[00:00:37] Welcome to The Bible Speaks with your host Elgin Carelock. The Bible Speaks is a daily

[00:00:44] podcast dedicated to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, rightly dividing the word

[00:00:50] of truth and learning how to apply it to our daily lives. You may contact Elgin at the address

[00:00:57] given at the end of the broadcast. And now here's Elgin.

[00:01:02] Brothers and sisters, I welcome you in the name of our risen Savior, Jesus the Christ,

[00:01:08] to another episode of Words of Inspiration. And we are continuing our series titled, Guaranteed

[00:01:16] Victory. Today's episode is called, The Path to Victory. And we're drawing inspiration from

[00:01:24] the powerful story of Saul's transformation into Paul. This story is a profound example

[00:01:32] of how God calls us to continually grow and a deeper commitment to his kingdom's work.

[00:01:41] Saul's journey is not just a story of transformation, but also a reminder that sometimes God has to

[00:01:48] knock us off our feet to prepare us for something greater. Today we'll explore how Saul's conversion

[00:01:55] teaches us that our greatest blessings come when we truly understand our purpose in expanding God's

[00:02:02] kingdom and blessing the lives of others. Before he became Paul, Saul was a Pharisee, deeply committed to

[00:02:10] the laws of Moses. He was well-schooled, respected, and zealous for the traditions of his ancestors.

[00:02:18] However, his zeal was misdirected. He was passionate, but his passion was being used to persecute

[00:02:27] Christians. Philippians 3, verse 5 through 6, reading from the New International Version,

[00:02:34] tells us about Saul's credentials. He was circumcised on the eighth day of the people of Israel,

[00:02:41] of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews, in regard to the law, a Pharisee, as for zeal

[00:02:50] persecuting the church, as for righteousness based on the law, faultless. Saul was so convinced he was

[00:02:58] doing God's work, but God has something much greater in mind for him. Just like Saul, many of us feel

[00:03:05] confident in what we're doing, thinking we're on the right path. But God may be calling us to do

[00:03:13] something higher, a new level of service that requires transformation. The turning point in Saul's life

[00:03:21] came on the road to Damascus. As Saul was on his way to persecute Christians, a light from heaven suddenly

[00:03:29] flashed around him, and he fell to the ground. Jesus spoke directly to him, saying, Saul, Saul,

[00:03:36] why do you persecute me? Found in Acts 9 and 4. This moment changed everything. Saul was blinded and led

[00:03:47] into Damascus, where God would reveal his new purpose. God had a plan for Saul to rise to another level,

[00:03:55] to become a vessel of his grace, and to bring the gospel to the Gentiles. Here's the lesson.

[00:04:03] Sometimes, God needs to interrupt our plans to set us on the right path. We may be comfortable where we

[00:04:10] are, thinking we're doing enough, but God has greater plans for us. Just like Saul had to be

[00:04:17] knocked off his feet, there are moments in our lives where God will allow experiences that shake us,

[00:04:23] not to harm us, but to awaken us to a higher calling. Saul's transformation into Paul wasn't easy.

[00:04:32] He went through a period of blindness, confusion, and complete dependence on others. But in that

[00:04:40] season, God was working behind the scenes to prepare him for his new mission. When Ananias laid hands on

[00:04:47] him, Saul regained his sight, was filled with the Holy Spirit, and was baptized. From that moment on,

[00:04:55] he was no longer Saul the persecutor, but Paul the apostle, a champion for Christ.

[00:05:03] 2 Corinthians 5 and 17 reminds us,

[00:05:07] Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old is gone. The new is here.

[00:05:16] Paul's story teaches us that when we trust God and embrace the transformation he's leading us through,

[00:05:24] we can go on to do great things. God doesn't just change us for our own benefit. He transforms us

[00:05:32] so that we can impact others and bring him glory. The path to victory in our own lives may not always

[00:05:40] look like what we expect. Sometimes we pray for blessings or direction, but instead we face challenges

[00:05:48] that knock us down. But as Saul's story shows us, those moments are often God's way of preparing us

[00:05:55] for something greater. Our greatest blessing comes when we understand that our purpose is not just about

[00:06:01] our comfort or success, but about expanding God's kingdom and blessing others. God has called each of

[00:06:09] us to rise to another level of faith, commitment, and service. And just like Paul, we must be willing

[00:06:17] to surrender to God's plan, even when it takes us through uncomfortable or unexpected places.

[00:06:25] Romans 8 and 28 assures us, and we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him,

[00:06:33] who have been called according to his purpose. When we trust in God's process and embrace the

[00:06:41] transformation he's leading us through, we're set on a path to victory that not only blesses our lives,

[00:06:48] but also impact those around us. Here are a few practical steps to help you embrace the path to victory

[00:06:56] that God has for you. Number one, surrender your plan. Be willing to let go of what you think your life

[00:07:04] should look like and allow God to lead you into new territories, just as he did with Paul.

[00:07:12] Number two, seek God's guidance and trials. When you face challenges that knock you down,

[00:07:18] don't be discouraged. Ask God what he's trying to teach you and how he's preparing you for what's next.

[00:07:27] Number three, embrace the new identity. Just as Saul became Paul, embrace the new person God is shaping

[00:07:35] you to be. Let go of past failures and embrace the mission God has for you. And finally, bless others.

[00:07:45] Remember that your transformation is not just for you. God wants to use your story to inspire,

[00:07:53] encourage, and bless others. Step out in faith and serve those around you. Brothers and sisters,

[00:08:02] remember that God has a plan for your life that goes beyond what you see right now. Just like Paul,

[00:08:09] you may face moments that knock you off your feet, but those experiences are shaping you for

[00:08:14] greater impact. When you trust God and the finished work of Jesus on the cross, your victory is already

[00:08:22] secured. If today's message encouraged you, share it with someone who needs a reminder that God's plans

[00:08:29] are always greater than our own. And remember, the path to victory is not always easy, but it's always

[00:08:38] worth it. Keep pressing forward. Keep trusting God and keep embracing the transformation he is working

[00:08:46] in your life. I thank you for spending time with me on today. I hope you have a wonderful weekend

[00:08:54] and I look forward to our conversation on Sunday. Until then, God bless.
