[00:00:01] Thank you for listening to the Finding Neverland Podcast. Finding Neverland is a Christian Metalcore band based in Denver, Colorado. This episode was broadcasted live. Hello. Oh, you. You can't see nothing. Alright. This is dark in here, man. Yeah, it might be my new light. Welcome, everybody.
[00:01:06] This is Finding Neverland Podcast number 40. We're getting at number 40. Thank you guys for always watching every week, tuning in on Facebook, YouTube, Twitch. Tonight's kind of a special night for our band. So tonight we got...we had a topic planned for the show.
[00:01:32] And we were going to talk about since Passover is coming up. We were going to talk about Jesus and how Passover... How the Passover... The Passover holiday points towards Jesus as our Messiah. And so we're going to talk about that topic for a little bit.
[00:01:55] For maybe 30 minutes of this show, we're going to do that. Oh, that's some good light. Got a little bit of better light if you're watching us online. So you can see us a little more. See our beautiful faces. That's a lot better.
[00:02:12] So yeah, we're going to talk about Passover and how it points to Jesus as the Messiah. What's just good to be back. We took off last Friday because it was good Friday. Typically we're not going to do a show on holiday weekends,
[00:02:31] but we might change that for no reason. So we're going to talk about Passover a little bit and then we had some really exciting news. Hopefully he's okay with a sharing. But tonight our drummer, just as sudden, is actually getting baptized tonight in Colorado Springs.
[00:02:52] And this is a huge deal for him and for his life and for what he's been through. And so we're super excited for him. And I think he gave us the live stream of it. So I would love to somehow at maybe 737-40 switchover,
[00:03:11] and we can watch the live stream of him getting baptized. So we'd love for you guys to join us. And we're going to hopefully watch that together. He's being baptized at new life church in Colorado Springs. So we'll see how that works.
[00:03:29] Not sure if it'll go through, but we'll at least watch it and share our thoughts on it. And we just want to say, just as we love anybody. And we're so excited that you're making this decision to become a new creation and Christ.
[00:03:46] It's the best decision of all time that you can ever make. So yeah, joined by Luke Weaver and a man that's, you know, a public representation of the teamwork and commitment. Yeah. And just proud of him for stepping out and, you know, for doing that.
[00:04:09] We just couldn't make it. You know, we're going to go down to Mar and do our first group practice with all three of us. So that's it really exciting. You used to announce, we're going on in the run through our songs.
[00:04:22] I mean, games aren't ever enter on the other days. Going sounds really good. Just like a well-loved machine, reading it well-dose. Yeah. Just every time we turn around. And not every single time I guess, you know, feel like God's showing us something new or leading us somewhere.
[00:04:45] We didn't even know in the next step was going to be. Yeah. So we're just thankful for all of that and for all the prayers that people might send our way.
[00:04:56] And like we always try to say, I mean, we're here to offer that service to anybody else that needs to. Yeah. It needs prayer or somebody to talk to about anything. You know, we have answers and it's all in God's word. Just it. So anyways, yeah.
[00:05:19] The topic, yeah, I think is a really good topic for, you know, just, just time a year. We have Easter just paths which, you know, the Christian church has a job today as the resurrection day. Yeah.
[00:05:35] And we have good Friday, which, you know, represents Christ dying and he was very, but since he was very for three days and three nights. So right on, on a court in our reality, good Friday to Sunday morning. It's not really. Yeah, doesn't even make it.
[00:05:55] Doesn't even have up on us. So right away, we didn't see the intention behind this with important. And we get into how Easter has pagan roots and you know those kinds of things but to be honest. One of the talk more about.
[00:06:12] It's about what we will be celebrating for I guess, you know, of course. But more importantly, to me, I think this time of year. Not that celebrating Christ's resurrection isn't something I do.
[00:06:27] I just know that there's a different holiday that got already gave to the Jewish people but ultimately to the world that. And it's pretty intently showed that his son was Yeshua Jesus Christ. And his Passover and, you know, there's a certain way you celebrate this feast.
[00:06:55] It's like a week long feast. And everything about it is symbolic and I've just been getting into it recently and really want to start celebrating it myself. I've gone to one Passover Seder which is like a Passover meal makes the lead to them.
[00:07:12] And it's where you have the initial meal and it's what Christ was doing the night. He was arrested with his disciples. He was having the Passover meal with them.
[00:07:25] And, you know, that's when he said, this is my body which is broken free to eat it in her memory and send me. Yeah, and here's my blood poured out for all mankind and he pours the wine. He says, drink it. Remember remember remember send me.
[00:07:42] So all these, all the symbolism here is just a, I'm starting this mind below. More about it. Yeah. Yeah. So we got. So I wanted to, so we know.
[00:07:57] So this is the Passover Seder is the traditional dinner that Jews partake of. And so that's, so you're saying exactly the, the Jesus in the Hitz last meal was the Passover. Yeah, Seder, which I think ultimately is not a meal that you get full on.
[00:08:20] And let's say regular food after the fact, but the symbols that they use to celebrate. I think I guess I can go into some of the, when you've got to hold the, the, the Israelites, the biggest thing with the Hebrews at this point.
[00:08:37] But since they had been delivered for Egypt, he told them, this is how you can remember, the delivered you from Egypt with, you know, on my right hand.
[00:08:46] You know, and it's called Passover because of the first, the last plague that got sent upon the land was the killing of the first war of every household. They didn't put the blood of a lamb over the over their door posts around it.
[00:09:03] And it symbolizes the Holy Spirit or the angel of death passing over those houses and saying, okay, they're covered. They're covered. I can't, but the ones that didn't put the blood over their door posts, the first born in their household was killed and then ultimately,
[00:09:20] Pharaoh's son was, was his life was taken. That might also, but you know, God tells the, the Hebrews, this is how we're going to celebrate it. And, and there's certain ingredients to the meal that you have, like, there's a lamb shank,
[00:09:38] which obviously represents the lamb or the blood of the lamb that they've smeared all over the, because obviously what are you doing? You're just taking all the from the lamb probably using it like a paintbrush. Yeah, yeah, so that's what it symbolizes.
[00:09:53] Honestly, you just had different ingredients to the meal, also like the mozzarella, which is on the bread. It represents, you know, there's no lemon in it, so it's not a really flat bread.
[00:10:06] There's no yeast in it, and yeast is referred to many times that yeast has been being sinned or things that we need to cut out of our lives. And, you know, so that's why you're only on yeast even today.
[00:10:19] It's like, it's like, oh, we can't use anything with leaven or anything with yeast in it. So everything has to be mozzarella. And I mean, because here I am in the store, yeah, day two and be on the, what's all this mozzarella?
[00:10:30] Because I thought that was only like one night talking about nuts like a week long event. So if they eat bread eating that, which is basically a cracker.
[00:10:41] And it's meant to be biased and it's meant to remind you of how content you are as a whole person be holding because I'm holding. And that's, you know, ultimately what we should strive for.
[00:10:56] But I'm just, this is just a little tip that's I think from, you know, we're connecting genesis to the new test and honestly with Jesus actually celebrating this feast also. Yeah, but then ultimately being the past of what he is the past of our land for the world.
[00:11:13] Like do modern Christians even know this stuff? I think I don't think they're really care. Yeah, like I was just saying. Like I growing up, I never heard like that there was that much connection with this.
[00:11:25] See this is I think this is the huge disservice that the church is down to the Jewish community as well as the Christian community is that they said these are Jewish feasts. And then these are Christian holidays. Yeah, and you guys celebrate different feasts and different stuff.
[00:11:44] And as you said, yes, this is our stuff, you know, and claimed it. When ultimately the early church and the early Christians were Jews and they kept all those traditions and they kept all those feasts because they were given to them. You know, by God as as Jews.
[00:12:02] So over time, the church started to say we don't need to celebrate that anymore. If you still celebrate that, you're going to have a Christian and ultimately the drift was kept. They were if it started right there. The devil was like, you know what?
[00:12:18] Just only unity thing between Jew and Gentile. I can't have this. No, you know, I'm going to put this riff between them where they celebrate. They worship on Sundays. The worship on Saturday still. And from that point forward, you know, Christians don't really care that much about anything.
[00:12:35] They're Jewish feasts and like they have nothing to do with it. It's nothing to do with them. And ultimately, I see them as God's peace in the Bible.
[00:12:43] It's not it's not that he gave them to his Jews, but he gave them to the Jews to give to the world. Because when he says, you know, to Abraham, all the entire world will be blessed through your through your seed.
[00:12:57] He's talking about the entire world being blessed through your shoe up. He came from his lineage, died for this in the middle of the world. And it was meant for the entire world the entire time.
[00:13:08] So while we got only one group of people to do something and show favoritism like that, it doesn't make any sense. Yeah, he's going to lay everybody else do whatever. You don't think he wants the world to be celebrating Passover as a whole planet right now.
[00:13:26] To say, look, this is what God did for us and said is son. You know, no, those are, but those are Jewish things. Yeah, I mean, the Bible says, I think Paul says, be not ashamed of the gospel for its salvation for everyone.
[00:13:43] First to the Jew, present to the Gentile. Right. I love that. And then I was going to read a passage in First Corinthians of Paul talked about.
[00:13:56] Well, first Corinthians five seven says, therefore, perjout the old leaven that you may be a new lump since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ our Passover was sacrificed for us. Look, this is a Jewish man being very specific that Christ is the Passover land. He's our son.
[00:14:24] Yeah. So I just, I like that passage. Yeah. Specific. Ultimately, John about this head behold, the Lamb of God who comes to take you as in the world. Right. You know, how did you get that? Yeah. How did he get from some prophecies that talked about it?
[00:14:44] Like, you know, that he was like a lamb before his shoes. Like a lamb led to the slaughter he was silent. You know, yeah talking about how a real lamb can't talk or cry or yell or explain that when it's being slaughtered.
[00:15:02] But that's where they get the lamb from. So John event is minutes of Holy Spirit honestly. How did he know? How did I know these things?
[00:15:11] You know, but when he was talking about, you know, get rid of the leaven so that she can be a new lump in my, you know, that would be, you know, basically be perfect like I am.
[00:15:24] You can be, you know, we've the power to be talking about the he's and how the process of he used in my friend was to ultimately when you're making a loaf of bread It was supposed to have he's in it. You would save a pinch of that dough.
[00:15:39] So the next time you save it, put it away somewhere so that the next time you may. You may. Red like that that yeast would actually be enough to fill the whole loaf again.
[00:15:49] Yeah, and then you would just transfer it to the next one of the next one. So, you know, he says get rid of that. You don't need that. I'll make you a new lump. I'm going to make put new yeast in this. Can you just always clear it.
[00:16:03] And, you know, that's why during the piece of ass I were also this is really symbolic to me. It's just like Jesus talking about putting new wine in wine skin. Yeah, ultimately I think you can't just yeah, you gotta put it in new wine skin in the Serosso.
[00:16:20] It'll break on keep putting in all wine skins, but during pastel, right? It's actually that's one of the traditions.
[00:16:26] That's one of the things that gets it, you know, go through your house and sweep the entire house every corner to make sure there's no 11 left in your entire house. It's really focused on this 11 being gone.
[00:16:38] You have to get rid of 11 in your house and it's supposed to mean get rid of all the senior life. And then when you eat the mozzarella doesn't even have 11 in it because you're supposed to get rid of all that.
[00:16:50] You have to eat this full flat piece of bread. You're also symbolizing that. They've done it, but you got to order these certain things for this face for a reason. And the fact that he's actually talking about it like that saying, look, I am the, you know,
[00:17:06] I am basically telling what he's going to do. Oh, I don't know, did you have anything else? Wow, yeah, I was just thinking like it says in this passage, it says you are truly 11. It's like in Christ, God sees this as righteous because of Jesus' sacrifice.
[00:17:25] Like we get seen as righteous even though we struggle with sin. Like God still sees this as pure. Yeah, I'm incredible. I think, I think the problem is most people see them. Well, they see it correctly. They see that they can be cleansed.
[00:17:43] Yeah. So you have to actually take that flesh. It's simply not to kill it. Like you're right, you're right. It is a stain. It is a stain that, you know, by his laws we can't give rid of.
[00:17:56] So he just have to die to it and then you have to be raised again. And that's why, you know, baptism and things like that is so great in this Him ballad to. And Jesus went from John the Baptist and next him.
[00:18:07] You know, I need you to baptize me. Yeah, excuse me. But yeah, people get this, I think they decide right away that they can't be fixed or they've got a can to renew their their their their souls and, you know, ultimately they're have free.
[00:18:27] You know, like there's hardly that has to die for him to raise up a new creation. But it's like the season to die to this is the most important. You know, even really grandly in again, saying, you know, we don't have to get your life together.
[00:18:46] You know, you don't have to get your life cleaned up and all together to come to God. Yeah, that's actually the opposite of what you should do.
[00:18:54] Gosh, that's the one thing I struggle with was young adult being in young adult ministry is young adults just feel like they have to. They're like, oh, I'll come to Christ. Like because baptisms at my church was last week.
[00:19:08] And so a lot of there was a lot of young adults are like, oh, I'd like to be baptized, but I need to do XYZ first and you to finish college. I need to get the perfect job, I need to.
[00:19:20] And he stopped drinking, I need to stop, you know, I need to get myself cleaned up before I baptize and I'm just like, yeah. There's not getting it like a camera in and like, hey, you guys, you can do it now like you can just follow Christ now.
[00:19:34] Yeah, it's about trying to pay for your salvation. Yeah, it's like, it's like, yeah, you don't, you don't, it was like I've heard of said before as you don't. You don't clean yourself up before you get in the shower. You just get the shower. That's the week.
[00:19:50] And then Jesus cleans this up and then. That's amazing. Yeah, so I've heard that said before it's like, why would you? You need to be cleaned up and regenerate your hands if we're in the shower. Exactly. Yeah, that's kind of what we're just teaching. So it does.
[00:20:06] And then you don't even get clean. Yeah, ultimately, you know, just a dirty or even dirty because now it's not making. But yeah, that's just a sad hinder instead. And then you must be focused thinking they can work themselves towards that grace.
[00:20:24] Yeah, and say now I can be that dice or not, I can be. You know, but it's like you don't understand what that's the tip of it is.
[00:20:33] The devil took that and probably worked there in one's mind and said, look, that's just if you have to be so clean. You know, like, you, you, not everybody is that kind of not everybody gets, if you're a singer, you don't get that thing. And it's really different.
[00:20:48] To keep that and so is all that's for that and not for me, but it's for them not for me. Oh, yeah, look, God, an analogy is this, and everything.
[00:20:56] But he's already been a huge man of the image to our view of like you're saying with the kids. Everybody really like, oh, yeah, when I get through with my phases and stuff, then I'll get serious when they're in certain things like that.
[00:21:13] Like there's children that have, there's children that have died this week. You know, you think you're so. You think you're special like you're going to live that one, you know, who says you're going to live to that part? Yeah, I'm making an analysis.
[00:21:28] So yeah, and just, yeah, that's what I remember when I got baptized, my pastor shared with me the story of Philip in the unique and Philip baptizes a unique like literally with a puddle of water in the Bible.
[00:21:42] And it talks about it. It's just like, yeah, it's like God just wants you to do it like you just like, it's just like with the rich young ruler and Jesus, like you can't you got to just follow me.
[00:21:57] You got to drop everything and follow me so you know, and it was to fill up in the unique. It's like, it's like there was no perfect time for this unique like he just needed to just baptize them there. It wasn't like it was a perfect time.
[00:22:12] So yeah, and people and just on this sub-intervaptism too, I'm sure a lot of people know this but there's an argument that go on about how you're supposed to have ties. Like, you know, do you get that ties as a child?
[00:22:27] But a little bit of water on your forehead. You know, do you get your idea to be immersed in the water and then come out of the water and it's like man, you really don't get the point of this.
[00:22:37] You know, you can look at what happened with John and Ed, and when Jesus it was available for them to do that. And it was ordained by God for them to do that.
[00:22:48] But if you get caught up in all this religion and think to somebody's not mad ties or they haven't done it the right way or something because it did a certain way or how like that. And you're talking about a puddle.
[00:23:00] Yeah, and these people were filled with the whole experience beyond measure. Yeah, that's in the book, Axe. Yeah, I think it's been. Yeah. But cool, cool topic. I think I see, I think I see justice getting. Oh, I see his tall. I see his tall. Yeah.
[00:23:20] So our drummer, if you guys didn't hear us in the beginning, our drummer is being baptized and their life streaming it on their church site. So I was going to try and see if we can cut this this episode short and just watch his baptism.
[00:23:34] The live streams a little choppy. I'm not sure if it's our connection or theirs could be ours, but I'm going to try and switch it over and we're just going to watch it and maybe hopefully you guys can still hear us and we'll just be chatting.
[00:23:47] But this is a really cool day for us. We're excited for justice and we love we love you man. He's our drummer and he's a. I'm just going to be deciding to. Put it as complete life with with Jesus.
[00:24:00] I think it was a live changing or deal with me and. I hope I prayed is for him too. So let me see if I can. How this will work. Thank you guys for. Turn in it and okay, so. It says. This might take a minute.
[00:24:28] We'll see if this will. Yeah. It'll still work but. But on the. You know, on the on the topic of Passover. I am myself. You know, so he dies. He dies during Passover. He's the Passover lamb and I thought for some reason always very I make think about.
[00:24:48] What does the lower they celebrating when Jesus came to Jerusalem? And so with his parents it's 12 years old they lost him. And then they ended up finding him teaching the rabbis in the temple. It's 12 years old and it was Passover. And so on Passover, it's 12.
[00:25:09] He starts in ministry. You know, ultimately that day. And then he ends his ministry. He ends his ministry at 30. Years old, you know, but I just thought it was so stupid. It goes my mind like he already knew he was the Messiah. He's full of his father's issues.
[00:25:31] Yeah. You know, look, here's the first sign of. You know, the son of God, you know, publicly written down in this, you know, in the Gospels because they lost him. They were going back home and he ended up hanging back and he was teaching the scribes.
[00:25:47] And they were like, who is this? He's 12. How old is this kid? He's 12. He's not. Maybe talk to the doctor. It's the only time we hear Jesus of a kid, right? Or not as a baby. He's a. Yeah. I think it was the only time we see him.
[00:26:00] That 12. Yeah. Exactly. And then we know about. But just thought it was so significant that the. It was because the number 12 in the matrient, I guess new numerology. I mean, there's a lot of 12 with God. You have this 12 tries in this room. We have the 12 shows. Amen.
[00:26:29] It was bleeding for 12 years that grabbed on to his garment and was healed instantly. And I think that's an image of Israel. You know, a Jewish woman in Israel has been bleeding for 12 years. Well, years that 12 tries in Israel.
[00:26:45] You know, all at once, you know, are redeemed through this, this Messiah. And it's just always symbol some symbols that come up after the fact that I was. Yeah. I mean. So here we are. I'm sharing. I'm sharing the baptism of justice.
[00:27:01] You guys should be able to see on your end. And we're just watching on our end. Let me get some baptized and they come up. And they're smiling. I'm like, you just go, yeah. The menets and let's celebrate them in this place. Let's worship.
[00:27:39] Yeah, it's buffer and y'all. I know it was new life, everything is different since the old past So that happened and I'll never be the same She found me, he found me, he found me, he found me, he found me She told me, he's never seen me
[00:28:27] That's where she's in the street I need me, now he keeps showing off things past me She's a real man She's been in the snow on the way, he's got a real man after this
[00:31:21] Oh, guys, here it is I think I did that. Just like me. I think you just saw me. I'll see you. And of course, Max. Yeah, I have it. It was working. Yeah.
[00:36:13] It starts the night Morning, some, but stay See if nothing was told It's party It's blackboard our voice No way, if it could stop all What final thing Is happening now The sun that got this little bit dark The fact I don't know anything
[00:37:55] More on that was when she had a friend Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh The ground is here The storm is over The sun that got this little bit dark The wind is all safe Oh, it's okay It's okay It's okay It's okay It's okay It's okay
[00:40:11] We sing, I live We sing We sing We sing We sing We sing We sing Some baptisms going on I guess we're just a little bit sober though Super, super cool Yeah, so we still got 10 nm To recap, we mostly talked about a little bit that past Over
[00:42:31] But we got to see our buddy just as get baptized So if you're listening to this afterwards Hopefully all that came through Yeah, yeah, it's pretty important to me To watch it Yeah, definitely want to celebrate pass over Coming up this year This is
[00:43:00] I forgot when it starts What it's a week long holiday It's only Yeah, 20 second Like far away from Easter Yeah, it was super early this year So 20 second Okay, saying this is a remember My, you know, through this last week I don't know
[00:43:34] Yeah, you used like the most benign thing that the church had But it's one thing that got told her and Yeah, yeah And yet we have all these other things like some Easter And stuff, it just It's doing way too much Yeah, but it's putting way too much
[00:43:50] That's like, you're missing how so much meat here You missing out on like, you know, the journey But the Egypt all the way to the promised land With the Jewish people through this data This event You know, But it's a bit too much
[00:44:11] Egypt to the wilderness of the promised land And it has promised that they would enter the land You know, my sister begins in my name In the name of 22nd and Tuesday and 30th So that's eight days Okay, yeah And you were saying you were saying
[00:44:32] It is usually more in-product Okay, you were saying They don't So tradition is to not work on that Monday Man and the next Monday So this Monday and Tuesday Monday and April 22nd And the Tuesday And you were going to work eight-foot-threat
[00:44:53] Okay, so the first and last day And is your on-thing There's a lot of people working in the weekend It's like two sets And so much in this holiday And then Monday is when you're going to actually have meal You have a savor
[00:45:09] And which issue we're doing with this With this Disciple that night too when Jews went through which way You could have eaten a feast or have anything That day And he chose to celebrate His father's feast To show us the significance of him being a...
[00:45:32] He wanted his disciples to know This is I am he I am the patron one They were all scared They knew he was going to be arrested soon And then it went that night Because he had to talk about it Watch out
[00:45:48] You told him that night he said If you have money, go by a sword Or sell your tunic for a sword Because you're going to need it There may be hunted down So by the grace of God I was able to open it up in Matthew
[00:46:04] Where it's recorded The last supper of the Passover Mm-hmm So in Matthew 20 and chapter 26 Verse 26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it And gave it to the disciples and said Take... Take eat. This is my body
[00:46:30] So then you took the cup and gave thanks And gave it to them saying Drink from it all of you For this is my blood of the new covenant Which is shed for many Which is shed for many for the remission of sins
[00:46:45] But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine From now on until that day when I drink it new With you in my father's kingdom And when they had son to him They went out to the Mount of Bollabs
[00:46:57] That's pretty specific stuff Yeah, really cool And then they go and then And then says Jesus predicts Peter's denial And I think he also He shares about The betrayal of Judas Also during the supper right He says one of you will be treated
[00:47:25] And they're all like, no, no Okay It can't be me And then I think it's already at this point When Judas is not there he's already not there right Yeah, okay He's like he's already a train Jesus now Yeah And then just looking around
[00:47:39] And of course they're distracted They're going, oh no, let's see What's he talking about? Let's just eat Yeah, let's just eat I don't know what he's talking about It was just to them It was another dinner They were just having dinner They were just having dinner
[00:47:52] They were just like, we're eating dinner He's talking like, you know my does Like, you know what my did he taught? While they he always taught While they were around him And you know, but honestly When he says like, you're going to sit
[00:48:05] I'm not going to drink from this until you enter To keep them You know, my father was Kingdom It's like so he sang We're going to celebrate the feast again Like in the millennium Like why are we taking a break all the sudden Okay, that was really Jews
[00:48:19] But he's telling them who are his followers I won't drink from this again Until I see you in the, like so we are going to drink From the fruit of the vine again Why is he saying all of these things You know, it's making the mainstream
[00:48:34] It's hurt right now You know, they talked about Celebrating, you know, these these feast again Because it talked about In Revelation, you got to throw that old book I had to talk about celebrating Socope and it talked about celebrating And you know, different feast
[00:48:50] We're supposed to be Old Testament Jewish feast But it talked about celebrating And again, yeah, in the new age So you kind of have to get over Some of it, well that's not my problem Because it's kind of awkward when he's like Okay, everybody, we're celebrating
[00:49:10] You know, we're in celebration code now And you know, like what's that? And it's like, well I guess I got to teach you Yeah, yeah, but to be able to be one of those people It's like I just didn't think it was important And having the knowledge
[00:49:25] You know, and then not doing anything with that knowledge Then you are accountable to it I hate say that But I'm accountable there with him And I know that he drew and don't fall through And do this So I'm going to be some heart
[00:49:39] To, in my, in my commentary on Yeah, what's up? See, blossom, commented on YouTube How you doing by? He did a good evening So yeah, just to recap She was almost over But talk a little bit about Passover The connection of Passover
[00:49:59] And how it points to Jesus as a Messiah The timing of Jesus's crucifixion And the resurrection is mind-blowing It's during Passover, which we know As it was Jewish tradition To use a lamb's blood that saved the Israelites from death And so this is very much a description of
[00:50:26] Jesus saving everybody From slavery of sin And then this new covenant That he mentions in Matthew 2628 For this is my blood of the new covenant Which is shed for many for the remission of sins And so Jesus's victory over death This brings new life to everybody
[00:51:02] So as we saw, we halfway through the episode People were bathing and being baptized We are our drummer got baptized And so by following Jesus Because he defeated death and defeated sin If we put our faith in Jesus, he will regenerate us and give us new life
[00:51:26] And this is a promise that is given to everybody Eternal life is a gift from God And freedom from sin And this is to everybody And this is what Jesus was teaching So really cool evening We got to share, we got to share on Passover
[00:51:46] It's really cool that we got to see some baptisms and some new life happening And just really thankful for the show And thankful for everybody All you've turned it in Me too And that's really cool Really really cool Yeah, that's pretty much Cool, pretty much all I got
[00:52:09] I can't enjoy it Yeah So just some advice Look into some of the look at all these connections Between Old Testament, Old Testament prophecies And how much Jesus fulfilled The Old Testament, the law And how you fulfilled Just all these prophecies
[00:52:33] It will blow your mind, I promise you And you know, Jesus' name is Yeshua Which means Yahweh saves So like I was just thinking last week On Good Friday People say like, oh there's no mention of Jesus in the Old Testament
[00:52:52] And it's like, yeah, it talks about salvation constantly And Jesus' name literally means salvation Yeshua So we see Jesus' name Many times in the Old Testament If you like I just feel like you're being ignorant If you think that there's this separation
[00:53:12] Between Old Testament and the New Testament It's like, no this is one story Well, I was one story We just would show them how this piece of Being so liberated and fulfilled In his sacrifice and burial and resurrection And then it's also like naked
[00:53:30] Well Genesis, look at the Bible You know, how does that even How did God set that up So I guess like as we're actually correlates with What he was going to do down here He's telling us to believe It's super natural Yeah, yeah, he did this on purpose
[00:53:48] Everything he says is on purpose Every word he says does not come back to him void So and we just have to really We have to really, really I guess just to thankful for that I'm thankful for that Actually know that and believe it
[00:54:06] I think a lot of people don't have to They have hardly entire time there Believe her And they just can get over something in their mind Yeah, he just asked God to help you with it And ask other people to help you with it
[00:54:19] What the heck are we doing? Yeah Yeah, amen Hold man Well, thank you guys for tuning in I think my computer and camera's dying Unfortunately But this was a cool episode Really, really amazing To see some new life Our drummer got baptized We talked about Passover
