Today, we will explore how, when the enemy comes in like a flood, it’s up to us to stand on the standard God has provided. We’ll discuss how to learn from these overwhelming experiences and how we can use them to bless others by witnessing, encouraging, and guiding them through their own storms.

[00:01:02] Brothers and sisters, I welcome you in the name of Yeshua HaMashiach to another episode of Words of Inspiration.
[00:01:12] Where we turn to God's word for wisdom, guidance, and strength for every season of life.
[00:01:19] And today's episode is titled, After the Flood.
[00:01:26] Our inspiration comes from Isaiah 59 verse 19, which says,
[00:01:33] So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun.
[00:01:41] When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.
[00:01:48] Today, we will discuss how when the enemy comes in like a flood, it's up to us to stand on the standard God has provided.
[00:01:57] We'll discuss how to learn from these overwhelming experiences, and how we can use those to bless others by witnessing, encouraging, and guiding them through their own storms.
[00:02:11] In Isaiah 59 and 19, the flood symbolizes the overwhelming attacks of the enemy.
[00:02:18] Times when it feels like everything is coming against us all at once.
[00:02:23] These floods can take many forms.
[00:02:26] Challenges in our finances, health, relationships, or even spiritual battles.
[00:02:32] In these moments, it feels like we're drowning in our circumstances.
[00:02:37] But this verse gives us a powerful promise.
[00:02:41] God says,
[00:02:42] When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.
[00:02:49] This means that no matter how overwhelming the situation feels, God has already set a defense for us.
[00:02:56] That standard is his word, his promises, and the strength of his Spirit working in our lives.
[00:03:04] The enemy may try to flood us with doubt, fear, or hardship.
[00:03:09] But God raises a barrier that no flood can breach.
[00:03:14] The key to overcoming the flood is standing on the standard that God has provided.
[00:03:19] When life feels overwhelming, we must stand firm in our faith and hold on to the truths of God's word.
[00:03:27] The standard God lifts up is his unshakable promises, his faithfulness, his power, and his commitment to fight for us.
[00:03:39] Psalm 46 and 1 reminds us,
[00:03:42] God is our refuge and strength.
[00:03:47] A very present help in trouble.
[00:03:51] In the face of adversity, it's easy to focus on the flood and on the problem itself.
[00:03:58] But as believers, we're called to focus on the standard God has raised.
[00:04:03] We trust that his word is true, that he will never leave us, and that he will provide a way of escape or victory, no matter how dire the situation seems.
[00:04:16] After the flood passes, we're often left stronger and wiser.
[00:04:21] Every trial and difficulty we face is an opportunity to grow in faith, endurance, and understanding.
[00:04:29] James 1, verses 2-4 says,
[00:04:33] My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into diverse temptations, knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
[00:04:43] But let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
[00:04:50] The floods of life are not just obstacles.
[00:04:54] They're teachers.
[00:04:54] Through them, God refines our character, deepens our trust in him, and equips us for greater challenges ahead.
[00:05:04] After you've gone through your flood, take the time to reflect on what you've learned.
[00:05:10] How has God shown himself faithful?
[00:05:13] How have you grown in your faith?
[00:05:16] One of the most powerful outcomes of surviving a flood is the testimony you carry with you.
[00:05:22] When you've experienced God's deliverance, you have the opportunity to witness to others who may be facing their own floods.
[00:05:31] Your story of God's faithfulness can be the encouragement someone else needs to stand firm in their faith.
[00:05:39] 2 Corinthians 1-4 says,
[00:05:42] Who comforteth us in all our tribulations, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
[00:05:56] Your experiences are not just for you.
[00:05:59] They are meant to be shared.
[00:06:01] By witnessing to others, you offer hope and encouragement, guiding them through their trials with the wisdom you've gained.
[00:06:11] Brothers and sisters, let's remember that when the enemy comes in like a flood, it's God who raises the standard.
[00:06:19] We're called to stand on that standard, trusting in his promises and allowing him to strengthen us through the storm.
[00:06:27] After the flood, we emerge stronger, wiser, and ready to bless others by sharing how God has delivered us.
[00:06:38] I thank you for spending time with me on today, and I look forward to our conversation on tomorrow.
[00:06:45] Until then, God bless.
