[00:00:01] Thank you for listening to the Finding Neverland Podcast. Finding Neverland is a Christian Metal Core band based in Denver, Colorado. This episode was broadcasted live. I hope you all can hear us. I don't know. Leave a comment if you can hear us.

[00:00:56] And if you can't hear us, this is a video. This is gonna be a test episode, right? Good old technical difficulties. We love it. We go ahead and go ahead and look. Okay, I think we might be good. I'm just gonna start a real quick.

[00:01:11] But the back of the book says, The story of overcoming addiction and abusive childhood with forehead, food and determination. That was by the relentless intervention of the guy while on the campus of CEO Boulder. James became sober from an extremely interesting addiction down the hall.

[00:01:26] It was delivered as a new creation by Jesus Christ. This book is for anyone who feels they have ruined their life with mistakes. Guy can redeem the lost time. We serve a massive God, new, wherever you are. Your story and the most beautiful and an explainable way.

[00:01:41] And just from reading the first couple chapters of this book. It was so deep and intimate within those first couple chapters and the introduction as we were like that. I was like, yeah, right. Let's go all the way to the end.

[00:01:58] So I'm really proud of him for the program. The process of making this easy is currently finishing up the audio book for this book. Definitely available to people who are more into that. It's nothing to put it into the theater but it just be listening to somebody's

[00:02:19] life story while you're doing anything. Yeah, it's been times that we live in now. It's just a bit of a blessing to take on theology. Obviously it can be a tool that they don't hold. God uses everything he created. So maybe they can't create it.

[00:02:34] You can only maybe read. Yeah, so I think we cut out. But we were just talking about my own biography that's coming out on March 20th. It's right here is called Little Man Big God. It'll be on Amazon and Amazon Kindle. And you can pre order it now.

[00:02:55] So go check it out. I'll put the link in this video. So mostly it's a book about my childhood, but mostly about my time at sea folder. And my struggles with addiction and how during that time,

[00:03:14] how God was just relentless in capturing my heart and how I was able to reveal himself to me in a way that blew my mind. So got some cool stories in here. One of them was Maddie Montgomery coming to see Boulder and speaking.

[00:03:32] And so I talk a little bit about that. But mostly I just wanted to write this book to give the glory to God. And showcase what he did in my life. And I believe he can do it with anybody's life. He can transform and capture anybody.

[00:03:52] And so yeah, so it took me three years. And then I was about halfway done. And God was kind of like I need you to finish this book. And I just felt him to sit down and finish it.

[00:04:10] And I did a three day fast and just focused on finishing this book. And so really, really cool. So a lot of it was just on a fast with spending time with God. And always spirit really wrote a lot of stuff in this book.

[00:04:27] So I'm really excited about it. So yeah, thank you for sharing. So yeah, absolutely. March 20th. Yeah. And then another thing that I was just thinking about is, you know, we've got to see what you're writing.

[00:04:42] You see all these people who saw Jesus experience Jesus like all of that episode or he was shriking and spoken to by Jesus. And then lying to God on the road to mass use. And he says, I'm in the chief of sinners.

[00:05:01] I'm just he realized he had been murdering. And as early as I said, he was murdering. Thinking he was doing God's work by killing all the Jews that we believed in Christ and the Messiah, because of the blasphemous.

[00:05:19] And he says, I'm the chief of sinners and he says, So if God forbid, if he came to eat, and he actually eternity didn't use me. It's like God uses the weak and uses the improbable. And that's why I get your title on.

[00:05:34] But you know, the improbable, so like everybody's lost a light dead. You don't want to, you don't want to think about them. That's because it's hard to speak. But you know, all the statistics that are out there about how, unlike that was, you're even born.

[00:05:52] How ugly was your born to speak, they got hooked to you. And that family, you know, all these things. You know, you know, you know, accepted good with the bad. And I think God people, I think we've said this so many times.

[00:06:06] But you know, everything good, I did, you know, it's me. I should be to mean everything bad. I'm going to blame God for that. Because how could he let that thing happen? Yeah. And I'll take credit when it's something good. We really should be flipped walked.

[00:06:20] All things are good. Yeah, you're all things are bad or evil or us or us or us. Or us or simple lives here and our choices. Anything about that, you know? So, and so that that kind of mean, like good and bad. We can get real lost.

[00:06:36] And it's worth, like it is now. But I also just wanted to, this is the last, you know, segue, I guess, hopefully, just talk about how recently, we just added a new, I don't know if we talked about this community.

[00:06:54] Yeah, but probably a lot of news that maybe some of you don't know about, but you will get to it. So, the whole guitar player that this band had when the band originally started just as such is going to be

[00:07:12] joining me in to be our drummer this time. And we're just taking back by, you know, the reality of the band actually coming back and enjoying this music that he helped create originally. It's been a decade over a decade probably that, you know,

[00:07:34] we were playing together just maybe take some help and just, you know, strength out of our, our telling you these things. But, you know, me and Jay actually needing it. You know, just have a little bit between Boulder and why Cobaltime just get together and do things.

[00:07:57] And it took us a couple years to even like get our key under us. But we just kept doing things every single week. You know, I'm just kept doing things that now are seeing, you know, the fruit of that.

[00:08:08] And it really, you know, it's just about being faithful. So, you know, the same way out there who's thinking, man, I just don't know which one is up right now. I had that thought today too over nine getting that over,

[00:08:20] you know, so easily sleep that I got less than I guess that's, that's the biggest problem in my life right now is I only got the R's sleep last night because I had to pop up with her something. It's like, I need a perspective change.

[00:08:35] I have to really have to be at a perspective change. And I feel that way I need to sit down and talk and talk and talk and all right, I need to go exercise or work out. And it's just how it treats the people who want to realize.

[00:08:48] But in my body and so are definitely connected. There's no other way that I would have. He talks about all of this. And he pre-provers it. And he read the, he happens at some of the UCLs and examples of these men and saying yes.

[00:09:11] This is what you should do. That's the way you do it. They've lived right to have experience. And we don't want to listen to people that are, like people with the wisdom are our tools to us. And then talks about that in progress too.

[00:09:24] That wisdom that's foolishness to fool. Yeah, some was like the wisest man right? That's what he said. Message before he died was like follow God. But yeah, all the riches he could ever think of. He also wrote the book at Clees Yassie, which is very,

[00:09:44] you have to read it and then right, you have to read it and then right, I don't take so with the right mindset because a not all of it is God inspired is him, his him writing the book. That's very jaded. He's talking about how life is meaningless.

[00:10:00] He's talking about how he's had everything in life. But he's trying to make a point that you can have everything in life in the night or so, no pleasure. And still be unhappy and still be miserable. If you don't have to create your first and foremost

[00:10:15] in your life, none of this matters. So people will take those scriptures and say, well you know, yeah. So that's evidence that we don't really have to try to hurt or something because we're all gonna mean. I mean it reads on them just and the unjust stuff.

[00:10:32] So even take the description of Jesus said, where is said, you know when that building collapsed on those people, do you think God was judging them? Or can you understand that things happen? You know, for reasons you can't understand.

[00:10:47] You know, to this, did they send some out to deserve that? And they just try and open their minds up to realizing, you don't know. You don't really know. I'm going to try and explain it, you know, and those painful, but you accept it. Give it to God.

[00:11:02] So yes, the recap. Just this is gonna be playing drums for us. So hopefully, school doesn't have to say that. But we're so excited to be working with them again. Great musician, great dude. Yeah, done. Just a story. But telling me, like on a personal basis,

[00:11:29] I'm like I just do quote all over him, but like just the most down person in the most, you know, sound of his, he's always been that kind of guy from like I can really get along with this person. I really can be around him all the time

[00:11:51] and we're both, and I mean, that's why I found one. You can also, it is really what people need to find in their personal lives. I mean, so many people are with friends and people in their life, it's around themselves with people that they can't stand.

[00:12:04] Unless they're tired or drink in, or something. You know, because it's really what people have these problems. They're not really friends with these people. They're just drinking buddies. They do the same stuff so they get around the same people

[00:12:19] in order to not feel so guilty about how they're treating their bodies in their life and they feel less subconscious about it in that manner. So just a good lesson for life is like, you eventually start to sit like this, I childish things.

[00:12:34] I think Paul said that when I was younger, I was, you know, I did childish things, but now I'm older and more wise, so I'm going to put childish things aside and realize I need to actually be serious about some things because these are getting real.

[00:12:49] And it's in a later, usually, it's the pain that you experience in life that causes you to change your trajectory. And it is actually at the compass, and we don't want to check in life. It's telling you, don't do that, that was painful. Go this way.

[00:13:06] Do this, and this is the measure through the opposite of it. And we just think, well, it'll be different next time. You know, it'll be different next time. I mean, you know, and people settle, I think, in life,

[00:13:18] so they're fit me for their friends, which is the family that you choose, they say. And, you know, your family, you can't choose, but you still, you can't get along with them. No matter what, or something, you know, it's just stuff that plugs people all the time.

[00:13:33] It's really something that is just, it's really neat stuff that's here, but you're on how to treat people. You know, and how to treat yourself. Yeah. I don't think we really talk that as much as we care about hearing about being saved

[00:13:46] and we're not going to be, we're going to be going to be going to be good. It's stuff in the trip, so it's very, you know. And, oh, I'm just happy. I'm saying it's like, yeah, but she wanted to suffer for the rest of life.

[00:13:57] So that is the only messy you have. And this is the only messy you're going to give to other people. That's a shame. You know, I always appreciate the gospel. You know, oh, yeah, I've met your life.

[00:14:12] Nobody wants to be like, they can tell you you're not happy. And if you're not, if they can see your life sucks, get it really want to listen to you. If I listen to you, what life becomes like you will like you.

[00:14:24] And people need to ask them so that they're the hard question. If you're talking and you're not backing up to talk with the Wad. People see right through this, and you're just absolutely just digging yourself a whole of deception that nobody wants to tell you the truth.

[00:14:40] Everybody lies to each other. You lie to yourself. You lie to other people. And we'll just go around why do each other. The truth is, this two-handle. You know, hey man, you got a problem for, you know, I don't think you should be doing this. And stuff.

[00:14:53] And it all talks, it really detailed about how to church it. We talked into each other and actually calling out. It's very interesting. Go to your brother and ask them, you know, for forget our, you know, ask them for forgiveness.

[00:15:05] We're going to your brother with the problem you had with them first. And if he doesn't listen to you, then bring another brother in to help you understand. And if he doesn't listen to you, then you bring, you know, a church elder into the thing.

[00:15:20] And it's like, you can listen to him, get rid of accountability. Yeah. You know, but you don't go out to him. Very, very simply. He's saying, you do it privately. You go to see your secret, really.

[00:15:31] I mean, he's telling you, I think that I have a problem with this. You know, and stuff. If they don't see it as a problem, then you know, most people who can be helped in the identity. You know, they just don't want to accept reality.

[00:15:44] And we're escaping reality more and more to aid with our technology. And as our phones are just eating this alive. Right. I have something cool I've been doing. I was about month. I've been mean for coffee with Mark Johnson,

[00:16:06] who is the Colorado Buffalo football and basketball radio announcer. So he's a sports rockcaster. And some of you might know who he is, but. Incredible man I got it. And I've just been meeting with him to, you know, share.

[00:16:26] Like, I think it's important as men that as men in general, I think everybody should probably take this advice, honestly. And it's fine somebody that's spiritually ahead of you. And ask them questions and just get to know, you know, what is the Lord telling you? Whatever.

[00:16:45] Like, I think that's just like really great. That's been like really good advice. I was given to me. And so I'm really excited to find somebody that's really, you know, as you would say, you know, mentoring me and things like that because he is an incredible man

[00:17:02] and God and it's very knowledgeable even though he's not a pastor. It's just incredible like the conversations we have. And so I just, it's nice to have people like that that you can go to and say, you know, these are the things going on in my life.

[00:17:19] You know, how did you deal with this as a believer? Like it's so important to have people like that that can help guide you as well in your walk with what Jesus and in your life when you be on a father husband and stuff like that.

[00:17:36] So I'm really excited about that. I don't really know where I was going with that, but I feel like it kind of tied with what your saying is, you know, not everybody's going to be on your team. Wanting to help you out like some people like.

[00:17:52] It takes time. Yeah, it takes times of life. It takes time to build relationships. You know, everybody's going to have like even now with our van people act like, you know, they want to support us and they want to do everything with us.

[00:18:05] But, you know, after a while, people, you know, people change and it takes time to really build a relationship and stay faithful with God to harm you just something. And so that's why I'm also very grateful with my new relationship with life.

[00:18:22] You know, we've been able to overcome a lot of things like COVID, like, you know, our own addiction during the beginning of our, the band.

[00:18:32] And here we are, we're still here, you know, and I still, I still really lean on Luke for a lot of issues in my life and he does too. So, um, yeah, I just think that's one of the things that's really important

[00:18:44] as a Christian, you need to have people to fall back on. You need to build that, that like circle of trust that you can go to. That will help you stay up because a lot of people, they follow God and then like, you know,

[00:18:59] adversity comes or somebody, you know, starts judging their character. There's just nobody to fall back on, nobody to help them. You know, keep moving forward. You need those people. Close knit people who really know your, your life and, you know, really know you specifically and personally,

[00:19:22] to keep moving forward. That's what I think a lot of people fall from the phases. They just don't have that. Those fellowships, that friendship, that brotherhood with other people. That's why it's important to go to church also.

[00:19:35] So they find people that will hold you up when, you know, the storm is blowing your house over. Yeah, yeah, foundation sports a prep. Yes, not to forsake the gathering. That's what I'll say to avoid that. You're going to become a complacent. This is Irish sharpened, hired.

[00:19:59] And so if you're, if you're strong, you know, another one tips. There's two blades of one of them, so all the other ones sharp. You know, the dollar one's going to get sharper if you, if you were to, you know, use them together.

[00:20:15] It's just, you know, an inevitable, the sharper going to sharpen the dollar. The, the sharper one might get older. But then you have to be trying to prevent all day for it. When is that? I was just thinking when he said all that man like, you know, mentors.

[00:20:33] Yeah, like there's people who don't know God to understand that. The, the, theology in our stand. The importance of having mentors for. Make sure that you and lives in their night and bully versus.

[00:20:47] And they have people who show them their ropes to experience and I was just thinking to man, when you see somebody who's already experienced what she or going through. And it's probably, right, it's probably like a high percentage like 99% they have experience with what you're talking about.

[00:21:06] Yeah, 5% maybe they haven't, but then they put them that 5% they are getting something that's very, and yeah, they know how they know. And, and you just have to think of it.

[00:21:18] That's a beautiful thing I think God wants us to open our eyes to also the every single person's life is a testimony. It's either a testimony of death or life. And we might have periods of both and you know, what we do.

[00:21:32] And both, we do have both of them all of our lives, but you want to see somebody overcome the death or my right and we all say, thank you. Yeah, because this is not through more fun option.

[00:21:49] God is telling you that you're as people through one of the profits. I think it was Isaiah, you know, turn from your sin on. I will forgive all of your sins and remember that no more. I'll heal me with my people and I'll be your God.

[00:22:06] And he says, I give you two things that they said before you life and death choose life. These are these things that you've been to choose life. So even then saying, look, you're just not on the right track.

[00:22:20] I'm going to join us and you and the eggs out. You're going to suffer. And just imagine all the people that works, it's still suffered. They did repent and they go after sacrifices in the midst of all those things.

[00:22:34] But people who probably didn't listen to Isaiah before they killed them. They saw them in half for saying what he said. I can't hear the truth around here. They didn't hear me living fantasyland.

[00:22:46] But the people who were faithful during that whole time and God said, I'm going to eggs out of you. Now they got caught up in the world. And had no choice but to experience it also because that was their people. They didn't get back there.

[00:23:06] It's like, you don't go really good to join the culture, you know? Especially not after what happened then when they got delivered from Egypt. Devils that was their niche. They were the people who got and they needed to stick with God no matter what.

[00:23:22] Like, yeah, it's going to be hard. I'm not going to enter in a promise land. You know, this generation is like an injury. It's wrong. Your kids will see it but you won't because you guys were so faithful to me and the world.

[00:23:32] And just having to accept that you live the rest of your life like that. There's some profit just told you about yourself. And you're sitting here like, I've been faithful as an entire time. And that's what you know, Joe was probably thinking too.

[00:23:45] The new year book, your time was a story. Just to give away the first chapter or something. Yeah, it's really good about how Joe thought he knew how life was supposed to work and it got only, but you know, we're blessed him. He didn't know who God was.

[00:24:06] Yeah, really he knew of God. And he knew he wanted to be out in his good side. But he didn't really understand his position in relation to God. He thought he was owed. That was one of those things that got revealed to me during.

[00:24:21] I was right in this book was a. There's like the book of Joe was reinterpreted wrong by the, you know, American Christianity. Kind of we kind of like looked at, oh, your life is.

[00:24:37] You know, things are going to come at you, but as long as you put in good, good works like everything's going to be fine. And that's not the book of Joe, like, you know, they, you know, they say he's like, he's like upright and righteous man.

[00:24:52] But that just basically means he's what we'll just he doesn't actually know God, which is, which is, which was interesting to me. I think everybody kind of resigned to like, oh, yeah, he goes to church.

[00:25:04] Like Joe goes to church. He does everything right. He's, you know, he's he doesn't cost he probably probably doesn't committed the injury or anything like that. But I think the real message of the story of Joe is like this affliction.

[00:25:19] Direct Joe right into the part of God and gets to know God intimately through his struggles. And so we see like, yeah, like, saying is, you know, mentioned a little bit but for the most part, like God wins at the end.

[00:25:39] The book of Joe and like not only, yeah, Joe went through a lot, but he's closer with God. He knows God. He knows that everything that was good and jokes life was because God is dead not because Joe did a bunch of religious works.

[00:25:57] And also I had to come to terms with the fact that everything that they have to tell him because God allowed it back to sovereignty. So, and you understand this, I mean, may sacrifice his or his children like animal sacrifice in case they send.

[00:26:14] Yeah, this man was religious to the boat like as a new, as many as he wasn't a new year, they're not listening to this.

[00:26:22] But he was sacrifice, you know, lambs and animals for his kids in case they had some sin that they weren't sacrifice in for themselves to save there. And so even using it's even just like, reach across the aisle and say, I want to save my children too.

[00:26:42] And then they end up getting hit after all that work, after all that all in one day. Right? I think so it was just like boom boom boom and you know, I think it was a thing between God and saving.

[00:26:59] It was like, I'm going to give him a curse. And God was like, well actually it was God who proposed it. Yeah, that's that boom on my two was God. Have you considered do? Yeah, I mean, I'm just my both.

[00:27:13] He's more faithful than anyone in the land and, you know, he offers it. So God is an already revealing. He sees what he's doing. He actually honors what he's doing. He's not just credited his faithfulness to wanting to please him. But he's like, have you looked at him?

[00:27:36] You know, I bet you can't. I bet you can't. Yes, him up too much. Who's the way and in joke 30. The way God, just like I was, I wrote about this too is God, it's like the first time God describes to a person. Big and sovereign he is.

[00:27:56] Like so it's just like, like God is telling him like, were you there when the earth was formed? Were you there? Did put the stars together? Like jokes on he was like bigger than any is.

[00:28:10] And God has pretty much spends like an entire chapter just completely destroying Joe and telling him how small he is and how big God is.

[00:28:22] And that's kind of what I wanted to illustrate in my book was a how, you know, how big our God is not only is God. But sovereign and control of our lives, but he's also handle whatever issue you have in your life. Like our God can handle it.

[00:28:42] Our God's big is these sovereign he's in control is not overwhelmed by anything. So that's why that's why I kind of wanted to write my story was, you know, God's not overwhelmed by maybe something like alcoholism in my life or, you know,

[00:28:59] bad relationships or bad parents, you know, God's not overwhelmed by it. He can he could it. So yeah, that was what I was trying to talk about and then well in Joe 38 he just completely destroys Joe's confidence in himself.

[00:29:20] And you know like a loving father would sit you down and be like, hey, spanking. Yeah, he just sit down for a second because he can nearly. After that long showing of his power God telling him what he is. And Joe wasn't.

[00:29:41] Joe was like, how I'm totally a wretched man. Yeah, I'm absolutely. I'm so. Beautiful, you know, for the things that's in the 40. It was like Isaiah basically like when you said, I'm a dead man.

[00:29:57] He says, then Joe answers the Lord and said, be all that and file, what shall I answer you? I lay my hand over my mouth once I have spoken but I will not answered. Yes, twice but I will not I will proceed in order.

[00:30:10] And so we see Joe this is another illustration is like when you hear specifically from God like you're different, you're changed. Like Joe's a completely different person from beginning to him. So he's now it's completely humble because he has met all mighty y'all way.

[00:30:32] I think that's incredible stuff. I really just I like the book of Joe. Yeah, and then that's the oldest book. Yeah, I've written it in a book by was it was can I say when they dated and stole this one.

[00:30:47] And they know of so this might have been pre-renews and in the easy. I don't know what what I guess I don't think so.

[00:31:00] Some of you, I was reading somebody said they think Joe might be like a previous like alien population like it's before Genesis or anything like maybe like it was like a past earth.

[00:31:16] Before before like before how many his first years or something I'm not sure but I don't know how much I believe that. But I have never had that before. Well, I mean it's been a bit of a relationship to you know to have this in setting.

[00:31:34] If we were right up to have it, you was taken up like being up to have it basically. So he's the only man in recorded history never actually died. Yeah, I saw him well because Jesus died.

[00:31:48] Yeah, also but then was resurrected but Elijah was taken straight up into heaven and all that used to do that because he was always talked about later on. Is it Elijah that's come back?

[00:32:02] Yeah, he didn't because he didn't like your windows people were asking that Jesus would be Elijah right? They were a kid yeah. Yeah and then they asked John the best is John that is my big is bringing carnation or something.

[00:32:16] Or they did it like I thought John the best was the Messiah. He said no, I'm preparing the way for them. So I like very distinctively. And it's kind of weird to me. Wow, it's like I don't know.

[00:32:29] He's because of Jesus, of current Mary's sister is who had. Her name is her cousin actually. I don't know, yeah her cousin had John the best is. Yeah but so related by blood. And that sense.

[00:32:45] But he so they had to burn up the other kids or knowing each other. And you saw him in New Year's of the Messiah at a one point. You know, somewhere in there got called to be.

[00:32:59] A Baptist not a Baptist like we say today, but someone who baptizes somewhere in there. He was called to spread the word preach and to his on detriment tells truth. And so the Holy Spirit had fallen on him just like it was.

[00:33:21] Fought him to just like a fell on. It's at the spirit of God came down like a dove on Jesus. And that's probably just his blessing on Jesus. You know, he's a he is the spirit.

[00:33:31] But you know, certain people were in doubt with the Holy Spirit for the whole experience was a thing before pentacost. And they said no, everybody has access to it now. So it was very selective.

[00:33:45] It was like that was like a meeting this person and even people like pilot. You know, people like he used him to help push for his end goal was. It's a very taken you know, growing leader. So he's the one saying the boat, you know, oh, he's questioning.

[00:34:06] He might be even guys and I don't think that's his he was looking at Jesus like I have the power to kill you. You want to save yourself or not, that's all you're doing. I don't think about anything else.

[00:34:21] He's like, I am the truth the way in the life. You know, are you the E. 10 E. 6 something like. Are you the Messiah? That's what he asked him. He's like, are you asking me this or are you asking me because other people say that about him.

[00:34:36] And then I was in response, you know, obviously knew what the next and like if he had to answer that question. It was on you. So he knew what the answer was already that doesn't mean because he didn't ask it. He knew he was the Messiah.

[00:34:54] And he still, so he was I think the miracle he knew. You know, he still went through with the good people say he didn't want to do it. You know, he was kind of forced to do it because they were going to fries up and write it.

[00:35:08] And I'm like, these people did this for a living. They they they crucified people for stealing the wrong thing or something and more in murder. And the tree was learned by crosses as he came into Rome.

[00:35:22] If he came into Jerusalem along the main road because it was representation of rooms. The iron fist if he messed up this will be you. And most of them they let the body stay up there for a long time.

[00:35:34] Especially people who had no way to bury them or they were just soundcast and then the manalt will get to them and birds with just being them. So you can go walk in there and be a person on display for you right there.

[00:35:46] I just happened to this guy and a lot of time ago we put their crimes on the cross with them. And that's why I'm both Jesus is head day. Put you know, Jesus of Nazareth King of the New Jews and so they were lucky.

[00:36:03] There was yes there's something interesting that I found that one is talk about two was and we were talking about fun. I think the man in Montgomery was talking about the water into wine, miracle. So Jesus turned orange wine but thought it was so funny.

[00:36:22] I mentioned that because we all know the Catholic Church worshiped Mary right. We know that they say they know yeah they do that. All right let's be honest be really. Let's be real here. Mary's there. But you don't you don't pray to something it's not sure.

[00:36:40] Yeah, but the last audible recording that we have in Mary and the Bible isn't John chapter two which is when Jesus turned water to wine. We don't hear Mary recorded again. Yeah, or it's not written.

[00:36:58] But the last thing she says in the Bible is just whatever he says to you do it. I thought that was so funny because. Right, this is on the third day there was a wedding and cannot of Galilee and the mother Jesus was there Mary.

[00:37:16] So now both Jesus and his disciples were invited to the wedding and when they ran out of wine the mother of Jesus said to him. Jesus says to her woman what does he or concern have to do with me in my hour as not yet come.

[00:37:28] And then this is the last recording of Mary her voice anyway. His mother says to the service whatever he says to you do it. And I just like really like that. That the last thing with your familiar is whatever Jesus says to you do it.

[00:37:45] Like we're not going to we're not listening to Mary. We need to be doing what Jesus says to us. Right, and so I just get it. Yeah, I just really thought that was interesting.

[00:38:01] And I don't know how much people have looked into that or if that's even means anything. But I just thought that was really interesting something I learned was. Well, it means that she knew we were going to have a few new rice. Mary is nothing special.

[00:38:16] She just she was used by God. She got pregnant. Yeah, without without having any of course. We can't even know what is the Holy Spirit. So yeah, she knew Jesus was from the media because bad told her to say he was saying you're going to name him.

[00:38:32] You should have just means are you going to name him? I mean you all. And we called him maybe on which is stop with us. God, Rick, so you know he's got. We ran away. Can you use them about that?

[00:38:44] Because it was shameful around what it was like. Yeah, but yeah, he's a representation of like for an important for like he listened to this. He is a person. He's a person. He's a messiah. He's got and in disciples of our hearty with him.

[00:39:01] He already knew he had already called him and called by him. So when they witnessed this first miracle, they were like, okay. This is the first time I realized he's actually who he says. People say it. They just know he got baptized and that was something.

[00:39:22] He went on the one and forty days and started and got tempted. Yeah, this is the first time where I was like, oh man, but everybody saw the spirit of God coming down on him. It's the baptism to me.

[00:39:33] And God, this is a, you know, the clouds opened up and of which from heaven did. This is my son whom I'm well pleased to listen to him. And so even God's like, this, I'm telling you, plainly, this is my son.

[00:39:50] And people start calling Jesus from their point forward. John probably felt like, finally reached this point where my life fulfilled. I've passed them a time. He can keep me going and make disciples. I don't like that. The thing to John's in, stop making disciples.

[00:40:09] No, you kept doing it. Yeah, so not like, oh, well, my work's done. No, he can't do it until they killed him. Yeah, for telling the truth. The more Jesus was still alive. You're right. Yeah. Yeah. I've produced head on a platter to, yeah.

[00:40:28] That for God who was somebody who's not here or something. They were, yeah. They were an adult person who was telling their house simple. What was from the new, I think he married his brother's sister and killed the brother,

[00:40:46] but you know, I think the, the married thing too, I was just thinking to, you know, people take that verse from what, you know, Jesus kind of repaid Mary on the cross by saying, you know, son, but all your mother and mother told your son, you know,

[00:41:07] and nothing to have that's taped up. And for me, like, oh, that's somebody who was not a dude. Because now Jesus is nice saying, look at her and it's not what he's saying. But she was saying listen to him, listen to my son, do everything he's telling you.

[00:41:25] And he's now saying look, you guys there for each other now. Because I'm going, I'm going to go away and she uses, she doesn't do something. You know, but she had other children with Joseph, after he used to report naturally.

[00:41:42] So he had brothers and sisters that were half brothers and sisters and if you want to say it like that, you know. Yeah. It's just interesting. You know, that's the fish. This is a web.

[00:41:52] You start in really just kind of putting the sauce on time because I'm seeing all these different, you see all these different points where intersects and there's slimy. This is a little bit too much. Like this is this document. And we know as the canonized Bible,

[00:42:08] that we have now, we can be Bible from Old Testament. Oh, from Genesis all the way to Revelation is, it's rough. It's really hard to digest. Once you start seeing all these connections, the Holy Spirit is that we're dealing with people.

[00:42:24] That's why it's such a scary thing because people open up the Bible and do a blind reading. Whether they just open it, it's pick a spot and all of a sudden they read their eyes to go to one person.

[00:42:36] Some crazy verse that just shocked them like, and then it's like, well, that was, that is, I don't know how many times we can do that anymore. It's almost like portion telling, but the Holy Spirit's a control of those things because you're seeking God.

[00:42:50] And God is like, here I am. Yeah, you know, how does he care what he has to say and why we call it God. We're also, yeah, it's not some spooky thing. Like, oh, he's got the word on us. Yeah, like it's like different and the minus.

[00:43:04] He's just Jesus, he also, you know, I'm blind. You know, no, it's actually God uses it. To speak to the system. That's why it is things that he has said before. And yeah, I was this this morning. I felt the pool this morning as it will come.

[00:43:21] I felt like God was telling me to spend time with him this morning and it was like early six in the morning or something. And I'm sitting there and going like, okay, God, so something tells me, I'm just sitting there and it says like, like nothing's happening.

[00:43:36] Like, no, I'm not hearing from him. His presence is in here, but he wants me to spend time with him. It was just quiet and it was kind of like this quiet time, which is very time with him. And that was great.

[00:43:49] And so, but then I'm just like, why am I just hoping his work? Like, you know, like, you can hear, like, I don't know, that's just been mind vices. Well, if you're not hearing from God, there's so much in this that you,

[00:44:01] that is personal to us that will like ignite that something. You know, that's what we have. That's why we call it God's word. Like he gave this to us for a reason. If you need to hear from God, you're not hearing anything like audible.

[00:44:16] Like just open this thing. Yeah, it's too easy. Yeah. That's why nobody wants to do it. We have to make everything so hard. And I'll look versus up individually and listen to things online and stuff. But as far as reading the actual word and sitting with God,

[00:44:39] with it for a period of time, I struggle with that because I'm going to read some of it. My spirit doesn't agree with that moment. And my mind doesn't like it.

[00:44:51] And I'm going to have to think about it the rest of the day until I ask God to, help me accept that truth that I read it. I don't like because as uncomfortable, it talks about a bunch of people dying in Revelation.

[00:45:06] And if you ever get that next book, probably the most least read in the most read book of the Bible at the same time. I don't know what that makes any sense to people. But the most avoided in the most steady book of all the Bible.

[00:45:19] And then the second one behind that is probably where it was Daniel, it's the prophecy of the end times. There actually came from his training also, or the end or visions. So I was at a restaurant here up here at the Casinos up here.

[00:45:43] And the hostess was reading Revelation, and seeing the revelation. Like at her booth. And I was just like, are you reading the Bible? Like what is this crazy? Like God bless you. She didn't really want to talk about it.

[00:45:57] But I mean, that was a crazy thing to see. Just like not only see somebody with the Bible open at work, but she's got revelation. Like he's not a thing. You know, like maybe one of them really believe her.

[00:46:10] Like there's people saying, like, like, yeah, she didn't want to talk about it. Well, and then I said, things too, she probably didn't. And I can't say that anyway. Yeah, who knows? It's your job.

[00:46:21] You can't be like, oh, but what I'll do is read the Bible on the clock. And stuff like you can't justify that in our world. Render to Caesar, what Caesar's in fifth to God, what's God's. And do it in your personal time. It means more.

[00:46:37] Also, anyways, so you can't be sure about stuff. But defying and she's probably reading it because we're in such a point in history now. Or like, this can't go on much longer. Everybody's thought that from me. I thought Jesus was so oppressed with by Rome.

[00:46:56] It had to be Jesus to have delivered them. And when it didn't happen, it was a huge blow to their ego. And there's like another joke experience that you know, this is not what I'm here for. You know, I came to, you know, and us,

[00:47:11] you know, forgive this for all people and didn't pay for their sins. And second time I come back and it's on, you know, like he came as a servant the first time. And the second time he's coming is a warrior. And he's going to be right at horse.

[00:47:26] You know, it's not going to be too my lord. Yeah, too my, we can do that now. Well, well, what we think we have is, you know, we can't, you know, this is a man. Yes, so if you are joining us, our podcast is back.

[00:47:48] We're hoping to have some more guests. I'm trying to get some like, spiritual leaders. I don't care. Pastor. Whatever it's all I've done. Yeah. I would love to get Park Johnson. Maybe that would be really cool. Because he's amazing. He's a really cool guy. Make cool.

[00:48:09] But yeah, if you join us or just just listening now, we are a middle core band Christian metal core band. And we do this podcast to hopefully connect with some of you guys. And typically on on this show,

[00:48:28] we'll probably pick like a verse from the Bible and go over it. And while we worked, we've in the past. We've made this kind of like a Bible study podcast. This episode was just kind of all over which is kind of chatting and

[00:48:40] glad to be back kind of getting this swing I think. But I think going forward on Friday nights, I would love it if we could get some kind of get do, you know, choose a Bible verse each week and just kind of go over it

[00:48:55] and dive in and see where the whole spirit takes us. So yeah, and so and we would love like you know any kind of. You know pastor or leadership or anything like that that was a podcast digest somebody's some of these it.

[00:49:14] And we'd love you guys to comment in the comments section and you know ask questions. That's always been really fun too. Have that added as well. Yeah, I mean we're not calling anything more than there's got to be

[00:49:32] people out there that will have something that God wants it in the safe. Yeah and they have some people need to hear. So this is a platform that is pretty open to getting the opportunity if you feel like you can bless us everyone around the list of students

[00:49:51] and God at this same time. But just being faithful to which you may not have to do that. But just also like I've always really wanted people to like give me something or something like for if they had some burning coin,

[00:50:11] this wasn't even answered on the internet for some reason. There's a lot of hard things to talk about in the Bible that we could have to do with something like that. Like to send us a message or something.

[00:50:22] But I mean it doesn't even have to be on the podcast is not even about the podcast. Send us a message and we'll have full-on conversations and threads about any issue you might go to dealing with what's

[00:50:34] what's what we've been going through in our lives and we can be free for one another because there's really nothing else to why it says. It's a striving for that end goal which is, I just love to say this man. Dolly's your dis reminding me.

[00:50:52] I can't believe I wasn't going to say it. Well how much nothing else? Yeah, I'm in your book. The thing that I had, I read this sentence and I'll say it real quick.

[00:51:04] You said, I mean, can know the creator has given me a sense of peace for the past. A joy for the present and an excitement for the future. And I always feel it made me reread it like three times before telling me that's basically

[00:51:24] the secret of life right there, like the purpose of life. Yeah, I just gave him the purpose of life. And I'll say it one more time so you have to rewind it. You know, coming to know the creator has given me a sense of peace for the past.

[00:51:44] A joy for the present and an excitement for the future and I'm thinking that what else could you want in life? We all want that but we can't articulate well enough to actually achieve it and it's tried for it.

[00:51:58] So actually saying these things out loud and talking about it and saying this is something you want You don't know yet. You don't get no, you don't get no, you're missing out on something because we're all missing out big.

[00:52:12] Yeah and yeah when I met creator it was like once I understood who y'all was. It wasn't just like, like, God, just this like broad view of this American god that we have. It was like, you know what I really dive deep into the god of the Bible.

[00:52:32] Yeah, wait that's when things changed from, and that's just for personal and failed to. I felt like I was really able to, like, and then higher power is the higher power. Yeah, it's not just any higher power than I could to make up it was it was oh.

[00:52:48] Our god, the creator has a personal name and he wants to be personal with you. And so yeah, I just don't think people will let through so I was really that you know, I struggled with that a lot too.

[00:53:06] That's actually something that this god who we read about would actually do for us. And still wants to do for people. But then you just have to really go into the evidence and see the testimony of the people's lives and look at the testimony

[00:53:23] and they're everywhere in the Bible and just like, look at this. You know, there is a lot of for you know, this actually being answered to everything that you ever had a question for. Yeah, but you don't want to believe that.

[00:53:39] I think because it's too big to be true. Yeah, that's what anybody wants to believe. But this god, the Old Testament is the same god too right now. Right. Yeah, that's something that he did in here. You know, it's a pretty holy and righteous god.

[00:53:57] And now we want to take it change him into like these just our best friend that watches over us. Yeah, you know. Yeah, it's the same thing. And we go between two two two two spectrums. One of them or the we don't think we deserve it.

[00:54:11] And the documents is this that got us forsaken us. The Bible is the biggest tool that they've ever had on his arsenal. This is to convince you to even betrayed by God.

[00:54:22] And there's a whole other end of this picture where people don't think they need to be safe. Because he's this god, I'm not a bad person. I don't see him like that. You know, I'm not going to go to hell.

[00:54:32] And there's two of us in this bedroom with a person who's so sorry for himself. It's too painful to be honest. That's why we need to help each other out. And like people need to be shown the way.

[00:54:43] Like he just said, is this final thing going to make disciples, you know, of their to the people you named it. Like within a few short years, it was across three big, I mean, all of Asia was covered in the gospel.

[00:54:59] I mean, everything was touched by the gospel in the east. And it was just amazing how much ground they could. So that was God spreading out. Like, you know, like while our basically is what I've heard of attributed to it just kind of like,

[00:55:17] while we're in the spread that the shit. Stuffed me great. Okay, keep going. Yeah, what's the deal? We got it. So we're back. Hopefully this will be every Friday night, so in the count of a time. Thank you all for listening. And thank you all for tuning in.

[00:55:36] We had some serious text this evening beginning. And then of course, things will be working perfectly fine. So we're going to have that ass happened like right as we hit live. All this stuff comes down. It's like, feels like it is something from the end of your something.

[00:55:53] Who knows, you know, at experience say so many times we'll get through it. But now it's working great. Thanks to God's grace and. So that's pretty much all we have. I just we just wanted to make an episode and now it's for back.

[00:56:14] And we want to invite you guys. Yeah, remember what that show was that we were, it was like a festival that we're going to go try and play. It, yeah right now. We got reached out by it's like a Christian music festival. And Henderson Arkansas, I believe.

[00:56:37] And you know, they reached out to us. They're looking for Christian. Mental bands or post our core bands. Alternative bands stuff like that. And I guess it's a festival and nonprofit. Christian festival in. Just October October. And Henderson, it's also where we're working on that.

[00:57:01] So see, like that's going to fruition. I'm not sure how far along we are but it's right right. It's their first time doing it. So yeah, I think it's a volunteer. Yeah, it's also a public answer to be volunteers on profit. So they're a band you're interested. Yeah.

[00:57:19] That's the. Yeah, if you're been you want to get on it. Hit us up. We have information about so that's really cool. So yeah, we're working on hopefully playing live soon. We got to remember so. Yeah, it's fun. We love you guys. Thank you so much for listening.

[00:57:39] Thank you so much for having me in. Thinking out joining us supporting our bands, supporting the music. We'll have new music soon. Don't have a timeline yet. We will have new music soon. That would be really cool. Thank you. Yeah. I think that's it. I don't think so.

[00:58:02] Just why to say good to be back. You need to be. You know, same things out loud. Again, you know, besides between you. And so I think it really for your support personally in my life and for the band as well.

[00:58:21] You know, because it's a platform run now. So I'll talk about that. Yeah. Thanks for supporting the band. But also, you know, just just know that people are aware. You know, we're not. We're not welcome since the world or we're just awake.

[00:58:37] And if you are awake also, you know, had to be there long. So I'm just realizing you can reach out to us. But you know, that's all I've got to talk about. I'm just a little bit. Yeah, I mean, that's pretty much all I got.

[00:59:04] Again, my book is coming out March 20th on Amazon, a little man they got. You can pre-order it right now. And then this book is a lot of my attention. So hopefully we're going to be working on music. That's going to be really cool. But yeah, yeah.

[00:59:27] So while we're back, we love you guys. Hit us up. You guys need prayer. We always love to hear from anybody who wants you and need some prayer. And come join us next week. Ask the question if you want to come on the show.

[00:59:44] You know, shoot us an email. We have already met on our Facebook and that's a grand lot of relief. Yeah, this up. We love you guys. We'll close out with a prayer and then till next time. And until next week. See you guys. So just go.

[01:00:05] Father, thank you so much for this evening. You're just, you're incredible. You're holy, amazing. And we're just so thankful that we get this opportunity to just share your word and share what you're doing in our lives. It's fine blowing.

[01:00:35] Thank you for your grace during this with all technical difficulties and your grace and mercy with us. To get this set up, we just want to be obedient to you and your land in our lives.

[01:00:48] And I just pray for anybody listening that this will be a blessing to them. That maybe something from your word really struck with them. Really is holding away in their lives. And that's why we do this.

[01:01:10] We just pray that you're going to continue to speak through us and speak to us. And that this show will continue to help in one person out there. Here you're word and here that the difference sound, the difference sound that comes from the kingdom of heaven.
