[00:00:37] Welcome to The Bible Speaks with your host Elgin Carelock.

[00:00:42] The Bible Speaks is a daily podcast dedicated to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ,

[00:00:49] rightly dividing the word of truth, and learning how to apply it to our daily lives.

[00:00:55] You may contact Elgin at the address given at the end of the broadcast.

[00:00:59] And now, here's Elgin.

[00:01:02] Brothers and sisters, I welcome you.

[00:01:04] In the name of Yeshua HaMashiach.

[00:01:08] To another episode of Words of Inspiration.

[00:01:13] And today, I'm so excited to continue in our series, Working God's Plan.

[00:01:21] This series is inspired by Habakkuk 2 verse 3.

[00:01:26] And reading from the complete Jewish Bible, it reads,

[00:01:30] For the vision is yet for an appointed time.

[00:01:33] It speaks of the end.

[00:01:36] And it does not lie.

[00:01:38] If it delays, wait for it.

[00:01:41] It will surely come.

[00:01:43] It will not delay.

[00:01:46] This powerful scripture reminds us that God's vision and plans for our lives is intentional.

[00:01:52] And it will come to pass.

[00:01:56] But in his perfect timing.

[00:01:58] As we wait on the vision, we must be faithful in working God's plan.

[00:02:04] Building who we are.

[00:02:06] Walking in his purpose.

[00:02:07] And bringing him glory with everything we do.

[00:02:11] So today's episode is titled, His Purpose.

[00:02:16] And it is inspired by Philippians 2 verse 13.

[00:02:22] And reading from the Amplified Version, it reads,

[00:02:26] For it is not your strength, but it is God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work.

[00:02:35] That is strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose for his good pleasure.

[00:02:46] So let's talk about what it means to work God's plan by leaning on his power to fulfill his purpose for our lives.

[00:02:56] The first thing we must understand is that we were created for God's purpose, not our own.

[00:03:02] It's not about chasing personal ambition or worldly success.

[00:03:07] It's about aligning ourselves with his will so that we can bring him glory and serve his people.

[00:03:15] Philippians 2 and 13 reminds us that God is the one working in us.

[00:03:21] He gives us the desire to do his will and he empowers us to carry it out.

[00:03:28] This means you don't have to figure it all out on your own.

[00:03:32] You don't need to rely solely on your own strength.

[00:03:36] And the Holy Spirit is working in you to align your desires with God's promises.

[00:03:42] This is so important to remember.

[00:03:44] The fact that you have dreams, ideas, and a passion to make a difference is evident that God is already at work in you.

[00:03:54] He's planted those seeds and he's given you everything you need to fulfill them.

[00:04:00] God just doesn't call us to a purpose and leave us to figure it out.

[00:04:04] He equips us with the Holy Spirit to guide and empower us.

[00:04:09] The Holy Spirit works inside of us not just to want to do his will but to actually do it.

[00:04:17] Acts 1 and 8 reading from the New International Version reads,

[00:04:34] The power of the Holy Spirit strengthens us when we feel weak, energizes us when we feel weary, and gives us wisdom when we lack understanding.

[00:04:45] When you feel unsure about what God has called you to do, remember that it's not your strength.

[00:04:52] It's his spirit working through you.

[00:04:55] Working God's plan for our lives requires us to focus on two things.

[00:05:00] Who are we becoming and how we serve others.

[00:05:05] God's plan is as much about who you are as it is about what you do.

[00:05:12] He's refining your character, building your faith, and teaching you to trust him.

[00:05:19] God's purpose for your life will always bring him glory and serve his people.

[00:05:24] Whether you're using your gifts in ministry, business, family, or the community,

[00:05:30] the question to ask is, how can I bring value to others and point them to God?

[00:05:36] Matthew 5 and 16 reads,

[00:05:38] Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

[00:05:46] When you build yourself through prayer, studying the word, and walking obedience,

[00:05:53] you become a vessel through which God's glory can shine.

[00:05:58] So how do we practically work God's plan for our lives?

[00:06:02] Here are three steps.

[00:06:05] Number one, seek God daily.

[00:06:08] Spend time in his word and prayer to know his will.

[00:06:13] Psalm 111 verse 105 reads,

[00:06:16] Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

[00:06:21] Number two, surrender your plans.

[00:06:25] Allow God to shape your goals and dreams according to his purpose.

[00:06:30] Proverbs 16 and 3 reminds us,

[00:06:34] Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.

[00:06:39] And number three, step out in faith.

[00:06:43] God has already equipped you for his purpose.

[00:06:46] Take bold steps and walk in obedience.

[00:06:49] Trust that he will guide you.

[00:06:52] 2 Timothy 1 and 7 reminds us,

[00:06:55] For the spirit God gave us does not make us timid,

[00:06:58] but gives us power, love, and self-discipline.

[00:07:04] As we continue through this series,

[00:07:06] I want you to reflect on the fact that

[00:07:08] God's purpose for your life is not random.

[00:07:12] It's intentional, powerful, and far beyond anything you could imagine.

[00:07:18] You are not working alone.

[00:07:19] The Holy Spirit is within you,

[00:07:22] giving you the desire to do God's will,

[00:07:25] and the power to accomplish it.

[00:07:28] Let's stop striving for our own plans,

[00:07:31] and start working the plan that God has already laid out for us.

[00:07:35] His purpose is always greater,

[00:07:37] and when we trust him,

[00:07:39] we bring him glory,

[00:07:40] and bless those around us.

[00:07:43] As we come to the end of this episode,

[00:07:46] let's hold on to Philippians 2 and 13.

[00:07:50] This week, take time to pray and ask God to reveal his purpose for your life.

[00:07:55] Let him refine your desires and empower you through the Holy Spirit to take the next steps.

[00:08:02] Brothers and sisters,

[00:08:04] if this episode has inspired you,
