[00:00:59] And now, here's Elgin.

[00:01:02] Brothers and sisters, I welcome you in the name of our risen Savior, Jesus the Christ,

[00:01:08] to another edition of Words of Inspiration,

[00:01:12] where we explore the truths of Scripture and how they guide us in our everyday life.

[00:01:19] And today's message is titled, Simply Wisdom.

[00:01:26] Our scriptural inspiration comes from Romans, chapter 8, verse 28, which says,

[00:01:33] And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God,

[00:01:39] to them who are called according to His purpose.

[00:01:45] I wanted to focus on the idea that nothing we've gone through in life will be wasted.

[00:01:51] Whether you've experienced abuse, sickness, or even the loss of a loved one, God uses all of it,

[00:01:59] combined with your unique gifts, to fulfill the purpose He has for you.

[00:02:06] However, it's important to recognize that these experiences must be shaped and refined by the wisdom found in the Word of God in order to serve His purpose.

[00:02:18] The promise in Romans 8, verse 28 is one of the most reassuring verses in Scripture.

[00:02:25] It reminds us that no matter how difficult our past may be, God can and will use every piece of it for good.

[00:02:36] He doesn't waste our pain, our struggles, our losses.

[00:02:40] Instead, He weaves them together into a greater purpose that we may not always see at the moment.

[00:02:47] If you've experienced challenges like abuse, illness, or grief, it's easy to wonder how these things could possibly lead to anything good.

[00:02:57] But as this Scripture tells us, when we love God and are called according to His purpose,

[00:03:04] every part of our journey has meaning.

[00:03:07] Even the darkest moments become stepping stones toward the fulfillment of the calling God has placed on our lives.

[00:03:15] While God uses our experiences, we must also recognize that wisdom is necessary to navigate through life in a way that pleases God.

[00:03:26] Wisdom is more than just learning from experience.

[00:03:30] It's about aligning those experiences with God's truth and understanding how to use them for His glory.

[00:03:37] The wisdom comes from studying God's Word, spending time in prayer, and seeking His guidance.

[00:03:46] Proverbs 2 and 6 tells us,

[00:03:49] For the Lord giveth wisdom, out of His mouth comes knowledge and understanding.

[00:03:55] Without wisdom, we might find ourselves repeating mistakes of the past,

[00:04:00] stuck in the same cycle of hurt and confusion.

[00:04:04] But when we seek wisdom from God, we gain clarity on how to move forward.

[00:04:10] Not just for our own benefit, but also to serve others.

[00:04:15] God has given us each a set of unique talents.

[00:04:19] And our experiences, whether good or bad, play a significant role in shaping how we use those gifts.

[00:04:27] If you've experienced abuse, you may have a deeper compassion for those who are hurting.

[00:04:33] If you've battled sickness, you might have a unique ability to encourage others going through the same.

[00:04:40] If you've lost a loved one, you may understand grief in a way that allows you to comfort others.

[00:04:47] But for these experiences to truly fulfill the calling God has on your life, they need to be filtered through the lens of Scripture.

[00:04:57] James 1 and 5 encourages us,

[00:05:00] If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not, and it shall be given him.

[00:05:12] When we combine our experiences with the wisdom that comes from God, we are equipped to use those experiences for His glory.

[00:05:21] The ultimate purpose of gaining wisdom is not just to benefit ourselves, but to serve others.

[00:05:28] The hardship you've endured, the lessons you've learned, and the insights you've gained are meant to be shared.

[00:05:35] When we allow God to transform our past, we can minister to others in ways that are deeply personal and meaningful.

[00:05:44] Through the wisdom of God's Word, we learn how to take our experiences and use them to uplift, encourage, and guide those who are walking through similar challenges.

[00:05:55] This is how we fulfill the calling God has placed on our lives.

[00:05:59] To take the good, the bad, and the difficult, and use it all for His glory.

[00:06:07] Let's remember that nothing in our lives is wasted when we love God and live according to His purpose.

[00:06:14] The trials we've faced and the experiences we've endured, when combined with the wisdom of God's Word,

[00:06:22] become tools that God uses to fulfill His plan in and through us.

[00:06:28] Brothers and sisters, Romans 8 and 28 assure us that God is working everything together for good.

[00:06:35] Our responsibility is to seek His wisdom to understand how our past shapes our calling,

[00:06:42] and to use those experiences to serve and bless others.

[00:06:48] I thank you for spending time with me on today.

[00:06:51] And if today's message has encouraged you, I invite you to share it with someone else who may need to hear it.
