[00:00:40] The beautiful thing about our genre, our little small subgenre,

[00:00:43] we have a little bit of everything.

[00:00:45] But of course, when I can hear somebody who has the authentic hip hop sound,

[00:00:51] has cadence, has metaphors that can just really double entendres.

[00:00:55] It just really make you think like, dang, I had to pull something out

[00:00:58] and look a word up in the dictionary today.

[00:01:00] I actually learned something today at this artist.

[00:01:03] He does that with a lot of his bars and he makes it sound good

[00:01:07] over any type of beat.

[00:01:43] because I felt like that was time for God to kind of situate me

[00:01:48] to make sure I was in the right here space, make sure I was

[00:01:51] in the right heart space.

[00:01:52] But more than anything, I mean, if you for the Dragon Ball Z heads

[00:01:56] out there, I was in the Hyperbole Chamber, man.

[00:01:58] I was charging up the whole time.

[00:02:00] I think that's what that was just like they loaded and then

[00:02:04] it was finally time to say something.

[00:02:06] I feel like I got the green light at that point and now I'm back.

[00:02:10] What's that one thing that God kind of showed you when

[00:02:13] you little break?

[00:02:13] You know, because I know you in your word, you study

[00:02:16] and you know family you devoted like what's that one thing

[00:02:19] that maybe you didn't know that he kind of showed you in your

[00:02:22] little break?

[00:02:24] Yeah, God gave me in 2020, Stuart.

[00:02:27] Well, those were the two's words that he gave me Stuart.

[00:02:30] Well, and you know, I was thinking when I jumped out doing

[00:02:33] music full time, I was like, yeah, that means just make sure

[00:02:36] your books are straight and make sure you're marketing well

[00:02:39] and all that.

[00:02:40] He was like, nah, nah, like the gifts I gave you like the

[00:02:42] ones that are given without repentance like that looks like

[00:02:46] that looks like your wife.

[00:02:47] That looks like your children.

[00:02:48] That looks like the things that are placed in front of you.

[00:02:52] And so, um, yeah, definitely in that season I learned how to

[00:02:56] Stuart well be a better Stuart over what I got.

[00:03:06] distant Stuart well and if you want to share a little

[00:03:13] was going to the the Graham and showing us all these

[00:03:16] weight and I'm like, oh, here you go again.

[00:03:18] I had a little jealous spirit like Lord, why you keep

[00:03:21] taking 40 50 pounds off him and I keep looking in the

[00:03:24] mirror and ain't nothing moving.

[00:03:25] So just just just walk about that man.

[00:03:27] What what inspired you man to even really take your

[00:03:30] temple really serious and say, you know what?

[00:03:33] I want to get this weight off.

[00:03:35] Yeah, nah, to keep it simple man.

[00:03:37] I was sitting at the in the front level of the crib one

[00:03:41] day and I tried to bend down and tie my shoes and

[00:03:44] my stomach was in the way dog.

[00:03:46] Like I said, nah, like I can't I can't do this.

[00:03:49] You know, I'm sitting on the bed your back look all wide.

[00:03:52] I'm like, nah, now we got to something about this.

[00:03:55] I got these little babies in here.

[00:03:56] They not about to retire me.

[00:03:58] You're saying like I'm gonna make sure that I'm

[00:04:01] in the same athletic shape that they are.

[00:04:04] That's good.

[00:04:05] That's good.

[00:04:06] So man, come on talk about it man before we get

[00:04:08] into this project man.

[00:04:10] I know, you know, we got to talk about but I

[00:04:12] can have these conversations with you man.

[00:04:14] What do you think we had man?

[00:04:15] What do you think the state of the culture of Christian

[00:04:18] hip hop, faith based hip hop?

[00:04:20] What do you think we are?

[00:04:21] You know, I know we celebrated 50 years of hip hop last year.

[00:04:24] So you know with us being a part of hip hop history.

[00:04:28] What do you think we are?

[00:04:29] Um, I think we're probably the most versatile as

[00:04:35] it's faced that we've probably ever been like.

[00:04:37] I feel like there's a lot more but but I say CHH

[00:04:41] also mirrors secular hip hop to a degree and

[00:04:44] that like now there's not a lot of distinct sounds

[00:04:48] from the regions.

[00:04:49] You know what I'm saying?

[00:04:50] It's like three or four sounds.

[00:04:52] You know what I'm saying?

[00:04:53] And and that's what we're really getting even in

[00:04:54] the Christian hip hop space.

[00:04:56] I mean, the messaging is the same but I would say

[00:04:59] that sonically there's not as much regional diversity.

[00:05:05] It sounds a little bit consistent with people

[00:05:09] are getting better at what they do.

[00:05:12] The space is getting definitely incorporating new sounds

[00:05:17] that they didn't typically have.

[00:05:20] So I would say it's probably its most diverse but in

[00:05:22] that same vein, I would say that it sounds it

[00:05:24] mirrors the secular industry.

[00:05:26] So the question is if you are listening to secular

[00:05:29] hip hop in general, how does that make you feel

[00:05:34] to know that our genre sound similar?

[00:05:37] How does that make you feel?

[00:05:39] If you like the fact that from a competitive standpoint

[00:05:43] and sonic standpoint that we are on par, great.

[00:05:47] If you don't then, you know, maybe you got to stretch

[00:05:50] yourself a little bit more.

[00:05:53] Do you think we need to sound different or do you

[00:05:54] think we write where we need to be?

[00:05:56] Because I agree with you.

[00:05:58] I think, you know, of course, you know, everybody's

[00:06:00] pallid is subjective.

[00:06:01] I mean, you're going to like what you like.

[00:06:03] But I hear it from both sides.

[00:06:05] It feels like sometimes the faith based community is

[00:06:08] upset that, you know, to your point, we sound similar

[00:06:12] to, you know, all the artists out there.

[00:06:14] But I'm like, that's a good thing.

[00:06:16] Like I shout out to all the DJs that hit me up on

[00:06:20] the mainstream side.

[00:06:21] Like I have regular DJs hitting me up for your music.

[00:06:24] Like, man, my PD want to make sure I put some, you

[00:06:27] know, some type of inspirational track in every hour.

[00:06:30] Send me something.

[00:06:31] So like if it didn't sound up to par, I couldn't send

[00:06:34] them nothing.

[00:06:36] Valid.

[00:06:37] So I mean, to your point, I would say that I think

[00:06:40] it's a good thing that is competitive because the

[00:06:42] reality is, you know, the message of God in general

[00:06:47] is competing consistently with everything that the

[00:06:50] world is digesting.

[00:06:51] So everything that the devil out here throwing any

[00:06:56] kind of ideologies, any kind of sonics, any kind

[00:06:59] of themes at people all the time.

[00:07:01] And so, you know, to be able to be competitive in a

[00:07:06] space that wasn't necessarily created for us, which

[00:07:10] is the industry side, like being competitive in that

[00:07:13] space, I think that's only to the glory of God.

[00:07:15] You know what I'm saying?

[00:07:16] I'm not, I would never say that I don't like where

[00:07:19] it is because if it is competitive, then we out

[00:07:22] here really fighting for souls now.

[00:07:23] You know what I'm saying?

[00:07:24] Like we're now creating an aroma that the world

[00:07:27] is like, what's that like?

[00:07:29] You know what I'm saying?

[00:07:29] Kind of like your DJ homies are saying.

[00:07:32] So I think that that's a good thing.

[00:07:33] I really do.

[00:07:34] What do you think we are in the body?

[00:07:36] I know I got to ask about the church for we get out

[00:07:39] and get to this music, you know, just in general.

[00:07:41] Do you think the church is now more accepting of

[00:07:45] Christian hip hop allowing for, you know, artists

[00:07:47] like yourself and everybody not just like the

[00:07:49] bigger names to come around and really embracing

[00:07:53] it's not just for the youth, but it's just

[00:07:55] it should be a part of ministry and a part of

[00:07:58] the church because, you know, we all go to, you

[00:08:00] know, Bible study and Sunday service just like

[00:08:03] everybody else.

[00:08:03] So I don't know why they've been trying to leave

[00:08:05] us out for so many years.

[00:08:07] I would say that I'm sure it's come a lot further

[00:08:12] than, you know, it was.

[00:08:14] I mean, I'm sure it's come a lot further than

[00:08:16] it used to be right?

[00:08:17] I'm pretty sure that a lot of the church isn't

[00:08:20] sitting up here thinking is devil worship just

[00:08:22] because it's Christian hip hop like so in that

[00:08:25] I would say that I'm pretty sure it's come

[00:08:27] far, but like you said very early in the process,

[00:08:30] like this is a this is a little like semi subgenre

[00:08:34] really.

[00:08:34] It's a niche audience is a niche population and

[00:08:37] so with that we just got to accept the fact that

[00:08:41] everything ain't for everybody.

[00:08:43] You know what I'm saying?

[00:08:43] There's going to be some churches that ain't

[00:08:45] never going to play Christian hip hop.

[00:08:46] Like it's going to be some that are super pro

[00:08:49] Christian hip hop and you know, I would say

[00:08:52] that go to the spaces that invite us go to

[00:08:55] the spaces where people are willing to listen

[00:08:57] and you know, I'm saying it because you're not

[00:08:59] going to be able to change people just by,

[00:09:02] you know, berating them with Christian hip hop

[00:09:04] when they got a level of ideals where they

[00:09:07] just not trying to hear that.

[00:09:08] So go where you go where you're called man.

[00:09:11] That's all I would say.

[00:09:13] Do you think, you know, when you talk about

[00:09:15] the unity amongst Christian hip hop artists,

[00:09:17] do you think that has gotten better?

[00:09:19] I know it has been some pockets to where

[00:09:21] it's kind of been like more just clickish.

[00:09:23] Not really everybody kind of, you know,

[00:09:25] building with each other and working with each other.

[00:09:27] I would say that one thing I'll give credit to

[00:09:29] the younger generation is the younger guys

[00:09:33] really do like rock with each other generally.

[00:09:36] Like at least the ones that are bubbling,

[00:09:37] you know, they tend to find each other

[00:09:39] and they tend to support each other.

[00:09:40] So in that regard, I think that that's

[00:09:42] really cool that, you know, they're

[00:09:45] willing to be more community based

[00:09:48] and not try to gatekeep each other and all

[00:09:50] of that because the reality is it

[00:09:52] it ain't too many in the space that could

[00:09:54] really gatekeep anybody.

[00:09:56] You know, like it ain't listen, we ain't got that many gates.

[00:09:59] So so in the same vein, I think

[00:10:04] the there was a working out that had to take place.

[00:10:08] You know what I'm saying?

[00:10:09] Probably over the last five to 10 years

[00:10:11] where the old G's had to start embracing

[00:10:13] the young people because they was coming

[00:10:16] outside regardless.

[00:10:18] You know what I'm saying?

[00:10:18] And they were shaped by what the old G's

[00:10:20] were doing.

[00:10:22] So the clash was going to be inevitable.

[00:10:24] Like change was going to be inevitable.

[00:10:26] Like the discomfort and adding new voices

[00:10:28] and new sounds is going to be inevitable.

[00:10:30] So I mean, that's just kind of something

[00:10:33] coming to territory.

[00:10:34] I think we've gotten to a point more

[00:10:35] so than others or more so than ever in

[00:10:38] the past where we really do see more agreement

[00:10:43] and unity.

[00:10:44] And if not, a lot of the OG's just

[00:10:46] kind of step back and you know,

[00:10:48] work in the shadows as opposed to,

[00:10:50] you know, publish publicly encouraging

[00:10:53] or publicly admonishing anybody that's on the

[00:10:55] come up.

[00:10:57] Have you had specifically some artists

[00:10:58] reached out to you?

[00:10:59] Don't try to be with you or just

[00:11:01] reach out to you for advice, prayer,

[00:11:04] just trying to build that relationship.

[00:11:06] What has that been like for you behind

[00:11:07] the scenes with you trying to,

[00:11:09] you know, pouring in their mentor

[00:11:10] or whatever it may be, pray with them.

[00:11:12] So yes, I have had a lot of young folks

[00:11:15] hit me up and

[00:11:18] you know, it's kind of weird to me

[00:11:20] to like be seen as like a mentor at all.

[00:11:22] You understand?

[00:11:23] Like I got little kids, you know what I'm

[00:11:25] thinking about making sure they brush

[00:11:27] their teeth every morning.

[00:11:29] So, you know, it's kind of it's always

[00:11:31] kind of a shock and a surprise when

[00:11:35] you know, young people reach out.

[00:11:37] But at the same time, like it's humbling

[00:11:41] and I try to give whatever knowledge

[00:11:43] I could give.

[00:11:44] Like I still think like low key,

[00:11:46] like I'm I have to accept and agree

[00:11:49] with the idea that like a fan, like

[00:11:52] to some people you're the you're an

[00:11:54] in-game person for them.

[00:11:56] Like you're a person that like some

[00:11:58] people got the cray as they person.

[00:12:01] Like some people they look at you like

[00:12:03] that, you understand?

[00:12:04] So the goal is to steward that well too.

[00:12:06] And so, um, yeah, man, I'm not a

[00:12:09] hater.

[00:12:09] I'm not no gatekeeper.

[00:12:11] I just I think one thing though

[00:12:12] that I will be is genuine.

[00:13:03] Walk us through your mindset when

[00:13:04] you first started recording tracks

[00:13:07] for this walk us through your creative

[00:13:08] process for making this in the lab.

[00:13:11] You know, it's going to be mad funny.

[00:13:13] Like what's crazy is I was working on

[00:13:16] a completely separate project.

[00:13:18] I wanted to make a bunch of fun

[00:13:19] records and you know, just be outside

[00:13:21] and just rap really good.

[00:13:23] And what ended up happening is that

[00:13:26] it didn't go down like that.

[00:13:27] So the album was made before this.

[00:13:32] You know what I'm saying?

[00:13:33] And ironically, you know, that's

[00:13:35] where all the heavy stuff, the

[00:13:36] introspective stuff came out.

[00:13:38] And so once that happened, like I

[00:13:40] felt free to just rap, you know, and

[00:13:42] normally the way that I've kind of

[00:13:44] built and created to get to project

[00:13:46] creation is like I'll do the mix

[00:13:48] tape stuff to like get my muscle

[00:13:51] memory up to make the albums.

[00:13:53] And this time it was in reverse.

[00:13:56] It was make the album first and

[00:13:58] then do the mix tape vibes.

[00:14:00] And so that ending of itself was

[00:14:02] kind of a unique experience for me.

[00:14:05] But then in the inverse, like

[00:14:07] talk to me nice.

[00:14:09] It's it's layer.

[00:14:10] You know what I'm saying?

[00:14:10] Like talk to me nice and one aspect

[00:14:12] is a cool way to try to talk about

[00:14:15] delivering the gospel.

[00:14:17] Another way of saying it is like

[00:14:19] we're living in a competitive

[00:14:20] landscape where you know, there's

[00:14:24] the enemy is out here making

[00:14:26] everything seem really palatable

[00:14:28] and cool.

[00:14:30] So I wanted to create something that

[00:14:32] was competitive so that line for

[00:14:35] line you couldn't draw this distinction

[00:14:38] outside of the messaging that

[00:14:40] somebody was a Christian or not.

[00:14:42] Like I wanted it to be like, yo,

[00:14:44] that's nice period.

[00:14:46] Like let's tear down that wall of

[00:14:48] oh, such and such as this and such

[00:14:50] and such as a Christian blank fill

[00:14:52] in the blank.

[00:14:53] So, um, you know, more than anything,

[00:14:55] that's kind of where the records

[00:14:56] came from.

[00:14:57] I wanted to have fun.

[00:14:58] I wanted to talk about some real

[00:14:59] experiences and I wanted to,

[00:15:01] you know, execute it really well

[00:15:03] through rhyme.

[00:15:04] Listen, stay right there because

[00:15:06] you just said something.

[00:15:07] You want to break down that wall

[00:15:09] of the stigma of thinking, you know,

[00:15:11] Christian hip hop artists can't

[00:15:13] just make good quality music.

[00:15:14] Why was that so important to you?

[00:15:16] What specifically were you really

[00:15:19] trying to convey when you

[00:15:21] when you were delivering this?

[00:15:22] Like why was that so important for

[00:15:24] you to make that be known?

[00:15:26] Well, because I feel like there's

[00:15:28] an urgency that, you know,

[00:15:30] because now I got babies, right?

[00:15:32] And so there's an urgency that I

[00:15:33] feel at times where like I genuinely

[00:15:36] feel like the voice and the messengers

[00:15:38] of God are being drowned out

[00:15:42] because there's so much wicked

[00:15:44] and there's so much and it's like

[00:15:47] the way to how do you make something

[00:15:49] that's convincing?

[00:15:50] How do you make something

[00:15:51] that's appealing?

[00:15:52] You make it competitive first.

[00:15:55] Like so that when people hear it

[00:15:58] next to something that they're

[00:15:59] consistently ingesting, they're like,

[00:16:01] oh, this is so this is kind of fire.

[00:16:04] You're like when you can create

[00:16:05] that opportunity because really

[00:16:08] we're just trying to be persuasive

[00:16:09] in creating the opportunity to be

[00:16:12] a bridge so that somebody

[00:16:14] could hear more, learn more,

[00:16:15] see more and be exposed to more

[00:16:19] as it pertains to, you know,

[00:16:20] Christian content because I know

[00:16:23] that you turn on the television,

[00:16:25] you throw down your social media

[00:16:26] platform. All you see in is wickedness.

[00:16:28] You know what I'm saying?

[00:16:29] Like that's just what it is.

[00:16:30] So there is a burden to a degree

[00:16:34] that I have now where I need

[00:16:36] something that my my kids

[00:16:37] can listen to where they don't feel

[00:16:39] like they missing out.

[00:16:41] Like if they don't listen to the world,

[00:16:43] like what do we introduce to them?

[00:16:45] What do we supply them

[00:16:47] that makes them feel like

[00:16:48] they're not missing something

[00:16:50] like from a quality standpoint

[00:16:52] and from a good music standpoint

[00:16:54] in general?

[00:18:07] And I was like inspired to get back outside and rap.

[00:18:10] So for me from May 22nd of last year into December 22nd

[00:18:15] of last year, like after four years of silence,

[00:18:19] like I wrote 65 records.

[00:18:21] So like wrote and recorded 65.

[00:18:23] So I was like, oh, we back outside like Kobe's back.

[00:18:27] You know what I'm saying?

[00:18:27] Cause one of the things that he was definitely recognized

[00:18:30] and known for was the ethic, like the work ethic, the grind,

[00:18:34] like that maniacal pursuit of excellence.

[00:18:36] And so like when I finally was able to, you know, really

[00:18:40] get back outside again and start making music and being

[00:18:43] like, oh, I'm lacing these J's again.

[00:18:46] Here's saying like now Kobe's back.

[00:18:48] So really that's what that was.

[00:18:51] One of my favorite joints.

[00:21:33] And so I decided to be like, oh, I was like, we just

[00:21:40] Like I honestly and nobody ever believed it.

[00:21:44] Like I didn't write that at all.

[00:21:47] Like I just recorded it like I was like, we just going

[00:29:50] seed of doubt like where are you doubting who sold the

[00:29:53] seed and is it a is it a legit concern.

[00:29:57] You know we have a lot of people who refuse to

[00:29:58] revisit an opportunity or situation or something that

[00:30:02] happened in their life or maybe a vision or goal.

[00:30:04] Got a set before them because somebody else is so in a seed

[00:30:08] of doubt maybe they can't do it you shouldn't do it why

[00:30:11] would you do that you're too old you don't know you

[00:30:15] don't have enough money like so I just I just wanted to

[00:30:18] talk about that today because I truly feel like some people

[00:30:22] are limiting themselves or being limited.

[00:30:25] You know

[00:30:27] simply because there was a seat of doubt that was

[00:30:29] sewn and when that seat of doubt is sewn how do you

[00:30:32] actually uprooted.

[00:30:34] You know so yeah I mean if you're in the circle of people

[00:30:38] who are doubters one in one man plants or plants that seed

[00:30:42] you know somebody else comes along and waters that seed

[00:30:45] by saying yeah I wouldn't do it either well then you're

[00:30:47] going to have the fruit of doubt.

[00:30:50] Because that's it's biblical and that's the one thing

[00:30:53] about biblical universal law it's the same whether it's

[00:30:59] in a positive what would it whether it's for a positive

[00:31:01] reason or whether it's for negative reason.

[00:31:04] So that's why yeah it's like hey a man can plant a seed in

[00:31:08] you somebody else can come and agree with that and then

[00:31:10] now there will be fruit starting to grow if you let it.

[00:31:13] So I'm just saying I think we need to check our fruit you

[00:31:15] know they have fruit inspectors in real world in real

[00:31:18] time focus like when the fruit comes off a tree or

[00:31:21] when it gets picked before it gets shipped out or sent

[00:31:23] to a grocery store.

[00:31:25] There's someone who actually inspects the fruit.

[00:31:28] I don't know if we inspect our fruit we're out here

[00:31:31] fruiting all day but what kind of fruit is it you know so I

[00:31:35] just I wanted to bring that up because you know turns out

[00:31:39] you can't eat every fruit in real and real life and in the

[00:31:43] spirit realm.

[00:31:44] So we need to know like hey is that a legitimate seed that

[00:31:49] I should be dealing with right now you know like is that

[00:31:51] something that I want to fruit you know so yeah I

[00:31:55] wanted to chat about it and I don't know if you've ever

[00:31:57] had any real life examples of this where somebody you had

[00:31:59] a suggestion and somebody else was like nah man I really

[00:32:02] wouldn't do that.

[00:32:05] I don't think that's smart how how how you gonna make money

[00:32:07] off that what does that look like like you know I'm saying

[00:32:09] that it's like okay but if God told me to go do a B and C

[00:32:14] and you over here constantly so in the seed of doubt you

[00:32:32] backtrack a little bit at the first thing I was talking to

[00:32:33] my mind was you know everybody you know when you think

[00:32:36] about doubting it's you being uncertain if you should make

[00:32:39] a move and not absolutely so when you're uncertain of

[00:32:42] course you want to go to some wise counselor should be

[00:32:45] wise counselor should be people you trust to you know

[00:32:48] get some thoughts on it you know running bounce it off

[00:32:51] of them and see if this idea is a good idea so let's

[00:32:53] be very clear absolutely one is up to speed right now

[00:32:58] the fix radio show.

[00:32:59] Okay first when I first said I was going to radio you know

[00:33:04] how many people told me you can't do radio you don't speak

[00:33:09] well enough to do radio money and there's no money in

[00:33:14] Christian radio that was multiple times that you talking

[00:33:18] about playing nobody gonna listen to that corny music and

[00:33:22] I'm talking about multiple people at least 10 or better

[00:33:25] absolutely doubt it and then what happened.

[00:33:31] listen to them if I wouldn't if I would have stayed in doubt

[00:33:34] and then listen to them and not play because that's what

[00:33:37] I first of the first thing I did I said Lord why do you

[00:33:40] keep putting this on my mind why do you keep putting

[00:33:42] this in my spirit for me to do this like that like

[00:33:45] that's the first thing I identify so I started praying

[00:33:47] I started studying again everybody knows the backstory

[00:33:50] I catch all up in case your first introduction my wife

[00:33:53] and I wanted to get out of debt so I can I pick

[00:33:55] the second job up and when I pick the second job up

[00:33:58] the supervisor at my second job that I was working at

[00:34:01] he actually had a little radio station that he was starting

[00:34:05] and he was building up and he was looking for somebody

[00:34:07] that was familiar with Christian hip hop that was

[00:34:10] DJ was doing it so before I even say yes to him

[00:34:15] this is where the dollars was like nah man you wasting

[00:34:17] your don't waste your time doing that like nobody

[00:34:20] nobody's gonna invest in that nobody's gonna advertise

[00:34:23] with that nobody gonna listen to that music you like

[00:34:25] yeah you got you got a little cray and a few little

[00:34:27] artists but you know it's not enough music to go around

[00:34:31] to what the masses are going to really like it so

[00:34:33] absolutely this this that's what I said this one right

[00:34:36] here is great because I have multiple experiences

[00:34:39] but I want to let everybody know listen I promise

[00:34:43] you if I would have believed the doubters we wouldn't

[00:34:46] be right here today that's good that's good no

[00:34:54] that are missing the same opportunity that we have

[00:35:22] and I just I got to call this out there are so many

[00:35:25] people right now who the reason why they hate on other

[00:35:29] people as soon as they see people on TV or they hear

[00:35:31] them on the radio or they see them at our award show

[00:35:34] it's because they stopped doing what they was doing

[00:35:36] because they fail for the seat of doubt they

[00:35:38] they wanted to do it they had that dream at one point

[00:35:42] you know how many people and you know because you

[00:35:43] always at the bar which I hear this all the time

[00:35:45] at the salon and even in my family oh I could have

[00:35:48] been such and such I was whoop-de-whoop and I'm like

[00:35:50] okay I hear you talk about the past all the time

[00:35:53] you're gonna be in a nursing home talking about the

[00:35:55] past why don't you go do something you know I'm

[00:35:58] saying no bussing move yeah like cuz all this

[00:36:02] I you know coulda shoulda woulda you know it's

[00:36:04] like okay coulda shoulda woulda what does God

[00:36:06] think about your coulda shoulda woulda because

[00:36:08] honestly it's not about me and it ain't about

[00:36:10] everybody else but if it's on your heart and the

[00:36:12] Lord said move shame on you okay cuz you're gonna

[00:36:16] have to answer to God face-to-face about that

[00:36:18] you know so it's like the seat of doubt who do you

[00:36:21] believe you know and and it's it's insane to me

[00:36:25] like I I don't know I've never really thought about

[00:36:34] and he just had a birthday in January you

[00:36:36] know shout out to all January birthdays one

[00:36:38] scan and he said I just don't even see you age

[00:36:42] because you're always doing something

[00:36:45] and I was like but I was telling him like I don't

[00:36:48] I could care less about age I care more about

[00:36:50] what God said do so if this might my birthday

[00:36:54] comes around it just come around you know

[00:36:55] praise God but I'm so busy trying to do what

[00:36:59] God said do I don't even calculate my age

[00:37:03] to what I do it makes no sense to me but

[00:37:05] some people would calculate their age are you

[00:37:08] too old to still be doing music oh I used

[00:37:10] to y'all you you know you're almost a half

[00:37:13] century you know I'm saying whatever like

[00:37:14] you why you want to be you know doing why

[00:37:18] and these people they be down they doubt

[00:37:20] what God's plan is in the earth and so

[00:37:23] it's important for us to stay tapped and

[00:37:28] people would refuse to get married again

[00:37:29] why because they first marriage failed

[00:37:38] may have opportunity to actually have a

[00:37:40] legacy have a family you know change

[00:37:46] if you would actually maybe marry the

[00:37:48] man or woman of your dreams but you won't

[00:37:50] married when you was 19 it didn't work out

[00:37:53] self-doubt nobody else yeah man I

[00:37:57] wouldn't do it because marriage it's

[00:38:06] I think that was the lady grandmother

[00:38:09] she was 85 years old she pursued her dream

[00:38:13] he kept telling me you always want to be

[00:38:14] actually actress grandma you're gonna be

[00:38:16] actress is your opportunity won't you

[00:38:18] go try out try it out and she made she

[00:38:19] landed in a row yeah because it was

[00:38:21] like okay it's my time let me go be

[00:38:23] moved on what I move down right now

[00:38:25] so I just some people plant that seat

[00:38:28] of doubt and I remember growing up I

[00:38:30] wanted to bring this up and I'll

[00:38:31] come into a close people would say

[00:38:35] and this was in my particular family

[00:38:37] don't trust women and I remember I heard

[00:38:39] that a lot you know and I'm thinking

[00:38:41] don't trust women why cuz they'll take

[00:38:43] your man to try to take your man like

[00:38:44] this is the thing that women actually

[00:38:46] tell other women which is absolutely

[00:38:48] absurd to me when you're growing up I

[00:38:50] get it if you've had a situation but

[00:38:52] that seat was sewn so young I had all

[00:38:56] male relationships probably until I had

[00:39:00] my son like male friends you know I

[00:39:03] mean like women at bay and then I

[00:39:06] realized when I had a baby I was like

[00:39:07] wait a minute I need to talk to some women

[00:39:09] cuz I don't know what I'm doing here

[00:39:10] like I'm gonna have to have you know

[00:39:13] some female relationships to help me

[00:39:15] with this and I just remember I was so

[00:39:19] angry that I fell for that seat of

[00:39:21] doubt that other women other hurt

[00:39:23] broken broken toxic women had

[00:39:27] instilled in me you don't need girl

[00:39:29] relationships you know don't do that

[00:39:31] cuz you know they be too you know

[00:39:33] but that was their whole life

[00:39:35] experience their life experience was

[00:39:37] focused on the land yeah they passed

[00:39:39] the brand so it's like in their tragedy

[00:39:41] so I'm accepting their their doubt

[00:39:43] their doubt seat of no women were

[00:39:46] designed to have relationships with

[00:39:48] women you have a mother like every

[00:39:50] person on the earth was designed to

[00:39:52] have relationship with a woman God

[00:39:53] trust a woman obviously the most turns

[00:39:56] out so it's like why would you fall

[00:39:58] for that idea that women cannot be

[00:40:00] trusted you know women are trusted

[00:40:01] with every child that comes here so

[00:40:03] it's like put some respect on women's

[00:40:05] name so I but I hated I hated that it

[00:40:07] took me 25 years but I got to point

[00:40:10] where I was like man I will never tell

[00:40:12] a male to have not have male

[00:40:13] relationships what in the world you

[00:40:15] understand that's the first thing I

[00:40:16] told my sons all of hey you need to be

[00:40:19] around some man so many don't say like

[00:40:20] going about the kitchen you know

[00:40:22] something like yeah you're gonna

[00:40:24] have to build relationships with you

[00:40:28] know people that look like you think

[00:40:29] like you talk like you need

[00:40:30] examples and role models but I'm

[00:40:32] just saying like the things we say or

[00:40:34] the things other people have said these

[00:40:36] doubtful seeds because they've been hurt

[00:40:38] or it didn't go their way or their plan

[00:40:41] failed like don't let people sell that

[00:40:42] seed into your life you'd be like

[00:40:46] I trust and believe God has shown me

[00:40:47] this this is the path I'm taking if
