Episode #49: Ephesians 5

[00:01:01] It's been a couple of weeks since we've done one now. But thankfully, I get back to it. We were going to be talking about the book of Ephesians chapter 5. I think it's basically a letter of Paul talking to the church in Ephesians,

[00:01:22] which is a Messianic congregation, a congregation of Jews who have accepted Christ as a Messiah and the persecution that they're going through and how they should be living their lives. And it's a very real fact that the church that they have there is not following a holy path

[00:01:40] or which Christ has called His bride, basically, the church to go through those disciplines of not being like the world, not living and saying and condoning it within the church. And definitely want to get this message out. Happy to be back.

[00:02:06] Safe James can get his audio for working or not. But ultimately, what I was getting out of this chapter in Ephesians and even in the chapter six, it goes into further things like, we should operate in the world as we'll leave.

[00:02:26] So I think chapter six is something good to look at also and really deep into it. It's not that it's not exhausted by any means to go through these verses and find our current situation in my opinion, things that we can point to directly as concrete, you know,

[00:02:45] as this building of men and say, yes, this has happened. This has been happening since the beginning of time. The church is still like this. It's true. I was like, it's just like everyone else does in life.

[00:02:57] But there's a call on the church and I call on those who are called be followers of Christ to actually take their faith and live it out in such a way that we are pure and we are actually being transformed into the person out of Christ

[00:03:15] in order to become more like him. And ultimately, that's the father's heart as he wants as to be pure and holy just like he is holy, you know, he said, be holy because I am holy

[00:03:32] and he wouldn't tell us to do that if it wasn't possible. Why would he tell us something and ask us to do something and not equip us to actually carry those things out? Just some examples. There's been times in my life where I've had people say, you know,

[00:03:52] it's impossible for someone to wait until they get married to, you know, have sexual relations with another person that's just impossible especially in today's day and age and I'm like, you know, I could say that about myself which is something to be proud of.

[00:04:14] I've never been married before but I've met a lot of other people that did the same exact thing and they got married and asked them, hey, how did that work for you? And they said, man,

[00:04:25] it was the best thing I ever did was, you know, and I'm just like, well, okay, there's a testimony right there. You know, God wouldn't tell us something that wasn't ultimately for our best

[00:04:37] interest and, you know, if we send his faithful to forgiveness for those sins but ultimately he's giving us this roadmap to say, you know, this is the best path to avoid any pain that you don't

[00:04:54] want to incur upon yourself because that's ultimately where life is, you can basically face everything in life on something you either have done yourself or not done or chose to not take action on. Probably about 90% of everything we have problems with their own doing and

[00:05:15] our own actions or any actions. So it's just that it's just screaming that the whole experience screaming that to us and saying, look, this is all within your power, you know, that way he's going to do it for you and not even God. Is it working?

[00:08:27] tonight. You know, let me feed you this chapter five and this gives me a context behind it. This is the thing that is just joining us. Um, all was writing a letter to the church in the emphasis

[00:08:40] and uh, is the church that's, you know, the salty will of struggling with this new life of following Messiah, um, Jesus Messiah, um, how did they incorporate their old wife of sin and and being reborn spirit with the Holy Spirit? And, and now let's see, to life and

[00:09:06] like, correct the bride of Christ which is the old of the goal here. It's the safest church in the, is an offering as a bride to Messiah, you know, and the light of the, and you have

[00:09:18] all of the world, you know, honestly he goes in and he can get to eat you, but I have an operate, um, you know, within the world and how you treat other people, especially focused on how believers treat

[00:09:30] one another. It does last in the just, you know, um, it's the only in the church to people kind of like in the church, one another, like the world is the world basically, you know, they only bother,

[00:09:45] you know, the church and them because they're doing their thing, but like if you're in the church like, well, we're all trying to compete here, you know, for like, like, like, you're the only

[00:09:57] picture on God's refrigerator. You're the only man in his refrigerator and he's just looking at you, and everybody else is off, he's off, they got it wrong or something. In Paul's telling everybody here, yes, you're all screwed up, you know, and here's why, and his wisdom, you know,

[00:10:14] just from, you know, the colleague he had in his life after, um, he's seeing Jesus, him, you know, being blind, you know, throwing, esk is in me, converted and changed me that very interesting from persecuting Jews who followed Jesus filled with the Holy Spirit and all this wisdom

[00:10:33] becomes to him. This they look, this is how you're gonna build my bride and he goes, it just writes a letter upon letter upon letters to different churches, one letter he wrote to the church of Leo Dicea,

[00:10:45] which was the church of a slothfulness and, and, in difference on it because the term Leo Dicea was actually named it. The town was named that because it was a town that had stagnant waters

[00:10:59] and it didn't have any running water coming through the town. There was no fresh streams or springs. So the term Leo Dicea became synonymous with stagnant and non-living, you know, water basically. So it's just interesting to know all those electric aces about how the Leo Dicea and church

[00:11:19] was like indifferent and just completely Christian and name only. And, you know, always like this is not how it should be brothers and sisters. So yeah my question is during this time,

[00:11:36] there was a lot of, because, you know, for so many years there was a lot of, you know, Jews were the chosen people and gentiles. So it just seemed like, it seemed like Paul is really teaching

[00:11:47] everybody like Jews and Gentiles together now. And I'm sure that was a difficult concept for those churches. Yeah, so I'm going to put all our stuff. Because honestly it's like a few different religions because Christianity was basically taking Judaism and changing into some,

[00:12:13] if in the eyes of most, and it's some of the Jews a lot of Jews believed in Christ. And these are the ones we're talking about. There are a lot of them didn't. They were the ones

[00:12:22] first of the Jewish, like the Pharisees and they believed Jesus was a blasphemous, you know, false prophet. And so yeah, it's like that trying to take Islam and Christianity and merge together today and say,

[00:12:37] you guys are going to agree on everything. And that just was the battle ahead of them was the devil was like, okay I'm going to have, you guys worship on Sunday, you guys still worship on Saturday,

[00:12:49] we're going to divide and conquer, we're going to do all everything we can to say, you guys don't need pork, you guys is cool. The eat pork now and just down the line. You know, it's like the

[00:13:01] Paul's just like, look, this is how it should be. It's we're going to be one family, you know, two in Gentile, one new man under Messiah. This was God's vision from the very beginning,

[00:13:13] even Jesus himself said, you know, I am a good shepherd. I've seen no my name and he said this. He said there is another flock which do not know me, but they will still know me also and they

[00:13:26] will be added to my flock and they want them and they also he's talking about the Gentiles, the ones who are not Jewish that they would also be pulled into the form of his sheep flock.

[00:13:38] And this is Paul's mission basically is to, you know, basically tell the Jews, you don't have this thought being Jewish and then tell the grief and tell the grief that you don't have to become

[00:13:52] a Jew, you know, we're all, you know, at the same time. But, you know, we should one hour in our God and the same thing that we've been honoring God for. So basically like teaching

[00:14:03] the Gentiles, this is how we've been honoring God and this is how He's told us to do it through these and through the, you know, ways of foreshipping Him and because they're clueless, you know,

[00:14:15] they worship pagan gods into this point. And He wrote the New Testament, He wrote these letters and Greek for a reason because he mostly these people that were not Jewish, and he spoke Greek,

[00:14:25] they were, you know, from Rome and Greek speak Greek. So He wrote in Greek and, you know, a lot of people spoke that language anyway, so it was easy for anybody to interpret, but that just shows you right there

[00:14:37] His main hiding was for the Greeks. Yeah, yeah that's good. So a lot of this message is, you know, we're one, we're one community now and I thought we'd just read it. I mean, this chapter is like full

[00:15:00] of all kinds of stuff. Like it is just full of information. So I mean, we won't be able to talk talk a whole lot of, on everything. But I feel like we could just read it and kind of just see

[00:15:17] where the Holy Spirit leads us or see where the Holy Spirit wants to emphasize in this chapter and kind of go from there. Yeah, so I'll read, I'll read, so chapter five, I'll read from like

[00:15:30] one to 17 and then if you want to read the rest like 18 to 33, I think it's a yeah, we'll just split it up. So this is a pretty heavy chapter. Lots of things going on here.

[00:15:49] Kind of starts off talking about imitating God and then he kind of finishes with talking about how how has been to treat their wives really cool really cool. Yeah, I'll just go into it.

[00:16:08] This is a phoenix chapter five and I'm running out of the complete Jewish study Bible this time. That's nice. Nice, my sound a little different for some of you guys but it's good stuff.

[00:16:26] Okay, chapter five. First one says so imitate God as his dear children and live a life of love just as just as also the Messiah loved us. Indeed on our behalf gave himself up as an offering as a slaughtered sacrifice to God with a pleasing fragrance.

[00:16:46] Among you there should not even be mentioned sexual immorality or any kind of impurity or greed. These are utterly utterly inappropriate for God's holy people. Also out of place our obsceneity and stupid talk or course language.

[00:17:02] Instead, you should be giving thanks for all of this. You can be sure every sexual every sexually immoral impure or greedy person that is every idol worshiper has no share in the kingdom of the Messiah and of God.

[00:17:18] Let no one deceive you with empty talk for is because because of these things that God's judgment is coming on those who disobey him. So don't become partners with them for you first eight for you used to be darkness, but now united with the Lord you are light.

[00:17:37] Live like children of light for the fruit of the light is in every kind of goodness, brightness and truth. Try to determine what will please the Lord have nothing to do with the deeds produced by darkness but instead expose them.

[00:17:52] For it is shameful even to speak of these things, these people do in secret. But everything exposed to the light is revealed clearly for what it is since anything revealed is a light.

[00:18:06] This is why it says get up sleeper arrives from the dead and the Messiah will shine on you. First, first 15. Therefore pay careful attention to how you conduct your life live wisely not unwasely.

[00:18:26] Use your time well for these are evil days so don't be foolish but try to understand what the will of the Lord is. Yeah, yeah we can not pass that. There's so much in that you know.

[00:18:45] The Holy Spirit is so gracious when you read it just one time but to read it more one time. It's even more of an eye opening. It's like picking it apart, like exercising and brain like you were meant to do

[00:19:01] but we were created to do the God wants us to actually know what he's saying. Through Paul. So just little things that are popping out. You know, first thing. Maybe a lot of people have any thought about before you know like live a life of love.

[00:19:22] You know people probably know even think about that. It's like well I don't receive a lot of love from people so why should I waste my energy is what they think. Probably it's like it's not even worth it. You know I love certain people

[00:19:38] but am I going to love the person who's my enemy am I going to love the person who I had to turn the other cheek for or else it was going to be of an incident. You know that kind of stuff and just simple things

[00:19:50] that it's like it's too simple for us because our selfishness just like he said later on it's like you know any kind of impurity, fixulum, or like your greed, they're under the inappropriate but you know it says you know every sexual humor and moral impurity per

[00:20:11] every person. And when you just like you know you talking to yourself, you're worth it being self. You know it's self because it's new to do all of those things to meet greedy.

[00:20:27] Greed is a selfish thing to do to make somebody you know taste all of them because they're forced to think. I don't know you know it's all of we take selfies today. Our language itself is probably a preposterous to have and they're looking down like

[00:20:51] wow they just do the opposite of what guy wants them to become pretty opposite. You know we don't even realize we're our own idols. We're going to talk about sexual impurity or impurity is talking

[00:21:05] to the singles you know our spouse could be our idol and not even realize it our kids could be our idol. Our dogs could be one you know have you seen some crazy people like that

[00:21:21] this my soul brain wash and yet we think we're good like our language today too is like some ACEs are you good and somebody's like yeah I'm good or it's all good and you're like

[00:21:37] what the heck we're so lost we're saying things that aren't true at all. Nothing it you know have you seen the world we're living it where are you living and you know where

[00:21:47] the heck have you been in your whole life? Not to mention these are some sources no one is good but God when they say good teacher he's like no one is good but God and we've completely

[00:21:59] been douged in the using just charging you just saving ourselves with every word we speak deceiving the other person at the same time like oh you're good you're good you know instead of

[00:22:12] letting our yes be yes and our no be no and just being like hey are you okay or hey how have you been earlier and you instead like I'm good you know that's not technically the correct English is

[00:22:26] I'm doing well you know it's actually it's actually we've taken the word good and then and just blank it and no everything like oh yeah that you know that that food was good or something

[00:22:38] is like you know it's like it's food you know or something you know just we've taken things like when somebody says well that pizza was awesome I feel like heaven is looking down and saying awesome

[00:22:52] so how are is awesome you're gonna but you know if you've already used the word awesome on a slice of pizza now what you can use when you're talking about a miracle that does right before

[00:23:08] your very eyes awesome was already wasted on that on that stupid piece of pizza which you're going to digest and then get rid of and it's going to go down to the sewer and you've already

[00:23:20] wasted the word awesome on it you know or that's down's awesome you know it's like how about read the word God and say that's awesome that this is even coming through like this and I'm

[00:23:31] actually being able to maintain any of so when he says course language and said we should be giving things that's the same thing it's like you know are you really thankful for those things when you're

[00:23:46] just saying awesome over everything you know you're actually just using blanket terms for just the just to be like yes everything's awesome I just they're awesome for you know you can't just say yeah

[00:23:58] yeah you know it was alright or you know I liked it you know just use plain language you know but that wasn't to see this in any you know that concert was awesome you know that football game

[00:24:12] that I spent four hours watching but I can't spend 20 minutes in church listening to a sermon from the word of God or fellowshiping with my brother and sister you know that church service better be

[00:24:23] out on time because if not I'm walking out because I gotta go bust the game you know I gotta get on that game and watch it live so show it's just some things that exactly you know and this is Paul

[00:24:37] even in this day and age you know just don't be fooled by these things that you won't even realize or happen to you unless it's pointed out to you and that's why he's doing is like

[00:24:50] I'm sure there's so many people they were like I can't it's I'm sure there are so many people that was like I don't see what the big deal is this guy's just pestering us and they give me a great

[00:24:59] you know I just got saved you know I don't you know they don't know what they've been saved from I've been telling them what they've been saved from and why this is very seriously and then

[00:25:11] there's the whole group of people that listened him was like yes we do need to repent and we do need to have a revival in the church we need to expel the evil in the church

[00:25:21] and the sin that everybody's living and donning and you know this is something in church if you really focus on some churches do a really work that's good man yeah I think you were

[00:25:35] you were touching on your touching on Paul trying to teach him like what love is and I was thinking about the thing about the word agape which is the Greek word for love which is how

[00:25:52] we which is how we we can understand the love of God which is you know sacrificial unselfish unconditional love and that it's a love that proves itself through actions and you know he's teaching them that like God made this incredible accomplishment and defeated

[00:26:20] evil and death with this unbelievable act of love through his son and yeah just yeah really I really I love that our culture you know talks about one of the devil's biggest

[00:26:39] deceiving things is that love is love and you know no matter what love is what wins and you know things like that and it's like no man like you it's just like the word good like

[00:26:51] like you yeah Jesus was teaching us like the culture at that time you don't even know what good is God is good just like you don't even know what you don't even quite understand what love is

[00:27:03] like this this world doesn't even know what love is God is love you know right so I really feel like that's what Paul is doing here too is walking them through getting to understand what God's character is and us imitating that yeah absolutely I mean there's

[00:27:24] people into that they kept all the commandments the the wristman told Jesus I've done all these things since my youth and then he said go and sell everything that you owned and then you've come follow me

[00:27:35] he walked away very sad because he was very wealthy and his God was his Richard so even somebody who thought they had kept the laws and they were in the right standing with God it didn't mean anything

[00:27:48] to Christ Christ was like this means nothing and and because he knew as hard already and he said if you're not only thinking about God then you cannot follow this God this son of God and like you were saying

[00:28:03] about the sacrifice and love being an accident with this birth year where it says he gave him soap up as an offering willingly gave himself up on he said I have the authority to lay my body down

[00:28:18] and the authority to take it back up and also no one takes my life I lay it down willingly and just that it was a pleasing fragrance to God that's kind of hard to wrap your mind around like

[00:28:34] it was pleasing to God to crush him or our enquity you know that to go through it this act you're talking about which is actual real life that the world does not know and so of course we don't

[00:28:46] know how to love one another we don't know the love of the father and what he's actually set out to do is save us from our own direction that the part where it's just you know we're

[00:29:00] just I still I still I'm graduate from that thought of Jesus just willingly dying on the cross like as a Bible says you know the Bible says he died for us while we were still sinners

[00:29:16] like he chose to still do it knowing the future knowing the things that was going to happen knowing like even just you could just make it individually for yourself like like Jesus gave us a pathway to the father and heaven knowing that we would rebel

[00:29:38] someday knowing that we were going to you know disrespect him disobey some of us don't even you know believe at first you know Jesus did all of that knowing that those things would happen so that's unbelievable the nature of that selflessness that future like like

[00:30:02] that willingness to do it anyway knowing that like people don't act that way if you knew somebody was going to betray you or if you knew somebody was going to disobey you and screw you over you know

[00:30:13] in the future like you'd be like get away from me you know I don't want your friend I don't want I don't want to do that with you and so I just I just marvel at the nature that God is the way

[00:30:27] that he is his character is nothing that we we can't we it's hard to comprehend sometimes because we wouldn't act that way no well I mean especially when Paul's telling them not to associate these people don't become partners we he's actually telling us he's actually telling us

[00:30:49] not to be like that in certain it's because he's talking about the theory he's not talking about avoiding the world avoiding sinners he's talking about someone who claims to be a believer but as yet a complete out of worship or sexual immoral uh greedy person don't even

[00:31:09] don't become partners with these people so there is like a time and place for us to actually not have that unconditional love but we still love the person but we don't love the sin for their own

[00:31:24] sake and so there's actually telling us you're not Christ you didn't die for the world you know in order to preserve your own life and your own safety and in the description you can't associate

[00:31:37] with those people it's actually like I'm also a commandment and not yolk yourself with not believers basically saying believers who are just believers in name only you know honestly yeah and you

[00:31:50] shouldn't you have yourself with the world also but um you know what I forgot what you were saying man that that's for me for me you know who would do that for anyone else and I also think you know

[00:32:08] before he came as a as a man uh is the god god man he saw how he man and he was before that and how lost they were and then during his 33 years on the earth he saw the wickedness around him

[00:32:25] and all of the greed taking place and when he walked into the temple and they were changing money in the temple basically ripping people off is what they were doing for their sacrifices and stuff they would charge exorbitant prices to the gentiles and separated the gentiles from the

[00:32:43] intercourse which was discrimination and racism all these things angered him and said it is said that my hip father's house would be a place of worship and you'd meet a dead of thieves that he was telling right away they're they're they're stealing from people they're

[00:33:00] charging someone twice the price for a go or for or something so they could go off or sacrifice in the temple for their for their sin and they can they can offer that animal as a sacrifice

[00:33:13] and so he went there whipping people and struggling drove him out but then I think the guys are they are right back in yeah it's crazy to think that the sacrifice was actually right there now

[00:33:26] Jesus is right there so that's the crazy thing is like they're charging them for these animals to go sacrifice and they're and feel like Jesus was walking in there like I'm the sacrifice now

[00:33:39] I'm gonna like I'm you know need to like you don't need to do this anymore like I don't know how how true that is but I feel like that's partly why Jesus was so upset with you know religious

[00:33:53] tradition was they couldn't they weren't you know they weren't breaking from that religion they were taken advantage of people yeah and yet claiming to be holy they're in the temple of God and Jesus is like this is how much zeal he had for his father's house he says

[00:34:12] he only came to do with the father s into nothing else it knew anything on his own power it with the father as him it was obedient to the father so when he saw this father's house being

[00:34:26] being disrespected in this manner and blasting with an holiness and just all kinds of discrimination to a torsor people and then there was different hierarchies in there the rich people you know whatever animal they wanted to sacrifice and then you like a poor person with maybe

[00:34:46] a kid in your life so that he sacrificed a pigeon for their sins and it was the same in the Lord's eyes is if somebody bought a goat or something that was more expensive just like

[00:34:58] the story of Jesus pointing out to the old woman who went in and put it like her last sent into the offering fleet and he told us this side was looking at that he put her last

[00:35:10] earnings into the plate knowing that was the last she would have for a while you know no greater love generosity have I seen then someone like this unfold display you know when you have everyone else you know they're stealing from people they're greedy

[00:35:29] they're overcharging people and collecting all the money the task collectors were the worst of them all everyone hated them because they would take so much off the top for their own pocket look

[00:35:40] and then he sees this old old woman who had no obligation in her old age and probably needed to save every penny she could be old and and then you take care of herself put her past pens

[00:35:57] it was just a picture that you know it's the heart thing I looked at and Jesus was like this is not getting stand you know I came for this very reason to set things right to remove the

[00:36:12] profane things from the holy place you know think man my grandmother did a good sermon on that to remove the profane from the holy places like when they Israel returned after exile

[00:36:25] and was able to get to land back the first thing they did was they went into the temple and they lit the flame in the temple which was supposed to stay on 24 hours a day because it

[00:36:39] was first prayer to get that temple operating so the warrior's god could be you know comfort they could have that back again they went in and removed all these pagan statues that

[00:36:51] had been put in there by the by the Greeks they destroyed them they got rid of all the profane things because that was first order of business to have everything said so they could go in and offer

[00:37:01] sacrifice without any hindrance to their holy because I you know everything was done for a specific reason I mean it's admirable to see these stories from the Jewish people on how much things

[00:37:15] taking like the storyhonic of what the but the menorum and they defended it with their lives you know basically held up inside the temple to make sure to be while they're rather in a battle basically you

[00:37:29] know to make sure to flame them to go out just all those things really give me pause yeah and yet you know we take a meeting today or something the way they're meeting and they probably

[00:37:44] only have been working with that it's just a tradition yeah and communion was meant to remember was meant for remembrance so that's interesting right um I don't know what what I hit me real quick

[00:38:02] and then we'll read the rest of it um what hit me when he says let no one deceive you with empty talk and um man is there so much empty talk in Christian ministry like because of social media

[00:38:20] I just I don't know that just hit me like a ton of bricks like I was just like thank goodness the word of God mentions that like right so much empty talk on like tiktok and and YouTube

[00:38:34] rills and things like that and it's just none of it is is biblical um and everything is about you know growing a ministry and you know making or again making ourselves look good prosperity yeah prosperity so you know and then you know so don't become partners with them

[00:38:59] and it's like how many people are becoming partners with these people that are teaching them empty talk and then they come back and you know they say oh this person harmed me you know later on

[00:39:12] and it was like well that person wasn't even you know that person's not even a Christfall or like yeah just because they're a pastor does that like you know um they didn't have your interest

[00:39:58] to explain the cosmos and I guarantee you involves using my not current substances like mushrooms and things because they were talking about that also and how they opened their third eye and I'm like okay that's definitely where I get out said you know your phone got you know

[00:40:18] talking about opening another dimension that God never speaks about in the mouth and his word whatsoever he says come to me and if you if you want to know the secrets of life

[00:40:30] come to me don't go to a sorcerer don't go to anyone else who a seeer that it is only right 5 or 10% of the time because they're just lucky to guess something and take it and you know

[00:40:44] think the devil can make that person right when you go to talk with him at least one time so that you get hooked on and say oh my gosh I'm gonna speak to my dead relative how or something

[00:40:56] the devil is not you know he's not done he knows exactly what he's doing exactly it's like like friends anybody listening like if you want to hear from God open the Bible first you know get to reading your Bible like you'll be able to to

[00:41:19] discern a lot of this a lot of this jump is empty talk that Paul is talking about and yeah he don't need to do shrumes to like people are so desperate to hear from God

[00:41:31] they don't even realize they there's a there's a ton of words from God right here and the in this and this Bible you know I mean this this book by itself will blow your mind

[00:41:44] more than more than mushrooms would yeah and and and to be honest it'll blow your mind in a negative way too because I first saw stories of people actually encountering God on mushrooms

[00:41:56] and it wasn't a pretty sight where he said there was a bunch of demons talking who is sitting in a giant hand and there was a bunch of demons talking to God and saying this person keeps coming

[00:42:09] into our realm and he won't stop you he needs to stop coming and messing with our things and then there's no there's no talk from the head giant hand right and then Jesus comes

[00:42:23] walking up to the person who says how about we don't do that again and this is a Christian who took mushrooms thinking they were going to get more spiritual that was his experience and it's kind

[00:42:35] of freaky but basically that was his encounter and he said I come back and try and do that Jesus was Jesus in his love and and forgive this was like look he did something that wasn't

[00:42:50] supposed to be done because you have free will you are you are trifling in things that are not supposed to be done yeah you're supposed to encounter God God sent me so that you could have a relationship

[00:43:03] within these things the other avenues are all a pitfall and and strongholds for demons to take over in your soul I can go ahead and study in the nice part of your yeah go for the first

[00:43:22] so first 18 18 yeah yeah for sure it says don't get drunk with wine because it makes you lose control instead keep on being filled with your singing songs hymns and spiritual songs to each of

[00:43:43] seem to the father in the name sing to the Lord and make music in your heart to him always give things for everything the Lord the father in the name of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah submit to one another

[00:43:58] fear of Messiah why it's just to make their husbands as a new to the Lord because the husband is head of the wife just as the Messiah head of the Messianic community is himself the one who keeps

[00:44:11] the body safe just as the Messianic community the mess of the Messiah so also why should submit to their husbands and everything as for husbands love your wife just as the Messiah of the Messianic

[00:44:23] community indeed he gave himself up on his behalf in order to set it apart for God making clean their immersion in the mix that so I think that is sort of so to speak in order present

[00:44:41] the Messianic community to himself as a bride to be proud of without a spot wrinkle or any such thing but holy and without defect this is how husbands ought to love their wives like their own bodies

[00:44:57] for the man who most his wife is loving himself why don't whatever hated his own flesh on the contrary he feeds it well and takes care of it just as the Messiah does the Messianic community

[00:45:11] because we are parts of this body therefore a man will leave his father and mother and remain with his wife and the two will become one there's profound truth in here which I say concerns the

[00:45:22] Messiah and the Messianic community however the text also applies to each of you individually my each man love his wife he doesn't so he that the wife or space for husband

[00:45:34] good stuff oh my gosh there's so much in there we could do a whole another episode on just that yeah you're right you're right I just I guess you know just some that up it's basically saying look

[00:45:49] there's these ways that the world finds pleasure and finds some sort of a lost you know less full state which is to get drunk with wine you know things like that but he's telling us to be

[00:46:03] filled with spirit and they'll be foolish and speak as I understand what the world of the Lord is and like you said it's in this fort is in this words in the Bible and then prayer asking him to

[00:46:16] directly what it would or you know it says they have pay careful attention to how you can depth your life live wisely not unwisely how many people are carefully paying attention to how

[00:46:30] they can do or is every single day going through the motions and are ready to be worth them to be it because you don't put enough on us on your own life you're not worth it enough to actually

[00:46:43] control your own mind and actually take the actions it need to be taken to be the best person fact that you need to be yeah and I like a verse verse 25 it's translated a little different in this one

[00:47:02] but I know it's it's talking about one of the ways to one of the you know most loving things you can do to your wife is immerse her which is like baptize her in the word of God so

[00:47:18] one of the one of the best things that you can do as a husband is redebibble with your wife yeah yeah so that's like one of those things I think is really interesting is just in my experiences

[00:47:37] a lot of women you know follow a lot of prosperity gospel teachings and things like that and it's because it's not biblical they don't have anybody that's willing to to read the word with them not that they not that women can't read the Bible themselves

[00:48:00] but yeah I just think it's one of those it's just one of those unbelievable things that we we forget to do I think a lot of Christian men forget to do is sit down and read the Bible with your

[00:48:15] wife so it'll transform the way that you love her and look like this whole section I think most people don't even know about you know loving loving your wife as your own body like you know

[00:48:28] I don't even think churches really teach this this part because people can't seem to get past the idea of women submitting to their husbands like it sounds like he's supposed to be controlling or something

[00:48:41] so yeah I feel like a lot of churches don't even teach on this but it's like you need to teach this part you know it's there's so much in it that nobody even knows about that we're not talking

[00:48:52] about you're right because a lot of it comes from the very real prospect that there's a hierarchy that guides head up for man and woman under Messiah also where Messiah is the head of

[00:49:08] the man the man is the spiritual leader for the family and the woman is underneath the man to be guided by him and children are underneath the woman so that they can be guided by her

[00:49:22] it is all designed like this and they're trying to destroy the nuclear family you know saying you don't need a man in the house or you know you can be a single parent

[00:49:32] and it will go just fine you know if that guy's like no this is exactly how it should be you know Messiah under God man under Messiah woman under man in love of you know like usually

[00:49:48] but to make to your husband's first picture when you're wife enough and love her and I was like Christ loved the church and like you love yourself and then your kids would be blessed

[00:50:00] because your woman your wife is going to feel if they want to be led they want to be guided by a spiritual leader you know and a lot of men don't take on that Jewish culture that was absolutely

[00:50:14] the father of the house was the one who every time they said down to eat he orchestrated the prayer they gave thanks he was the one responsible for teaching the household the word of God

[00:50:28] to sit down with them like God commanded Moses to sit down and go over these things when you eat when you lie down when you wake up you know when you're just hanging out in the house you go over

[00:50:40] the Torah study God's word and that was their job if they didn't do that they failed and that's by most Jews knew exactly what Jesus was talking about when he referenced all testement prophecies

[00:50:52] they had read these things from the time they were used and there was not negotiable for them imagine if it was not negotiable for us in our spiritual lives to be in the word

[00:51:05] and I think a lot of people think it is negotiable it's not really that important you know so but that's where we have the downfall and the breakdown of the family the nuclear family

[00:51:18] and our society today where everybody goes for their own selfish reasons to their own directions and every member of the family is on their own path and it's just not the way God said it

[00:51:31] up for us if I'm from Adam and Eve Adam and Eve he told them this is how it's gonna be you know and then they had children and responsibility to take care of that and to pass on to them

[00:51:46] you know what there was over these years what they learned and it's definitely a lot of good meeting here man of course all is saying it is just like the church and Christ the church is

[00:52:01] the bride of Christ and so he's making this correlation that Christ treats the church this way social should the bride keep themselves holy for the room which is Christ and the and the

[00:52:17] groom will take care of the bride you know and he's talking about husbands and why how they should be treating what it's all and just the correlation there is like God said it up from the beginning

[00:52:29] marriage is going to be my representing of the relationship I want to have with everyone of my creation this selfless life comes out of marriage and comes out of sacrificing you know Jesus sacrificed himself

[00:52:48] but we can't sacrifice ourselves for someone who's you know yoke to us by marriage or you know becomes one flesh with us you know that's one flesh with yourself but you can't humbly yourself enough

[00:53:01] to realize hey I was supposed to take a leadership role in this situation as the man and she's supposed to come under me so that I can you know but still this upon her and so she can

[00:53:14] bestow this upon the children if we have them and raise that raise those children with to where their lives are less painful than ours more you know that's every parent's goal

[00:53:25] if I think it's the razor cheese better than they were raised and showed and be able to give them for the name of the woman yeah and I think a lot of people have accepted advocacy definitely

[00:53:40] yeah I was you know a study sociology at CU and a lot of what we see in relationships is nowadays a lot of women are the leaders of the household and if most women were honest they're miserable if they're the leader if they're making the decisions

[00:54:08] because they weren't they weren't designed to do that and so you know feminist everywhere you know they think this is misogynist or whatever but you know yeah they're miserable yeah but but they're miserable you know I'm sure every I'm sure every woman who is the leader of

[00:54:29] her household is miserable stressed out and and the man is probably miserable also because he's not he's not leading he's just taken a step back and you know he's not doing this

[00:54:42] is wrong yeah exactly so as we see with you know the Trinity you know Jesus submits to the father but you know in the Holy Spirit submits to Christ but it's not like you know there

[00:54:58] words their worth is different they're equal they have they have different roles though and so yeah right man I really yeah I really advise anybody who's married or in a relationship

[00:55:16] to read a few days five 18 through 33 I mean it's it was pretty life changing for me I heard a lot of things that I had never heard before you know things like true your wife like your own body

[00:55:31] I and you know you know we grew up in a Christian culture and I've never heard any of this stuff it's because churches just completely skip this because feminists have made it

[00:55:44] so terribly to talk about to say a woman should submit to a husband like we have the devil has completely twisted that and made it into oh you're being abused by you're supposed to be controlled

[00:55:56] by this man it's totally way off well it goes back to Adam and Eve also where the devil was basically telling Eve you don't even need your husband's permission yeah go ahead and eat the fruit

[00:56:09] and actually ask you eat the fruit offer at the end and go take you from the manipulation that was in an effect there where he was like oh I better listen to my wife even then so we want

[00:56:23] to be independent of her husband and the devil was like you can be you can't you don't work don't worry nothing nothing's gonna go wrong here at all you know you guys didn't talk this over once

[00:56:35] but just go through with it cross your fingers it's not gonna nothing you're not you're not gonna die you know God just doesn't want you to become like him you know ultimately what

[00:56:48] Satan's goal was for himself was to become greater than God he's telling them how about you try what I tried and it'll work for you like you like straight out you know knowing what was going

[00:57:01] to happen that sin was getting to come over there it was like he projected his own misery and his own situation onto humanity and God knew this was gonna happen like here we go this is the

[00:57:14] dichotomy and how we have we have good needful and we have the knowledge of good and that's where the bank was prognously in every aspect of life knowing that there is a good but that we choose

[00:57:25] evil over and good is just enough to make you go insane if all we have to stay grounded the truth here yeah there there was one last thing that's up in here and people talk about

[00:57:36] but the assassination has come down to Trump and you know every letter in the Hebrew alphabet has a numerical equivalent to it it's got a number attached to every letter in their alphabet and I think there's something we said for all those scriptures how they were

[00:57:56] numbered chapter inverse which is honestly only for study purposes it doesn't mean that this first right here means anything just because it has this number attached to it but people were saying the time that the bullets rang out at the species you was taking

[00:58:17] rate the bullets to is near the time was 6-11 and so somebody went looked up Ephesians 6-11 which is the book we're studying now and it says it says use all the armor and weapon

[00:58:33] reave that got provides so that you will be able to stand against the depth of the adversary just just something to think about where it's like okay somebody thought enough to

[00:58:46] to go look this number up in in the regions and say I know that verse they said 11 you know how people here in 11 a lot see 9 11 on the clock a lot and it's a everything but

[00:58:58] just because guys we're looking at it the exact time and you can get into some spooky things with numerology so don't get me wrong. Gamotry and stuff like that which is the numerology and Judaism

[00:59:13] but you know there is an evil force and then there's a force that is actually claiming as protection of him when he said this is the last thing I'm going to say about the SS nation because

[00:59:27] it's too painful and relived this situation but I will say the only reason that I wasn't killed this day was because God was on my side and that was worse straight out of Trump from out

[00:59:41] a couple days ago and I'm like hey at least he's acknowledged the very real fact that somebody else lost their life that day because of the boy protecting their kids straight

[00:59:53] boy he was covering his kids and he was the one who killed saving his kids life but I think age shots were wrong and he turns his head and only his ear gets me and he said he also added this

[01:00:10] little to that he said you know I knew it could only be a bullet in my ear because of what happened and how it felt and so you know I felt immediate panic in the moment but somehow I felt very comfortable

[01:00:24] and very safe and that's what he added because I knew God was on my side you know in that moment and I'm like man virgin fire and there's been so many times in my life I've had so many

[01:00:37] our accidents in my life where I walked away unscathed you know miracle on miracle on miracle of rolling my Jeep you know it hides beads and not having a scratch on me realizing that was

[01:00:54] divine intervention and I didn't feel traumatized from it you know I was not like God puts a blanket over trauma and over if we had day's experience the fullness of our pain in life you think you're going

[01:01:08] to pain normally I feel like God puts it kind of a shield on our pain and just kind of damped it for us but we've had absolutely lose our minds over the things that we've experienced in life

[01:01:21] he's he's healing us without us even realizing it. Amen dude I was good stuff we're running out of time so I'm definitely going to read the rest of season six this is you know we're Paul talks

[01:01:39] about putting on you have a full armor God and I love that I love the I like meditating on this section just over and over. Yeah yeah and that's after me talking about how you do everything for God no

[01:01:57] matter who you're doing work for you know it's blazing master she talks about and how you do everything to please God and you know you don't do it for any other reason and glorify the Father.

[01:02:31] you know read these read these chapters um I think a lot of churches miss the ball on on reading this because you know it might be offensive or something which is ridiculous and and the other real

[01:02:47] fact that you can't you can't read something and not apply it for it to take hold in your life so they know what's willing to apply this so they're not going to bother reading it you know it's

[01:02:59] gonna waste a time they just already see through it they're like yeah this is just going to rip a lot of people in wrong way they're gonna say yeah that's not for me and it's going to do more

[01:03:11] damage than if they didn't read it in the first place you know and that's the sad reality where no one's willing to do the work so why you can tell them about it and that's it but Paul was

[01:03:22] willing to put himself out there and say hey this is true and you're this is wrong and it needs to be fixed and this is how you fix it you give us a blueprint of how to fix it you say you can't

[01:03:36] point something out as wrong without having a solution for it otherwise you're just a fool you know no one's going to listen to you if I say hey we got a problem here okay and

[01:03:47] someone asked me well what's the solution and I have no freaking idea I should have just kept my mouth shut because now I've addressed something made it known to people that there's a problem

[01:03:58] and I didn't give them the solution to it I've made them worse off than they were before they even heard me talk right and then you know in a reason five it says you know let as we were talking

[01:04:12] about let no one deceive you with empty talk for is because of these things that God's judgment is coming on those so man that's just your coming on right so you might want to be careful

[01:08:15] example of someone who really had a heart for saving souls and bringing them to you God the bridge the only way to the father Lord he said no the way that's truth in the life and then nobody comes to

[01:08:29] you but through him he then believes in him should have eternal life and not just life after this one but life abundance in this life all here and now that's we don't just wait for the kingdom

[01:08:49] to come we want to kingdom to come down to this earth's God and help us to bring it here we pray for strength and perish for one who has a heart for you God and that she would mold us into

[01:09:04] the son or daughter that she have created us to be God and just glorify you in her way too we pray for also we pray for healing and blessing on your church and your people God we play

[01:09:21] for blessing on those that don't know you got it so that you would be glorified and use us and use these hands and feet you know life and cycles like Jesus to to be show people that

[01:09:35] hope in that reality that you are concerned and you see everything and every fear we cry is collecting God you've got a vile of all of our tears that you're going to show us one day and say I collected

[01:09:49] every one of these and now these tears they're going to be before them out now you don't need to cry another there will never be anymore weeping or sadness or pain in the kingdom of them so we thank you

[01:10:04] some much for your love and what you have a store for this earth or God's love the world he had his son is only son so that he whoever believes in him should not perish but have a

[01:10:21] eternal life so the world is very much the love of your life God and I'm sure some popular beliefs that you are indifferent to our suffering God is never been liked it so we perpetrated

[01:10:36] truth God and you must have power and strength in you we love you and thank you we pray all this in your son's name and power us to carry this out and fill us with the Holy Spirit
