefully you guys took some notes. Um, thank you, Mr. 217 for dropping all your wisdom.

[00:17:28] Like y'all make sure y'all are following him on all of his social media platforms and, do me a favor. I'd like to people know where they can follow you, where they can support you. Um, you're watching 17. You can follow me at 2017, ATL on Instagram, take talk.

[00:17:43] My um, YouTube is Mr. 217 official. And yeah, man, uh, Jesus love me. It's my new single. Stock sounds only as my new instrument. I'm y'all gonna go stream on all platforms. Real conversations from real imperfect people in pursuit of a perfect God.

[00:18:00] Let's jump into today's real talk topic. Time for that real talk conversation, Dyson, uh, you want to talk about it, huh? Decision, huh? Yeah, exception. Are you, are you deceiving yourself? Okay. I mean, some, some people out there are professional

[00:18:17] deceivers of others, you know, running ponds, e-scams, and peer-to-scams. Ooh. Oh, kind of scams, you know, very, very helpful in everything. You know, you know, you can deceive yourself, um, you know, especially when it comes to our faith, you know? And this has been going on for years.

[00:18:38] You know, this is not something new. People have been deceiving themselves, and the Bible has been very clear to call, that out. And this is a bit of a challenging situation, because I think this keeps people from God. I think this keeps people from salvation just,

[00:18:58] um, people who profess to be one thing, but present as another thing. And we have a very strong story in the Bible of, you know, the Whithering of the Fig tree. You know, I thought that was one of the most dugout things that Jesus ever did.

[00:19:13] Was, you know, hey, listen, we've been on a long journey. Me and my crew here, you know? I'm God's son. I'm talking like trash. It was a fig tree over there, and it has leaves that makes it look like there's fruit.

[00:19:25] Now when they roll up on it, ain't no fruit. None. Hmm. So you look fruitful, but you have no fruit. Hmm. Yeah, so this is when you with a way and die, and you don't even get opportunity to fruit again. And so I love that story,

[00:19:43] even though it's a harsh one, and some people like me, and Jesus will mean, no. He's just saying when the son of God walks in the room, and you should have fruit, or you want to pop your leaves out, like you have some fruit, but you don't.

[00:19:57] You got the right one. You got the right one today. Yeah. Just like, you're gonna quit playing with God. Like, one way or the other. You know what I'm saying? And you might miss your opportunity, and um, we talk about all the time of hearing our first met.

[00:20:13] My husband, he was in line at a convenient store one day, and there was a couple of argue, and you know, and they were going back and forth, and um, one guy, I think he wanted to buy some lottery tickets or something,

[00:20:25] but they didn't come to the store for that. And so when Elzia got back at the car, he was like, he was cracking up, because he's like, the ladies, like, don't you block my fimble lesson? But I'm not, but I never forget that story, because it is,

[00:20:41] it is that energy. It's with that energy that I feel. I don't want to deceive myself. Like, dice it out the way. Because you're going to block your blessing. You know, you're over here acting. This type of way, but you know, that isn't this.

[00:20:54] You know what I'm saying? So, um, yeah, we got to talk about it today. Like, don't be a deceiver of yourself. You know, it's personally for those of you on this weight loss journey, or this health journey would, you know, and you act and like, no,

[00:21:05] I'm, hey, I'm taking care of myself every day. It's like, okay. But you know, you even crispy-creening 12 of them a day, and then you get to a doctor like, why? Why am I cholesterol-jected up with my sugar so high?

[00:21:16] You know, yeah, you maybe you are going to the gym every day, but you can't, you can't go ahead and sit on that 12 pack of donuts and then go to bed every night. You're just even yourself. So. No, my goodness.

[00:21:28] You had to bring this down to stuff, huh? You just had to bring that. I know about the sweetness. I know about the sweetness. I know about the sweetness. It's rough. It's rough. I don't know if you ever see me at hell,

[00:21:39] it was probably because of a donut. Okay. Ah, the donut made me do it. That's the biggest only way, bro. No, you talk about the real donut. I think a lot of times, we can call that sweet. You talk about it.

[00:21:52] And I know that that's why I tell everybody I'm like, you know, a parent's personality and what that looks like in, yeah, which of sweets and and stumbling. And I'm with you on that because I have sweet tooth to as well. Right. I have to guard myself.

[00:22:06] But I think, you know, this topic is different because it, you know, when you talk about deception and you talk about the seeping yourself and putting on, you know, almost like a facade and acting like you're something that should not.

[00:22:19] You know, we shouldn't be doing this as believers. And I know you shouldn't. Can you wear it? Should not. You should not be doing it. But we know a lot of people are. Let's be very clear.

[00:22:32] The social media has deceived us dice and it has a lot of people deceiving others. Yeah, but no, don't try to go there. See, this is new. I help in these faithless Christians right now. Don't do that. I'm telling the truth. It has. But that's called a flag.

[00:22:48] That's called deflection and not owning. I'll be ruined. I know why they get in the past today. So if you came here today, I give them no past. I give them no past. Nobody can get in the past.

[00:22:58] What I'm saying is a lot of us are using our social media platform. And deceiving others as well as ourselves because we're putting on business. You're right. If this facade and acting like you're something that's your heart. So that's all I'm saying. No, no, no, no, no.

[00:23:12] Nobody off the hook. Listen, listen, you know our tag. The smoke is for everybody. Let's be. Let's sleep the smoke is for everybody. They move dice to myself. Again, they keep dice to myself. So no, no, we didn't let them off the hook.

[00:23:24] But I think people get caught up with this, you know, this vanity dice. I know I'm bringing it up a lot. But people call that social media and that is such an advantage. And always want to put yourself out there.

[00:23:36] And all need the good moments not to, you know, when you're struggling and you have the mental ill breakdown or you know, when things is bad and your money ain't, you know, you know, like it should be. And you did a little some strange for some change.

[00:23:49] I thought you all the steal. Yeah, do a little some strange for some change. So how to say it? You know, it's all of deception. That's all I've said. I just all have said that it's all a deception.

[00:23:59] And if you don't know, you know, the truth from a lie, you know, you can go for it. I guess I'm not bad about the strange change if you marry. That's where ain't that no one do for some change for my husband. I promise to. Wow.

[00:24:15] Like, I'm just saying like, you know, I'm just saying, you know, like, it's different in this favor. But here's the deal. But for y'all, I mean, Mary, y'all don't even do none strange. I was going to put it out there. This is good though. The don't deceive yourself.

[00:24:28] I was earlier when I was saying, like, don't let these people off the hood because a lot of people try to blame other people for this. That's why I'm saying like, you know, maybe blaming other people for the stuff they do and it's like,

[00:24:38] you have every right and nobody put a gun to your head that you didn't have to go over there to that house or you didn't have to do that or drink that or smoke that. You know how to do that? No way.

[00:24:45] Not what he made you do anything. And you need to own a job. You know, you need to own a job. You need to own a job. You need to own a job. You need to own a job. You need to own a job.

[00:24:53] You need to own a job. You need to own a job. You need to own that. And so, yeah, like, come on now. If you live in this mindset of somebody else's controlling you, your liar. And that's just what we're going to get into today. And guess what?

[00:25:09] Liers are not going to be in some of these places that people who don't lie will be. I'm just... Not that for real. I'm just telling you, Jeremiah nine and six says, hey, you live in the midst of deception. Okay?

[00:25:22] In their deceit, they refuse to acknowledge me, declares the Lord. And so here's a deal. When we don't acknowledge the Lord, we're going to hell. Okay? So that's just...we don't have...there's no way around this.

[00:25:32] And even for the fake preachers and the fake prep pastors and the fake worships and the fake apostles and the fake people sit there and know it in the fake profit. The fake ones out here. Y'all been fake in five thousand years in second Corinthians 11th, 13 says,

[00:25:47] such people are false prophets to seek for workers, masquerading as a apostle of Christ. You will not see the kingdom. So you can run around here and get your little piece of change while you're here on earth.

[00:25:57] And think you've got a word to install a lot of somebody's YouTube and you want to do it on Sunday and remix it. But God sees it all. And so...yes, the Bible is very clear. Like, you...you're not going to make it. Okay?

[00:26:12] And we've added to rid ourselves of all malice and all deceit hypocrisy. It envy and slander of every single kind. So when we talk about people, talking trash, we're being hypocrites, not doing the things we're called to do.

[00:26:24] We're in the end of the people who get blessed and we're speaking evil upon people as they're getting blessed and being very deceitful and deceptive. First Peter 2nd chapter in one. That's where that comes from.

[00:26:36] Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and of all deceit hypocrisy and being a slander of every kind. We're called to stop doing this mess. We've been doing it for years. That's why it's in the Bible. It's in there because people are acting this way thousands of years ago.

[00:26:51] And we have to stop. That's the point. Don't be a deceiver of yourself. Like, you ain't lying to nobody, but God. And God sees it all so you really not lying to him. So...yes. Yeah. It's crazy because people are liars.

[00:27:03] You typically, everybody else knows they are liars, but they really think they're getting away with something and they not. That's because they slick. They think they slick and they ain't slick and can't. You can't out slick God and you ain't wise of God.

[00:27:15] And you brought up, oh my goodness. I know you go open this thing today. You talk to God, listen. False, or I fit. False creatures. Repent, listen. I'm just listening. I'm just listening. But give me. I just started all in my spirit like self-session.

[00:27:30] And can handle true repentance. You know, y'all know y'all I had done this stuff. Well, thank you right, church. And let's go home. So some faith chapter and sixth says, this is the song we're going to find the God. We're fine, God here.

[00:27:45] You destroy all those who tell lies. The blood thirsty and the deceit will you. Lord, you detest them. Yes, you like God. God tests the liars and the deceit for people. And it's unfortunate that people think you can lie and give somebody a prophecy.

[00:28:02] Like that is probably one of the most disrespectful things other than saying, It's your baby in an eight. It's like, oh, yeah, you know how these women, they know that ain't the baby daddy, but they'll tell it. They'll tell that baby daddy.

[00:28:15] That's the baby, you know, and some sense same thing. You give somebody a false prophecy because now they're believing that you heard from God, but you didn't. And you just making up stuff and you trying to speak stuff in today life that ain't so,

[00:28:28] you can literally make a person misguide by giving them a false prophecy. Just to make them feel good, don't make them feel good. Just be like listen, I haven't heard from the Lord. I don't have a word for you.

[00:28:40] I'll be praying for you and as soon as God reveals to me which direction you should take. I will let you know. But don't sit here and say, yeah, I believe you should go ahead and buy that new boat and travel

[00:28:50] the world and quit your job and take your six kids, which you and just because you want to see a person happy or you just want to don't want to get called onto the carpet and you don't have a word or you know,

[00:29:00] or somebody's still to see it in your hand and you feel like you gotta just tell them something. No, if the Lord and lead you to give them a word, they just tell them, sorry, I don't have a word. Lord is not spoken to me, you know?

[00:29:11] Yeah, I don't. And I'm praying for you. And then that person will honor, they'll be happy or to know that God hates sending that yet. Then for you to lead them the wrong way.

[00:29:19] So that's what I mean, we gotta stop really deceive and people and pray that, you know, Lord really bridles our tongue from being deceptive and practicing deceit and, you know, just giving out false words. So it's just something we should pray for, you know, I'm saying,

[00:29:39] and we should pray to be rescued from those who are deceitful and wicked, like Psalm 43 and one says, vindicate me. My God, and plead my cause against an unfavorable nation, rescue me from all of those who are deceitful and wicked. Like there are, what do you call it?

[00:29:58] These spirits that do work against us, and I know we pray all the time and it has God to give us things, but sometimes we need to pray and it has God to keep us from things. Like keep me from those who don't mean me any good.

[00:30:11] You don't say, keep me from those who will stand up my name, keep me from those who want to take from me. Keep me from those who, you know, they just said me, like move them out of my team.

[00:30:20] You don't say, like, pray against the wickedness, like we have the power of life and death in our tongue. We need to use it. That's what I'm saying. Just having this real talk conversation day on, you know, deception. Are you deceiving yourself?

[00:30:33] And I think a lot of people, you know, examine their motives and then take this behind the actions. Excited, yeah. I'm tired of y'all, joke as man. Y'all, y'all, y'all are here just...

[00:30:44] No, no, I don't know what you're scared for. You won't scare when you are deceiving people and you are here deceiving yourself and putting out this false narrative of whatever it is. So, yeah, I think we need to get, you know, better and make sure, you know,

[00:31:00] So, to think about, you know, understanding God, understanding God's system is that God always operates in truth and love. Truth and love. Those are the things I always think about when I think about God's system. Okay, truth and love.

[00:31:16] Okay, I said all the time, you know, you bring it up to us well, guys. Great example you talked about when you have a conversation with somebody and maybe, you know, some people are using God's name. The wrong way is saying, God gave me a word.

[00:31:31] No, no, that was just human or filings or however you want to give that example to that person. I'm very, very careful when I say, God told me to tell you something or God gave me a word. I take that very seriously.

[00:31:45] I actually prayed two or three times and make sure God tells me, multiple times before I even speak it over somebody or myself. So I think a lot of times, yeah, examine your motives and understand in that. Yes, you need to get yourself together.

[00:31:59] You can't just be out here. Not only putting on for yourself and deceiving people doing it, but also just being, you know, treat yourself. So yeah, examine your motives. Why are you doing it? You trying to keep up with the challenges?

[00:32:12] You trying to, I don't know, be famous. I don't know, you know, again, we in entertainment dice. So we see a lot of different things and yeah, shout out to Y'all because we watch all pages just like y'all watches ours

[00:32:24] and dice to bring it up every now and then to as well, like wait a minute. So make something lighten up. Two months ago, two weeks ago, and when like that so I agree. I think examining motives that will help you to really not deceive yourself,

[00:32:44] but also not deceive others. And yeah, that pride thing, I want to bring up the danger of pride. I think a lot of people are deceiving themselves because they're so prideful and they don't wanna come off there. Whatever it is that has been, whatever it is.

[00:32:58] You know, that self deception blinding, blinding them. Yeah, because it's like, it's just different for each person. Like you say it's different. So whatever that thing is that, that self deception and it's blinding, your relationship with God, that's blinding, you being conscious of what you're doing

[00:33:16] and what that represents, come on off that thing, that how it works, come on off of it. Yeah, come on off that high horse and make no mistake that deceives go to hell with the devil. Okay, so if you were trying to figure out,

[00:33:31] change it like that, we're gonna just change it off the day. This is where you going and I remember the right is, it's true. Charleston, God. Like we laughed at all those songs, you know, I can't say laugh,

[00:33:44] but we're just was like, man, why do we have to hear this song? Like our church used to drag that song. Number, the right, and you can't. Number, the right, like they could've, like you just like we get it, we get it, number the righteous.

[00:34:02] But Timothy, let's really spell this out, talking about all evil men and imposters will grow worse and worse. You know, the deceiving is going to increase. Second, that's Loneans chapter two, eight, the 12 says, and then the lawless one will be revealed.

[00:34:18] Come the Lord, Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. Okay, the coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all the power and false signs and wonders

[00:34:32] and with all the wicked deception for those who are perishing because they refuse to love the truth and refuse to be saved. Therefore, God sends them a strong delusion so that they may believe what is false in order that all may be condemned

[00:34:46] who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in all this unrighteousness. So God will turn you over to a reprobate mind. Meaning, you can continue to keep thinking your lies and your untruth and your deceit is serving you and others

[00:35:01] and the Lord will let your mind believe that. That's what you can meet some people in the counselors know. Like they'll come in there and they're absolutely, they have cognitive, cognitive dissonance because they're not in reality and the truth is the Lord has just turned them over

[00:35:15] and say, okay, well if you want to be over there we're Satan doing all that evil and really to see even people go in because all y'all are gonna be wrapped up in a breath, the Bible says, clearly one breath from Jesus Christ, this breath, this over

[00:35:28] and you're going to the place that was designed for the enemy. So it's like, well how play yourself like that and then here's the deal. If you don't want to be deceived, stop deceived people. Like, you know how it feels to be lied on,

[00:35:43] to be cheated, to be stolen from, to be talked about, to be treated unfairly. You know that? You know how that feels, you understand? And we're called to stop doing that and definitely call to stop being false prophets. Obviously Matthew knew that 2424

[00:35:57] for false prophets, for false Christ and false prophets. Ooh, we'll arise and perform great signs and wonders so as to lead people to us tray. You know, this is a thing that is gonna happen, but you know, that's why I said, false pastors preachers, apostles,

[00:36:13] bishops, teachers like, they exist. We see this and that's why we have to pray and be fully aware and tap them to the Holy Spirit. So we can avoid being deceived. So you know, the goal is to not walk into sea but guess what?

[00:36:29] We got to not deceive ourselves first. We got to get real where ourselves focused. I thought we were going to talk about finances, you and your wife, how you guys shut that down. You got a second job.

[00:36:37] They had to come a point where you had to stop lying to yourself. Thanks. Oh, we thought we was rich but we not. They think over here. I remember my husband one day he made a comment he said, we blackred. I said, I don't want to be blackred.

[00:36:54] He was very clear. I was like, what is that? We blackred. That's good. Blackred. And I was like, how would it be wealthy? Like, I don't want to stop at blackred. You know what I'm saying? You know what he was just saying how black people are?

[00:37:08] What do they want? They want a car, anyone else. You know, like this typically where it stopped, little clothes on, you know, little Nike's. You know what I'm saying? And I was like, I don't want to be blackred. But I was like, bro, I needed him to stop

[00:37:21] to see him and his self thinking. His wife was okay with being blackred. I was like, no, no, no. I don't want you to think this is where we stop, brother. We got to take it to the next level.

[00:37:31] And so we have to get real with ourselves first. That was the whole point of this conversation. Us not deceiving ourselves and ultimately it's called a lie. So we're being nice by saying being deceitful or deceptful, you know, whatever but walking in the deception.

[00:37:48] But it's really, it's a lie. It's a lie. So we got to stop. It is a lie. That's a lie. This is a stop lie, man. And this Christian, who sent me lying at all? Tell the truth and get free. Tell the truth and shame to devil.

[00:38:00] That's what my grandma needs to say out of time. Tell the truth and shame to devil. Just tell the truth. Some of them got to get help, die. So what we get out of here, we got to know, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

[00:38:09] I'm not. Somebody, somebody, somebody missed ice gamble. Cash at me. I just helped a lot of y'all get free. Hashtag, the fix radio show because you've just got free today. Tell the truth. The kid told something for Christmas. My madaddy, I want to get a new place station.

[00:38:26] We don't have it. Pick something else. My madaddy, I want to go to trip. I want to go on my high school trip to Spain with the resident. We don't have it either. Go get a job or pick something else. I'll pay for you to go to Florida.

[00:38:40] Like stop lying. Stop acting like you got your life together. And if you same thing with ministry and shout out to Pastor Sharon, when we were to Quest, like the one time I was my head was all over the place and I messed up my words on stage

[00:38:52] and she said be where you are. And if you ain't here, don't come back to 1130 service. Oh no. Oh no. She said when you get to work, and it's okay. It's okay. But when you out here, minister and to people

[00:39:05] you're worshiping God in front of thousands of people, you don't get to act like your life is okay and it ain't because God will expose you to kind of how that just happened when you forgot your words.

[00:39:15] So she said, hey, if you need to just not do 1130 service, that's fine. But she was trying to tell me, don't deceive myself. And if I didn't have my head in the game and my spirit, don't come out here for the guys.

[00:39:25] People act like I am okay, you're not okay. So just say that. That's all I'm gonna say. Like hashtag, that was some nice gamble of cash. Because I'm telling you, the minute that you finally stop deceiving yourself, you'll see how the enemy is deceiving other people.

[00:39:43] You'll see and you be like, man, yeah, Christ died for us to be free. I'm saying all of the freedoms and the freedom from being a liar. You know, just be honest. Because I'm trying to take your blessing as an honesty.

[00:39:55] That's probably how my whole ministry has started. And focus, you know, I think I'm a little too honest at this point. But I just say what it is where I am, what I did and people respected, they're like, man, thanks for letting me know. Mm-hmm. Well, that's it.

[00:40:09] And it gives me a lot of people free to as well. A lot of people are holding things back and they wish they could be had the freedom that you have. But I think, but I was gonna say that add on to everything. You see it great, everything.

[00:40:20] Listen, that's real. Listen, you heard it got a sign. It's nice gamble, that's not the thing. The fix rodeo show, but hey, yeah. Some of them need therapy though, dice. And whether they be spiritual counsel or where they need it. They're pretty good in a clinician.

[00:40:34] Like, it's okay because a lot of them toxic relationships from childhood that they saw deception all the time. They think it's normal. They think it's okay to do this and act this way. They've been doing it for the last 25 years. So they can't understand change.

[00:40:49] So some of y'all might need to just go get some extra help. That's all I was saying. Hopefully don't overlook the mental health things under being deceptive and deceiving yourself and having this facade and listen, you know, we know there's a lot to go into that.

[00:41:03] So again, we push mental health here to his way of spiritual health. Spiritual health, but also if you need to go pass, if you just go into the life classes and not even enough and you're going to sit in the world and not even enough,

[00:41:16] it's okay to make that appointment to his women go see what their therapist and that's all things out. Way to not be deceptive. That's the good way to not deceive yourself as well. I can like you don't need help.

[00:41:26] Like if you know you jacked up and you do need help, go get the help. Yeah, that's real. Yeah, we ain't going one away from it. We know that's always been a thing that we don't talk about within a black culture.

[00:41:37] You know, nobody wants to go talk to a therapist. No, no, no. They might need to go talk to them. Me too. So anybody yourself? Yeah. Yeah, I'm trying to figure out to my own. So I started y'all, they think y'all know it all.

[00:41:48] I don't know it all. I ain't going to act like I know it all. And I'm going to try. Yeah, I'm going to be the best version of myself but sometimes that requires me to sit down with somebody again who could talk beyond the edge.

[00:42:00] A lot of people think that having a relationship without is impossible, but it is very, very possible. And if you've ever wondered what it means to be saved or to not just be religious, but to have a relationship. Well, today is your day.

[00:42:14] And we do know that Bible says in Romans 3 and 23, all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. And the wages of sin are death. That's why God showed us his great love and sin his son, Jesus who did die for our sins.

[00:42:31] And the only thing we have to do is know that we are worthy of salvation. And to really, really ask God to come into our heart and this is a simple prayer that you can say, Heavenly Father, I thank you, Lord.

[00:42:44] And I just want to admit that I am a sinner. And I repent of my sins, like Lord forgive me of my sins. Those known and unknown, but I truly believe that you died on the cross for my sins,

[00:42:56] for my sins, and you rose on the third day. And I want to walk hand in hand with you for the rest of my life. And I want to ask you to come into my heart right now. I'm confessing with my mouth that I do believe

[00:43:09] and I want to be saved. And so Father, please forgive me. And I just commit my life to you, Lord. And I trust and I believe in your son, Jesus name, that I'm saved right now, Lord. And I thank you. And it's just that simple one.

[00:43:24] Listen, this is the beginning stages of you walk in hand and hand with Christ. And if you pray that prayer, just know God heard you. And Lord is here with you right now. So you definitely should get in a community of believers.

[00:43:39] Hopefully you have a Bible believe in church that maybe you could go to. And if not, there are many communities online and definitely probably in your area. And listen, you're on the path. You're on the path. So it's when and whens day.

[00:43:54] And that's how we win is definitely by living a life for Christ and walking with the Lord. Absolutely. Absolutely. That's true. You get into a Bible-based church to the way I'm going to start growing. And into some life class, and into a great recovery.

[00:44:08] Do what you need to do. We've got to put the work in you. This is just start. It could be good. It could graduate, and it's very even making that step. So yeah. Absolutely. It's going down. It's going down. Yeah.

[00:44:21] All right, John, we got to get out of here. We love you. We pray you all enjoyed that real talk conversation. I know. You don't have to go to church on that deception. So I thought they were fighting who are the sea people. We need to listen.

[00:44:32] It's the right. It's the right. It's the right. Now get right. Get right. Get right church. That's what I was going to say. And definitely shout out to our brother, 2017 on the track. Make sure you go follow him. He has done some powerful things in the community.

[00:44:47] Speaking up for gun violence, really being an activist in the community to get the community back with the youth and power men. And just really trying to do some different things. And listen, he's going to get him a ground me one day too as well.

[00:44:59] He produces for some of your favorites, whether it be on the mainstream plus he making dope news if it was well for the Lord. So we appreciate two, seven, 10 coming through today. As always, remember to stay focused on turning it negative into a positive.

[00:45:12] Jesus Christ is always the answer. King of my vans must always be the go. Pictures in. We out. Peace out.
