[00:01:01] Elgin.
[00:01:02] Brothers and sisters, hi, welcome you in the name of the Father, this son, and Holy Spirit,
[00:01:10] do another episode of Words of Inspiration.
[00:01:14] Where we explore how God's Word provides practical wisdom for our everyday lives.
[00:01:21] And today, we're going to discuss a concept that can have a profound effect on your life.
[00:01:28] Our topic is, build your ark before it rains.
[00:01:34] Our inspiration comes from Proverbs 12 verse 15,
[00:01:40] and reading from the new international version, it reads,
[00:01:45] The way of fools seems right to them, but the wise listen to advice.
[00:01:52] This verse speaks about the importance of seeking and using wisdom in everything we do.
[00:02:00] It's especially relevant when we think about how to prepare for the future,
[00:02:05] and the purpose God has for our lives.
[00:02:09] Building your ark before it rains is about preparing for the purpose and the future God has
[00:02:14] stored for you before the storm hits.
[00:02:18] Just as Noah didn't wait for the rain to start building the ark,
[00:02:23] we too must prepare in advance for the calling God has placed in our lives.
[00:02:28] Proverbs 12 and 15 reminds us that the foolish follow their own path,
[00:02:35] thinking they know best, but the wise seeks guidance and plans accordingly.
[00:02:41] This means we shouldn't wait until we face challenges or difficulties to start building the foundation
[00:02:47] for what God is calling us to do. We need to use heavenly wisdom,
[00:02:53] listening to God's guidance and learning from the experience of others to start building now.
[00:03:00] Whether it's strengthening our relationship with God, honing our skills,
[00:03:05] we're stepping out in faith. Preparation is key.
[00:03:11] Think about Noah. He didn't build the ark based on what was happening around him.
[00:03:17] He built it based on the Word of God.
[00:03:21] Hebrews 11 verse 7, reading from the new international version reads,
[00:03:27] by faith, Noah, when warned about things yet not seen and holy fear built an ark to save his
[00:03:36] family. Noah's obedience wasn't dependent upon what he could see, but on the instructions
[00:03:43] he received from God. He used divine wisdom to take action, even when the skies were clear.
[00:03:50] In the same way faith in action means preparing for what God has promised, even if you can't
[00:03:57] see the evidence yet. Whether it's your career, ministry or family, God calls us to build the ark
[00:04:06] of preparation through prayer, study and discipline, trusting that he knows the path ahead.
[00:04:14] God has a purpose for every one of us, but often that purpose requires preparation and readiness.
[00:04:22] Proverbs 21 and 31 says, the horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests
[00:04:30] with it Lord. We have a responsibility to make ourselves ready, to prepare our hearts and minds
[00:04:38] and skills for the purpose God has an amorous, the victory belongs to God, but the preparation
[00:04:46] is on us. Building your ark before it rains means developing the discipline to prepare for success.
[00:04:56] Even when there's no immediate sign of trouble or opportunity, it's about being ready when God
[00:05:02] opens the door for your next move. Part of building your ark is surrounding yourself with wise counsel.
[00:05:11] Proverbs 12 and 15 reminds us that wisdom often comes through listening to the advice of others.
[00:05:19] In preparing for your purpose, it's important to learn from those who at walk similar paths,
[00:05:25] seek Godly mentors and stay open to the wisdom God provides through His Word and through others.
[00:05:32] Don't rely solely on your own understanding, but allow God to guide your steps through the
[00:05:38] people and resources He places in Your life. So what's the art God is calling you to build today?
[00:05:48] Maybe it's your own spiritual growth, your career, or your relationships.
[00:05:54] Whatever it is, the time to build is now. Don't wait for the storm to arrive before you start
[00:06:01] preparing. Use Heavenly wisdom, act in faith and trust that the preparation you do today
[00:06:09] will set the stage for God's purpose in your life tomorrow.
[00:06:15] Brothers and sisters I thank you for spending time with me on today
[00:06:19] and I look forward to our conversation on tomorrow. Until then, God bless.
