The path to your destiny may drag you through drama, but God’s plan for your life is greater than the challenges you face. Stay faithful, stay focused, and trust the process.

[00:00:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to The Bible Speaks with your host Elgin Carelock.

[00:00:42] [SPEAKER_00]: The Bible Speaks is a daily podcast dedicated to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, rightly

[00:00:49] [SPEAKER_00]: dividing the word of truth and learning how to apply it to our daily lives.

[00:00:55] [SPEAKER_00]: You may contact Elgin at the address given at the end of the broadcast, and now here's

[00:01:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Elgin.

[00:01:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Brothers and sisters, I welcome you in the name of Yeshua Hamashiyah to another episode

[00:01:09] [SPEAKER_01]: of Words of Inspiration where we explore how God's Word equates us for every step of life's

[00:01:16] [SPEAKER_01]: journey.

[00:01:17] [SPEAKER_01]: And today we're talking about something we all can relate to, the challenges we face

[00:01:23] [SPEAKER_01]: while pursuing God-given vision.

[00:01:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Therefore our title, which was inspired by a talk I listened to from Brother Myron Golden

[00:01:38] [SPEAKER_01]: is Your Vision May Drag You Through Drama on the Way to Your Destiny.

[00:01:45] [SPEAKER_01]: We'll be drawing inspiration from the story of Joseph found in Genesis 37 through 50,

[00:01:53] [SPEAKER_01]: a powerful example of how God gives us a vision, but the path to realizing it is often filled

[00:02:00] [SPEAKER_01]: with trials, unexpected turns, and yes, drama.

[00:02:06] [SPEAKER_01]: But here's the key thought.

[00:02:08] [SPEAKER_01]: God does not give you a vision that you cannot attain, but we must trust Him through the

[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_01]: process of getting there.

[00:02:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Joseph's journey began with a vision, a series of dreams that foretold his rise

[00:02:24] [SPEAKER_01]: to a place of leadership and authority, even over his own family.

[00:02:29] [SPEAKER_01]: But as soon as Joseph shared his vision, drama erupted.

[00:02:35] [SPEAKER_01]: His brothers, fueled by jealousy, sold him into slavery, leading him far away from the

[00:02:42] [SPEAKER_01]: comforts of home and the life he knew.

[00:02:46] [SPEAKER_01]: What a dramatic shift from his dream of leadership.

[00:02:51] [SPEAKER_01]: You see, when God gives you a vision, it doesn't come with the promise of a smooth ride.

[00:02:57] [SPEAKER_01]: In fact, often times the vision God gives you will lead you straight into unexpected

[00:03:03] [SPEAKER_01]: struggle.

[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Genesis 37 and 5 shows how Joseph's dreams spark jealousy and betrayal, and what we

[00:03:13] [SPEAKER_01]: can learn from this is that our dreams often unsettle those around us and even

[00:03:18] [SPEAKER_01]: ourselves.

[00:03:20] [SPEAKER_01]: But here's the thing, the drama you encounter doesn't mean you're off course.

[00:03:26] [SPEAKER_01]: It means you're on your way to your destiny, and God is using the process to shape

[00:03:31] [SPEAKER_01]: you, just as he shaped Joseph through his trials.

[00:03:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Joseph's life took dramatic turns from the favored son of Jacob to a slave in Potiphar's

[00:03:44] [SPEAKER_01]: house and then to a prison after being falsely accused by Potiphar's wife.

[00:03:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Despite these setbacks, God's presence was with Joseph, guiding him through each low

[00:03:57] [SPEAKER_01]: point.

[00:03:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Genesis 39 and 21 tells us the Lord was with him.

[00:04:03] [SPEAKER_01]: He showed him kindness and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden.

[00:04:09] [SPEAKER_01]: In these moments it would have been easy for Joseph to abandon his vision.

[00:04:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Who could blame him?

[00:04:17] [SPEAKER_01]: His life didn't resemble the dream of authority and leadership that God had

[00:04:21] [SPEAKER_01]: given him, but Joseph continued to trust God, even in the most difficult

[00:04:27] [SPEAKER_01]: circumstances.

[00:04:28] [SPEAKER_01]: The pit and the prison weren't distractions from his destiny.

[00:04:33] [SPEAKER_01]: They were necessary parts of the process.

[00:04:36] [SPEAKER_01]: For us, this means that no matter how far we feel from the vision God has

[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_01]: given us, no matter how long we are in the pit of life, we must trust that

[00:04:48] [SPEAKER_01]: God is working behind the scenes just as he did for Joseph.

[00:04:52] [SPEAKER_01]: After years of enduring trials, Joseph's breakthrough came when he

[00:04:57] [SPEAKER_01]: was called to interpret Pharaoh's dreams.

[00:05:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Overnight he went from being a prisoner to being the second most powerful man

[00:05:05] [SPEAKER_01]: in Egypt.

[00:05:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Genesis 41 and 41 says, So Pharaoh said to Joseph, I hereby put you in charge

[00:05:13] [SPEAKER_01]: of the whole land of Egypt.

[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Joseph's story reminds us that no matter how much drama surrounds our

[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_01]: vision, God is in control of the timing.

[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_01]: What looked like failure was actually God positioning Joseph for his

[00:05:29] [SPEAKER_01]: purpose.

[00:05:31] [SPEAKER_01]: And the same is true for us.

[00:05:33] [SPEAKER_01]: The drama in your life, the setbacks, the detours, the delays are all part

[00:05:40] [SPEAKER_01]: of how God is preparing you for your destiny.

[00:05:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Joseph himself acknowledges this in Genesis 50 and 20.

[00:05:47] [SPEAKER_01]: When he says to his brothers, you intended to harm me, but God intended

[00:05:53] [SPEAKER_01]: it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many

[00:05:59] [SPEAKER_01]: lives.

[00:06:00] [SPEAKER_01]: The very drama that seemed to derail Joseph was used by God to

[00:06:05] [SPEAKER_01]: fulfill his plan.

[00:06:07] [SPEAKER_01]: So if you're in the middle of drama right now and your vision feels

[00:06:12] [SPEAKER_01]: further away than ever, remember Joseph's story.

[00:06:15] [SPEAKER_01]: God didn't give you a vision that you cannot attain, but like Joseph, you

[00:06:21] [SPEAKER_01]: will need to trust him in the pit, in the prison and through every

[00:06:27] [SPEAKER_01]: unexpected turn.

[00:06:28] [SPEAKER_01]: The path to your destiny may drag you through drama, but God's plan

[00:06:33] [SPEAKER_01]: for your life is greater than the challenges you face.

[00:06:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Stay faithful, stay focused and trust the process.

[00:06:43] [SPEAKER_01]: God bless.

[00:06:44] [SPEAKER_01]: I thank you for spending time with me on today and I look forward to

[00:06:49] [SPEAKER_01]: our conversation on tomorrow.
