[00:01:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Brothers and sisters, I welcome you in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy
[00:01:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Spirit to another episode of Words of Inspiration where we explore timeless wisdoms of the Bible
[00:01:16] [SPEAKER_01]: and how it guides us in our journey through life.
[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_01]: And today we're talking about something that touches the heart of every believer, preparing
[00:01:26] [SPEAKER_01]: for blessings.
[00:01:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Our focus today comes from the powerful words found in Habakkuk 2, verse 3, which reads,
[00:01:37] [SPEAKER_01]: For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it will speak and will not
[00:01:44] [SPEAKER_01]: lie.
[00:01:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Though it tarries, wait for it, because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
[00:01:53] [SPEAKER_01]: These words from Habakkuk are a beacon of hope and encouragement, reminding us that
[00:02:00] [SPEAKER_01]: God's blessings are certain and sure, and they will come.
[00:02:05] [SPEAKER_01]: But they will come in His perfect timing.
[00:02:09] [SPEAKER_01]: So how do we prepare ourselves to receive these blessings?
[00:02:13] [SPEAKER_01]: How do we position our hearts, minds, and lives to be ready when God promises are
[00:02:19] [SPEAKER_01]: fulfilled?
[00:02:19] [SPEAKER_01]: So let's take a look at this together, exploring what the Bible says about preparing for the
[00:02:26] [SPEAKER_01]: blessings God has in store for you.
[00:02:30] [SPEAKER_01]: First, let us talk about the importance of trusting God's timing.
[00:02:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Habakkuk 2 and 3 makes it clear that vision, which is God's promise, has an appointed
[00:02:44] [SPEAKER_01]: time.
[00:02:45] [SPEAKER_01]: This means that the blessings God has planned for you are set for a specific moment in time,
[00:02:52] [SPEAKER_01]: a moment that He has perfectly orchestrated.
[00:02:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Proverbs 3, verses 5 through 6, is a scripture that beautifully complements this idea.
[00:03:03] [SPEAKER_01]: It reads,
[00:03:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding.
[00:03:10] [SPEAKER_01]: In all your ways submit to Him and He will make your path straight.
[00:03:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Trusting God's timing requires us to let go of our own timelines and expectations, and
[00:03:24] [SPEAKER_01]: instead lean fully on His understanding, knowing that He will bring about His blessings
[00:03:29] [SPEAKER_01]: at the right time.
[00:03:32] [SPEAKER_01]: While we wait for God's blessings, there's work to be done, preparation that needs to
[00:03:38] [SPEAKER_01]: take place.
[00:03:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Waiting in faith doesn't mean sitting idle, it means actively preparing for what's
[00:03:46] [SPEAKER_01]: to come.
[00:03:48] [SPEAKER_01]: In Matthew 25, verses 1 through 13, Jesus shares the parable of the ten virgins.
[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Five were wise and kept their lamps filled with oil, ready for the bridegroom, while the
[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_01]: other five were foolish and unprepared.
[00:04:05] [SPEAKER_01]: When the bridegroom arrived, only the prepared were able to enter the wedding feast.
[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_01]: This parable teaches us that preparation is key to being ready for God's blessings.
[00:04:19] [SPEAKER_01]: This kind of preparation might involve spiritual disciplines like prayer, studying a word,
[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_01]: and growing in your relationship with God.
[00:04:28] [SPEAKER_01]: It could also mean getting your life in order, whether it's finances, relationships, or
[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_01]: personal growth.
[00:04:36] [SPEAKER_01]: God's blessing comes when you're ready, and fully ready to receive them.
[00:04:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Next, let's talk about faithfulness during the waiting period.
[00:04:47] [SPEAKER_01]: It's easy to get discouraged when the blessings don't come as soon as we would like them
[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_01]: to.
[00:04:54] [SPEAKER_01]: But Habakkuk 2 and 3 encourages us to wait for it, because it'll surely come.
[00:05:02] [SPEAKER_01]: In Hebrews 10, verse 36, we're reminded, you need to persevere so that when you've
[00:05:09] [SPEAKER_01]: done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised.
[00:05:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Faithfulness in waiting means continuing to do what God has called you to do, even
[00:05:19] [SPEAKER_01]: when you don't see immediate results.
[00:05:21] [SPEAKER_01]: It's about staying the course, trusting that God's promises are on the way, and being
[00:05:28] [SPEAKER_01]: diligent in the meantime.
[00:05:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Finally, to prepare for blessings, it's crucial that we align our desires with God's will.
[00:05:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Psalm 37 and 4 says, Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the
[00:05:46] [SPEAKER_01]: desires of your heart.
[00:05:48] [SPEAKER_01]: This doesn't mean that God will grant your every whim, but rather, as we delight in Him,
[00:05:55] [SPEAKER_01]: our desires begin to reflect His will, and He is pleased to fulfill them.
[00:06:03] [SPEAKER_01]: Aligning with God's will involves regular prayer, seeking His guidance, and being
[00:06:09] [SPEAKER_01]: willing to let go of anything that doesn't fit within His plan for our lives.
[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_01]: It's about being open and ready for whatever form the blessing takes, even if it
[00:06:20] [SPEAKER_01]: looks different from what we originally imagined.
[00:06:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Resonant sisters, as you go about your day, I encourage you to think about the
[00:06:30] [SPEAKER_01]: ways you can better prepare for the blessings God has for you.
[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_01]: What steps can you take today to ensure you're ready when His promises are
[00:06:41] [SPEAKER_01]: fulfilled?
[00:06:42] [SPEAKER_01]: I thank you for spending time with me on today.
[00:06:47] [SPEAKER_01]: I hope you have a wonderful weekend, and I look forward to our conversation on
