[00:00:49] rightly dividing the word of truth and learning how to apply it to our daily lives.

[00:00:59] And now, here's Elgin.
[00:01:02] Brothers and sisters, I welcome you in the name of our risen Savior, Jesus the Christ,
[00:01:08] to another edition of Words of Inspiration, where we are not ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
[00:01:17] And today's episode is titled, Some Assembly Required.
[00:01:24] We'll be drawing our inspiration from Romans chapter 12, verse 2, which reads,
[00:01:30] And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,
[00:01:38] that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
[00:01:48] We live in a world that constantly tries to shape our thoughts, actions, and beliefs.
[00:01:53] But as followers of Christ, we're called to a different kind of transformation.
[00:01:59] A transformation that requires us to renew our minds.
[00:02:03] So today, we'll talk about renewing your mind is like assembling a complex puzzle.
[00:02:09] It takes time, patience, and the right tools.
[00:02:15] And just like a project, it's a process that prepares us for God's purposes.
[00:02:23] The first step in the process of renewing your mind is immersing yourself in the word of God.
[00:02:28] The Bible is more than just a book.
[00:02:31] It's God's manual for how we are to live, think, and act.
[00:02:36] Romans 12 and 2 reminds us that we should not conform to the patterns of this world,
[00:02:41] but be transformed by the renewing of our mind.
[00:02:45] When we read scripture, we are feeding our minds with God's truth,
[00:02:50] replacing the lies and the distractions of the world with his promises and commands.
[00:02:55] 2 Timothy 3, verses 16-17 says,
[00:03:03] All scripture is given by inspiration of God,
[00:03:06] and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instructions in righteousness,
[00:03:14] that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
[00:03:21] Reading the Bible consistently is like putting together the first pieces of a puzzle.
[00:03:26] It gives you a solid foundation and begins the process of transformation.
[00:03:32] However, reading alone is not enough.
[00:03:35] It's only the beginning of assembling the full picture.
[00:03:39] The next step in renewing your mind is allowing the Holy Spirit to bring understanding.
[00:03:46] The Bible is rich with wisdom, but without the Holy Spirit's guidance, we may miss its deeper meaning.
[00:03:53] John 14 and 26 says,
[00:03:56] But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name,
[00:04:02] he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance,
[00:04:06] whatsoever I have said unto you.
[00:04:10] The Holy Spirit acts as a guide, helping us to understand how to apply God's word to our lives.
[00:04:17] When we invite the Holy Spirit to teach us, our minds are renewed, and we begin to see things from God's perspective.
[00:04:26] It's like receiving the instruction manual for that complicated project labeled,
[00:04:31] Some Assembly Required.
[00:04:33] Suddenly, what seemed confusing starts to make sense.
[00:04:37] But here's the thing.
[00:04:40] Understanding God's word is not the final step.
[00:04:44] To truly be transformed, our understanding needs to be tested.
[00:04:49] This is where trials come in.
[00:04:52] It's through life's challenges that our knowledge turns into wisdom.
[00:04:57] Trials refine us, turning what we've learned into real life experience.
[00:05:04] James 1 verses 2 through 4 says,
[00:05:08] My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into diverse temptations,
[00:05:14] knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
[00:05:19] But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
[00:05:27] Trials are not meant to break us, but to build us.
[00:05:31] They take the pieces of God's word and the understanding given by the Holy Spirit, and transform them into wisdom.
[00:05:40] This wisdom equips us to fulfill the purpose for which God called us to earth.
[00:05:45] Without trials, our faith would remain theoretical.
[00:05:49] Never maturing into something that can truly impact the world.
[00:05:55] When we combine the word of God, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and the lessons learned from trials, we are transformed.
[00:06:04] We become vessels that God can use for his purpose.
[00:06:09] This process of renewing is ongoing.
[00:06:12] But it's essential for us to be effective in the calling God has placed on our lives.
[00:06:19] Romans 12 and 2 reminds us that our minds are renewed when we begin to understand God's will for us.
[00:06:27] His good, acceptable, and perfect will.
[00:06:31] We can't fulfill our God-given purpose if we are still conformed to the world.
[00:06:37] We need to be transformed.
[00:06:39] And that transformation requires a commitment to continual renewal.
[00:06:46] So where are you in the assembly process?
[00:06:49] Are you reading word, but not yet seeking the Holy Spirit for understanding?
[00:06:53] Are you facing trials and wondering why God is allowing them?
[00:06:58] Remember, every step is necessary.
[00:07:01] God is assembling something great in you.
[00:07:04] But it requires your cooperation, patience, and trust.
[00:07:09] Just like a project labeled some assembly required, the renewing of your mind takes time.
[00:07:17] But the end result is worth it.
[00:07:19] A life that is transformed and ready to serve God's purposes.
[00:07:26] Brothers and sisters, I hope you are encouraged to keep pressing forward in the renewal process.
[00:07:33] And if this message resonated with you, share it with someone who needs to hear it.
[00:07:39] And remember, God is not finished with you yet.
[00:07:43] He's still assembling something beautiful in your life.
[00:07:48] I thank you for spending time with me on today.
[00:07:51] And I look forward to our time together on tomorrow.
[00:07:55] Until then, God bless.
