[00:00:00] Let us pray, pray together on our knees, let us pray together on our knees. And I fall on my knees with my face to the rise in sun, or no one can be seen on the day. Welcome to Words of Inspiration with your host and teacher, Elgin Carelock.

[00:00:32] And now let's hear from Elgin. But this is I welcome you today from wherever you are in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus, to Christ. And look forward to an opportunity to share with you what the Holy Spirit shared with me.

[00:00:47] Today I wanted to speak on the subject of Godly leadership. When Jesus said that He expects us to go and spread the word to the ends of the earth, that includes every facet of society, both in a church and in the marketplace.

[00:01:04] And we are to be His beacons in the marketplace. God wants to have believers in powers of position and influence so that we can take care of the least of these. So that we can show the world the level of love that He showed us.

[00:01:21] And with that it brings me to an example in Scripture of Godly leadership that will be very familiar to you, the story of Ruth and Naomi. The story begins with Naomi, who along with her husband and two sons, had migrated to Moab due to a famine in Israel.

[00:01:42] Tragically, Naomi's husband and son's diet, leaving her a widow with her Moabite daughter-in-law's, Orpa and Ruth. While Orpa decides to return to her own people, Ruth makes a heartfelt declaration to Naomi. But Ruth replied, don't urge me to leave you or to turn back from you.

[00:02:04] Where you go, I will go. And where you stay, I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God, my God. Where you die, I will die. And there, I will be buried.

[00:02:17] May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely if even death separates you and me. When Naomi realized that Ruth was determined to go with her, she stopped urging her.

[00:02:29] What did Ruth see in Naomi that made her not want to return to her home country and her family? What type of leadership did Naomi show that what that made Ruth want to spend the rest of her life with her?

[00:02:45] I wanted to give you some attributes of what a Godly leader is, so that we can make sure that we're carrying it into the marketplace as Christians. And at a higher level. Number one is integrity. Godly leaders are expected to embody honest, transparent and moral upratedness.

[00:03:07] They lead with integrity and strive to maintain a strong moral character in all aspects of their lives. Number two, servant leadership. Following the example of Jesus who emphasized serving others, Godly leaders prioritize service and humility.

[00:03:25] They are dedicated to meeting the needs of others and contributing to the well-being of their community. Number three, compassion and empathy. Godly leaders are characterized by compassion and empathy toward others. They seek to understand and address concerns, struggles, and the needs of those under their care.

[00:03:46] Wisdom and discernment. Drawing on spiritual wisdom and discernment, Godly leaders make decisions with consideration. For the greater good and people under their report. They seek guidance through prayer and spiritual practices. Empowerment. Godly leaders empower and uplift those around them.

[00:04:07] Fostering and environment where individuals can grow spiritually, morally and personally. So brothers and sisters, be that Godly leader. Let your lives all shine. And until next week, meet my bless you. I am honored to be honored to be honored. I am honored to be honored to be honored.

[00:04:33] I am honored to be honored. Words of inspiration with oddly McLean is a ministry of harvest international. You may write to oddly at harvest international, post-Ovus Box 660-90, Hocala Florida 34478.
