[00:16:08] That would always remain even killed

[00:16:10] And I was pretty much empty so they kind of continued to push me in ways to grow on my faith

[00:16:18] I got baptized this past off season in California before my wedding

[00:16:22] With our pastor in the wedding

[00:16:24] So last March is when I got to truly dedicate my life

[00:16:28] It was the best thing that I ever had with me

[00:16:30] Yeah, the faith from the locker room and now at home with Julia

[00:16:34] How are you able to both are able to grow together in Christ?

[00:16:38] Being in the head of the household, the foundation of our marriage is built on the word

[00:16:44] Anytime you're able to build something with that strong foundation

[00:16:46] You're not going to be easily swayed

[00:16:48] So that's kind of the thing that we strive for because the distance that we have to work through is extremely difficult

[00:16:56] It could pull you in ways that it's extremely tough or

[00:17:00] It's extremely strenuous on a relationship

[00:17:02] So being able to be rooted in the word and hold each other accountable to something much bigger

[00:17:08] To them less allows us to have a incredible marriage

[00:17:10] Last one for me, this has been a crazy week all the way around

[00:17:14] I was able to be consistent in your faith during this wacky week

[00:17:18] I think the seeds were selling a long time ago

[00:17:22] I was able to prepare myself for this week because I've been in the world throughout the past year

[00:17:28] Growing in my fate, obviously having teammates to push me each and every day

[00:17:34] It's a huge reason I'm able to be accountable to them

[00:17:38] And they're able to be accountable to me too

[00:17:40] We're never going to let each other slip

[00:39:51] and because they fight it and they don't they don't want to go

[00:39:54] through everything you need to go through in the pruning process

[00:39:58] because it's a process I know you brought up something

[00:40:01] when you talk about you know cutting off the branches

[00:40:05] I think God does a good job when you allow him to come into your life

[00:40:10] and remove unproductive things out of your life

[00:40:14] I think that's when God is testing you saying okay

[00:40:18] this is not bearing any fruit listen we need to remove it

[00:40:22] and a lot of people you know because listen what's that word they always say

[00:40:26] I'm feeling something I feel like I feel like I should be there

[00:40:31] I feel like I should be with her I feel like I should be with him

[00:40:35] no no no I feel like I got to stay in this circle even though I know I need to be

[00:40:39] out of this circle because this circle is not doing me any good

[00:40:43] that's a part where you gotta let God be God and let him cut them things off

[00:40:49] if it ain't bad fruit get up about that thing so that's why I think a lot

[00:40:54] of people wrestle because yes we are we are creatures of habit but also

[00:40:59] creatures that want to do what we want to do and that's that's the real thing

[00:41:03] why you talk about we talked about it last week lukewarm Christians and

[00:41:07] nothing very lukewarm but you know what they better be on fire now because we

[00:41:13] we definitely dropped that talk on them yeah it was good and and and God is

[00:41:19] tired okay and let's watch it those are red letters Jesus said I'm I'm I'm

[00:41:23] sicking you right right I'm sick of you like hot or cold pick one

[00:41:28] and let's let's get the stepping because y'all doing the most and you wasting a lot

[00:41:31] of time but let's think about this pruning process real quick here it's to bear

[00:41:39] more for root yes so you gotta stop taking it personal

[00:41:47] and it's the fear of missing out that's why people don't want to prune spiritually

[00:41:50] I don't want to let go of like you said this person I'm in a entanglement with or

[00:41:55] I don't want to let go of this particular eating habit or I don't want to let go

[00:41:58] of not managing my finances or I don't want to let go of not sewing my seat or ties or

[00:42:03] first for like our offering like I don't want to let go of not going to church

[00:42:07] you know at a physical building it's like the reason why God has to prune you

[00:42:13] in this spiritual season is so you'll be blessed one you'll have you'll have more to eat

[00:42:20] because why would I why do I care if I bear more fruit well more people can eat more families

[00:42:26] can be fed more seeds can fall to the ground or people can go plant those seeds and then their

[00:42:31] family can eat so it's like you're being selfish when you don't want to prune and that's

[00:42:36] the disrespect for part okay and and that's just it is what it is I just felt that in my soul

[00:42:41] you know I'm saying it's selfish you so you telling me you a whole apple tree and you in the

[00:42:48] middle of like a literal hunger desert you know these urban deserts you know I'm saying so you

[00:42:54] a whole apple tree but you refuse to be pruned so so the couple apples that you get you just eat

[00:43:00] are you serious no God prune me so that I can bear more fruit so I can feed my whole community

[00:43:06] and they can feed their children and they their children can feed their children you know

[00:43:11] and the seeds can keep getting sown but it's like we that's why we cannot risk not being pruned

[00:43:19] not at all so as I said this is this is not a process where it's it's not a snow punishment but

[00:43:25] it's like you can't take everybody with you where you're going you can't carry that thought process

[00:43:31] everywhere you're going you can't take the white man's always trying to hold me back where you're

[00:43:35] going you know you can't take a woman can't do that where where you're going so God has to prune

[00:43:42] your thoughts and your ideas you know in the in your nasty habits they have to be pruned because

[00:43:47] you ain't gonna be able to sit in that business meeting having that thought in your mind because

[00:43:50] you're gonna miss your opportunity so it's like yes let God prune you because he knows where you

[00:43:57] going you don't know but he knows which where you can't go so it's like you need to be grateful when

[00:44:03] it's pruning season you know I'm saying some things these nose out here where y'all getting

[00:44:08] nose and doors shut in your face someone has pruning nope nope my daughter my son again have that

[00:44:14] nope but God promises to finish that good work that he started in us you know like so it's like

[00:44:20] you're not missing out that FOMO has to go that fear of missing out when you're crude that crude

[00:44:25] don't accept you or that business deal falls through or you don't get that particular building is like

[00:44:30] here's Psalms 84 and 114 the Lord God is a sun and shield the Lord will give grace and glory no good

[00:44:37] thing will he withhold from those who walk up rightly so it's like we talked about send to the rent

[00:44:44] right handed a father the other day and letting our enemies be our footstools it's like we need

[00:44:48] to get right with God and the Lord loves us so if you if you have come into the fold you know

[00:44:54] everything you're going through is for your good oh they walked away from me good oh they

[00:45:00] broke up with me good oh they they divorced me good good because if you're not supposed to be here

[00:45:06] in my life as far as the east to the west I'm praying God removes you and that's the idea you have

[00:45:12] to have in your mind when it's pruning season is like if it ain't that's so funny and I know I'm

[00:45:17] gonna rent but LJNR when we we are getting ready to like go through a big purchase or we're gonna

[00:45:22] lose something I'm like Lord if it ain't mine take it take it if it ain't mine I don't want it

[00:45:27] is that my house if it ain't I don't want it is that my car if it ain't I don't want it I don't

[00:45:31] want to stretch and try to make the extra payment or go broke if it ain't mine I don't want it

[00:45:36] so it's like yeah let God prune you because God knows what you need uh so you can you know run free

[00:45:42] side no you're good I think I don't think a lot of people understand that that was powerful

[00:45:46] what you just said because in the midst of uh what a lot of people will call a loss your praying

[00:45:52] and you're reflecting on God and telling him remove this thing from me please thank you if it's not

[00:45:56] going to help me for my greater praises for my greater please thank it and a lot of people wouldn't

[00:46:00] feel that way guys I'm be honest with you they would be depressed I don't want it what you mean

[00:46:03] my car getting repossessed what you mean oh my family my family gonna think I I lost my house yeah

[00:46:09] one my friends will think I don't got that job no more yeah I don't care what I don't care

[00:46:13] what you think because my my thing is God provides he's done it before he'll do it again you know and

[00:46:19] that's just the attitude you have to know and you have to have and you have to be all right oh my

[00:46:24] credit gonna be messed up for seven years so baby you're going to walk into your greatest blessing in

[00:46:28] eight years you know I'm saying like let it go and that's what I'm saying like typically it's the pride

[00:46:33] we were talking about pride yesterday pride alive right in flesh right eyes everything and

[00:46:40] usually that's what God be pruning off because we didn't got us to help some situation we were supposed

[00:46:45] to be in so it's like if we're not gonna voluntarily lay it down not mean lay it down for good God

[00:46:52] has to cut it off you know a tree can't go back out there and pick his branch up and put it back on

[00:46:58] uh-huh it's so spiritually you have to know like when that thing is snipped and it falls to the ground

[00:47:03] leave it leave it right on there so let God prove something you know I need to start telling people

[00:47:09] no I can't already told you no ain't no coming back you just told me I'm supposed to be with you

[00:47:15] you don't call me next week talk about you coming over to two two a.m. like don't do it same thing

[00:47:20] with business deals like if this is a rap it's a rap I have to move forward you know so and

[00:47:26] like I said our pride is the only thing that keeps us from not accepting a pruning spiritually

[00:47:32] the right way and and just having a negative attitude I'm trying to tell you guys like

[00:47:37] scripture is very clear you we need to be in right standing with God so that's what I'm saying

[00:47:41] like the attitude is God prune me that's a heck of a prayer I dare you to pray it today

[00:47:47] double dog dare you this my homies I double dog why is the dog doubled I don't know

[00:47:52] we never figured out how my day was always definitely it didn't even with the triple dog

[00:47:57] the triple dog yeah you are really yeah if you're really I pray listen

[00:48:05] yeah but you know what if you want to get somewhere faster if you're trying to produce more fruit

[00:49:05] experience I think I was struggling too as well I wasn't willing to let go of some of my behaviors

[00:49:11] that was hindering my spiritual growth and for me I had to take a heart check guys I had to really

[00:49:17] look myself in the mirror and say all right do I want to change or do I don't want to check like

[00:49:24] like like either I'm going to do it or I'm not that I'm always in that boat it's like if I'm

[00:49:29] gonna hard for something whether it be good I'm gonna hard for it whether it be bad I'm gonna

[00:49:34] go on board but yes I know for me I had to I had to do a heart check because it was really some of

[00:49:41] the behaviors was on me I was to your point blame everybody else but myself because some of these behaviors

[00:49:47] I need to check I need to change so if I want my spiritual growth to go through a new level yeah

[00:49:53] I got to get myself in order so self-reflection heart check align that with God's purpose and get

[00:50:00] me in word that's what helped me get through them them truck times when I was being pruning God

[00:50:06] was pruning me and that's good though and it is tough you know I mean trust me just

[00:50:17] spiritual walk it can be you know easy for some and but challenging for most and I wanted to bring

[00:50:26] up the fig tree situation with Jesus in the Bible right Jesus walk it through fig tree had leaves

[00:50:34] on it like it should have fruit it had no fruit so you look like something you're not your cursed

[00:50:45] yeah your cursed so this was a lesson God wanted us to have as an example of

[00:50:53] there's expectation of you to bear fruit that is the expectation is an expectation that you will

[00:51:00] grow this expectation that you are what you look like and sell for a lot of churches and a lot of

[00:51:06] pastors and a lot of Christians you look like something but you have no fruit so if people start

[00:51:13] to follow you and they realize you're fake your phone you have no fruit they're going starve

[00:51:21] we're not doing that you're going to be cursed doing that you know and typically everything that's

[00:51:27] done in the dark comes to the light still concerning like ministries and stuff they fall

[00:51:31] y'all look oh I saw this big old church you know what I'm saying I got pocketline ministry

[00:51:36] you know you got ministries in Africa yeah okay you got big leaves these leaves are pretty they

[00:51:42] got my attention you know people walking over here ready to eat but when you're fruitless

[00:51:47] that is an abomination like naturally that like us being here on the earth there's

[00:51:54] expectation as soon as you know our mom gets us here we start to grow that's the expectation

[00:52:00] we don't say it baby you know there's a process when we're here that's things that we're to be doing

[00:52:05] we were made on purpose for purpose so we can't get stuck in your faith and think this is just it

[00:52:13] I've arrived okay I'm going to keep everything I've learned up until when I was in Bible school or

[00:52:19] you know children's church and that's it and I'm just gonna go live my life now oh there's more

[00:52:23] God has more for you and more for others through you and that's that's how we that's how we

[00:52:29] that's how we should be getting down so you know I don't know God loves us that's the truth you know

[00:52:38] and it's it's hard to have that mindset when you're going through but if you just take a step back

[00:52:43] and know you're gonna get through this the same way you got God brought you through everything else

[00:52:47] all right some things are getting cut off let it be cut off I never get we were in um

[00:52:54] Seattle my husband and I and we had just gotten to Seattle and he finally found a house that

[00:52:59] we could barely rent to keep all of our kids and all that and he was like uh the um

[00:53:07] electricity ain't on but the gas was on you know and I was like man bro you know I'm flying out

[00:53:14] here and we have like one mattress and we just said all right we're gonna take this mattress downstairs

[00:53:19] and put it in front of the fireplace lights was cut off but in retro spec it was like why do we need

[00:53:25] the lights on in that big old house nobody was there it was just him was like you can't afford it

[00:53:32] you even got something you got to look but but the same it so you're able to take care of

[00:53:39] of that thing that you wouldn't got because because you ain't set up you you're not financially

[00:53:43] in a good place to be able to handle this on one salary after you moved all the way across the country

[00:53:51] and ain't nobody even here anyway so it's like you know some things have to die and art what had to

[00:53:56] die was our idea of what we could afford all the time it's like yeah yeah I can't afford this half

[00:54:02] of me now I'm sorry okay then don't work like that I don't care if you make a okay you can't afford it

[00:54:09] you know like this is small amount of money for this house so it's just like we some things have

[00:54:14] to die and a lot of it is just us in our pride that's what I'm saying like just having this

[00:54:18] right of I always got to make it look like I'm taking good care of everybody and I'm a superhero

[00:54:23] and it's like yeah is that you or is that God saying take care of everybody and be a superhero check

[00:54:29] yourself because when you when you start to get pruned man it hurts when your pride is wrapped up in it

[00:54:37] you know it hurts when you put everything into something that God didn't give you

[00:54:42] whether it's a idea or something you bought or whatever a business you started and then God's like

[00:54:49] yeah I'm gonna cut that off next week you're gonna be like wait a minute wait wait wait yeah I didn't

[00:54:54] tell you to go do that what are you talking about but other people love it I didn't tell you to go

[00:54:58] do that but uh but I like her I didn't tell you I didn't tell you to be with her like you don't

[00:55:03] say like so it's like yeah we get stuck on ourselves in our pride but that pruning process is so

[00:55:11] we grow you know and that's what God wants from him wants us to eat so that's this my you know I love food

[00:55:17] so I'm like I don't understand why people don't like to get pruned I love to eat that's why I'm

[00:55:21] like oh when God takes something I know I'm about to eat that's that's what I can excite I'm like oh

[00:55:25] you cut that out I'm about to eat I love apples I love oranges I love peach it like like

[00:55:33] what so you telling me what I'm gonna prove any other day I was like make when you give your

[00:55:38] blessed that's why I love to give I'm like I will prune myself you know what I'm saying

[00:55:44] bro are you telling me you gonna so I'm gonna get more fruit yes please take that no I just want

[00:55:49] to get this way like I'll just start giving stuff away now I'm good like if I think I got a little

[00:55:53] prideful attachment to it I'm like no you can add that I've went and given for coats away literally

[00:55:58] got the car drove because somebody on Instagram was like oh I really like that coach add on the video

[00:56:03] where yeah oh I'm at such a such church got in the car focus because I was attached to the

[00:56:08] coach and I was like I don't need this coat like I was like I need more coats and that was my

[00:56:14] thought I'm about to go get this coat away but the getting cars sacrificed my time my money

[00:56:18] I don't notice girl I don't even care and when I roll up they can be like what and I don't

[00:56:24] care about that either and I'll take my behind home and you know how many coats I got now

[00:56:29] say 20 you know how many cuts I got like someone got furs on them I'm just saying like you have to

[00:56:37] know God prunes us spiritually for our growth for our growth and so we can eat and feed others

[00:56:46] the beautiful thing about it too as well guys you know after the prune season listen trust

[00:56:51] that after the prune season there will be growth in your fruitfulness and I think that's what

[00:56:56] you just you know gave the example of you sacrificing you being able to bless others and God has

[00:57:02] listened giving you abundance of fur coats and rings and that probably everything you probably

[00:57:06] wanted like you said and just trusting in that and listen if you keep that faith in that process

[00:57:13] everything else will work itself out when you talk about the spiritual fruit when you talk about

[00:57:19] the blessing of God increase wisdom from God and knowing God trusting him in that spiritual

[00:57:24] journey will just take you to a whole nother level hey boys women women men men men we're talking about

[00:57:33] yeah I'm just saying it's just a fun fact you know I was working on Whole Foods and a lady came in

[00:57:41] that she was like do you have any dried plums you know the little you know they look like a

[00:57:48] a little peach but smooth but the purple and I kept saying no she's like I saw online you have

[00:57:53] dried plums and I was like we don't have any dry plums so we were going back and forth you

[00:57:57] know and I was one of them people that went to get groceries and put the package together for Amazon

[00:58:01] and I asked somebody that worked with me I'm like do we even have dry prunes and they were like

[00:58:07] dice they're called plums prunes are plums dry so you know prunes the ones your grandmother used to

[00:58:17] make you eat if she was constipated or prune juice to get you flung yeah those are plums dice

[00:58:25] so shout out to all of you who had no idea that yeah prunes or dry plums I thought

[00:58:43] to drink to your point and only the grandmother's had this we never had this at our house but when

[01:08:32] y'all in the Midwest here where you know it's just cold so you might as well being your work because

[01:08:48] just sitting with the sitting with the word and figuring out what you need to do what what areas

[01:08:52] do you need to get better at what who do you need to let go I know it's still early in the year but

[01:08:57] y'all some of y'all need to do some pruning with some of your friends some of your circle you think

[01:09:01] that your partners you think they your friends your girlfriends or whatever you know they ain't

[01:09:05] you need to be in new circles you need a new mindset so I pray that that uh bless them guys I know
