Your Path Has Purpose!

[00:00:15] Did you know right now at this very moment your feet are on a path?

[00:00:20] So what direction are you headed in?

[00:00:23] Well, if you don't know, I believe this episode will answer that question for you.

[00:00:36] Destiny is about legacy.

[00:00:39] Jealousy can set in when people see what you can and will be remembered by.

[00:00:46] God gives us gifts, skills and abilities to build our legacy.

[00:00:52] Your gift sets legacy.

[00:00:55] Many people walk around satisfied with just working a job and get enough degree, getting

[00:01:00] married and having some kids.

[00:01:02] And those are good positive things but you don't want to forget about your divine assignment

[00:01:09] and your destiny.

[00:01:11] You can set legacy any and everywhere.

[00:01:15] Your family, your job, your church, even the world.

[00:01:22] Legacy is what you do for others.

[00:01:24] How you inspire others.

[00:01:27] Legacy is change.

[00:01:29] It can only come from one place, your heart.

[00:01:33] So what works will people remember you by?

[00:01:37] Whose legacy are you carrying?

[00:01:40] Are you building a legacy for your children even if they're not born yet?

[00:01:45] Some ingredients for legacy are bravery, obedience, faith, integrity, humbleness but most of all

[00:01:55] passion.

[00:01:57] Usually anyone who has a great legacy operates in any or all of these things.

[00:02:05] In the book of Genesis, Joseph set a legacy with integrity.

[00:02:09] That is what he operated in through his unfair journey of betrayal.

[00:02:14] Pastor set legacy with faith as she called the fast to reverse the plan of the enemy to

[00:02:20] kill her people.

[00:02:23] David set a legacy with bravery.

[00:02:26] When all of the quote and quote heroes of the land were bound with fear, he stepped up

[00:02:31] to the plate and defeated the Philistines champion.

[00:02:36] And there are so many others in the Bible.

[00:02:40] Our Lord and Savior set legacy with his unconditional love and obedience, the way he lived and

[00:02:49] the way he died.

[00:02:52] Great destiny and legacy comes from difficult paths, challenging paths.

[00:03:01] Many people want to take easy paths with a reward of a great destiny and it doesn't happen

[00:03:06] that way.

[00:03:07] If you want certain things, you have to follow that path.

[00:03:13] The Bible is a treasure map.

[00:03:16] If you read and study it, you will find out that it's filled with paths, paths to wealth,

[00:03:23] paths to love, paths to happiness, paths to peace, paths to joy, but even paths to death.

[00:03:32] Your feet right now are on a path.

[00:03:36] I don't know what direction you are headed, but the Word of God can tell you.

[00:03:42] So let's explore.

[00:03:45] God may show you the end of a matter, but not the path because he doesn't want you to

[00:03:51] stray from the path.

[00:03:54] Sometimes we look for God to confirm us through a word of prophecy and he will do that,

[00:04:00] because sometimes your biggest confirmation is through hardship and adversity.

[00:04:07] Again back to Joseph, God showed him the end result through dreams, and I believe that

[00:04:14] is the reason why he endured what he endured.

[00:04:17] If he had not been given those dreams, who knows what he would have done but he stayed

[00:04:22] on the path and the destiny was fulfilled?

[00:04:26] However, the devil shows you the opposite.

[00:04:32] He shows you the path but never the aftermath.

[00:04:36] He shows you all the fame and the riches and the fun and the short-lived success.

[00:04:42] But he never shows you the end result of a matter because if he does, he knows that

[00:04:47] you will stray away from the path.

[00:04:50] Please be aware of this so you are not fooled on which path to go down.

[00:04:55] The devil will do anything he can to get you to stray from the path God has set for

[00:05:01] you.

[00:05:03] He will hit you with hurt, distract you, or even spiritually blind you.

[00:05:11] But please stay focused.

[00:05:13] Some people may look at you and be jealous of your path, not even knowing what you had

[00:05:19] to go through.

[00:05:20] They just may see your harvest and instead of focusing on their path, they are watching

[00:05:26] yours.

[00:05:27] But I am encouraging you to stay focused on your path and don't worry about the haters.

[00:05:33] If you stayed on your path, you deserve the blessings that are attached to it.

[00:05:39] Jesus had a difficult path.

[00:05:43] He knew what he had to face.

[00:05:46] I believe he endured it all because he thought of you and me.

[00:05:50] We were worth it to him, all the pain and suffering.

[00:05:56] He didn't want to go down the path.

[00:05:58] He even prayed to his father to let the cup pass from him.

[00:06:03] But he knew what the end would be so he endured.

[00:06:09] What a mighty God we serve.

[00:06:12] So as you go on your journey, on your path, think about the one who created the path.

[00:06:22] The one who knows you better than you know yourself.

[00:06:25] He knows what you can handle, knows your strength.

[00:06:30] God has ordained the path for you.

[00:06:34] Sometimes the path you are on doesn't make sense and it may even be fearful.

[00:06:40] You must remember Psalm 23, verse 3 and 4.

[00:06:45] He restored my soul.

[00:06:47] He laid with me in the path of righteousness for his namesake.

[00:06:51] Ye though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for

[00:06:56] that art with me.

[00:06:58] Thy ride and thy staff, they comfort me.

[00:07:02] Don't leave the path God has placed your feet on.

[00:07:06] I don't care how hard it gets.

[00:07:08] I don't care how it feels.

[00:07:11] This journey is designed for you to strengthen you in different areas, in your faith.

[00:07:18] I'm sure Job didn't know that the path of great sorrow will lead to great abundance.

[00:07:25] I'm sure Ruf didn't know that either.

[00:07:28] That her path of sorrow and shame will lead to great wealth.

[00:07:33] What people tend to do when things get hard is leave the path because of discomfort.

[00:07:40] Instead of allowing it to make them and mold them into what God has ordained them to be.

[00:07:46] If you leave the path, you may just miss your season which will kill you internally.

[00:07:53] Don't allow people to distract you from the path.

[00:07:57] If anyone in the Bible I named would have left the path, they would not have walked

[00:08:02] into their destiny.

[00:08:05] The path is the plan.

[00:08:08] Don't allow the devil to trick you.

[00:08:10] He will present a path that seems so easy but nothing of great value comes easy.

[00:08:19] As you comment to your destiny, you will understand why you had to go through the things

[00:08:23] you went through.

[00:08:25] The path has purpose.

[00:08:27] It will strengthen you.

[00:08:29] It will enlighten you.

[00:08:31] It will give you more compassion for others.

[00:08:34] It will equip you for your destiny.

[00:08:38] The path is necessary.

[00:08:42] Don't complain while you're on the journey like the Israelites did.

[00:08:46] Don't even look back like Lot's wife did and she turned into a pillar of salt.

[00:08:54] This path is good for you and you need to trust it.

[00:08:59] So if you need direction, here's some things you can do.

[00:09:05] Proverbs 3 and 6.

[00:09:07] In all their ways acknowledge him and he shall direct by paths.

[00:09:13] Proverbs 3 and 14.

[00:09:15] Happy is the man that finds the wisdom and the man that gets it understanding.

[00:09:22] When I'm dropping down to verse 17, her ways are ways of pleasantness and all her paths

[00:09:29] are peace.

[00:09:31] And lastly I'm going to close with Proverbs 4 for 7 through 19.

[00:09:38] And I'm going to read from the NID version.

[00:09:41] The beginning of wisdom is this.

[00:09:44] Get wisdom.

[00:09:45] Though it calls all you have, get understanding.

[00:09:49] Push her and she will exalt you.

[00:09:53] Embrace her and she will honor you.

[00:09:56] She will give you a garland to grace your head.

[00:10:01] And present you with a glorious crown.

[00:10:04] Listen my son, accept what I say and the years of your life will be many.

[00:10:12] I instruct you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths.

[00:10:18] When you walk your steps will not be hampered.

[00:10:22] When you run, you will not stumble.

[00:10:26] Hold on to instruction.

[00:10:28] Don't let it go.

[00:10:30] Guard it well for it is your life.

[00:10:35] Do not set foot on the path of the wicked or walk in the way of evil doers.

[00:10:43] Avoid it.

[00:10:45] Do not travel on it.

[00:10:47] Come from it and go on your way.

[00:10:50] For they cannot rest until they do evil.

[00:10:54] They are robbed of sleep till they make someone stumble.

[00:10:58] They eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence.

[00:11:03] The path of the righteous is like the morning sun.

[00:11:09] Shining ever brighter to the full light of day.

[00:11:13] But the way of the wicked is like deep darkness.

[00:11:17] They do not know what makes them stumble.

[00:11:21] Ultimately, there are only two paths.

[00:11:27] Right and wrong.

[00:11:29] Which one are you going down?
