[00:21:15] That the gospel changes lives

[00:21:17] When it goes forth

[00:21:19] It always returns back something that it wants to achieve

[00:21:21] When Jesus speaks through music

[00:21:23] Through people, through the word of God

[00:21:25] Through preaching

[00:21:27] It always accomplishes what it needs to accomplish

[00:21:29] And the fact that younger people

[00:21:31] And my age group, older

[00:21:33] Are continuing to do that in music

[00:21:35] And do that

[00:21:37] In a high quality way

[00:21:39] In a way that is really able to be received by the church

[00:21:41] And the unchurched

[00:21:43] I'm excited about that

[00:21:45] And I'm excited in the time of which I'm being heard as a musician

[00:21:47] Because I feel like

[00:21:49] It isn't all in one box

[00:21:51] And people are able to receive me

[00:21:53] And hear me

[00:21:55] On different platforms and different angles

[00:21:57] So I'm excited for that

[00:21:59] That I've been hearing for many times

[00:22:03] I'm a New York City

[00:22:05] Nas inspired

[00:22:07] I grew up listening to Jay-Z

[00:22:09] I grew up listening to all those

[00:22:11] So sometimes I long to hear those

[00:22:13] Those bar lords

[00:22:15] And those people that really got the intricate

[00:22:19] Lyrical masterfulness

[00:22:21] That hip hop requires

[00:22:23] Whether it's fun hip hop music

[00:22:25] Whether it's introspective

[00:22:27] Or more of that in Christian music

[00:22:29] But that's for sure

[00:22:31] We in a good place in a good space

[00:22:33] And I think the genres

[00:22:35] Continue to grow

[00:22:37] Especially with that

[00:22:39] USA Today that we recently just had

[00:22:45] So I'm excited where we are

[00:22:59] And how it affects the music

[00:23:01] First there's a lot of younger rappers and artists

[00:23:03] And in general, younger people

[00:23:05] That don't respect the generation before them

[00:23:07] And it's not always because it's

[00:23:09] Therefore sometimes the generation ahead of us

[00:23:11] Were wounded by the church

[00:23:13] Because doing rap and doing hip hop music

[00:23:15] Wasn't accepted in the church

[00:23:17] The way it is now

[00:23:19] A lot of pastors like myself are younger

[00:23:21] So we want to see that in our communities

[00:23:23] So it's brought in more

[00:23:25] But I really believe in the Titus 2 ministry

[00:23:29] And the Paul and Titus

[00:23:31] And Timothy kind of relationship

[00:23:33] Where we have to be rubbing shoulders

[00:23:35] With the generation ahead of us

[00:23:37] And the generation below us

[00:23:39] If you're not equipping the next generation

[00:23:41] I don't care how old you are

[00:23:43] Then what are we really doing to see the gospel multiply?

[00:23:45] So I think that's the number one thing

[00:23:47] We need to see more collabs between

[00:23:49] You know

[00:23:51] The bigger artists

[00:23:53] Like the ones that are staples in our communities

[00:23:55] The lacrays, the bezels

[00:23:57] Like and the younger artists need to say

[00:23:59] Like yo, come on my record

[00:24:01] Jump on this record. We hot.

[00:24:03] Let's do something together

[00:24:05] Like let's build more of a forceful community

[00:24:07] That can really work together

[00:24:09] And make, and then cross genre wise

[00:24:11] Like lacrages did that record with Tasha Kals

[00:24:15] That was like while I was hearing it

[00:24:17] I'm like wow, I guess this doesn't happen that often

[00:24:19] It really doesn't and they got nominated for

[00:24:21] Maybe I think a Grammy award

[00:24:23] And it kind of came out of nowhere

[00:24:27] I'm like this guy really is

[00:24:29] Continuing to break barriers

[00:24:31] Where I expected that those barriers should have been broken a long time ago

[00:24:39] Let's get more even some of the CCM artists

[00:25:35] What does it look like for you when you go in the lab

[00:25:37] To make a song

[00:25:39] Because you do it all

[00:25:47] To help me understand that I don't have to be one thing

[00:25:49] That when I'm a pastor

[00:25:55] That you know, in order to write songs

[00:25:57] For the church I should be writing songs with the church

[00:25:59] So we started songwriting teams at our church

[00:26:03] And sometimes it's all turned out rock

[00:26:05] And sometimes it comes out as different kind of vibes

[00:26:07] And then I write, you know, nationally

[00:26:09] With my denomination

[00:26:11] We released a big record

[00:26:13] About a year and a half ago

[00:26:15] And to be able to say

[00:26:17] Okay, when I'm with the church

[00:26:19] And I'm doing something for Sunday morning

[00:26:21] There's the kind of people that come on a Sunday morning

[00:26:23] That they need to be encouraged

[00:26:25] And they need to worship in this kind of way

[00:26:27] But then I'm from the Bronx

[00:26:29] I'm from Spring Valley, New York

[00:26:31] I'm from Jamaican

[00:26:33] So like I can't get rid of who I am as a person

[00:26:35] But I don't need to put the pressure on the church

[00:26:37] On a Sunday morning to be that for me

[00:26:39] So I need to make that effort outside of the church

[00:26:43] To make a community of artists

[00:26:45] That and speak to a group of people

[00:26:47] That may never walk into the church

[00:26:49] Maybe wounded from the church or by the church

[00:26:51] Or may also feel like myself

[00:26:53] In the past like they didn't have a place

[00:26:55] So what's the kind of music for me

[00:26:57] How's the gospel going to penetrate this community

[00:27:01] And so my process is

[00:27:03] When I'm with people, I'm 100% present

[00:27:05] Depending on the type of artist it is

[00:27:07] I'm a beats melody first kind of person

[00:27:11] So if I hear a record

[00:27:13] Immediately, I know my skill is more melodic

[00:27:15] And I go melodic

[00:27:17] And then I feel lyrically afterward

[00:27:19] But I love collabing

[00:27:21] I love working with different engineers

[00:27:23] I record out here

[00:30:01] So back in 2020

[00:30:03] I was one of those people that was excited

[00:30:05] You know that the pandemic was cooling down

[00:30:09] And things was opening up

[00:30:11] And you know thanksgiving was coming

[00:30:13] Getting ready to see my mom

[00:30:15] And you know earlier in that year

[00:30:19] Her cancer sort of took a turn for the worse

[00:30:21] And when it took that turn

[00:30:23] I kind of felt like God was saying hey

[00:30:27] We coming towards the end

[00:30:29] And so

[00:30:31] I started a process of really just sticking through

[00:30:35] Through songwriting, through journaling

[00:30:37] Like what am I feeling?

[00:30:39] Like what's really on my mind and my heart

[00:30:41] And honestly when she passed

[00:30:43] The day before Thanksgiving in 2020

[00:30:45] I really started

[00:30:47] Upward trajectory of me just being completely honest with myself

[00:30:51] As an artist as a minister

[00:30:53] And that really got me back in the lab in terms of hip hop

[00:30:57] And I began to just catalog

[00:30:59] Yo this is what I felt

[00:31:01] This is what I felt

[00:31:03] Back in 2000, whatever when I had this encounter with that person

[00:31:05] And let me start telling my story a little bit more

[00:31:07] So just as a process of grieving her

[00:31:09] And grieving well

[00:31:11] I began to write

[00:31:13] And the song all along came along

[00:31:15] And it's one of my most

[00:31:17] Personal songs that I ever release

[00:31:19] And it really talks about the history of my mom

[00:31:21] Hook coming from Jamaica

[00:31:23] My siblings, I got two siblings on L.A. Shoutout to them

[00:31:57] They're not sitting there no more

[00:31:59] And how do we deal with that?

[00:32:01] Because we gotta face it

[00:32:03] Have you went through any therapy

[00:32:05] Or any counsel for the grieving process

[00:32:07] I know for me personally

[00:32:09] I'm beyond what it was tough for me

[00:32:11] I lost actually both of my parents

[00:32:13] And I was like, I'm not going to do that

[00:32:15] I lost actually both of my parents

[00:32:17] Within a three year period

[00:32:19] Lost my dad first

[00:32:21] And then about a year and a half

[00:32:23] Almost later lost my mom

[00:32:25] And I know for me it was horrible

[00:32:27] And in the process of that

[00:32:29] Forgive me, lost my dad

[00:32:31] My father-in-law passed first

[00:32:33] Then my mom passed

[00:32:35] So you figured within my house

[00:32:37] Three, we had within three years

[00:32:39] We lost three parents

[00:32:41] That were very crucial to us

[00:32:43] My father-in-law was a pillar for my wife

[00:32:47] That was her heart

[00:32:49] And not to say shots out to my mom

[00:32:51] If you're watching, I'm not saying my mom or even

[00:32:53] But she was very close with her dad

[00:32:55] So that was wow in the process of me

[00:32:57] Loose of my dad and she lose her dad

[00:32:59] I don't know if I even really processed

[00:33:01] Or grieved totally

[00:33:03] I couldn't because I still had to come for her

[00:33:05] Because of course we demand we deal

[00:33:07] They need us to be strong at pockets

[00:33:09] Like they don't need us to be bleeding down on them

[00:33:11] So what was your process within your household specific?

[00:33:15] I'm talking about which your wife

[00:33:17] Was that a process for you

[00:33:19] Yeah, well my wife, lovely wife of 12 years

[00:33:21] Niaja, man

[00:33:23] It was crazy because my wife knew my mother

[00:33:27] Better than I did

[00:33:29] Wow

[00:33:31] Because I'm a man and she's my son

[00:33:33] I had a real strict

[00:33:37] Strong black Caribbean mother

[00:33:39] Who came to this country with nothing

[00:33:41] And really built herself up

[00:33:43] And really tried to make the best future possible for us

[00:33:47] So it was tough at times

[00:33:49] And she always wanted us to improve

[00:33:51] And be better and be solid individuals in this world

[00:33:55] And my wife really took to that matriarchy

[00:34:01] And really came under my mom's leadership

[00:34:05] And was mentored by my mother

[00:34:07] And they used to speak every single week

[00:34:09] And my mom would call me looking for my wife

[00:34:11] I'd be like, hey mama, what are you doing?

[00:34:13] She was like, oh, I didn't good

[00:34:15] Where's Niaja?

[00:34:17] You know what I'm saying

[00:34:19] But that made me smile

[00:34:21] Because I know my wife cleans so much from her

[00:34:23] And from her story

[00:34:25] And from her corporate background

[00:34:27] My wife is in corporate America

[00:34:29] Kind of world

[00:34:31] They shared that in common

[00:34:33] And so it was hard to see my mom lose a mentor

[00:34:35] Same my wife lose a mentor

[00:34:37] And then

[00:34:39] See my sister lose a mother

[00:34:41] And my younger brother lose a mother

[00:34:43] So immediately when I did top of the year

[00:34:45] I went to this making piece retreat

[00:34:47] Which was like this weekend

[00:34:49] Where you go through this

[00:34:51] Making peace with your pet

[00:34:53] And beyond

[00:34:55] You go deep into your past

[00:34:57] You see healing

[00:34:59] Through a Holy Spirit

[00:35:01] Through a great community

[00:35:03] Something like that you do this follow-ups every week

[00:35:05] So I did that

[00:35:07] I did grief counseling

[00:35:09] I took some of my family through grief counseling

[00:35:11] We all did that

[00:35:13] But truthfully

[00:35:15] It took me a year to realize how much more I needed

[00:35:17] So I'm going to type to just jump into a head on

[00:35:19] But even that's not wise all the time

[00:35:21] Sometimes you got to chill

[00:35:23] The way to figure out what you really need

[00:35:25] Through this counseling jersey

[00:35:27] Journey

[00:35:29] So all I have to say

[00:35:31] There's another layer

[00:35:33] There's another layer

[00:35:35] And then things that manifested in me

[00:35:37] Things that I don't like

[00:35:39] That are proven to me

[00:35:41] You need to

[00:35:43] There's more

[00:35:45] That I want to do in you

[00:35:47] That God is saying

[00:35:49] And I'm fine with that

[00:35:51] So it's an ongoing journey

[00:35:53] I think it ebbs and flows

[00:35:55] I think grief

[00:35:57] Like one of my coworkers at the church said

[00:35:59] I was like a great person

[00:36:01] You got to explore those things

[00:36:03] Otherwise we implore you know I'm saying

[00:36:05] Absolutely come on talk about this merch line man

[00:36:09] Starting it and catch people up on what you got going on now

[00:36:11] Yeah the brand started off

[00:36:13] Really as like merged like

[00:36:15] I was releasing my first album which is a worship record

[00:36:17] I'm in 2018 the revival project

[00:36:21] And some great artists that helped me

[00:36:23] Put that project together

[00:36:25] Yeah he over at Pottas House and T.D. Jakes

[00:36:27] I'm shout out to him and his beautiful wife and his kids

[00:36:31] Started off and you know I made my first t-shirt

[00:36:33] I was looking at it today like

[00:36:35] Like the shirt said

[00:36:37] Start a revival in your city

[00:36:39] And that shirt didn't go nowhere

[00:36:41] Nobody bought that

[00:36:43] But failure is necessary

[00:36:45] To learn what you don't need to do anymore

[00:36:47] And so I began to explore that

[00:36:49] And then me and my wife

[00:36:51] Her being a fashion designer

[00:36:53] It seems trist in the world

[00:36:55] The fashion she began to educate me on

[00:36:57] Sustainability in fashion

[00:36:59] And fast fashion

[00:37:01] And what a good factory is

[00:37:03] Versus some of the factories that we lean on

[00:37:05] To produce our over consumed fashion in America

[00:37:09] And as she educated me I felt

[00:37:11] Man as a believer I got to have a sustainable brand

[00:37:13] But to have organic cotton

[00:37:15] And to have that high quality garments

[00:37:17] It costs a lot of money

[00:37:19] It does

[00:37:21] So the return is not going to be as great as you want it

[00:37:23] Over time if you're righteous

[00:37:25] And what you're doing, if you're ethical

[00:37:27] And what you're doing, God would do that

[00:37:29] And so in 2020 we started a brand

[00:37:31] Shut down for about a year

[00:37:33] To do some research on sustainability

[00:37:35] Connected with a great factory

[00:37:37] Out of Portugal to do my organic base stuff

[00:37:39] And I work with a company on L.A.

[00:37:41] And also make custom stuff here

[00:37:43] Through my wife and through other artists in the area

[00:37:47] And so it's all handmade, hand touched

[00:37:49] Organic cotton based

[00:37:51] And it's called Messianic Supply Co

[00:37:53] And really the tag of the brand is

[00:37:55] Conversational starter street wear depicted art and design

[00:37:57] That point to the Messiah

[00:37:59] And a real inspiration for that

[00:38:01] Is really that 16th, 17th century

[00:38:03] Baroque period of art

[00:38:05] When you think of the Michelangelo's

[00:38:07] And the Da Vinci's

[00:38:09] And these people consistently depicted biblical imagery

[00:38:11] In their artwork

[00:38:13] And it was accepted at the highest levels of the art world

[00:38:15] Why not now?

[00:38:17] Why not now? I think we are in a renaissance of art

[00:38:19] In Cleveland

[00:38:21] And so I'm happy to be a part of it

[00:38:23] We recently opened up a retail space as city goods

[00:38:25] 1442 west 28th street

[00:38:27] It's a huge opportunity that really just fell on my lap

[00:38:31] And God pointed so many signs to me

[00:38:33] Like, yo this is it

[00:38:35] So we've been there a couple months

[00:38:37] Been going really well

[00:39:11] Some of the brands in Cleveland

[00:39:13] Relic clothing companies

[00:39:15] You know, all these different brands

[00:39:17] That's just been amazing

[00:39:19] Working with one man Brian Mark Feinart

[00:39:21] Working with Skolbro and their clothing brand

[00:39:23] So I'm excited about what God is doing there

[00:39:25] St. Pierre is another dope brand in the city

[00:39:31] So yeah, that's people I'm working with

[00:39:33] And trying to do events with to really bring together art

[00:39:37] But also redeem art for the kingdom

[00:39:39] And expose people to high quality of art

[00:39:43] That they can consume and be a part of as we push forward this movement

[00:40:29] I think internally when I look back on it

[00:40:33] I think it was really a time

[00:40:35] Where I was underestimated myself

[00:40:37] And I'm sort of speaking to myself

[00:40:39] In a sense that like I got so much stuff that God is putting it in the treasure chest

[00:40:43] For me to pull out

[00:40:45] And I'm afraid to pull it out

[00:40:47] Because I'm afraid that I'd be alienated

[00:40:49] And I'm afraid that if I am my full self

[00:45:49] You know there will be a divine intervention for you

[00:49:54] I want not why not let's talk about it you know the saying like shoot something uh you know

[00:50:00] something God is always you know prompting me to do and we so religious in spiritual we always

[00:50:06] think we're gonna say the same things getting your word read your Bible good church you know pray

[00:50:12] it's like there are other ways to feed your faith okay the spate is what kind of word it is a

[00:50:19] action um um word it's an action what does that mean I should be doing

[00:50:28] something concerning my faith so how are you feeding your faith and yes we know the basics like I

[00:50:38] said you know prayer meditation you know tapping in we know that but this is where Christians

[00:50:46] get stuck that's where church has a divide and I have to put that out there because

[00:50:54] your faith is going to require more than just you knowing scripture so you know sorry for those

[00:51:03] of you who have been failed in your faith because you didn't have a well-rounded faith teacher

[00:51:10] which I gotta go do some you gotta go do some and if you're believing God for anything

[00:51:18] you gotta go do something you have to put action behind it so I just was like let's bring this up

[00:51:23] how are you feeding your faith and uh and this could be anything whatever you believe in God

[00:51:28] for you're gonna have to feed it so how do you feed a baby you feed a baby you know like if you know

[00:51:34] this child needs milk or if vitamin C vitamin E vitamin E you know like you know that the building

[00:51:40] blocks of what the building blocks of health are you gonna make sure you get that stuff to feed

[00:51:46] the baby if the baby is allergic to regular milk and he's soy milk you're gonna go get the soy milk like

[00:51:52] your faith has to be fed but it has to be fed something that's gonna allow it to grow

[00:51:58] so I want to talk about that but well let's let's put some Bible on that thing because you

[00:52:02] already came out the gate running so we gotta make sure we give some Bible

[00:52:07] Psalms 119 105 your word is a lamp for my feet a light on my path and I brought that

[00:52:14] scripture up because when you for when you first said it listen reading your word daily

[00:52:20] you ain't gonna be able to feed your faith if you ain't giving it nothing

[00:52:25] that's why really listen what's what's that old thing they's just saying school reading

[00:52:29] this fundamental reading is knowledge so yeah you have to feed your faith you have to dive into

[00:52:33] the scriptures and make sure you understand every day that you need to dedicate time to re-meditate

[00:52:41] on scripture because that's the only way you know that's the first thing I say that's not

[00:52:45] only way but it's the waste if you don't go down it's the waste it's the waste it is a waste if you

[00:52:50] read to you blew in the face focus some of y'all still Christian yeah you can quote 29 scriptures but

[00:52:56] I am now seeing you do nap piece of missionary work outside of a church wall so feeding your faith

[00:53:03] yeah we go that a day let's go we'll be basically you can be basically read all you won't

[00:53:11] read to you pass out something I just read to go to sleep you don't even care you just read it

[00:53:15] because you know I know it's gonna knock me out when I get into the book of song yeah it is

[00:53:19] no melatonin in my heart hmm the word God is the best CBD oil you ever need you know I'm saying

[00:53:28] you don't need nothing else just open up look at John you be out in like 30 minutes

[00:53:34] but I'm just saying like we're so spiritual as we should be but I think we've stopped there

[00:53:43] and that is what makes a lukewarm Christian hmm that's it that's been in our spirit for a while now

[00:54:33] you're gonna keep begging God he said it's done actually that that that with those were the words

[00:54:37] it is finished you know and I love how it's finished and God is still doing you know like that's his

[00:54:44] grace and his mercy but I'm just saying you know if you don't put anything but you can go pray all

[00:54:50] you want you can pray for two hours in your closet tears streaming down your face worn and the

[00:54:56] spirit screaming yelling a shana Hana go for it but if you don't go put any action behind that

[00:55:05] prayer what are we talking about ain't no faith I know faith in that I'm just words

[00:55:14] how do I say and God said well God said it but what you gonna go do what are you gonna go do

[00:55:20] well let's talk about it dice serve others I think Galatians 513 serve one another humbly in love

[00:55:27] go ahead listen now we don't know go do some like you say go serve somebody go go do some stop

[00:55:33] thinking about your God then I can do that they beggin for new business but won't go work at

[00:55:37] somebody else's business for free and just help them out every Saturday morning getting it started

[00:55:42] or doing the paperwork so no no you got a soul where you want to go and so yeah how are you feeding

[00:55:49] your faith because that is one way that you feed your faith you must sow a seed seed time harvest that's

[00:55:54] a you know what I'm saying that's the whole thing that's a whole vibe like biologically in the earth

[00:55:59] and spiritually so yeah um definitely serve and focus that's a great way to uh to plant the seed

[00:56:06] and feed your faith but also you just doing what you are called to do where you are

[00:56:13] and I think this freezes a lot of people and you got a really great testimony about doing the radio show

[00:56:19] on your phone or something like you didn't have what you didn't have what you needed but you knew

[00:56:23] what you were called to do so you like that's the way that you feed your faith regardless of what it

[00:56:27] looks like regardless of people telling you you need a bigger space you need a better microphone

[00:56:32] you need a microphone they're like regardless of all that chatter you're like well I'm just gonna

[00:56:37] start because I gotta feed my baby yeah you know the funny thing about that is

[00:56:42] shots out to youtube university I went on youtube all right listen I can't take no credit for it

[00:56:47] I saw a gentleman on youtube and literally he he listen he said if you want to start your radio show

[00:56:54] from the ground up this is all you need this smart phone can help you do everything you need to do

[00:57:00] so yeah I saw a YouTube tutorial yes all I had was a four channel bancher mixer I had an iPhone

[00:57:08] and I had internet so what did I do I went and I put a playlist in my phone

[00:57:14] at that screen up then I had my microphone screen up so as all I did was connect my iPhone to

[00:57:20] the back of the mixer go on literally got one screen up with the online platform that I was broadcasting

[00:57:28] going in the background got one screen with my playlist so I'm looking at these two screens and

[00:57:33] I would just go back and forth so what the signal was on I knew it was on and wasn't gonna go off

[00:57:37] until I hit stop so I would go back and forth hey we're getting ready to go to music break introduce

[00:57:41] the music and play the music from the iPhone when I came back from break all I would do is use

[00:57:47] the microphone on my iPhone and just are speaking into it like I'm speaking right into this microphone

[00:57:53] this sure microphone you see right here yeah and I did that for four months before I got into a

[00:58:00] real studio two two times a week every Tuesday and Thursday for four months so focus that he

[00:58:07] he fed his faith he did the research he listened and then he actually made a move to go

[00:58:15] do what he had just learned after sitting up underneath YouTube University and he used what

[00:58:20] he had had right then in there with no complaints so you got to go do something you got to go

[00:58:26] learn something new that's a way to feed your faith you know and then he got put the action behind

[00:58:30] it go find what you got to do the thing that you want to do right now and do it like don't

[00:58:36] second guess it do it but that that's a way to definitely feed your faith and I'll be

[00:58:39] rude to some people don't want to ask nobody for no help

[00:58:42] oh well good luck with that yeah I'm just saying yeah I got a great idea I got this idea

[00:58:47] got a great idea got a great idea got a great some people in hell got great ideas and I'll be

[00:58:53] rude with you you that great idea might just be six feet under with you but it's like feed your

[00:59:00] faith as you're going along go somewhere sit up underneath somebody learn something same thing

[00:59:04] with church and also but the same thing with your skill or trade like go learn something for somebody

[00:59:10] else getting that atmosphere um there are some women who want to have babies this is a big deal

[00:59:16] an issue nowadays because some women can and some women can't but I'm gonna suggest

[00:59:22] don't you go uh volunteer at the hospital where the where the babies are born

[00:59:27] go volunteer feed your faith god I'm believing I'm believing but go

[00:59:32] love on some other people who already got what you got and serve them be around them like you say

[00:59:36] and you know I'm saying but open up your faith and you never know god might have something in that space

[00:59:41] because you're not afraid I'm just gonna show up I'm gonna show up I'm I want to know what's

[00:59:45] going to happen and you have to kind of walk yourself through it in advance you know if you're a true

[00:59:48] believer you see it you you gotta be able to see it Bible says the right the vision and make it

[00:59:53] plain so you have to see something first yes you gotta see it you gotta be able to say if you can't

[00:59:57] see it you can't have it I'm gonna just I just will worry for some of the law god if you can't see

[01:00:01] it you can't have it that is it so you need to spend some time visualizing the things that god

[01:00:10] is going to bring in your life and it's funny because people do the vision boards and stuff that's

[01:00:14] cool you got a vision board but sometimes that vision board can limit your vision first because

[01:00:18] you ain't gonna find a photo somebody that did something that ain't never been done which is what

[01:00:22] you're called to do so you'll be sitting there stuck in your house like I don't know anybody you

[01:00:28] said this before you said I didn't even know anybody who was doing radio you told me a long time

[01:00:33] ago and I was cracking up cuz I was like yeah cuz you had to go do the fix cuz ain't nobody doing it

[01:00:39] so it's hard to find mentors to do it cuz it's like yeah anybody on the level I'm trying to be

[01:00:44] on or talking about the stuff I'm trying to talk about so I guess I gotta do it yeah but anyhow

[01:00:49] I just I love this type of stuff here because I think we get stuck in other people's worlds and we're

[01:00:54] too busy following man and not following God so it's like you get frozen and don't know how to feed

[01:00:59] your faith but it's kind of like the Noah effect it's gonna rain ain't never rain what is rain

[01:01:04] I don't we'll talk about it later but build this build this huge arc right now in the middle

[01:01:10] yeah cuz I'm mad at everybody and I'm tired of everybody but I want to save you and your family

[01:01:14] okay and a few of these little animals so and hurry up too cuz I changed my mind he's

[01:01:19] like right now it was very clear now we're talking about it feeding your faith we gotta go

[01:01:45] we gotta talk about a little bit fasting and praying I know a scripture that came to my mind was

[01:01:50] Matthew 6 16 through 18 it says when you fast do not look sober as the hypocrites do for they

[01:02:00] delights in their in their sinful ways so yeah you know I think a lot of people they don't

[01:02:10] challenge themselves to go to a new level in their faith I think the ultimate challenge for me

[01:02:16] personally is fasting like to say and to really do and sacrifice and give something up that you

[01:02:25] know you want let's be very clear especially for me I know I can speak from all my food eaters

[01:02:31] out there and I know you use to talk about it to a little dice you loving food anytime I do a

[01:02:35] pure fast let's be very clear the Lord knows I am sitting there like I am grateful God but this

[01:02:42] please know that this is a sacrifice for me the look the law my good especially when I'm on

[01:02:46] the I'm on my specific fastest and maybe my wife is not fasting with me and she won't and I have

[01:02:53] to still sit there and I just I'm in the house and you know that knows you just I feel like she

[01:03:00] she listen I don't I don't think she doesn't intentionally but it just seems like it's always

[01:03:04] something gourmet that is always like that I really want to have it's a stake it's a lasagna

[01:03:11] in the oven that is just right right brewing up and I'm sitting here with my alkaline water and

[01:03:16] I got my Bible and I'm trying I'm trying to pray to God Lord please don't let me go get a

[01:03:22] plug that design but no the sacrifice and fasting and prayer no it has took it has taken my faith

[01:03:28] to another level I'm serious when I say you know I am definitely at a place now where it's not a

[01:03:34] struggle anymore like it used to be but it was hard at first it was hard and I knew for the most

[01:03:41] part I've done other fast where I haven't given up food I've given up other things you know

[01:03:46] you got a list but I'm beyond what you God speaks to me the clearest when I sacrifice that food

[01:03:52] I'm be told he's telling you when I do that purify oh he speaks to me clearly because he know

[01:03:57] he knows yeah yeah the Lord knows fried chicken ministry is in my in my spirit it's just all in my

[01:04:03] blood like so I'm sorry I know you don't indulge like but I just it's a fried chicken ministry in my

[01:04:08] spirit somewhere I don't know how long has been since I had fried chicken but um I don't know I don't

[01:04:16] know I don't know I think it's okay to eat what you want to eat but it's funny when you started that

[01:04:25] sitting you talking about fasting and prayer I was like yeah some people need to fast

[01:04:30] you know they've been begging God to be smaller and you just need to stop eating like

[01:04:35] it's true give up one meal you know what I mean feed your faith by not feeding your face you know

[01:04:42] and it's it's just like that but if we do everything unto God we will we will walk through that

[01:04:48] season or the feeding our faith thing that we're doing with so much fuel like we'll be excited like

[01:04:55] but anyways there are there are many different ways of feed your faith and you are right if you want to

[01:04:59] change your diet or where you are from a health standpoint concerning your diet or maybe it's

[01:05:05] weight you know diabetes, eye cholesterol whatever if you're believing God for a different body you have

[01:05:11] to start eating different that's right you got it you got to you got to switch that up but listen

[01:05:17] something I need to create a group text you know and let people know what you're going through too

[01:05:21] you don't have to do this faith feeding alone I always say the enemy gets you alone and that's

[01:05:27] his favorite place to have you is an isolation because he's going to instill doubt he's going to

[01:05:31] tell you to go back he's gonna say nobody's watching nobody knows that you said you was going to stop

[01:05:37] you know whatever you're doing you know and then there's a thing just set reminders on your phone

[01:05:42] every two hours to feed your faith what am I going to do in the next two hours I'm going to pray or

[01:05:46] I'm going to ask God for whatever this type of wisdom or I'm going to look for scripture to do this

[01:05:52] or I'm just going to do the research on where I'm believing God said to go you know so

[01:05:57] set yourself up well when it comes to feeding your faith I love this fact that we can start the

[01:06:01] little groups online now I know we have our chat group for the figs we have a chat group for

[01:06:07] holy culture you know we have different groups it's like you could start your own little chat group
