[00:01:02] Brothers and Sisters, I welcome you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit to another episode of Words of Inspiration.
[00:01:14] And today, I'm thrilled to introduce our brand new series, Working Gods Plan.
[00:01:22] As we approach the season of celebrating the birth of Christ and reflect on the closing of the year,
[00:01:29] this series will encourage you to stand firm on God's promises and embrace the plan He has for your life.
[00:01:39] Our inspiration for this series comes from Habakkuk 2, verse 3,
[00:01:45] and reading from the complete Jewish Bible it reads,
[00:02:03] This scripture reminds us that God's plans are intentional, purposeful, and always fulfilled in His perfect timing.
[00:02:13] Instead of chasing fleeting New Year's resolutions that fade after a few weeks,
[00:02:19] why not focus on working God's plan for your life,
[00:02:22] a plan far better than anything you could design on your own.
[00:02:28] During this series, we'll explore the various aspects of working God's plan
[00:02:33] so we can live the abundant life Jesus spoke of and God promised.
[00:02:39] Let's start by addressing the truth in Habakkuk 2 and 3.
[00:02:44] If it delays, wait for it.
[00:02:47] Waiting on God's plan can be challenging because we often want quick answers or immediate results.
[00:02:54] But God's timing is perfect and His vision for your life will surely come.
[00:03:00] Think about this.
[00:03:02] The Israelites waited generations for the promised Messiah.
[00:03:07] When Jesus was born, His arrival fulfilled prophecies spoken centuries before.
[00:03:13] The wait wasn't wasted.
[00:03:15] It was part of God's perfect plan to bring salvation to the world.
[00:03:21] As we prepare to celebrate the birth of Christ,
[00:03:24] let's reflect on what His arrival means for us.
[00:03:27] His life, death, and resurrection secured our freedom,
[00:03:33] restored our relationship with God,
[00:03:36] and gave us access to His divine plan for our lives.
[00:03:41] Every year, millions of people make New Year's resolutions,
[00:03:45] whether it's to lose weight, save money, find a new job, or break a bad habit.
[00:03:51] While there's nothing wrong with setting goals,
[00:03:54] these resolutions often fade because they rely on our own limited strength and vision.
[00:04:01] But when we commit to working God's plan,
[00:04:04] we tap into something greater.
[00:04:07] God's plan isn't a fleeting resolution.
[00:04:10] It's a vision rooted in His promises and powered by His strength.
[00:04:15] Proverbs 16 and 9, reading from the New International Version reads,
[00:04:20] In their hearts, human plans their course,
[00:04:24] but the Lord establishes their steps.
[00:04:29] Our goals can be good,
[00:04:31] but aligning them with God's direction ensures they lead to lasting impact.
[00:04:36] As we enter the new year,
[00:04:39] I encourage you to focus not on what you want,
[00:04:42] but on what God wants for you.
[00:04:45] His plans are always bigger,
[00:04:47] better,
[00:04:48] and more fulfilling.
[00:04:51] The Bible shows us that God has a plan for everyone,
[00:04:55] and His plans bring about life, hope, and purpose.
[00:05:01] Jeremiah 29 and 11 reads,
[00:05:04] For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord,
[00:05:08] plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
[00:05:11] plans to give you hope and a future.
[00:05:15] Working God's plan means surrendering our own desires and trusting that His ways are higher than ours.
[00:05:23] It's not about striving to earn His favor.
[00:05:26] It's about positioning ourselves to receive the blessings He's already prepared.
[00:05:33] When we work God's plan,
[00:05:35] When we work God's plan,
[00:05:35] we experience peace because we are no longer running on our own strength.
[00:05:40] We see provision because God equips us for the purpose He's called us to fulfill.
[00:05:47] And we build a legacy that impacts others and glorifies God.
[00:05:54] Jesus came to give us the abundant life,
[00:05:57] not just in eternity,
[00:05:59] but here and now.
[00:06:01] That abundant life is the result of living in alignment with God's plan.
[00:06:07] John 10.10 reads,
[00:06:09] I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.
[00:06:15] When we work God's plan,
[00:06:17] our relationships become richer because we love others with God's love.
[00:06:23] Our work becomes meaningful because we see it as part of God's greater purpose.
[00:06:29] And our struggles take on a new meaning because we trust that God is using them to refine us
[00:06:35] and prepare us for what's ahead.
[00:06:39] Throughout this series,
[00:06:41] we will unpack practical ways to live out God's purpose for our lives.
[00:06:46] As we come to the end of the year
[00:06:48] and prepare to celebrate the birth of Christ,
[00:06:52] let us remember,
[00:06:54] Jesus didn't come so we could live aimless, chaotic lives.
[00:06:58] He came so we could have peace, direction, and purpose through Him.
[00:07:04] If you've been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure about your future,
[00:07:10] this series is for you.
[00:07:12] God's plan hasn't changed and His promises haven't failed.
[00:07:17] He's inviting you to trust Him,
[00:07:20] lean into His word,
[00:07:21] and walk step by step with Him into the new year.
[00:07:26] God's vision for your life is not a wish or a dream.
[00:07:30] It's a promise.
[00:07:31] As you step into the new year,
[00:07:34] don't settle for resolutions that fade.
[00:07:37] Commit to working God's plan
[00:07:38] and trust that He will bring it to completion in His perfect time.
[00:07:44] Brothers and sisters,
[00:07:45] if today's message spoke to you,
[00:07:47] share it with someone who needs encouragement
[00:07:49] as they prepare for the new year.
[00:07:52] And remember,
[00:07:53] God's plan is worth the wait
[00:07:55] and His promises are true.
[00:07:58] Stay faithful,
[00:08:00] stay encouraged,
[00:08:01] and keep working God's plan for your life.
[00:08:06] I thank you for spending time with me on today,
[00:08:08] and I look forward to our conversation on tomorrow.
[00:08:12] Until then,
[00:08:13] God bless.
