[00:01:02] Brothers and Sisters, I welcome you in the name of our risen Savior, Jesus to Christ, to another edition of Words of Inspiration. And today is the final episode in our series, The Christian Entrepreneur. And today's episode is titled, Bringing Glory to God Through Your Business.

[00:01:25] Our inspiration comes from Colossians 3 verses 23 through 24. And reading from the New International Version, it reads,

[00:01:35] Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

[00:01:52] The goal of every Christian entrepreneur should be to glorify God. But what does that look like in the business world? It's not about slapping a Bible verse on your product or service. It's about running your business in a way that reflects God's value, character, and love.

[00:02:10] So today we'll explore how to build businesses that glorify God. Using Genesis 1 verses 1 through 31 as a guide for assembling our companies with intentionality and care.

[00:02:26] As Christian entrepreneurs, our businesses are more than just vehicles for profit. They are platforms to glorify God.

[00:02:35] Colossians 3 verses 23 through 24 reminds us that our work is ultimately for the Lord.

[00:02:42] Whether you're designing a product, managing a team, or serving customers, your business is an opportunity to reflect God's character and values.

[00:02:52] This means excellence. Striving to give your best effort in every aspect of your business.

[00:03:01] Being honest and transparent in your dealing with employees, customers, and partner.

[00:03:07] And treating everyone with respect and kindness. Seeing them as image bearers of God.

[00:03:14] When people interact with your business, they should see something different.

[00:03:19] A commitment to excellence, integrity, and care that points them to Christ.

[00:03:26] The creation story in Genesis 1 verses 1 through 31 provides a perfect model for how to approach business.

[00:03:35] God created the world with purpose, order, and love.

[00:03:39] And each step of creation demonstrates intentionality.

[00:03:43] So let's use this as a framework for building our businesses.

[00:03:48] Day 1 was light.

[00:03:51] God began by creating light, bringing clarity and purpose.

[00:03:55] As entrepreneurs, this is where we define our mission and vision.

[00:04:01] Ask yourself, what is the purpose of your business?

[00:04:04] How does it serve others and glorify God?

[00:04:07] Day 2, sky and waters.

[00:04:12] God established boundaries and structure.

[00:04:15] In business, this means creating systems and processes that ensure efficiency, fairness, and accountability.

[00:04:24] Day 3, land and vegetation.

[00:04:27] God provided resources for life.

[00:04:30] Are you investing in the tools, training, and people needed for your business to thrive?

[00:04:36] Are you cultivating an environment where your team and customers can grow?

[00:04:41] Days 4 through 6.

[00:04:43] Filling the earth with life.

[00:04:46] Each creation was intentional and purposeful.

[00:04:50] Similarly, your products and services should meet specific needs and reflect the creativity God has placed in you.

[00:04:58] Day 7, rest.

[00:05:01] God rested and reflected on his work, declaring it very good.

[00:05:07] As business owners, we should take the time to evaluate our work, ensuring it aligns with God's purpose, and bringing him glory.

[00:05:16] Glorifying God in business means more than just doing good work.

[00:05:21] It means reflecting his character in every interaction.

[00:05:24] Your business should be a place where customers, employees, and partners experience God's love and integrity.

[00:05:32] Matthew 5 and 16 says,

[00:05:35] Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

[00:05:43] This is the essence of a God-honoring business, shining his light through your actions, decisions, and relationships.

[00:05:52] When you treat others with respect, prioritize fairness, and commit to excellence, you are pointing people to the God you serve.

[00:06:03] If you're wondering how to practically bring glory to God in your business, here are some actionable steps.

[00:06:11] Number one, define your values.

[00:06:15] Establish a set of values that reflect God's principles such as honesty, kindness, and diligence.

[00:06:21] Make these the foundation of your business decisions.

[00:06:26] Number two, commit to excellence.

[00:06:29] Whether it's in the quality of your product, the way you serve customers, or how you treat employees.

[00:06:36] Strive to do everything with excellence.

[00:06:40] Number three, be transparent.

[00:06:43] Build trust by being honest and upfront in your dealings with others.

[00:06:49] Number four, focus on relationships.

[00:06:53] Prioritize people over profit.

[00:06:57] Build meaningful relationships with your team, customers, and partners.

[00:07:03] Number five, pray over your business.

[00:07:06] Regularly seek God's guidance and wisdom for your decisions.

[00:07:11] Dedicate your business to him and trust him to work through it.

[00:07:17] When you run your business with the goal of glorifying God,

[00:07:20] it has a ripple effect.

[00:07:23] Customers see integrity and care, which builds trust and loyalty.

[00:07:29] Employees feel valued and motivated, creating a positive work environment.

[00:07:35] Partners respect your commitment to fairness and excellence.

[00:07:39] And the community sees a reflection of God's love through your actions.

[00:07:44] Your business becomes more than a place of commerce.

[00:07:48] It becomes a ministry that impacts lives and points people to Christ.

[00:07:55] Brothers and sisters, remember that the ultimate goal of our work is to glorify God.

[00:08:00] When we approach our businesses with the same love, care, and intentionality that God demonstrated in creation,

[00:08:08] we reflect his character and make a lasting impact on those around us.

[00:08:14] Colossians 3 verses 23 to 24 reminds us that our work is for the Lord.

[00:08:20] So as you build your business, ask yourself, does this reflect God's values?

[00:08:27] Does this bring him glory?

[00:08:29] If the answer is yes, you're on the right path.

[00:08:34] If today's message has inspired you, share it with someone who's on a similar journey.

[00:08:39] And remember, when you build your business for God's glory, you're creating something that lasts far beyond this life.

[00:08:48] I thank you for spending time with me on today.

[00:08:52] And I look forward to our conversation on tomorrow.

[00:08:55] Until then, God bless.
