[00:01:02] Brothers and sisters, I welcome you in the name of our risen Savior, Jesus the Christ, to another episode of Words of Inspiration.
[00:01:13] And today's episode, I feel is fitting, is titled, Every Day is a Day of Thanksgiving.
[00:01:23] Our inspiration comes from Psalm 103 verses 8-12. And reading from the New Living Translation, it reads,
[00:01:33] The Lord is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.
[00:01:41] He will not constantly accuse us nor remain angry forever.
[00:01:46] He does not punish us for all our sins.
[00:01:50] He does not deal harshly with us as we deserve.
[00:01:53] For His unfailing love toward those who fear Him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth.
[00:02:01] He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.
[00:02:09] If you hear my voice today, let me tell you this.
[00:02:13] You are blessed and highly favored.
[00:02:17] Every breath we take is evidence of God's mercy and love.
[00:02:22] Thanksgiving isn't just a holiday or a one-time event.
[00:02:27] It's a daily posture of gratitude for a God who loves us unconditionally and gives us far more than we could ever deserve.
[00:02:37] First, let's pause and reflect.
[00:02:40] If you're alive today, it means God has given you another chance.
[00:02:46] Another chance to live, to love, to serve, and to grow.
[00:02:52] Every day is a gift.
[00:02:54] The very breath in our lungs is a blessing.
[00:02:57] And if you can hear these words, you're already experiencing the grace of God.
[00:03:03] Psalm 103, verse 10-11 says,
[00:03:22] God's blessings aren't just material.
[00:03:25] God's blessings are spiritual, emotional, and eternal.
[00:03:30] He forgives our sins, shows us mercy, and extends His love to us even when we fall short.
[00:03:38] That alone is a reason to give thanks every single day.
[00:03:44] Often, we think of God as a rewarder, someone who gives us things when we do what's right.
[00:03:51] But more importantly, He is our Father, a loving parent who desires nothing more than for us to live our best lives.
[00:04:00] As a Father, God doesn't just want to bless us.
[00:04:04] He wants a relationship with us.
[00:04:07] He wants us to know Him, trust Him, and walk with Him.
[00:04:11] He wants us to experience the fullness of life that comes from abiding in Him.
[00:04:18] Jeremiah 29, verse 11 reminds us,
[00:04:22] For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord.
[00:04:27] Plans to prosper you and not to harm you.
[00:04:30] Plans to give you hope and a future.
[00:04:34] God's plan for us is good.
[00:04:36] He's not just looking to reward us for good behavior.
[00:04:40] He wants us to thrive in every area of our lives.
[00:04:44] And He's given us His Word, His Spirit, and His Son to help us do just that.
[00:04:52] Now let's talk about what God asks in return.
[00:04:56] It's not a long list of impossible demands.
[00:04:59] It's simply this.
[00:05:01] Number one, study His Word.
[00:05:05] The Bible is God's guidebook for our lives.
[00:05:08] It's filled with wisdom, promises, and principles that lead to a life of abundance and peace.
[00:05:16] Psalm 119, verse 105 says,
[00:05:20] Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.
[00:05:26] Number two, allow the Holy Spirit to work in us.
[00:05:31] The Holy Spirit is our helper, guiding us in all truth and giving us the understanding we need to apply God's Word to our lives.
[00:05:41] John 14 and 26 says,
[00:05:44] But the advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
[00:05:55] And number three, make Jesus Lord of our lives.
[00:06:01] Accepting Jesus as Savior is the beginning.
[00:06:04] But making Him Lord means letting Him lead every part of our lives.
[00:06:09] It means trusting Him with our decisions, our struggles, and our dreams.
[00:06:16] Matthew 6, verse 33 reminds us,
[00:06:20] But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
[00:06:27] When we commit to these three things, we align ourselves with God's will and open the door to blessings we can't even imagine.
[00:06:37] Here's the amazing thing about God.
[00:06:40] His blessings are both visible and invisible.
[00:06:44] We often thank Him for the things we can see, our health, our family, our jobs.
[00:06:51] But there's so much more that He does behind the scenes.
[00:06:55] He protects us from dangers we're not even aware of.
[00:06:59] He opens doors we didn't know we needed, and closes one that would have led to our harm.
[00:07:05] He works in the hearts of others to bring favor into our lives.
[00:07:11] Ephesians 3 and 20 reminds us,
[00:07:13] Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.
[00:07:26] God's goodness is immeasurable, and His blessings often exceed what we could ever think to ask for.
[00:07:32] For this, we owe Him daily thanksgiving.
[00:07:38] Thanksgiving isn't just about saying thank you to God.
[00:07:41] It's about living a life that reflects gratitude.
[00:07:44] When we study His word, allow the Spirit to guide us, and let Jesus be Lord of our lives,
[00:07:51] we're showing God that we appreciate all He's done for us.
[00:07:56] Colossians 3 and 17 says,
[00:07:59] And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
[00:08:10] Every action, every decision, every word should come from a place of gratitude for the God who loves us, forgives us, and blesses us.
[00:08:21] Brothers and sisters, every day is an opportunity to thank God for His mercy, grace, and love.
[00:08:28] If you're hearing this, you're already blessed and highly favored.
[00:08:32] Take a moment to reflect on the visible and invisible ways God works in your life.
[00:08:39] Thank Him not just for what He's done, but for who He is, a loving Father who wants the very best for you.
[00:08:49] Psalm 103 verses 8 through 12 reminds us that God's love is unfailing, His mercy is endless, and His forgiveness is complete.
[00:09:00] Let's live each day with a heart full of gratitude, knowing that we are deeply loved and richly blessed.
[00:09:08] If this message has encouraged you, share it with someone who needs a reminder of God's goodness.
[00:09:15] And as you go through your holiday, remember, every day is a day of thanksgiving, because God's blessings never end.
[00:09:25] I thank you for spending time with me on today, and I look forward to our conversation on tomorrow.
[00:09:32] Until then, God bless.
