Remember, there’s no separation between the natural you and the spiritual you. God wants to transform every part of your life so that you can fulfill the purpose for which you were created.
[00:00:37] Welcome to The Bible Speaks with your host Elgin Carelock.
[00:00:42] The Bible Speaks is a daily podcast dedicated to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ,
[00:00:49] rightly dividing the word of truth, and learning how to apply it to our daily lives.
[00:00:55] You may contact Elgin at the address given at the end of the broadcast.
[00:00:59] And now, here's Elgin.
[00:01:02] Brothers and sisters, I welcome you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit
[00:01:09] to another episode of Words of Inspiration.
[00:01:12] Well, we are not ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth.
[00:01:17] And today's episode is titled, Changing Your Life.
[00:01:23] Our inspiration comes from Ephesians chapter 4, verses 22 through 24.
[00:01:31] And reading from the New Living Translation, it reads,
[00:01:35] Throw off your old sinful nature and your formal way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception.
[00:01:44] Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.
[00:01:48] Put on your new nature, created to be like God, truly righteous and holy.
[00:01:56] This passage reminds us that true life change is not about adjusting our behavior or circumstances.
[00:02:04] It's about transformation.
[00:02:06] Becoming the person God created us to be, both naturally and spiritually.
[00:02:13] Let's explore how to align every area of our lives with God's purpose,
[00:02:19] allowing his supernatural power to bring about the change we desire.
[00:02:25] One of the biggest misconceptions we face is the idea that our natural life,
[00:02:32] meaning our careers, relationships, and emotions, are separate from our spiritual life.
[00:02:38] But as believers, there is no separation.
[00:02:42] Every aspect of who we are is interconnected, and God cares about it all.
[00:02:50] The Word of God isn't just for your Sunday morning worship.
[00:02:53] It's the foundation for everything you do.
[00:02:57] It provides guidance for your decisions, wisdom for your relationships, and strength for your challenges.
[00:03:05] But here's the key.
[00:03:07] While the Word of God gives us the principles for success,
[00:03:10] it takes God's supernatural power to bring those principles to fruition.
[00:03:17] Philippians 2 and 13, reading from the New Living Translation, reminds us,
[00:03:23] For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him.
[00:03:31] This means that every step you take toward change, whether it's improving your emotional health,
[00:03:37] building stronger relationships, or growing in your profession,
[00:03:41] must be rooted in God's power and aligned with His will.
[00:03:47] As believers, we all share a common purpose,
[00:03:50] to please God and to serve others.
[00:03:53] This is at the core of why we're here on earth.
[00:03:58] But the unique way we fulfill this purpose varies for each of us.
[00:04:04] The calling God has placed on your life is specific to you,
[00:04:08] and discovering it requires daily growth and dependence on Him.
[00:04:13] Matthew 22, verses 37-39, reading from the New International Version, reads,
[00:04:21] Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.
[00:04:28] This is the first and greatest commandment.
[00:04:31] And the second is like it.
[00:04:33] Love your neighbor as yourself.
[00:04:37] Changing your life isn't about personal gain.
[00:04:41] It's about becoming a person God can use to bless others.
[00:04:45] Every step you take toward transformation
[00:04:47] is a step toward fulfilling God's greater plan for your life.
[00:04:52] To be fully used by God,
[00:04:54] we must commit to growing in four key areas.
[00:04:59] Number one, emotions.
[00:05:02] Our emotional health affects how we respond to challenges
[00:05:05] and how we relate to others.
[00:05:07] Through prayer and reflection,
[00:05:09] we can allow God to heal past wounds
[00:05:12] and shape our hearts.
[00:05:14] Number two, relationships.
[00:05:16] The people around us play a significant role in our journey.
[00:05:21] We must strive to build relationships that reflect God's love,
[00:05:25] seeking reconciliation where needed,
[00:05:28] and showing grace in every interaction.
[00:05:31] Number three, profession.
[00:05:34] Whether you're a teacher, entrepreneur, or stay-at-home parent,
[00:05:38] your work is a form of worship.
[00:05:41] Approach it with excellence and integrity,
[00:05:43] knowing that God is glorified when you give your best.
[00:05:48] And finally, spiritual intelligence.
[00:05:51] This is about understanding who God is,
[00:05:54] who you are in Him,
[00:05:56] and how to walk in step with the Holy Spirit.
[00:05:59] As you study the Word and seek God in prayer,
[00:06:03] you'll develop the wisdom needed to navigate life's complexities.
[00:06:08] Each day is an opportunity to grow in these areas,
[00:06:11] allowing God to shape us into vessels for His purpose.
[00:06:15] The journey of life change is not always easy.
[00:06:19] There will be moments when progress feels slow,
[00:06:23] or challenges seem overwhelming.
[00:06:25] But remember, God's timing is perfect,
[00:06:28] and He is working all things together for your good.
[00:06:33] Jeremiah 29 and 11 says,
[00:06:36] For I know the plans I have for you,
[00:06:38] declares the Lord,
[00:06:40] plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
[00:06:43] plans to give you hope and a future.
[00:06:46] Trusting the process means surrendering your plans to God,
[00:06:51] and believing that He knows what's best.
[00:06:53] It also means relying on the Holy Spirit to lead you step by step.
[00:06:58] As you do this,
[00:06:59] you'll begin to see how every aspect of your life
[00:07:02] is connected to the purpose for which you are called.
[00:07:07] Brothers and sisters,
[00:07:08] I want to encourage you to embrace the journey of life change.
[00:07:12] Remember, there's no separation between the natural you and the spiritual you.
[00:07:18] God wants to transform every part of your life
[00:07:21] so that you can fulfill the purpose for which you were created.
[00:07:26] Ephesians 4 verses 22 through 24
[00:07:29] reminds us to throw off our old ways,
[00:07:33] allow the Spirit to renew us,
[00:07:35] and put on the new nature God has given us.
[00:07:38] This transformation is a daily process,
[00:07:42] but with God's Word as your guide
[00:07:45] and His power at work in you,
[00:07:48] nothing is impossible.
[00:07:51] If this message has inspired you,
[00:07:54] share it with someone who needs encouragement
[00:07:56] on their journey of transformation.
[00:07:59] And remember,
[00:08:00] the purpose God has for your life
[00:08:02] is greater than you can even imagine.
[00:08:05] Trust Him,
[00:08:05] grow daily,
[00:08:07] and let Him lead you to the fullness of your calling.
[00:08:11] I thank you for spending time with me on today,
[00:08:15] and I look forward to our conversation on tomorrow.
[00:08:18] Until then,
[00:08:20] God bless.
