The Bible clearly teaches that believers are blessed to be a blessing. God’s blessings are given not just for personal enjoyment but to be shared with others, to advance His kingdom, and to reflect His character.
[00:00:00] We're the spray friends together on our knees, let us pray friends together on our knees. And I fall on my knees with my face to the rise in sun, all over the earth, you see on the knees.
[00:00:27] Welcome to the Bible Speaks with Elgin Carelock. The Bible Speaks is a weekly ministry of harvest international.

[00:00:46] Brothers and sisters, I welcome you in the name of Yeshua, Hama-Shia to another edition of Words of Inspiration. And today we're going to have a discussion on the topic of You, Are The Door. Our spiritual inspiration comes from Luke, chapter 6, verse 38,
[00:01:10] which reads, give and it shall be given unto you. Good measure, press down and shake in together and running over. Show men given to your bosom, for with the same measure that you meet with all is shall be measured to you again.
[00:01:32] This is a very familiar passage for believers, especially if you attend church during offering time. While it is certainly relevant in that scenario, I want to discuss the meaning and reference to how we treat one another. In Matthew 25, verses 44 through 45, reading from the new international version, it reads,
[00:02:01] they also will answer, Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty, or a stranger, or needing clothes, or sick, or in prison, and did not help you?
[00:02:15] He will repire, truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.
[00:02:26] Jesus is telling them that if they see others in need and do nothing when they were able, their mistreatment of them is just like mistreating him. After all, the two greatest commandments include to love thy neighbor as thy self.
[00:02:45] What I want to share with you today is the understanding that we sometimes go to the Lord asking him to open doors for us. That can be financial doors, healing doors, relational doors, etc.
[00:03:00] But what we felt to realize is that we are supposed to be the door for someone else. When you look at how Jesus describes the Holy Spirit as an advocate, computer, teacher, convictor, guy, glorifier of Christ and source of empowerment,
[00:03:22] if the Holy Spirit resizes us, then we are to be the same. There is someone praying to God right now for a door to be open that can only be opened by you through the power of the Holy Spirit.
[00:03:40] The Scripture bears this out in Ephesians chapter 3 verse 20B, where it says, according to the power that works in us.
[00:03:52] You see the exceeding abundantly above all we can ask or think, is the reward for us using the power that works in us to bless the lives of others which ultimately brings God glory.
[00:04:08] In 1 Peter 4 verse 10 reading from the English Standard version, it tells us as each has received a gift, use it to serve one another.
[00:04:22] As good stewards of God's very grace, I was returning from a business trip and was walking through an airport looking for the place to be picked up by Uber. There were signage overhead but it wasn't very clear.
[00:04:38] As I walked around I noticed something on the floor just ahead of me and as I approached I noticed that it was money. So I picked it up and put it in my pocket.
[00:04:50] After not having much luck on my own there was an older woman mop in the floor at the bottom of an escalator and I asked her where I needed to go to be picked up by Uber.
[00:05:01] She not only told me but stopped when she was doing and walked me to the location. Her act of kindness was truly a blessing, but it also explained why God put the money in my path earlier.
[00:05:16] So I gave the money to her. She was very surprised and that first tried to resist me, but she ultimately took it and we both were blessed. This is especially true in leadership.
[00:05:32] If you are a leader of people and you have a product that you are taking out into the market, you should not be asking what the product should be in order to receive money for.
[00:05:45] You should be asking how does my product bless others so that I too may be blessed. Brothers and sisters, the Bible clearly teaches that believers are blessed to be a blessing.
[00:06:01] God's blessings are given not just for personal enjoyment but to be shared with others to advance his kingdom and to reflect his character. This principle encourages a lifestyle of generosity, service and stewardship where believers use their resources, talents and opportunities to bless others and bring glory to God.
[00:06:26] Living out this calling for feels God's purposes and leads to a more abundant, meaningful life in Christ. I thank you for spending time with me on today and I look forward to our conversation on tomorrow. Until then, God bless. I've won!
