[00:01:02] Brothers and Sisters, I welcome you in the name of our risen Savior, Jesus the Christ,
[00:01:08] to another episode of Words of Inspiration.
[00:01:13] And today we are on the fifth episode of our series, Don't Look Back.
[00:01:19] And we're talking about a crucial next step in our Christian lives.
[00:01:25] Take the Journey.
[00:01:27] Our inspiration comes from Deuteronomy 1, verses 6-7, where God tells the Israelites,
[00:01:35] The Lord our God said to us at Horeb,
[00:01:38] You have stayed long enough at this mountain.
[00:01:42] Break camp and advance into the hill country of the Amorites.
[00:01:46] Go to all the neighboring peoples.
[00:01:49] This passage is a call to action.
[00:01:52] It's a reminder that we can't stay in a place of comfort or stagnation when God is calling us forward.
[00:01:59] Now that we've written our goals from God's perspective,
[00:02:03] it's time to take the journey toward fulfilling his purpose for our lives.
[00:02:08] The Israelites had been camped at Mount Horeb for a long time, a place where they had encountered God and received his commands.
[00:02:17] But God didn't want them to stay there forever.
[00:02:20] He had greater plans for them, and it was time to move forward.
[00:02:25] In the same way, God is calling us to move forward in 2025.
[00:02:31] Writing down your goals and aligning them with God's will is an important first step.
[00:02:38] But now it's time to act.
[00:02:40] It's time to break camp and advance into the purpose God has for you.
[00:02:46] Ask yourself, what has God been preparing me for?
[00:02:50] What steps do I need to take to move forward?
[00:02:54] God's call to advance isn't just about reaching a destination.
[00:02:58] It's about the growth, lessons and trust we develop along the way.
[00:03:05] Let's be honest.
[00:03:07] Every journey includes challenges.
[00:03:10] Deuteronomy 1 and 7 talks about advancing into the hill country.
[00:03:15] A reminder that the path forward isn't always easy.
[00:03:19] There will be trials, valleys and storms along the way.
[00:03:24] But here's the key.
[00:03:26] These trials aren't meant to defeat us.
[00:03:28] They're designed to grow us.
[00:03:32] James 1 verses 2 through 4 encourages us to consider it pure joy whenever you face trials of many kind.
[00:03:40] Because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.
[00:03:46] When challenges arrives in your journey, don't just ask, why is this happening to me?
[00:03:52] Instead, ask, Lord, what are you trying to teach me in this moment?
[00:03:58] How can I grow mentally, spiritually, relationally through this trial?
[00:04:05] How can I bring you glory while going through this storm?
[00:04:10] Every storm is an opportunity to strengthen your faith, deepen your character and draw closer to God.
[00:04:19] The good news is that storms don't last forever.
[00:04:23] On the other side of the journey, there are breakthroughs waiting.
[00:04:27] 2025 may be the year of tremendous blessing in your life.
[00:04:32] A year of answered prayers, restored relationships and new opportunities.
[00:04:37] But here's the challenge.
[00:04:40] Breakthroughs require stewardship.
[00:04:42] As God blesses you, you must ask him to order your steps and give you wisdom to manage those blessings well.
[00:04:50] Proverbs 16 and 3 reminds us, commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.
[00:04:59] Make it a habit to pray.
[00:05:02] Lord, how can I use these blessings to serve your purpose?
[00:05:06] Give me discernment to make wise decisions.
[00:05:10] Help me steward these resources for your glory.
[00:05:15] When we let God lead, we not only reach our destination, but we also use what we've gained to bless others and expand his kingdom.
[00:05:25] The journey ahead may feel daunting at times, but remember this.
[00:05:30] You don't have to travel alone.
[00:05:32] God promises to go with you every step of the way.
[00:05:37] Isaiah 41 and 10 reassures us,
[00:05:41] So do not fear, for I am with you.
[00:05:43] Do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
[00:05:47] I will strengthen you and help you.
[00:05:50] I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
[00:05:54] When God leads, there is no need to fear the unknown.
[00:05:58] He has already prepared the path, equipped you for the challenges, and secured the victory.
[00:06:05] All he asks is that you trust him and take the first step.
[00:06:10] Brothers and sisters, I want to challenge you.
[00:06:13] Don't stay at the mountain.
[00:06:16] Take the journey God has prepared for you in 2025.
