[00:00:37] Welcome to The Bible Speaks with your host Elgin Carelock.

[00:00:42] The Bible Speaks is a daily podcast dedicated to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ,

[00:00:49] rightly dividing the word of truth and learning how to apply it to our daily lives.

[00:00:55] You may contact Elgin at the address given at the end of the broadcast.

[00:00:59] And now, here's Elgin.

[00:01:02] Brothers and Sisters, I welcome you in the name of our risen Savior, Jesus to Christ,

[00:01:09] to another edition of Words of Inspiration.

[00:01:13] And today I'm truly excited to introduce our new series titled, Guaranteed Victory.

[00:01:23] In this series we'll deep dive into what it means to live victoriously as Christians,

[00:01:28] even in the face of life's challenges.

[00:01:32] We're taking our inspiration from 2 Corinthians 1, verses 3-4,

[00:01:40] and reading from the English Standard Version, it reads,

[00:01:46] Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

[00:01:50] the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,

[00:01:55] who comforts us in all our affliction,

[00:01:58] so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction,

[00:02:02] with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

[00:02:09] This passage beautifully highlights that God is not only the source of all comfort,

[00:02:14] but also our assurance in times of difficulty.

[00:02:18] As believers, we don't just scrape by in life.

[00:02:22] No, we are guaranteed victory because of who God is and what he has promised us.

[00:02:29] So today, let's set the stage for this series and explore how we can live with confidence,

[00:02:37] peace, and resilience, knowing that God's promises are unshakable.

[00:02:44] Let's begin with the foundation of this series, the fact that God is our source of comfort.

[00:02:51] Paul writes in 2 Corinthians that God comforts us in all our afflictions,

[00:02:57] not just some, but all.

[00:03:01] This is a powerful reminder that no matter what we're going through,

[00:03:05] God is right there with us, ready to provide his wisdom and strength.

[00:03:11] However, his comfort is not just for us to hold on to for ourselves.

[00:03:17] As the passage says, God comforts us so that we can comfort others.

[00:03:23] This is the key principle in our Christian walk.

[00:03:26] The blessings we receive from God are meant to flow through us to others.

[00:03:34] One of the core messages of this series is that we can face life's challenges with unwavering confidence

[00:03:41] because we serve a God who cannot lie.

[00:03:45] Hebrews 6 and 18, reading from the English Standard Version says,

[00:03:50] It is impossible for God to lie.

[00:03:54] This means that every promise God has made will come to pass.

[00:03:59] When he says he will be with us, he means it.

[00:04:03] When he says he will provide for us, we can trust him.

[00:04:06] And when he says that we are more than conquerors through Christ,

[00:04:10] we can stand on that promise, knowing that our victory is guaranteed.

[00:04:17] We often find ourselves anxious or worried because we doubt whether God's promises are true.

[00:04:23] But this series will remind us that we have no reason to fear for God is faithful.

[00:04:30] If he said it, he will do it.

[00:04:35] In this series, we'll also explore how we should respond to challenges we face.

[00:04:42] It's easy to feel overwhelmed by the trials of life.

[00:04:45] But as believers, we're called to respond differently.

[00:04:50] Philippians 4 verses 6 through 7, again reading from the English Standard Version tells us,

[00:04:58] Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving,

[00:05:06] let your requests be known to God.

[00:05:10] And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,

[00:05:14] will guide your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

[00:05:20] We often forget that we are not alone in our struggles.

[00:05:24] God has already gone ahead of us and he is working all things for our good,

[00:05:29] just as Romans 8 and 28 promises.

[00:05:33] And we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him,

[00:05:39] who have been called according to his purpose.

[00:05:43] When we truly believe that God is in control,

[00:05:47] it changes the way we face trials.

[00:05:50] We no longer see them as obstacles, but as opportunities for God to show up and show out in our lives.

[00:05:59] This series, Guaranteed Victory, will cover various aspects of our journey as Christians,

[00:06:06] from dealing with disappointments and setbacks,

[00:06:09] to learning how to trust God when the future looks uncertain.

[00:06:14] We'll dive into biblical principles that assure us of victory.

[00:06:19] Therefore, we'll explore topics like fear not.

[00:06:24] That's not what I asked for.

[00:06:27] The path to victory.

[00:06:30] Stand and go tell that.

[00:06:34] Throughout this series, I want to challenge you to lean into the truth of God's word.

[00:06:40] If we truly believe that God's promises are real,

[00:06:44] then we can live with the confidence that the world cannot understand.

[00:06:49] We don't need to be anxious, worried or fearful because we know that God is in control.

[00:06:57] When we embrace this truth, we're able to face life's challenges with a heart full of peace,

[00:07:04] knowing that the victory is already ours.

[00:07:07] As first John five and four reminds us for everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world.

[00:07:16] And this is the victory that has overcome the world.

[00:07:20] Our faith.

[00:07:23] Brothers and sisters together,

[00:07:25] we're going to discover how to live in the fullness of God's promise and walk in the victory that has already been won for us through Jesus Christ.

[00:07:36] Let's commit to growing in our faith,

[00:07:39] trusting God more deeply and living out the truth that we are already victorious.

[00:07:46] If today's message has stirred something in your heart,

[00:07:50] please share this podcast with someone who needs the encouragement.

[00:07:54] And remember, God has already secured your victory.

[00:07:59] Trust in his promises.

[00:08:01] Lean into his comfort

[00:08:02] and walk in the assurance that all things truly work for the good of those who love him.

[00:08:09] I thank you for spending time with me on today.

[00:08:12] And I look forward to our time together on tomorrow.

[00:08:16] Until then, God bless.
